Heared so much about this place from folks and it was a good experience for me. There service was good, there food was nice and have good variety to choose from. Seating arrangements were not so good and comfortable, ambience was also not bad. Over all good place to chill out.

A unique concept. Fans of chemistry will go bonkers over this. The food was nice as well and the staff was well mannered. It is a pure vegetarian restaurant. The cocktails were served in testubes and flasks. The nachos and falafel were decent as well.

I love the uniqueness of their food. I would give 10/10 for food presentation as well as the taste of the food! I loved the arrabiata pasta that they had. Falafels were awesome as well. I would suggest lemon mint mojito in the mocktail’s section

One of the best place to chill. Also, the interior is amazing. You could get some good clicks. White sauce Pasta is a must try. Garlic bread is also good. Overall, it’s nice!!

Nice little place, food is good but not totally authentic. Prices are slightly on a higher side.

The place is good for hanging out. The food is good. The speciality of here is the test tube drink. A few drinks are served in a test tube here. Pizzas are also pretty ok

A dainty little place with choices from Lebanese to Mexican to Italian cuisine as well as select desserts, their pita breads are their best and worth a try if you ever choose to go here, the aesthetic is a bit meh and the seats are uncomfortable, and oh yeah they have literal toilet paper rolls instead of tissues

To be honest the waiters in lab costume was something new I saw there, and the place is good in terms of ambience. Now talking about food I would say it was good the hummus sauce I think could be much better and more original, otherwise the food taste good. I would recommend this for a casual meet.

I had ordered sushi felafel and I was surprised by the small quantity they give for 200 bucks. It had just half a piece of felafel and rest all were just veggies in a pita bread. Waste of money and not at all worth the amount.

Have visited couple of time. Thin crust are must try,especially the manakish. The quality of the food items have been consistent over the visits. Ambience is ok but the steats are very uncomfortable to sit even for half an hour.

I went there last evening - not quite knowing what to expect. To say I was happily and pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. The people there are very polite and genuinely care about your comfort. Since I avoid dairy, I requested for garlic bread to be made using olive oil instead of butter - which they unhesitatingly agreed to - I really appreciate them for this - because very few restaurants do that. The garlic bread was crispy, with just the right amount of crushed garlic. They served it with a spicy dip - made in-house - amazing. The space, garlic, olive oil, and the freshness of the bread was what good, soul food is... the felafel I ordered was amazing too - except I forgot to ask them to toast the pita first (since that is a personal preference - I wouldn’t hold it against them) <br/><br/>What was truly amazing was the hummus - so creamy, so rich - redolent with Mediterranean and Lebanese flavors - in fact, this is one of the very best hummus I have tasted. Kudos to the chef for this one <br/><br/>All in all, a lovely meal. A place I will go to every time I visit Surat. <br/><br/>Thank you, guys! <br/><br/>Yati Doshi

Awesome variety of menu especially for Lebanese food which is not so commonly found in Surat. Everything I ate was upto the mark. Fancy mocktails & good Italian meal. The staff is very courteous. Over all an amazing dining experience. Very good quality standards.

A new concept store on the university road. The food especially falafels are superb in taste. The sides are awesome too. Staff super friendly and the service was very quick.Overall, a very good concept store.

Been here a couple of times now, actually 4-5 times and i am always here for the food thats it. Everyone wont be comfortable with the seating area ,so am i.<br/>Ambiance is above average i must say. Walls are beautifully framed and decorated.<br/>And now the food,yes its yummy. Labenese dish are g8,Do try the labneh platter. Or on the lighter side go for garlic pita hummus. Pink Pasta had a good rich taste. Manakish ,similar to pizza is also a great food choice.<br/>My favourite here is the Hungarian paprika rice.<br/>Obviously prices here are little higher, but at the same time quality of food is a level up.<br/>A big thumps up,cheers .<br/>One suggestion to the lab , remove the toilet paper.

Mouth watering Lebanese food. The hummus was exceptional and so were the platters served. The only issue is that seating isn't very comfortable and the ventilation lacked for some reason.The service was excellent and rates nominal. In conclusion, a good concept café.

Garlic rice and hummus were too good. The ambience was superb and so was the friendliness of the staff along with the service. But the rice seemed to be a bit raw. It may be because of the sunday rush. Overall, a very good café located in vesu.

The child in me loves anything with dry ice. It reminds me of my chemistry classes when I was young. They've tried staying true to that.<br/><br/>However, besides that childish joy, the food isn't all that good. The hummus is unremarkable and isn't exactly hummus either. <br/><br/>I'd go for a drink there, that's it.<br/><br/>All that said, they've really put in the work to make the ambience nice and its extremely cute.

Love love love food lab! The food is GREAT. The only issue with place is seating arrangements. The seats are really uncomfortable. But the food is incomparable. Lovely.

I love the interiors and the high seating they have... but as a designer I know for sure not everyone enjoys it ! But against the FOOD I bet no-one is gonna complain about the seating! Really good Lebanese Food!!<br/><br/>The falafel platter we called for, the hummus is too good!! for anyone who likes a smooth creamy hummus should surely go here. Lovely ambience, great food, such pleasant staff and good location. I guess this is the place i would go to for a casual meet up with good friends or cousins who are picky. From small plates to big they have you covered whatever you feel like eating. I usually go for salads or pita pockets but the pizzas and manakish aren't bad either. A 5 star from me.

We had been there on a hot Sunday afternoon. The exterior was impressive and inviting. The way the name of the restaurant is written would surely want to make you peep and find out what exactly do they serve!<br/>So we started off with a few mocktails which sounded the same (virgin mojito and yushi fizz). So we thought that it would be a fancy glass with some fancy dressing and sure they didn't disappoint us in how it looked ! How it tasted was nothing to write about as it was an average drink with a mixture of syrup and soda and water.<br/>Since it was mentioned Lebanese in the cuisine, we went ahead and ordered caramelized onion hummus and pita bread which did justice to it's name! I am a big fan of leabanese food and I don't mind going there again for the hummus and pita. It was so good we ordered one more and the palte was left sparklingly clean.!! Kudos to that.<br/>Next we moved on to ordering our beloved french fries with garlic sauce. The fries, which were crispy and not re-fried were finished in about 20 seconds and the generous bowl of garlic sauce was virgin!<br/>Nachos were also average, nothing great, infact they were a bit too tangy (the sauce) . Apart from that it was nothing out of the world but it wasn't bad too, so yeah average.<br/>For the main course,<br/>we knew that we would want to order a sizzler...which we did.. although we chose the one with a garlic sauce, but thanks to the honest opinion of the waiter (he saw that we didn't manage to touch the garlic savluce with the fries) he suggested we go for something else as the sizzler would also have the same garlic sauce as the fries.<br/>So we opted for some veg sizzler with noodles and spaghetti in brown gravy...which again was a generous portion, it was quite filling for four and it received an average rating !!<br/>All in all a good place to hangout, eat and chat. Food is nothing to go crazy about.<br/>3 stars are for hygine, presentation, service cleanliness and preparation time and of course the Pita and Hummus

This was my 1st trial for lebanese food. I ordered YushiFuzz for mocktail and lebneh platter for snacks. I loved the presentation of food and mostly the mocktail. They use dried ice for the fog and one of the lab instrument for service. Lebneh platter contain lebneh rolls, dips, salad and garlic pita. The green dip and hummus dip were lovely even the pita. Ambiance was great, the have use the wooden texture and new instruments. One of the I loved was the review wall idea and the staff wearing the lab coat. The seats are quite uncomfortable to sit and little improvement on mocktail taste is required else all is good.<br/>Definitely going again to try new mocktails☺️

This is an excellent place wid a very positive ambience. <br/>Quality of food is perfect along wid its taste. Their taste is a treat to ur taste buds. Their service is also commendable and their polite as well as properly trained staff make you feel superly comfortable. <br/>One should always try their lebanese platter and hungarian rice. Moreover, Paneer shashlik sizzler is also suggestable.

They had a very nice ambience, basically setup on the concept of lab, perfect seating arrangement but, the food was little disappointing though.<br/>The mocktail are a must try here.

This place is quite appealing from outside and also has a great ambience. The food here is also good. In drinks, mojito is really good in taste. For salad, falafel salad is really good and I would recommend if you like Lebanese food. In staters, the classic garlic bread and nachos grand were really good. The margarita pizza and arrabbiata pasta both are delicious. Overall this place is really good.

Been finding a place in the city to get proper Italian style pizza or as they call it manakish. The sizzlers are also worth trying, a good variety of mocktails too.

Best food and staff. Super satisfied! Calm and good ambiance and music. Just perfect as one of the hangout spots. Reasonable rates and lots of varieties to offer.

Falafel quesadilla is a must have. Ambience is a unique experience, service is prompt and courteous. The Music is your regular in the car playlist on shuffle, and that's no bad thing.

Have been here more than a couple of times, and i got to say this is one of my favourite places to have food at. James Bond pizza is delicious. I order it frequently and flavoured test tube shots are good too. Apart of over prices, i’d say this place has its charm.

My cousin from Surat took me to this restaurant.<br/><br/>I tried theirs James Bond pizza and Alfredo pasta .. <br/>pasta was ok ok and pizza was worst .<br/><br/>A/c cooling was also very bad .<br/><br/>My overall experience was great.

I have had a really bad customer experience. I went on a Sunday evening. It took those people 45 mins to serve me 3 dishes. They spilled the sizzler on me. The service was pathetic and the sitting arrangement is even worse. The seats are so uncomfortable, nothing better than a food lorry on road. Though the food tasted good.

Worst beverages served. Nothing much except been served in test tubes and apparatus. We tried pink lady which is served generally with Strawberry juice, lemon n soda. But to disgust what it came was Mapro Strawberry syrup with soda. When we complained they said it comes here like this only. Rather than just serving they should concentrate on making good beverages first.

The drinks are obviously all about the looks.. they taste really ordinary. Didn have any food except french fries which were a lil hard.<br/>Tho my main complain is the extremely slow service. Took em 30 mins to get my French fries!

We enjoyed food at food lab today. Food is tasty but seating arrangement is very inconvenient and design of the restaurant is not at all comfortable. One cannot sit comfortably.very loud music... if you are fond of cleanliness then forget it. In my way only food is good but the design of the restaurant is not user friendly.

On my several visits here, I've not been disappointed by the food. Great hummus and falafel. Also tried : sizzler, pasta, pizza, nachos and bruschetta; all of which are pretty decent. Could give their drinks a miss though. <br/>The ambience is very casual and calm, the servers even calmer, resulting in very slow service. <br/>Also the seating is very uncomfortable.

Introducing a good Lebanese food to Surat... smart quirky ambience but very inconvenient n uncomfortable sitting on high chair and small tables.... service wasn't great..... food over all was good.. rating is given for food only.... can't say sure short if it's a must go restaurant... if they hv good staff u vl hv a good experience but if they r out of staff or over crowded then don't expect any thing other than food to fill ur empty stomach..... pizza is a must try there and the hummus..... not suitable for a dinner date or a corporate dinner meet.....

As I heard so much about it, this is wonderful experience to be here..<br/>Stunning interiors , green wall and sitting arrangement is very nice.. let's talk about food..I ordered saucy fries it was yummy and mix pasta was just awesome. As the name of restaurant food lab feels like we are in chemical laboratory because waiters who work there they wear laboratory white coat. beverages they give in test tube. From chemical reaction I took gypsy mojito (lime and mint combination wins my heart) & it comes in measuring tube..this idea is just fabulous.. food lovers must visit once...

So while we were touring to Surat we were suggested by a friend to visit this joint. <br/>The place is done up with some cute interiors. Also, they have tried to innovate the menu and incorporate some gastro food items. The place pretty much reminds you of a science laboratory. However, one thing to note is that the seating is not very comfortable. <br/>Regarding the food, I ordered the choco shake, sushi Falafel, and siciliano clay oven pizza.<br/>Choco shake in the menu describes it to have chocolate chips on the top, but apparently there weren't any. So I asked them to provide those separately, which they kindly did :p<br/>Sushi Falafel were pretty bland, but I suppose other Falafels are probably good.<br/>Siciliano pizza was pretty flavorful and savory. <br/><br/>

The ambience of the place is lit, for a small space like theirs. The name food lab suggests that the place would have some interesting choices to offer, but it is quite the usual. We were a group of 5 people and the sitting was quite uncomfortable. Apart from that, the food was quite good- we ordered a berry daquiry which was quite interesting, with the fumes coming out like in a sheesha! We ordered the paneer shashlik sizzler which was indeed yummy and some pasta which were alright. <br/>Overall, it is a decent place to be, with decent food!

After reading good rating on Zomato, Went there first time to have maxican food. Place is Crowded and Noisy and simply overrated. Table was worst thing I have ever seen. Tables were so small that you can not place your dish properly and A Toilet paper was hanging on the food!  We ordered Alfredo Pasta, Tacos, Garlic Bread and raspberry drink. After waiting of like an hour, we got pasta first instead of starters, with an excuse that 'its heavy rush today , so please manage it!'.  We ate the pasta as it was a special occasion and I didn't want to create a scene but then we got cold garlic breads and we didn't get the Tacos at all. We got tired and went for the bill. Explained the same to manager, he simply deducts money from the card. Overall :  Ambience : Bad                   Service :  Worse                   Food :   Ok                   Hospitality : Not at all                  Seating arrangement for two : Terriblewill definitely not go there ever again and would recommend the same to friends.

This one turned out to be massively underwhelming. <br/>Decided to go here after reading good reviews on zomato but it's quite overrated.<br/>The ambiance is done up well with some cute decor but the tables are so small that they could not accommodate the dishes.<br/>The place was very crowded and noisy. Be prepared to shout to be heard.<br/>We ordered pink lady test tube shots, mix pasta, original falafel and cheese manakish.<br/>The falafel was disappointing. It was quite dry and lacked taste. <br/>Pasta was average and the proportion of Alfredo sauce was much greater than arrabiata.<br/>The manakish was one good thing. Nice base with the right amount of cheese, it wasn't heavy at all.<br/>They absolutely forgot the test tube shots and brought it at the end. This one was a waste of money and purely for photographic relief.<br/><br/>Service was sloppy and we felt the place to be overtly expensive. Maybe it was a bad day or maybe we ordered the wrong dishes but I for one wouldn't recommend this.<br/><br/>Bon appetit

I Visited the restaurant with my friends . The staff and Surrounding actually let you feel to be in the lab .The innovations in service is impressive. I like the food taste and presentation. The only thing I didn't like was sitting arrangements although quite fancy.. but the comfortless for longer period is still not there . The elders were juggling to get comfortable on high chairs. For new experience and tasty food one can't be wrong with this place.

We had to stand up and go to the counter and ask them for the bill and they were like it's impossible that the noodles are uncooked and they did not bother to check it . Unreasonable staff . <br/>

A big yes for all the falafel lovers and Hummus lovers. The unique theme reminds you of being back to Science Lab. The crockery well awesome. Staff very courteous and take their suggestions will help you soothe your taste buds.

Okay, so this is my first visit to well known restaurant in town because of its uniqueness. My first impression was like yea it's something different. When I entered the restaurant I found it a bit small. Tables were definitely not comfortable for all age groups. I ordered cheese manakish and moroccan falafel. I got my order served a bit late as it was sunday. Food tastes good. Price were little high. Staff were friendly and helpful in choosing best item. Ambience was good. My rating for this restaurant is GOOD.

Nice place to be in the evening.... The decor doesn't light up in the afternoon. The seating is nice gives a look of a pub in the front. The back tables could have been a bit bigger.. Had Manakeesh, a thin base Pizza and Hungarian paprika rice..Purplebread19 , both tasted good and were light on stomach!!.<br/>Enjoyed the different Yushi Fizz!!<br/><br/>Till next time !!!<br/>

Well, it is one of the few places in Surat offering both good delicacies and environment. Ordered panner shashlik<br/> & pink lady test tube shots, both of which were amazing. The manager is gentle enough to respond to any queries and suggestions. Loved the decor as well.<br/><br/>Would visit it again some time soon.

To start with, the ambience is cool but the name Food Lab does not relate to the ambience and food they offer. Cool shelves and wall but really uncomfortable seating. <br/>They offer test tube shots in two flavours, both below the mark. Alfredo pasta tasted good but the quantity was low. We also tried a junior lab combo- it had pita breads, falafel, cold salad, 4 different dips. Pita and dips were just average but falafel had great flavour. The salad could ve been better. <br/>It was not value for money place considering the low quantity portions. I might visit again and try more dishes and update my review.

Coolest place. The sitting for two is so congested and uncomfortable. Food is amazing. The mocktails gives real laboratory feel the way it's served. I loved ceiling mirrors. Good vibes!!

One of the finest places in the city! It is moderately priced for the food it offers. The thin crust pizza, falafel bites, bruschetta and a test tube shot! Everything was so good that you end up eating more than your hunger. What I like the most about such places are their interiors and the way of their presentation. It is worth your money for sure!

Surat city is populating a lot of fancy restaurants and cafés this year and The Food Lab has been one of the popular ones<br/>he Wooden Industrial Interior spaciously occupying the areas was a heart winning sign.<br/><br/>The corner walls fill in shelves with slates, journals, frames and a lot more things that certainly give you a laboratory feel.<br/>Keeping the ambiance and the staff behavior in mind, this place manages to cover the negative marking. 4/5

Nice place with good interiors. Tried pasta and falafel platter. Both the items were good. Did not try much as we were short of time but planning to visit soon as have heard the sizzler is quite interesting here.

The worst nightmare...!!! They have only 1-2 waiters...n the service is tooooooooooooooooo slow....it takes them 1/2hr to serve any dish...the food was tasty though but the service was even slow then a tortoise....n yes it is reasonable in price but time is money ..!!! Go only you have patience to wait for your hunger.

Price is on the high range and lacks some basic Italian dishes like Risotto. Ambience is good for a small place. The staff were also nice. Definitely worth trying.<br/>

Well the name The Food Lab doesn't matches with anything they are doing. When I heard about the restaurant I thought their most of the dishes will be gastronomy based! But their are only selected dishes and mostly some mocktails in which they have adopted gastronomy! We ordered few things which didn't match my expectations! I will choose some other restaurant if i want to eat all these food in future! Ambience again doesn't matches again with the name! They even charged one item twice which we didn't order! Although they corrected it when asked but their is no service recovery they do! All I can say in one word is the place is "hyped".

Well, it's one of the best restaurants I've been to in Surat ( TGB and Taj not included ). Garlic peta bread and hummus is the best of the lot. We tried something like a pizza on a peta bread. It was decent enough. We tried garlic bread as well. It wasn't that great and you can give it a miss. We tried sizzler as well, and I didn't eat sizzler so don't know how it turned up. But yeah, from the presentation it was looking delicious. <br/><br/>The only problem I faced there was the seating. The seats weren't comfortable and the place is too cozy. It seems as if they've tried to adjust more than the place can hold. <br/><br/>Staff was pretty good, well mannered and knowledgeable. <br/><br/>P.S. I am not being from surat liked the place ! One of the coolest places in Surat ! Ambience is great with a unique concept ! They serve mocktails in different ways ! I loved guava smoothie and pink sauce pastas were fabulous ! Service is good too ! I would love to visit again !

Today I visited this place.concept is very interesting.I was acually feeling that i am sitting in the lab. but sitting was not comfortable.music was very loud.but food was good.we odered pink lady n tornado twist in drinks.garlic veg sizzler which was yumm.

I am really happy that finally surat is coming up with some really fancy restaurants and since a long time I have seen people giving reviews about food lab. So I visited this place yesterday night. <br/>The food lab is a Mexican, Italian and Lebanese restaurant. <br/>I personally enjoyed the place. <br/>The restaurant is rather trendy and it has wonderful interiors. It has a low lit and wonderful playlist. It is bit small And packed. Sitting is little un comfortable. <br/><br/>Staff/ service- they are very slow even for taking orders. We had to ask them thrice for taking the order. Waiting is 20 - 25 mins. <br/><br/>Food- we ordered alfredo, food fab special, moonlight and choco shake. <br/>Overall the quality was just average. I didn't like food lab special. Quantity and quality is not appropriate for the price they ask for. <br/><br/>

The food lab. <br/>We went here for lunch and were surprised to see it was fully packed on a Tuesday afternoon. <br/>The place has a nice feel to it. <br/>We ordered a mix pasta, a regular Falafel and the barbecue sizzler. <br/>The mix pasta was very good with an almost perfect consistency of the sauce. <br/>Then came the sizzler. I was slightly disappointed with it because the sauce on top was really sour. The rice also had kaaju which would have blended better with a more asian dish probably and the paneer was not very soft. <br/>Although I would like to add that it still didn't really taste bad, it probably wasn't meant for my tastebuds. <br/><br/>The falafel was really good. It was very fresh and the hummus was perfect. The pita was soft and the vegetables crunchy. <br/>The food was delivered in time and the prices were also fair. <br/>Would love it if the waiters and the manager learned to smile that's all. <br/>Would visit again to try the pizza (looked tempting on the next table) and more falafel. <br/>

Liked the place. The food is good. Ambience nice. Service pretty warm and friendly. Cleanliness needs to do a lot of dusting here which is important part of maintenance. Worst part ...washroom is not available. Food and service will cover your points though... we suggest to improve on hygiene factor.
