Review Hotel Aatithya - Surat

Hotel Aatithya is one of the best places to enjoy authentic South Indian food here in Surat. I ordered the Rava Onion Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Idli-Sambhar, Plain Dosa, Masala Dosa and Samosa. With every dish having their own unique flavour. I highly recommend anyone to visit this place, even if you are not a fan of South Indian food. The Sambhar is one of the best Sambhar I have ever tried and they give free-flowing Sambhar. They also give free-flowing coconut chutneys. The staff was even kind enough to finish our meal with free mouth fresheners. Best South Indian restaurant in Surat!!!

Food is ok but it's too expensive as I had visited so many restaurants but it is expensive as per money food is not up to the mark or not even they have good space too.

Resturant is one of the oldest in surat. The taste of south indian very delicious and decent. Size of evey dhosa bigger compare to other resturant. Price was reasonable. Perfect restaurant for solo dinner or lunch.

Food is good. Atmosphere can be better. Service is tad slow. Shocked to learn about lack of restroom facilities.

One of the Old, popular and famous South Indian restaurant in Surat

I have been visiting this restaurant since last 2 years . The restaurant is a pocket friendly restaurant, dining here will cost you around INR 500 for two. And trust me you will be satisfied to the core. The breads are a bit expensive, but that is not something to worry about. Its a delight for all South Indian food lovers but let me tell you they r no less to satisfy ur taste buds in punjabi food as well. They are the best in town as far as service is concerned. They will never let you down in taste and service.

Such a great food and ambience family place specially north Indian and south Indian we most like rava dose which is my mother's favourite and veg. Tufani with butter roti. It's a pure veg restaurant.

I am a pizza lover and i like to try pizza everywhere i go. Flames pizzeria makes awesome pizza with good toppings and pizza sauce and lots of cheese making it so tasty. The price is also not too high which is good for people like us so you can save more and try more pizza. Service is fast which is also good.

Have been going to this place for over a decade now. It's a small restaurant which is famous for serving good South Indian food and decent punjabi food. There's nothing grand about this place but I go there mostly with family cause we love their south indian dishes. The idli, mendu vada, samosas are huge in size.. The quality of the sambhar and chutney is also really good. I don't really like dhosas personally but the tomato mysore masala is the best. Punjabi food is also decent.. Nothing very admirable though. The prices are also not that exorbitant and the service is prompt. They have both AC and non AC sitting areas. It's a very old restaurant so no comments on the interiors.. Very basic though they could do with a make over for sure. Over all a decent place to visit specially for the south indian cuisine.

Whether it be South Indian dishes or Punjabi dishes- they deserve a pat ! The only setback is the ambience - I'd rate it 3/5 ! But if you're only concerned with the taste of the food- you'll never be disappointed.

Extremely busy and famous, this restaurant has been in Surat for quite some time now. The Paneer Tikka Masala here is still the best in Surat by all means. They should focus on the service though.

One of the best south Indian places in town. The coconut chutney is so amazing, you could just eat it all without anything else. I've barely tried anything else at this place because the south Indian food is such a delight over here

Now we cant say that this is the best,as it is losing its image . The old aatithya was way better and food was outstanding. But the new is not so impressive. Still you can trust on its signature items of south indian.

One place which comes closest to Sainath is Aatithya. There are numbers of similarities between these two joint i.e both of them are very old n carry good reputation for serving south Indian cuisine, in terms of quick service, taste, popularity within locals.<br/><br/>There was no waiting by the time we entered but the place was packed n all the tables were occupied except one which was allotted to us. Aroma of dosas was all over the room, literally mouthwatering. <br/><br/>We ordered Masala Dosa, Rava Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala and Manchow soup for my kid. All the dosas were well prepared. Perfect combination of masala. Sambhar was piping hot and cocunut chutney was to die for.<br/><br/>Rava Masala Dosa was the best of all. After a very long time got chance to eat Rava masala and I was totally satisfied. Ordered lemon juice and it was yummy to have with Dosas.<br/><br/>What I love about South Indian restaurants is their quick service. You order and bang it comes on your table. You won't get this kind of experience at luxury dinning places. Places like Aatithya should be visited for whole different experience and taste.

I have got childhood memories attached with Aaithya. Since the opening of this outlet its has been always on top of our list of probable family dinner venues. Quite Nostalgic. <br/><br/>Food is good, I loved the south Indian. Dosa was crisp and Punjabi is also good. Samosa is the best starter to start the meal. We then ordered my dad's favorite Malai Kofta and Naan. great as usual. Not much options in Beverages apart from colddrink and juices. <br/><br/>Service is good on weekdays. but on weekends its quite annoying. takes more than half an hour. <br/><br/>Compare. To my last visit the place seems to be clean.<br/><br/>Still I would suggest it to families and gangs to enjoy an evening.

Been here for th first tym though its a heritage restaurant since ages! Its difficult to define th experience.. Lip smackin no doubt. Th cuisines thy offer you are varied nd all taste to perfection. Had th rava dosa nd their trademark samosas. Cheers to th pllc.

One of the oldest places that I used to visit. It has been pretty long since I have been there in recent past. I have tried north indian food over here which is quite okay and enjoy-worthy. Not bad option if you can not think of anything else.

The only authentic South Indian Restaurant in town. Have been eating at this place for last 32 years. The taste hasn't changed over the years. Though it serves the entire Indian Menu but for me its only and only South Indian that pulls me to it , at least once every week. On a scale of 1 to 5, I will give it a perfect 10.

Annoying, especially during lunch hours. The menu is unnecessarily long, they should rather keep it short. They would have figured out by now what works best for the restaurant. <br/>The overall taste is good, nothing too great though. My quick fix for this place would be a masala dosa or idli vada.

One of the oldest restaurant I am visiting from my childhood. This place is still the same as it was before. Interior and ambience is below average. Food is above average. But not so good. Reasonable price but the place is very congested and in pick hour it is found always full. U have to seat in waiting for a long time. Because of it's lace sitting area this thing is happening. You r loosing nothing if u r skipping this.

It's an age old restaurant of surat now that has gone bit down in terms of food quality and taste. Ambience and decor is not so well. It's noisy in and out location sucks as lots of vehicles and blowing horns around. Unclean but people who still eat there are its fans from years.

Aatithya restaurant is one of the oldest one in Surat. Earlier the food was quite good. Chana masala was their usp. but after the renovation of the restaurant, the ambience is too good but the food quality detoriates. The original taste has lost some what to match up with other modern restaurant. I hav tried both North Indian and South Indian food but it was of okay types. There are quite number of good hotels for these cuisines. Perfect example from good to worst. Service was also not upto the mark. They should have stick to their origin taste and then things would have been different. A truly great place if you want to have lunch or dinner, great food and quick service at reasonable prices. Would had rated 5 but -1 for the high waiting line and the over crowding in the restaurant which generates v much noise.
