Review Hotel Aatithya - Surat

Daksh Anajwala
Hotel Aatithya is one of the best places to enjoy authentic South Indian food here in Surat. I ordered the Rava Onion Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Idli-Sambhar, Plain Dosa, Masala Dosa and Samosa. With every dish having their own unique flavour. I highly recommend anyone to visit this place, even if you are not a fan of South Indian food. The Sambhar is one of the best Sambhar I have ever tried and they give free-flowing Sambhar. They also give free-flowing coconut chutneys. The staff was even kind enough to finish our meal with free mouth fresheners. Best South Indian restaurant in Surat!!!

Food is ok but it's too expensive as I had visited so many restaurants but it is expensive as per money food is not up to the mark or not even they have good space too.
Dipa Vaghasiya
Resturant is one of the oldest in surat. The taste of south indian very delicious and decent. Size of evey dhosa bigger compare to other resturant. Price was reasonable. Perfect restaurant for solo dinner or lunch.

Food is good. Atmosphere can be better. Service is tad slow. Shocked to learn about lack of restroom facilities.

I recently dined at "Hotel Atithya" in Athwlines and I had a great experience overall. The restaurant is located in a convenient location and the decor is tastefully done. However, the place was a bit crowded which made it feel a little cramped. The menu features a variety of dishes, with a focus on Indian cuisine. The food was well-prepared and flavorful, with generous portion sizes. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. One standout dish that I particularly enjoyed was the Paneer Angara. The paneer was tender and had a nice smoky flavor from the Spices. Overall, I would recommend "Hotel Atithya" for its delicious Indian cuisine and attentive staff. Just be prepared for a potentially crowded atmosphere.

I have been visiting this restaurant since last 2 years . The restaurant is a pocket friendly restaurant, dining here will cost you around INR 500 for two. And trust me you will be satisfied to the core. The breads are a bit expensive, but that is not something to worry about. Its a delight for all South Indian food lovers but let me tell you they r no less to satisfy ur taste buds in punjabi food as well. They are the best in town as far as service is concerned. They will never let you down in taste and service.

I am a pizza lover and i like to try pizza everywhere i go. Flames pizzeria makes awesome pizza with good toppings and pizza sauce and lots of cheese making it so tasty. The price is also not too high which is good for people like us so you can save more and try more pizza. Service is fast which is also good.

Recently moved to Surat for a few months.<br/>It was my third night here, when I decided to go here for my dinner.<br/><br/>The foremost thing is that the staff here is very courteous. They are updated about what is in the kitchen and what is not available. The restaurant is a pocket friendly restaurant, dining here will cost you around INR 500 for two. And trust me you will be satisfied to the core. The breads are a bit expensive, but that is not something to worry about. The taste is good.<br/><br/>Please do visit. :)

Food:- 4/5<br/>Have been to this place 2-3 times and it serves to be a decent family restaurant with reasonable prices. South Indian food is really good 😍. Indian cuisine is also very nice. Overall paisa vasool place.<br/><br/>Service:- 3.5/5<br/>Quick service. Staff is well mannered and polite to customers. The only complaint I have is they don't have any washrooms. The one beside the hotel is really small and not even clean.<br/><br/>Ambience: 3/5<br/>Not a fancy place. No fancy interiors. Don't visit to soothe your eyes but to soothe your Taste buds πŸ’•πŸ˜‹<br/>
Pragnesh Patel
Best restaurant for daily visitors. I will definitely give location g service award as I am regular visitor since 1993. Same taste and quality. Must visit place for lunch.

Have been going to this place for over a decade now. It's a small restaurant which is famous for serving good South Indian food and decent punjabi food. There's nothing grand about this place but I go there mostly with family cause we love their south indian dishes. The idli, mendu vada, samosas are huge in size.. The quality of the sambhar and chutney is also really good. I don't really like dhosas personally but the tomato mysore masala is the best. Punjabi food is also decent.. Nothing very admirable though. The prices are also not that exorbitant and the service is prompt. They have both AC and non AC sitting areas. It's a very old restaurant so no comments on the interiors.. Very basic though they could do with a make over for sure. Over all a decent place to visit specially for the south indian cuisine.
Shaily Naik
Whether it be South Indian dishes or Punjabi dishes- they deserve a pat ! The only setback is the ambience - I'd rate it 3/5 ! But if you're only concerned with the taste of the food- you'll never be disappointed.
Kshanil Shah
One of the surat's well known restaurants.<br/>South Indian Food was average. Punjabi is better.<br/>The waiting list or rather 'queue' is regularly very long but quick to serve once seated in a over packed setting that will surely give cramps. Poor ambience and worse service.
Jay Patel
Good spot to start a healthy day by healthy breakfast. If you like south Indian dishes this place is definitely for you. You can relish on varieties to start a fresh morning.<br/><br/>P.S: Even if you are not a great fan of south Indian dishes still try these you may like these as they are prepared fresh and keeping hygiene in mind Thats what I love it..
Africawala Vivek D.
Most overpriced and overrated restaurant ...<br/>The only thing that is not ordinary of this hotel is the price of menu.<br/>Definitely not worth it.<br/>Quick service, quick food and then they come and ask you "Hogaya ?" Even before food is finished <br/>As if they are doing favour by serving us.<br/>And no parking space come on.<br/>Ghaadi ko bi upar leke aaye ?<br/>The worst food on the menu is Chinese and "backed dish"<br/>As they mentioned
Rajan Kothari
Nice place, here only south Indian food i prefer, Punjabi is average and Chinese is below the average..<br/>overall average average restaurant..
Akshay Kharbanda
Extremely busy and famous, this restaurant has been in Surat for quite some time now. The Paneer Tikka Masala here is still the best in Surat by all means. They should focus on the service though.
Herin Modi
One of the worst restaurants in Surat. The service is terrible and the waiters have an "attitude" problem. Don't go if you have any self worth.
Gaurav Zaveri
Go For South Indian food <br/>each and every thing of south indian dishes is up to the mark..especially i like the Sambhar Chutney Most<br/>I hate the quality of Manchurian they served and punjabi food taste is also decent ...<br/>.
Ks6274_TechnicalFoodie
Went there with family for having south Indian food, after seeing long queue at mysore cafe.<br/>Thankfully, we didnt have to wait.<br/>We ordered lots of regular south indian varieties.. Idli, fried idli, rava masala dosa, masala dosa, mysore masala dosa.<br/>Everything was good, enjoyable.<br/><br/>The service was quick, but the space was too crampy, it felt uncomfortable to sit in. <br/><br/>The overall experience was OK.<br/>
Ankur Desai
One of the busiest restaurants in the locality.. though they have maintained the graciousness they have from always. Very good South Indian, and nice Punjabi food. I have always loved baked dishes here.
Vishwanil
Highly recommended for South Indian Food only.<br/>South Indian Food :: 5 Star<br/>Other foods :: Try other places<br/><br/>Location :: Best...right next to Old RTO building.<br/><br/>Ambience :: Good.<br/><br/>Service :: Nice.<br/>
Vibhu Joshi
One of the best south Indian places in town. The coconut chutney is so amazing, you could just eat it all without anything else. I've barely tried anything else at this place because the south Indian food is such a delight over here
Hetang Prajapati
Now we cant say that this is the best,as it is losing its image . The old aatithya was way better and food was outstanding. But the new is not so impressive. Still you can trust on its signature items of south indian.
Monik Madhwani
Economic and Testy Food. <br/>Long way to go Aatithay <br/>First name on the board of city food lover For its economy and Testy Food.<br/>Try it once if you are leaving in Surat
Khushbu Daga
Decent place <br/>Reasonably priced <br/>If you want to have South Indian thn this is the placeπŸ‘ŒπŸ»<br/>But For Chinese a big NO <br/>One of the oldest restaurants in town <br/>Clean and hygienic <br/>If they can re do the interiors it would b great
Harsh Shah
One of oldest Restaurant of Surat changed but definitely not in better way. Service & Ambience is average. Taste is worst. <br/><br/>Prices are so premium compared to Package they are offering. At same price you can have meal at some premium restaurant.<br/><br/>Definitely not recommended..!
Vinit Bhatt
One more landmark of surat.<br/>Almost everyone has visited this place, i guess as this is also a good old place for good south indian food.
Bela Patel
I used to go here so many times.. Reasonable and taste is delicious! I like panner tikka masala the best of all the items..!<br/>Worth a visit..

Date of Visit - 11th March 2016, Friday<br/>Timings - 8:30 p.m onwards.<br/><br/>We were craving for South Indian food. Also, we had had enough of Sainath south Indian food. One place which comes closest to Sainath is Aatithya. There are numbers of similarities between these two joint i.e both of them are very old n carry good reputation for serving south Indian cuisine, in terms of quick service, taste, popularity within locals.<br/><br/>There was no waiting by the time we entered but the place was packed n all the tables were occupied except one which was allotted to us. Aroma of dosas was all over the room, literally mouthwatering. <br/><br/>We ordered Masala Dosa, Rava Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala and Manchow soup for my kid. All the dosas were well prepared. Perfect combination of masala. Sambhar was piping hot and cocunut chutney was to die for.<br/><br/>Rava Masala Dosa was the best of all. After a very long time got chance to eat Rava masala and I was totally satisfied. Ordered lemon juice and it was yummy to have with Dosas.<br/><br/>What I love about South Indian restaurants is their quick service. You order and bang it comes on your table. You won't get this kind of experience at luxury dinning places. Places like Aatithya should be visited for whole different experience and taste.
Purvi Parikh
It did justify to the south Indian cuisine ambiance and hygiene average quality and quantity did justice to the price. Must try choke bhature and dosa

I have got childhood memories attached with Aaithya. Since the opening of this outlet its has been always on top of our list of probable family dinner venues. Quite Nostalgic.Β <br/><br/>Food is good, I loved the south Indian. Dosa was crisp and Punjabi is also good. Samosa is the best starter to start the meal. We then ordered my dad's favorite Malai Kofta and Naan. great as usual. Not much options in Beverages apart from colddrink and juices.Β <br/><br/>Service is good on weekdays. but on weekends its quite annoying. takes more than half an hour.Β <br/><br/>Compare. To my last visit the place seems to be clean.<br/><br/>Still I would suggest it to families and gangs to enjoy an evening.

Good food earlier but now something missing. Dhosa is sooooooo good. Enjoyes lot space is too smalll. Need renovation. Not too much clean. But food is good
Vikash Jain
Had gone for dinner with a friend wonderful food and everything is served hot . Taste is pretty good compared to the other South Indian restaurant in surat .
Rohan Merchant
Another one of the older iconic places of Surat. There's always a long line here so be prepared to wait. <br/>Nothing much of ambiance. Have had the south Indian food here. Uttapams, idlis and dosas are all good. Haven't tried the other stuff but friends have said its average. <br/>Very fast service and very reasonable. <br/>Go if you want decent south Indian food at a good rate.
Irfanuddin
Best for Puri Bhaji & Onion Uthappa. It's South Indian Is Much Better Compare To North Indian Food. Mostly Waiting Status. A Reasonable Menu. Best Place When One Is Confused In Urgency For Food.
Abhishek Kamdar
Most Overhyped ...<br/>Rally very disappointed after hearing so much appreciation form fiends...may be It was my bad day or whatever but will never ever visit again
Nishit Patel
Been here for th first tym though its a heritage restaurant since ages! Its difficult to define th experience.. Lip smackin no doubt. Th cuisines thy offer you are varied nd all taste to perfection. Had th rava dosa nd their trademark samosas. Cheers to th pllc.
Deep Desai
One of the oldest places that I used to visit. It has been pretty long since I have been there in recent past. I have tried north indian food over here which is quite okay and enjoy-worthy. Not bad option if you can not think of anything else.
Sidharrtha Jain
The only authentic South Indian Restaurant in town. Have been eating at this place for last 32 years. The taste hasn't changed over the years. Though it serves the entire Indian Menu but for me its only and only South Indian that pulls me to it , at least once every week. On a scale of 1 to 5, I will give it a perfect 10.
Alok Pareek
The best place for having breakfast. ....serves hot and fresh...eating since 30 yrs..it used to be always full ..but as RTO has been shifted..it is light in morning...but still running pack in nite ..
MANAN SHAH
One of the nicest restaurant for lunch or snacks...having been here for pass time activity since my college days...best taste of Idli Sambhaar you can find ever...would love to be here again for memorizing my teenage days!
Dipen Naik
One of the most likely place in Surat for authentic south Indian food... I especially likes Mysore masala n rava onion Dosa...shhhh ymmmmmmm
Manasi Hathiwala
One of the oldest restaurants in town, famous for its South Indian food. Also chole bhature seems to be a fave for many. <br/>Firstly this place is always crowded and waiting is inevitable. Annoying, especially during lunch hours. The menu is unnecessarily long, they should rather keep it short. They would have figured out by now what works best for the restaurant. <br/>The overall taste is good, nothing too great though. My quick fix for this place would be a masala dosa or idli vada.
Jesal Vasanwala
One of the oldest restaurant I am visiting from my childhood. This place is still the same as it was before. Interior and ambience is below average. Food is above average. But not so good. Reasonable price but the place is very congested and in pick hour it is found always full. U have to seat in waiting for a long time. Because of it's lace sitting area this thing is happening. You r loosing nothing if u r skipping this.
Vir Desai
The interior is bang on average and the ambience is nothing special. The food is also just about ordinary. Go there only if you are in the mood for some routine economical dinner.<br/>
Naimish Patel
It's an age old restaurant of surat now that has gone bit down in terms of food quality and taste. Ambience and decor is not so well. It's noisy in and out location sucks as lots of vehicles and blowing horns around. Unclean but people who still eat there are its fans from years.
Deven Tekrawala
There is always waiting for an entry. Service is average. Taste of food is good. Ambiance is average. Overall it is an average experience. One can try it out but not strongly recommend.
Shashiraj Punjabi
Been here with a friend, on her suggestion. Had to wait for nearly 25 minutes to get to the buffet. Being a punjabi food lover, would say the quality of food served was ambivalent. Service was quick, ambiance was average.
Vishnu Jadia
Lets start<br/>A waiting queue long enough to be called on a free food outlet( ul have to pay, ofcourse)<br/>Cramped up space(table for 4 people and 2 persons is actually table for 2, yeah that small)<br/>Dont look into the kitchen, if u want to eat with peace.<br/>Food: rava dosa, idli and uttapa good if you eat there, north indian is average too, if you dont mind the free oil u get alongwith the spices.
Dipesh Kumbhani
I was there for dinner very good food and service.if you are punjabi food lover then try it for sure with friends and family. ................
Kinjal
Soooo gud restaurant from long time in surat have good reputation and establish a quality food <br/>Gave good service but the only problem is waiting que length it will demoralize us before eat
Nisarg Shah
Best known for cholle bhature...since years...old is gold type...very simple and functional...go when you are at ring road for shopping...surely recommend
Foodainment
Amazing food since so many years, consistent with the taste and good at south Indian especially, this place is always full and ya the parcel option is better than to wait there.<br/>nice to go repeatedly with family and also budgetary.
Food Is Life ...
Aatithta a place which maintained its taste and innocence since many years. Awesome food ay very reasonable price. I must say they are still master of veg food and maintainer of memories....
Siddharth Mapara
This place brings back a lot of childhood memories. Been going here since a lot of years. They have been consistent in their taste and service. The Mysore masala dosa is amazing. Infact all of their dosas are good. The samosas are really nice. The chana masala has a unique taste. <br/>Great food, super quick service and pocket friendly. Must visit.
Imglobetraveler Jimmy
Aatithya restaurant is one of the oldest one in Surat. Earlier the food was quite good. Chana masala was their usp. but after the renovation of the restaurant, the ambience is too good but the food quality detoriates. The original taste has lost some what to match up with other modern restaurant. I hav tried both North Indian and South Indian food but it was of okay types. There are quite number of good hotels for these cuisines. Perfect example from good to worst. Service was also not upto the mark. They should have stick to their origin taste and then things would have been different. In short you can go for one time.<br/>Food : 5/10<br/>Ambience : 7/10<br/>Service : 5/10<br/>Value for money : 6/10
Monil Shah
A truly great place if you want to have lunch or dinner, great food and quick service at reasonable prices. Would had rated 5 but -1 for the high waiting line and the over crowding in the restaurant which generates v much noise.
