Review Trishul - Shimla

Mudit Tandon
Made famous by preity zinta, this place has the best pastries. Yes, cakes are soft, the quality of the bread is great, the creamy layers add to it. Honestly, not the best cake ever, but a very good one on the list. Make sure you go ahead of time and stand in queue for long as they get sold out almost instantly.

If you had to try just one bakery in Shimla, that has to be this! We put this bakery in our bucket list we heard Preety Zinta say in an interview that this is her favourite cafe in Shimla. We reached really late at about 8:30 pm and they stay open from 10:30 am till about 9 pm. The staff was extremely courteous and gentle. As they are so popular, most times were sold out and only few things were left. We tried the mushroom pattys, Black Forest pastry and the chocolate pyramid pastry. All the things we tried tasted exceptional and took us a trip down the memory lane. They were all so light, cloudy and yet delicious. The best part was that no item was expensive, and after eating our hearts out for 4 people the bill was about ₹550. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone planning a visit to Shimla; it's worth it!

Amazing experience having chocolate filled cake, other baked items were quite fresh and the taste, quality of the items has no comparison over others. Must visit this old place to try out their unique dessert options.

The patties and the pastries are good. The snacks are getting sold out fast. And It’s always crowded but It’s worth it. Value for money.

Made recently famous, this is very close to the Ridge. Just walk down the stairs next to Goofa Restaurant and just 2 flights down you will see this small corner shop. No seating area so one needs to sit on nearby walls. Chocolate pastry we ordered was not that good. However Pizza and Momos were good. It gets crowded in evening and runs out of specific items. Overall a decent bakery.

Trishool bakery is near scandal Point shimla. And it's very old pastry shop there. And after Preity Zinta said that she used to eat there, it's more famous now. We ordered cream rolls there. It was yummy. Actually we wanted to try there famous pastries but we reached at 8 pm & mostly everything is finished. So if you want to try there famous pastries go in day time.

This bakery has a great variety of food with affordable pricing. The chicken puff and the hazelnut pastry (must try). As this place is bombarded with people so go during morning hours to try out their delicacies.

This is one of the most famous bakeries in Shimla-mall road. The chocolate pastry, eclairs and their trademark spoonli were really nice and fresh. Really loved their patties too, burgers were average. But its definitely worth visiting. Do go earlier in the day as things get sold out soon. The owners and staff are also very nice and cheerful.

A good reasonably priced bakery at mall road, cleaner and more hygienic than few so called legendary bakery in Shimla, quality is also good so as price.

A historical and famous outlet dealing only in cash and not issuing invoice is not acceptable. Choice must be given to make cashless transaction and invoice must be issued.

It is a little bakery located at the Mall of Shimla. We found shop fully occupied every time we passed by it and hence decided to give it a try. The mutton Momo looked delicious and we ordered that, but to our dismay, it was too smelly to eat. May be the localities are used to the smell but it was too strong and wild for us to handle. However,we also took some packed strawberry cookies from the shop which were good. Overall, I didn't find the bakery anything extraordinary but it was a very pocket friendly place.

Trishool Bakers is a small bakery at Mall road and is in service since 1959. It is always busy with patrons swarming in for their delectable pastries, cakes, rolls and buns.

We had Veg bun, kathi roll, veg pattie, walnut pie, caramel cappuccino and americano black coffee. Everything was delicious and one should go visit this when in Shimla.

Shimla diary!!
My fav bakery in Shimla over the years has been the famed Trishool bakery at Mall road.On every Shimla visit,a snack meal at Trishool is an important part of Mall road excursion.
This time as in earlier all cases,we went to Trishool, which has shifted from its original old location .We tried the fav Chicken patty and must say it remains my fav chicken patty alongwith Wenger's at CP-New delhi. The vegetable hot dog was yummy!! They have mutton Momos which ,I have at Nainital Tibetan market. They were decent.
For desert the chocolate SPOONIE ,which is their signature pastry just was the way we wanted to end the snack meal.
Must say it still retains the taste and is still pocket friendly!!!

Since childhood we have been visiting them. It is like a tradition, whenever we visit Shimla we are going to have their chocolate pastry (i bet you will not be satisfied with one!). The taste is one of the best in the world.

Value for money, pastries are a must try!

Tried their veg momos which were quite good. The masala within was excellent though the outside was a little bit doughy. Service is fast. You can takeaway and eat at your pace sitting on one of the terrace ledges on the mall road.

It's been six years, it's a tradition to go to Shimla every year and this is one of the bakers I visit everytime I am in Shimla. Their Chicken Momos is a must try, however you can pass their Mutton Momos as it's lamb meat not goat, so it smells and believe me it's horrible.
They have good bakery products and the prices are reasonable too.
Do grab a quick bite from them, be it Eclair pastry or Chicken Momos or anything else, when you're on the Mall.

Just had a mushroom patty, Walnut pie and coffee. Damn fresh. Absolutely recommended.

If they can add some more seating around, they ll get 5. Come to Delhi guys.

Also, Shimla is freezing already. That doesn't matter to the review. Don't judge me.

Another childhood favourite.. progressed with time but retains the old taste.. a must try is the eggless chocolate pastry, eclairs and now momos... they have another sweet puff pastry on the menu I don’t remember the name.... they have included s lot of new things on the menu which I am yet to explore.. this is one of the places which reminds one of the old Shimla...

Go to Trishool in Mall road in case you want to try some pastries or other sweet delicacies.. The place is almost jam packed whenever you visit it owing to the years of Goodwill it has earned.. Do try their Spoony if it is available which is one of their specialities.. not available during the monsoon season as it loses it crunchiness

We tried their flake pastry as well as Dark Chocolate Brownie.. Both were good
