Review Shree Sainath - Surat

Gaurav Trivedi
This is one of the oldest South Indian jointโ€ฆ the menu is limited with dosa and idli and medu Wada - they also have some sandwich and burger options. The fast food here is ok - above average. The South Indian food is delicious. They have limited place to make people sit so there is always a queue and average waiting time of 10-15 mins on normal days and 30-40 minutes on weekends and holidays.

The very famous south indian restaurant in west zone is this one. Heavy rush in weekends. This is the best choice for the people fond of spicy south indian food. We love Fried Idlies , Punjabi Samosa & Maisur Masala-in-butter. In my opinion, now there is time to expand space to accommodate more people for dine in...So that waiting period can be minimised.

One of the best places to go if you are craving for South Indian food. I have been going here for past 15 years and the taste is still very good. It has 2 other outlets, one in Nanpura and other in Arcade square, both equally good.

I recently visited Shree Sainath Snacks And Juices, and it's undoubtedly one of the best authentic South Indian food joints in the area. The staff was not only polite but also efficient, providing excellent service throughout my visit. The hygiene standards were commendable, ensuring a clean and comfortable dining experience. The authenticity of the food stood out, capturing the true flavors of South Indian cuisine. From crispy dosas to flavorful sambar, every dish showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs. The popularity of this place is evident from the crowds it attracts, making it a local favorite. Despite the slight crowding, the overall ambiance was lively and reflected the warmth of South Indian hospitality. The menu offered a diverse range of options, catering to different tastes. Whether you're a fan of traditional dosas or prefer refreshing juices, Shree Sainath Snacks And Juices has something for everyone. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a genuine South Indian culinary experience with friendly staff and a commitment to hygiene. It's a must-visit for both locals and visitors seeking an authentic taste of the region.

If you're in the Adajan area and craving South Indian cuisine, I highly recommend checking out this place. They offer a variety of South Indian dishes as well as fast food options like pizza and sandwiches. However, their Mysore dosa is definitely the star of the show and is extremely popular among their customers. I've been enjoying their Mysore dosa for the past 3-4 years and the taste has remained consistently delicious. Another dish I highly recommend trying is their plain rawa dosa, which is wonderfully crispy. Do keep in mind that on weekends, the wait for a table can be around 20-30 minutes, but it's definitely worth it for the food. Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic South Indian cuisine in the Adajan area.

Awesome place for Surti Style Dosa. The place has now become a synonym for Mysore Masala dosa in Surat. Itโ€™s a small Eatery and tends to get very noisy and crowded, specially during the Lunch Hours.
Himanshu Kantharia
Hand down the best South Indian food shop in Adajan. Their sambhar and chutney is superb. They also serve superb pizza, sandwich and burgers. Tea, juices and lassi is available as beverage. They have both AC and non-AC seating. The palce is hygienic and serves very tasty food. Must visit and try Rava masala dhosa, Italian Grilled sandwich, Special Pizza and Tea.

Authentic South Indian Food... Food was really good, there is only little issue with the sitting area for that they need to do something because it feels like very sophisticated.

Service is so fast like South films. Taste of course delicious. Never take parcels of dosas. Your teeth start paining to chew them.. Funny but serious.. Dosas will become chewy. Sambhar is full of masala so if you donโ€™t like then you should not prefer this restaurant. Go for mysore cafe. NRIs always go there because they cannot eat spicy.

I was searching for some good options and found this place nearby so thought to have some dishes here..

Plain Dosa - Dosa was soft.. Sambhar and chatni both were good in taste..

Onion & Tomato Uttapam - Perfectly prepared.. Tasty.. Must try..

Overall nice place for dinner.. Quantity and quality both are good as compare to rates they charge per serving..

Excellent food. Wish they start home delivery. Dosa , uttapam , coconut chutney are too good. Quality good and price reasonable. small place but. Recommend for take-away or to enjoy outdoor simple seating.

Good place to have authentic south Indian food. Normal seating comforts, parking little disappointing. Food quality, quantity is judge rates.
Must try
Nirali
The place is best for quick south indian snack. Ordered masala uttapam which was crisp and tasty along with sambhar and chutney.

Uttapam had small green chillies which would burn your mouth. So before ordering inform them if you dont need chillies. Sambhar could be much better in the matter of taste and consistancy. Coconut chutney was the best. Quick service and place is clean.

Only pure south indian restaurant for you if you are a South Indian or mumbaikar. All other south indian restaurants have made them according to the surti taste.
We have masala dosa, tomato onion utthappam and grill cheese sandwich. Both dosa and uttappa were awesome. Sandwich was not that good. Sambar is superb.

I go to this place often since it is really close to where I stay. The place is always crowded..trust me always crowded.People are waiting anytime u go there after 7.
The reason I will state below:
1)there food is good. All there Dosa's are really up to our exceptions. sambar and chutney is also tasty.
2)Food is really economical.
3)There service is good and also very organized.

It's a really good place to eat a casual south indian dinner.
Shana
Canteen style restaurant serving good south indian snacks and fast food. I like this place for it maintains consistency in quality of their food and service. It serves best mysore masala in town. ย Prices are very reasonable with rates matching their offerings making it a place to frequent.

Tip: Avoid weekends-can get very crowded with long waiting time.

Good food, if you want to eat simple south Indian food it is great place in Surat. Specially Mysore dosaย is having superb taste and good quantity.
Vinit Bhatt
Good south indian food with a nice place to dine in. My mom and dad simply love the south indian dhosas of this place. They don't charge even much.
Ritesh Tailor
This is one of the best south-indian food restaurants which also serve fast food in Adajan from around last 8-10 years. This restaurant was first opened near Bhulka Bhavan school and 2 or 3 years ago this moved here. I visit this restaurant from last 5-7 years to have delicious dosas, vada-sambar, pizzas, sandwiches and still these all taste like before. You will have to wait in queue on sundays to get a table, but the staff is supportive so you don't have to wait more.

Must visit!
Dr. Deep H. Wankawala
The same old thing from Anna, just another outlet.

Everything, literally everything is the same, but nothing will ever beat the ambiance of the nanpura stall.
Slesha Sanghvi
Worst place to visit. Food was very bad, not as per expectations. Quality and Quantity both are degraded. I can't understand why people are waiting in long queues for such a bad quality food. Size of dosa was very small, like a chapati. Sitting area is also suffocating. ACs were not working properly. Nothing special to eat there. You can easily find better place than this for South Indian food. Rates are not as per quality. Not recommended at all.
Dhaval
If you wanna have original south Indian taste will recommend this place for sure. All time favorite place for dhosa and other south Indian dishes.

This place is always full with early morning joggers.A decent place to have quick breakfast. Good food. Service is fast. Not expensive very pocket friendly.
Pratik Gandhi
This had been a mandatory venue for every Sunday breakfast... With morning walk being optional .. All items are indeed too good...
Though I personally feel #Samosa are over rated...

Good thing abt it, they serve you tea too... N also allow breakfast from neighbours viz dabeli centre... N fafda... Which turns our breakfast into brunch...

When u are south Indian brought up in surat, you very well understand the difference between a hardcore typical south Indian food and a gujju flavor influenced south Indian food. Both have there own strong identities and depends on your pallete if you enjoy only the earlier or the later and may be even both.

Shree sainath is one such joint where you don't get a typical south Indian flavor but it definitely stands tall among other south Indian restaurants in the city.

Ambience is decent, place is clean, it is always crowded and food served is quick and hot.
My favourite is mysore masala and idli sambar. Rest other items are good too.

Visited many times to this restaurant. An authentic south Indian cousin... Great test at very economical price.

Must try : south Indian samosa.

Any time you go be it breakfast lunch or dinner time test and hospitality is excellent.
Deep Desai
Decent place. Too long that I visited. All I know about this place is it serves quite decent food at a reasonable price. One of the good street side joints.
MANAN SHAH
Excellent place for south indian food...dhosa are like u will never find anywhere...they only started Mysore Masala with separate sabji I think as I do visit them since my childhood n since they had first restaurant at Nanpura...sambhaar, chatni are like you will feel to eat more n more...u will never find this kind of dhosas anywhere ever for sure...have been visiting this place every time I do visit Surat...

Date of Visit: 28th October 2015, Wednesday
Timings: 2:00 p.m

Looking for a quick lunch options and a quick thought of having South Indian food ran through my mind.

Finally, decided to have Mysore masala @ Shree Sainath. I am very regular to this place and this place never disappoints. Consistent taste, nice n crispy dosa, sambhar n chutney is too good. Sweet lime water is always a good substitute of soda to have it with Mysore masala.

Sakshi Singhal
Visited Sainath Dosa yesterday with my family and we liked the place and food. We ordered Idli, Mysore Dosa and a big sized Panner dosa. Service was quick, tables were neat & clean and the waiter was very courteous. However, the taste was not upto the mark. The Dosa wasn't crisp to start with and the sambar was very diluted.

It is a good option if you quickly want to take a bite and get away with.
Anuj Muttha
Must try dosa here, paper dosa, masala dosa, samosas & juice. superb quality delicious food, weekends have to wait for more than 1hr as place is not so big but worth waiting for an hr also. thanks do visit and enjoy.
