Review Alfa Restaurant - Shimla

Raj Laxmi
I visited this restaurant called Alfa when I was in Shimla, and let me tell you, it was a great experience. I ordered three dishes, but the star of the show was the Murg Mussalam. The chicken was packed with flavor – it was like an explosion of taste in every bite. Seriously, it was bursting with deliciousness. Now, let's talk about the Missi Roti and Naan – they were spot on. But what really impressed me was the quantity. They didn't skimp on portions, and I left the place feeling completely satisfied. Plus, they went the extra mile by warming the plates before serving, which was a nice touch. At the end of the meal, they provided bowls for washing hands, and the water was warm. They even added a slice of lemon to it. It's these little things that make a dining experience memorable. All in all, if you're in Shimla and looking for a good meal, Alfa is definitely worth checking out.

A very cosy restaurant at the mall shimla, veg/non veg with alcoholic drinks all available. Staff is very supportive and helps you to choose best for you. Prices are moderate and food quality is good. A must visit place when you are in Shimla.

Located at the scandal point, the mall. Place is cozy and no rush during my visit. Plenty of options available in both and non-veg.

Alfa is an icon in Shimla. The location i.e. The Scandal point makes it crowded yet famous. It's a go to place for nearby office employees, tourists and locals too. Food is nice... Okaish sort..(as per price). Staff is nice too.

Anyone going to mall road who is craving for some tasty and hot food can visit this place without a second thought. Really good service and ambience is also on point. Tried their chicken sizzler which had the most top notch taste and was easily one of the best sizzlers i have had. Had chicken hot n sour soup here as well which was really great and tasted absolutely amazing. Must try this place!

Please like and share this review if you find it useful. On our walk on the heritage walk 1 and of course after walking so much from Peteroff to Mall Road, Alfa was immensely satisfying. Ambience: It was early evening and Alfa was all lit up bright on the outside and also inside. There are two sections and one can choose to sit on the outside or the inside part of the restaurant. The place is quaint and reminds you of the great architecture in the region around. Staff: The most decent and humble staff is guaranteed here. They keep around to see if you are in need of something. Adjusts the servings. Suggests good options if one is confused (guilty as charged). Waits for slow order givers like myself 🤣 and have all the patience in the world to even click your pictures with a bright smile on their face. So yeah wonderful staff😍 Food: We had ordered cream chicken soup and hot and sour soup (which was suggested by the staff present) and it was yum! In the main course we had ordered Paneer Pasanda and Dal Makhni with breads namely Tandoori Roti and Butter Naan. The food tasted heavenly. I would like to make special mention to the Butter Naan. It was actually buttery and it had layers drenched in butter 😍 I had not eaten such Butter Naan before. It was beyond my expectations. I simply loved the restaurant and would visit it now forth whenever I plan to visit Mall Road. And I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to indulge in good quality food and service✌️ Kudos to the restaurant staff.

A must eat place at Mall Road for piping hot, fresh and healthy meals. And a large place to sit inside. The steward was quite courteous and they followed all COVID Protocols.

This eatery in Shimla had everything from a warm and cozy ambience to some very courteous staff. I walked in and ordered for a chicken sizzler and chicken biryani.
When the sizzler arrived, I was a little surprised because I couldn't see the piece of chicken as it was all covered in a gravy and there I could only see boiler vegetables and fries on the sides.
But as soon as I dug in, I found a chicken cutlet made of minced chicken and seasoned just perfectly! It was simply delicious with the gravy. Totally worth the money!

On the hill of Himachal, this restro on mall road is serving some fantastic quality of food. The service is good along with the ambience. Peaceful and clean. The quality of food is good. Coffee is perfect in taste. Chicken pasta is also good with good amount of chicken in it. Chicken omlete is the best one with it's awesome fillings.
Always recommended.
Follow on Instagram The Taste Of Delhi

Place is located at mall road,Shimla.
Place has really good ambiance.
But food is literally overrated and highly overpriced.
We came on basis of good ratings and pictures but staff is really not cooperative and rude.

Wanderforhunger don't suggest any dishes here.

I was dying to visit this place and visited for the first time today. Impolite and unwelcoming staff. No one was coming to take the order, the one who came left halfway. Felt like we are a burden on them and they are ones doing us a favour. 😒 #NeverAgain

Things are overly priced according to the quality and taste of the food. Their veg honey crispy is pathetic and they chicken corn soup is - -. Not recommended at all. Ambience and music is not bad

On our last day in Shimla, we decided to have a meal at a restaurant. During our recent visit to the Wake and Bake Cafe, we came across this restaurant which stated that it served Indian, Chinese and Continental food. After checking local reviews we decided to check in.

The place is a bit rustic and gives you a feel of an old restaurant once you enter; however, it's not as small as it looks from the outside. It has the capacity to seat a minimum of 30 people in one sitting. We decided to try their chinese menu by ordering for a portion of veg spring rolls, crispy chilly potatoes, chicken fried rice and a chicken American chopsuey. The spring rolls were oily, yet good to taste. Not bad to start off the meal. The crispy chilly potatoes were quite a helping when served. Good enough for two people, and good to taste. The chicken fried rice, though not authentic, had a distinct taste, which would make you want to try some more. Good flavour and enough for two people. The chopsuey was a surprise. It's been a while since I've eaten a good chopsuey. This one did justice to it :-)

The meal was good and satisfying. The staff complimented the food with their service quality. Soft spoken and on their toes to assist.

If in Shimla, keep Alfa's on your list if hungry :-)

Its definitely 3.5, not just 3.
I just had the much famous Mutton keema samosa here, as I just had a few hours in the city to eat and a lot to explore, the samosa was good as I could have all the flavour and that aroma of mutton was perfectly coming, which was great, and also the place was cozy yet another positive for me.
I am again repeating that I am moreover rating a single dish here. However post my trip a friend of mine suggested me to try Chineese here which is due for next time. If you do try just let me know :p

Happy Eating :)

The food here at alfa is amazing. I love the vegetable cheese sizzler and the chicken sizzler. The white sauce pasta is also one of the best things that they serve here. I have been here so many times. The staff is good but some of them don't seem interested in serving the customers at all and keep gossiping at the counter. Otherwise it is good enough.

Situated right in front of scandal, this place is an old school family restaurant. They've got everything from pakodas to butter chicken, great indo-chinese food and some good sizzeler options.
Recommendedations: butter chicken, mutton gravies, chai, pakodas and the chicken sizzler.

Good Seating..., Tasty food. Good place to have some quality food on Mall Road. Things are over priced but as compared to other places the rates are fine.
The rates doesn’t look over priced after you enjoy the food.
Again worth a try.
