Review Blue Basil - Surat

This place is highly recommended for spending quality time with family, thanks to its fantastic food, pleasant ambiance, and exceptionally well-trained staff. However, the major downside is the limited network availability, which can hinder the dining experience. Instead of a physical menu, guests are required to access the menu online using their own internet connection. Despite this inconvenience, the overall experience at this establishment, with its delightful atmosphere and attentive staff, is truly worth it for enjoying precious moments with your loved ones.

The food was delicious and their service and atmosphere was pretty good as well. But they didn't have any mocktails or coffee available at the time we went for dinner.

Hello so it was the Dhanteras celebration in family. And as like every year I treat ladies members of my family to a Resturant. So today we went to blue basil. Good parking place available Washrooms are neat and fine. Staff is superbly well Trained as well Mannered and very very cooperative. So today we ordered Tortilla bean soup Man-chow soup Tomato soup Masala papad French fries Spicy mushroom coriander Paneer Bhuna tikka Angaara chap Jeera rice Dal masala Tadaka Garlic, Naan Masala chaas Plani chance Sweet Lassi

Good Experience, place was good but since we are in a Post covid times, the experience was limited to food, time of preparation and the staff behaviour. For Me all 3 of those were pretty smooth and good. We went there specially for the Sizzlers as the OG Bombay Blue, City Plus is closed permanently! Had other options but somehow choose this one. Had good ambience but the crowd was unmanaged, Food was good we ordered Soup, Side starters, Sizzlers and Macaroni. The odd part was Macaroni as it wasnt mentioned in the menu yet I asked if they have a sweet one with they saod yes and I ordered but instead we got a Macaroni which is Savory, which is not bad but not what asked/expected. Sizzlers had good Quantity enough for 2 per Sizzlers but the variations were still the similar, there were varieties but they get you the same taste mostly with different toppings Mostly Paneer. Overall We had fun as the food was prepared quickly yet was self serve due to Covid and it gets tough to serve sizzler among 6 people! Thank you for reading. Hope this helps!

Nice Ambience, Excellent Service, food is not so tasty.

This restaurant has bright ambiance with blue theme. Service is fast. Various north indian and Chinese food options available in menu.

Such a good place to have food. Services is not that bad but i can say it's just okay they can be much better. Ambiance is good it's like blue blue everywhere just like it's name. I ordered khima masala subji & paneer Maharaja from indian main course. Also paneer tikka. I liked the most is khima masala.

Since a long pending visit.... And was happy to be here .. Let me speak about the food... 1. Starters... Canadian Cheese Soup was a treat .. especially for those with a penchant for cheese shall love it... Afghani Chaps were too good ... And equally were the patato cheese fingers ... 2. Main course is also worth mentioning. Paneer was soft and well made and rotis were wheat based so added to the overall experience. Hot chocolate with brownie was just as good as it should be.... Good ambience and not to forget to mention... Service was too goo and QUICK...

Nice restaurant for evening dinners. Luxurious and peaceful ambience. Classy restaurant interior colors are very delightful. Pricing is well balanced as well as quantity of the food. Food is delicious & service is very satisfying.

Food is superb..service is great..the only negative was no physical menu..u have to scan for menu & there's hardly any network inside the restaurant..the management should look into that.

Chinese nd punjabi was too gud

I keep ordering from this place again and again because of how delicious their food is! I've tried most of the items on their menu - Chinese, North Indian, soups - and each preparation has been very well made every single time. The packaging is great, there has never been any spilt food. Quantity is good too. I have a preference for less spicy food and this place makes sure they prepare it the way I want. I highly recommend this place and I cannot wait for the situation to improve so I can experience their in house dining.<br/>I would like to make a special mention to Mr.Rishar. He is the one who ensures our food is prepared to our requirement. I appreciate his effort! I would also like to mention to the management that it's because of people like him that they have a loyal customer today who will further recommend this place to everyone they can.

When we enter the restaurant it gave a very nice feeing of fine dine restaurant with staff trained properly according to the service standards. <br/>So if we talk about ambience and service it was to the point . But the main thing of restaurant experience: Food. It was not that good . The taste of dal tadka lacked few spices and the paneer gravy had real tangy taste . So the food didn’t satisfy me there. <br/>

There are myriad choices to have good food across Surat. Went to go to this place with family. Very very pleasant experience. The staff was courteous, ambience was contemporary and the services were prompt. <br/>The food was excellent. The owner came a couple of times to check if things were in place and if the food was satisfactory. Overall great place to be. I highly recommend this place. Burrito supremo - was excellent.<br/><br/>Veg Au gratin - was also good but they use normal vegetables rather than using broccoli, asperges, zucchini. Only 2 piece of olive was there. This is one of the finest vegetarian outlets I've been to in a very long time.<br/><br/>Hidden in one of the cornered gem areas, this place has the warmest staff serving the best dishes across the city.<br/><br/>On my menu, I had:<br/><br/>Sizzlers, continental starters, Indian Main Course and soup too out of which: Canadian Cheese Soup was my personal favourite.<br/><br/>Also, they have the best sizzlers which is a very rare thing in this city. The Indian Cuisine sizzlers are very, very quantitative when it comes to portion size which is why, paying a high price for it doesn't seem to be guilty.<br/><br/>I personally did not enjoy the beverages here. But, they won my extra star with their Nutella Dessert that was served by the end of the course.

The food is here is nice and tasty. The staff is really polite and friendly. The decor is nice. I tried tacos which were good, angara chaap which was kinda okayish... Malai kofte which was really on point. Also ordered dal tadka which had less salt, but that's okay, but even though the name being dal masala tadka, I found the masala to be very less. Overall good food.

Visited with friend on a Friday night and were surprised to see that the place was almost full. The decor is good but still needs to be more bright. The place we were seated was right in the corner at the back and was very dull. The service though was impeccable. They were prompt and very attentive. The menu is huge and covers everything from punjabi, Italian, Mexican, sizzlers and good variety in mocktails and desserts as well.<br/>We ordered the lasagne which was really delicious. Cheesy with lots of veggies and tasted perfectly good. Good quality and quantity.<br/>We also got the Vegetable garlic balls sizzler which was average. The noodles were over cooked and tasted watery. There wasn't enough sauce so everything tasted very bland. The Garlic balls (manchurian) 🙄on the other hand tasted amazing but weren't even warm. It was literally room temperature and just kept on the top of the noodles. So was disappointed with it.<br/>The Nutella chocolate foam dessert is definitely a must try. Totally loved it. All in all you can give this place a try.

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the special Canadian cheese soup and oriental skewers.

A very good fine dine restaurant with a decent ambience. The staff is friendly and responsive. And the food they serve is very much soothing. I have been here quite a times with friends and family and all the cuisines are well served with a delicious taste

It was our first visit to Blue Basil. We all experienced a spacious and a lovable ambience for dine out. The cuisines were exuberantly delicious for tasty food lovers like us. Ah ! The staff attended  all of us with personal care. Overall ,the visit engraved an imprint, with the nostalgic  memory in our taste bud . Soon, the name Blue Basil will be the hot name in town. Very poor service food is good still service is very bad no manners no courtesy they serve you without asking, they will take away your plate without asking so beware...

Food is good. Staff behaved well. Service is good didn’t have to wait for waiter and after ordering didn’t had to wait much for food(went on Saturday night).

Good ambience and interior. Rare restaurant with lots of sunshine. North Indian dishes were very good. (Tomato soup was a little too sweet). Staff was very proactive and courteous. Sometimes a little too eager to help :)

We wanted to have sizzler for dinner and this name popped up on Zomato,so decided to give it a try. We order Veg Satellite Sizzler and Masala Papad. The service was quite fast and smooth. The sizzler was good with generous amount of rice in it. The quantity was sufficient for two people. It was bit dry though. The amount of sauce should have been bit more. The north Indian food menu looked interesting and I would probably visit this place again for some north Indian food. Overall a good experience.

I have been to Blue Basil many times...because it's my favorite place....I love the food...the ambience...the service.....the best is Sizzler..my personal favorite...I tell u everything is tasty....but my favorite is sizzler nd Manchurian wow...it's so tasty....delicious...the food here is very rich nd authentic in taste....I would recommend everybody to go to Blue Basil at least once for Sizzler.....

Blue Basil is a great place to hang out. We have order a couple of food dishes and it was very delicious, best that we enjoyed the dish was paneer peri peri tikka. One must try. Keep it up.

The food is amazing. The lazagna and paneer chilli are a must try!!!! The ambience isn’t great but it’s a lovely place for a fine dine. The staff is very cordial.

we had a great experience having our dinner at blue basil.all the items which we had ordered was awesome in taste which rarely happens in majority of the restaurant .we started with Brocolli almond soup  if you look for a soup with cream base  this will the best ,we had peri peri paneer and tirangi tikki both the starters tasted good .in mocktails i would recommend "Mad about town " which really tingles your taste bud with the lime and lemony taste. if you love having sizzler do not miss having sizzler hear the best among in the town.i would love to revisit this restaurant  nice cosy place, caring staff ,ambience is pretty good since they are having more sitting capacity no waiting .value for money.  Three cheers

Ambience is good , food is tasty and services are fast .<br/>We ordered tangy tomato soup , good in taste after that we ordered starter ‘ masalewale aalu , its average in taste ,<br/>In main course we ordered paneer desi handi with garlic naan and missy roti , garlic naan is superb , curry is also good in taste ,<br/>At last we enjoyed sizzling brownie with ice cream, it is awesome.<br/>Prices are moderate.<br/>But on weekends it’s very crowded, better to reserve a seat .

For me, menu lasts it’s impression on customers. <br/><br/>We ordered as under :- <br/>Canadian Cheese Soup 🍜 - It was highly recommended by fellow visitors and I ordered the same on the basis of their recommendation. A multi cuisine restaurant located between VIP Rd and University road.<br/>Well , it looks like a premium fine dine at the first glance. A neat and clean entrance with high ceiling inside with blue and wooden interior.<br/>Blue color is everywhere and it justifies the name Blue basil.<br/>Staff is friendly and they have good knowledge of their large menu. They have many new and unique dishes added in the menu.<br/>Soups are good. For starter they have different varieties but some of them are on second page of menu and others are on second last page. So in this case menu is a bit confusing. But yes, their starters are delicious if you can find them in menu 😏. Quality of good is up to the mark. The food is good at a reasonable price. Service is quick and the staff is polite as well. The only thing I didn't like is the veg fried rice- the taste was bland😶 Else all was good.

After so long a place where I had the best experience overall....first thing you will notice is the space....very big....best place if you wanna have a party....food is also good....had Punjabi so adequate quantity....thai coriander, paneer kurkure, paneer pahadganj, garlic kulcha is a must have....service is a bit fast....yes you heard it right....I mean you should ask first....but overall really loved the ambience and food.....will surely come again for more

Not par with expectation!<br/>North Indian food is good but Chinese sizzler was lacking in taste and same goes for indian starter. Plus service is ok but they are charging more than twice for water bottle than its m.r.p. Quite Overrated!!

So now i went for my parents anniversary here at blue basil..<br/>Ambience: 5/5<br/>You dont get white lights in restaurants these days along with the soothing blue colour.. and the seating is also very comfortable..<br/>P.S. they also have a small conference room. Which is again good for small gatherings.<br/>Food: 4.5/5<br/>So we ordered canadian cheese soup, firstly, as suggested by the manager.. it was finger licking good.. must try If you want to try something new..<br/>Then we ordered a 50-50, paneer kurkure and a soya chaap.. i liked the concept of 50-50, goes well if you dont want to have manchurian, you can have potatoes.. paneer kurkure needed a lil spice as it felt dry.. and soya chaap could be a lil luscious and not too dry.. overall starters were good..<br/>I ordered 3 mocktails as well which were too upto the mark<br/>Then we ordered a paneer sabjee and a veg sabjee.. both in different gravies.. both were yummy.. the basket of rotis was also a good option but the rotis were a lil overcooked.. or maybe i like light cooked rotis..<br/>We even ordered 2 portions of fried rice in the end and the rice was extravagant.. upto the mark i would say..<br/>Staff: 5/5<br/>Very co-operative staff! The place is BLUE as the name suggests and has beautiful decor and interiors. Being a multi cuisine space the variety of food offered is phenomenal also the taste is mind boggling at the cheaper rates !!!! I guess this might be one of those spaces where you can go for fine dine without pulling a hole in ur pocket! <br/><br/>They have a BAR! but since we live in a dry state, it’s a mock-tail bar! Ambience was good and was the interior and exterior of the hotel, but the main factor they lacked is the taste of food, tried sizzler, vegetable hakka noodles, the mud house and panner kali mirch. All of it had some what average taste but the worst was panner kaali mirch. Rated 3 because of ambience,staff and food presentation.<br/>

Well there’s a saying in Hindi. Unchi dukaan feeka pakwan. Well this place is synonymous to the above saying. It has a good exterior but interiors and food is not the great. Service is okayish and staff had been polite but overall experience with the place was bad. Really bad <br/>I wouldn’t go to this restaurant again.

One of the finest restaurant in all aspect of recent time. Visited friday night for dinner, and find it amazing. It's very appealing from outside and excellent from inside. Different interiors with selfie zone, Large place with many partitions, a party hall, live juice bar, overall a live place for family get together and off course we seen large families here comes to enjoy.  Happy to see restaurant with full of peoples as visited almost all restaurants but few having rush otherwise seen only 4-5 tables occupied. Coming to food, ordered Burnt garlic soup - one of the finest soup tasted till date, Paneer lucknowi tawa in main course - tastes very good with authentic flavors, Dal masala tadka, jeera rice and rotis. The quality of food was excellent. The service was quick and very good. Well trained staff. Reasonably priced menu will not heavy on pocket. Just one point to note about this restaurant which cut one point in review is quantity.  Overall great experience, I will be the permanent customer of this place. Thumbs up for this restaurant.  In my personal opinion area of improvement will be the quantity they served, was less by 20-30% comparing other nearby restaurant, opinions may differ.

1 star itself suggests my review. Very average menu with average food. If u ask their waiter about their signature dishes he would have no idea. One would ask the question is he the waiter? Ordered soup n starter which was ok. Shifted to main course which was also ok. I was disappointed with khasta roti which was another version of papad. And continental main course chilli pepper veg satellite was a disaster. There was too much pepper with no other flavour. Told the manager(or so I assume) about the dish and his counter argument was that his chef has made the perfect dish and we don’t have the taste buds to appreciate his food. Besides ambiance there is nothing good I can speak of.

Good food. Best in price. Ambience is also very good. Party/conference hall is vey nice. All amenities in one place. I wish owners all the very best.

Canadian Cheese soup was nice. <br/>Paneer Tikka was good and so was Fussili Bianca Paprika pasta. Did not like 50-50 as it was a confusing taste as i am a good lover of manchurian and it was not justice to it. Paneer Maharaja was good and Matka Biryani was nice. Alu Anar raita was nice. Nutella chocolate foam is best, you should surely order it as its a thing which you should not miss.

Its been months, i visited a fine dine restaurant, as recently there has been many QSR, casual dine outlets opening in the city. And Vesu is one of the best place to host as a venue for it.<br/><br/>Went to this ubercool - Classy restaurant called BLUE BASIL. It has got the fusion modern-contemporary ambiance with comfort seating and Well crafted illumination. <br/><br/>Menu is well designed and well curated with the best sellers in each segment. The products are well made and well presented. Beverages are also given a well garnished twist. <br/><br/>We ordered a few mocktails followed with some soup options. "Canadian cheese soup" was the most amazing soup i have ever tried. Also the Starters were superb in taste and presentation. different cuisines and all were very tasty. We ordered Indian- italian main course. "Fussili paprika Pasta" and "Paneer maharaja - Subzi Nawabi" accompanied with Garlic Naan. All was served hot in time. also the quantity was good. Biryani was the show stealer with pomegranate Rayta. The restaurant has a very good ambience and amazing food. All the food ordered was of very good taste with no complains. Also the service was immaculate. It is near to VIP road, but has no waiting time so did not have to wait for the food to be served

This place is a gem waiting to be explored at Vesu.<br/>I was really impressed with the level of homework done by the team of Blue Basil. Each aspect was given a good thought from deciding the colour scheme of the restaurant to deciding the tagline.<br/>The team is well informed about the menu and each person greeted us pleasantly.<br/>We were welcomed with a refreshing Kiwi Lemonade to beat the heat. It was fizzy and tasty.<br/>I tried the Canadian Cheese soup which was a little sweet but I was quite expecting it to be so.<br/>Next we tried the Cheesy paprika poppers. I wish these were more cheesy because I love my poppers to ooze some mozzarella when bitten into.<br/>The Paneer Tikka was delicious and so was the Fussili Bianca Paprika pasta, especially the bread served with it.<br/>We also tried the 50-50 which is a Manchurian cum Potato dish. Innovative but not out of the box outstanding.<br/>I did not like the Guava mocktail as it was a little too syrupy.<br/>Here comes the best part : Their Indian main course dishes are outstanding. The Paneer Maharaja was good but what I loved was their Matka Biryani. Finger licking good.<br/>We tried the Alu Anar raita but I would order a different one next time since its a little sweet for me.<br/>The dessert is a wonder. We tried the Nutella chocolate foam and the texture is just mmm...<br/>Good hygienic place and definitely worth repeated visits.<br/>Pricing average.<br/><br/>
