Awesome food and awesome ambience....we went for a dinner with family and was surprised with their live music ...so along with tasty and fresh food you can get a musical delight ...good pricing for food as well...the spinach rolls crispy corn were too good

Moni's is one of Thane's oldest Fine-Dine Restaurant & Bar. It has been recently renovated and the new ambience is really pleasant and welcoming. The staff is very helpful and polite. The food is very delicious. We tried the crab-chili soup which was so yummy ! Chicken Kandhari tikka was good as well. They have nice cocktails and mocktails. I've had caramel Custard at many places, but the one I had at Moni's really stood out. It had good flavour and consistency. Over all it's a fantastic restobar.

Visited so many times..ambience is aesthetic 90s vibe. Food is tasty. Service is quick. For the family must visit🙌

Starters- Crab soup is amazing, prawns tandoori loved it.. for main course - laal Maas was average more of a tangy taste. Didn't really feel the authentic taste. Good cocktails too.. overall an amazing place for lunch & dinner with family.

This place serves very tasty dishes and they are presented really well. Have visited a few times with my family and relatives. My grandpa just loves the Lung fung soup from here. All the cuisines are tasty and well- prepared. The sizzling brownie with icecream is a must try. Their service was great as well.

One of the best place in the city to hang around with family and even friends. Their starters are worth giving a try as they are not just yummy but also available in different sauces.

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the special bar drinks, the cucumber/cilantro infused vodka martini and the K&P Aquarium was great (even took photos so we could try to replicate at home).

Sometimes alternative turns out to be better than original idea.<br/>We decided to go to newly opened restaurant as from outside it was looking nice and our experience is newly opened restaurant always serves good food and service is excellent. Somehow we were not able to go there and then we landed in Monis as a second choice!<br/>Monies we had visited long back and memory was not so good, however we were famished so decided it is nearest one, so let's go.<br/>When we entered we were in for a pleasant surprise as interiors were changed and looking nice.<br/>Before even finalizing starter we ordered masala papad which was nicely garnished with freshly cut tomatoes, onions and coriander.<br/>Starter Veg danadari(makai) tiki came in a traditional mini handcart and taste was matching with all decoration.<br/>Next starter cheese chili toast was perfectly toasted with right amount of chili !<br/>In main, we had veg kadai, veg chaman masala with laccha paratha and butter fulaka and all were delicious.<br/>I will say Monis turned out to be blessing in disguise and definitely changed our opinion. Reasonably priced (1870 for 6 )and quality of food and service is ‘ value for money’, so worth a visit!

If you want to try sizzlers without going too far from thane then u can visit this restaurant. It serves great sizzlers and its pocket friendly too. I would recommend everyone to taste its sizzlers.

Monis is a huge place in thane. It has a beautiful ambiance and a large fish tank to give you company while having food.<br/>Veg wontons soup and corn tikki was delicious. Sizzling Chinese sizzler was good too. French fries had a good presentation style but lacked salt the only thing which was disappointing.

They r cheaters. I ordered a druit sald with ice cream. But, the fruit name is only pinneaple and the half scoop of ice cream.<br/>The quantity of fruit sald is half of the delivery box. When i complaint they told me that we sent u extra box, but u have to come for collect it. They r not eligible for good job.

Went here with friends checking out the ratings on Zomato.. The place was too crowded whicj made us happy regarding choice of hotel.. it took 20 min to get in there..<br/>We ordered the food and had to wait for half hour to get the food.. the food was top notch just loved the taste.. but the ambience let us down.. too much smokey and lack of proper ventilation made it bit suffocating.. Definitely this thing will make me think before going here again..<br/>

Monis is there for ages. One of the restaurants from the time when Thane was coming of age. So it commands a Loyal customer base. And have all cliche standards maintained which a good restaurant should have.<br/>We had Chicken Barbeque Platter which was well made and Manchow soup which was nothing special. This restaurant has a Bar menu and is Family Friendly so one can have drinks and enjoy a nice dinner even with family. But again it's a bit Highly-priced and has not evolved with time<br/>It's good but could be better.

I thought of ordering something for Nizami Chicken Roll which was a chef specialty.<br/><br/>Nizami Chicken Roll: Being a chef specialty I was expecting it to be good and it exceeded my expectations. Size of the roll was so big that it was cut in 2 pieces to get delviered. Roti was soft and tasty. Inside it had chicken pieces with sauces and some vegetables. The food was really the good. Especially the kandharu chicken and the sizzling brownie. The beg exotic sizzler was disappointing but the over experience and meal was very satisfying.

Monis! The Legendary place in Thane. Has the old school resto look to it! It's peaceful and calm. Perfect place to have a nice family dinner. They an extensive Menu. This was an effortless mocktail priced exorbitantly<br/><br/>Amazone- Sipped on this unique combination of Grape Juice, Orange Juice, pomegranate extract and a tinge of lime.. a little too sweet but overall it was good!<br/><br/>50-50 Kebab- 4 chunks of chicken kebab and 4 pieces of mutton kebab served with green chutney and salad. The mutton kebab was good!<br/><br/>Ginger Lemon Chicken- Chicken chunks pan fried in Ginger and Lemon, seasoned with spices and served hot. Didn't really get the flavour of lemon, but none the less, it was a yummy dish !<br/><br/>Bhatinda Chicken- shredded and tiny chicken pieces marinated in Indian spices, cooked in to a thick gravy and dressed with sliced boiled egg. This really went well with the garlic naan.<br/><br/>Gulab Jamun- all time fav and our go to dessert! The gulab jamun balls were not properly deep fried as the inside was still kind of raw. Also, we found a strand of thread in the bowl which looked like a thread from the table cloth, quite disgusting! We got the Gulab Jamun replaced, that's all.<br/><br/>Caramel Custard- the presentation was horrible! The bowl looked messed up, the custard was deformed and the consistency was pasty unlike the usual. Was one of Thane’s prime restaurants of the 90’s. Particularly known for their Mutton Sandwiches and Seafood items. We had ordered a Chicken Sizzler, some Chicken gravy and some butter naans. Did not fail to delight even today! :)

It's totally a family fine dine place with some amazing food and great drinks. It's bit away from road and is not visible easily. But as soon you enter there's this big service standing to help you. We had Herbal Fiesta and 3g both were amazing drinks, loved it. In starters you should definitely try five spice roast chicken, chicken crispy, and prawns hara bara. Five spice was a very different kind of a dish which had too much of flavourfulness. In main course we had chicken Maratha which was spicy curry style chicken with butter roomali roti. Finally heading to desserts we had a normal cassata, blueberry kulfi which I personally tried for the first time and love how it tasted. Monis special sundae was my favorite dessert here.

Visited this place after a long long time due to the construction of the road adjoining the hotel. It is quite a big place with beautifull decors and interiors. There are two sections here.<br/>You will see fish tanks all over here, some beautifully carved inside the walls.<br/>This is not just a bar but a very awesome restaurant where families can sit together and have their food .<br/><br/>Location:- It is 15mins walking from thane station or rickshaws are easily available to get you here.<br/><br/>We were warmly welcomed by the service staff.<br/>They made us seated and helped us by suggesting very good and unique dishes.<br/>We ordered:-<br/>#Mocktails<br/>1.Angels Treat<br/>This mocktail was so chilled and it included pomegranate, passion fruit and fizzy lime. Blue Hawaiian<br/>As the name suggest it was totally blue in colour, and was served in a elephant tooth structured glass. Located at about a distance of about 15 mins from the station,this place is definitely a gem. They have been serving from the past 39 years and I'm so glad i got to try this place out. Ever since the moment we entered, the staff greeted us with a warm smile and constantly assured if we were comfortable. Lovely hospitality indeed! Had heard that they are quite famous for their seafood but unfortunately couldn't try em,but definitely going back for it. This place has a lovely vibe to it. Also, they have a fish tank next to the seating arrangement which is definitely an eye catcher.<br/>What we tried:<br/>📌3G Mocktail : More than a treat to the tastebuds, this was a delight to our eyes. A perfect fusion of guava,granadine and grapes this is a must try when here! Pretty sure this will astonish you people. I must say that the liquid nitrogen enhanced the overall presentation.<br/>📌Litchy punch: This was yum but put us in a dilemma regarding the ingredients used. It had this lovely flavour of litchy and other stuffs unknown to us which perfectly complemented well. Also, the quantity is hugeee.<br/>📌Chocolate Monk:This tasted like our regular chocolate shake. But had mild flavours, you can skip this one.<br/>📌Crackling paneer with spinach: I had tried this at a different outlet and instantly became a fan. Tried of your regular starters? This is a warm change. The paneer used is of superior quality and aah, the melt in the mouth texture of spinach was to die for!<br/>📌Danedar Tikki: I assume this was a new addition to the menu. It had this crispy sev coated outer covering filled with some veggies and cheese. Visited this restaurant for dinner and was surprised that it was fully packed even on a weekday. Even though it is a bar cum restaurant this place is visited by families even with kids. The kids have a small.play area too. So lets talk about being what initially i thought of being a common traditional bar and restaurant kind of place but turned out to be quite a surprising as well.<br/><br/>Monis is actually not what it looks like from outside. Don't judge a book by its cover kind of place. Well by the first look from the outside of course it does feel like ohh is it really the place where i want to be, but once you enter inside, there are 1000% chances of getting amazed by the ambience, people and the food of course.<br/><br/>A big place with perfectly aligned seating arrangements for the tables and chairs and courteous staff makes the place quite a noticeable.<br/><br/>Seperate sections for the bar and restaurant as well as for the families as well. And yes talk about the ambience and the dim lighting and the fish tanks, some carved inside the walls and some kept outside and well maintained as well.<br/><br/>You'll have to give it 10 out of 10 for the ambience of course. Considering such beautiful scenes inside.<br/><br/>Now must mention is the service they provided, it was such timely and courteous all the way till the end.<br/><br/>They will make you feel like you own the restaurant and you can ask for anything and yet they are so much courteous to answer the queries very much politely<br/><br/>Now if coming to the food, what we had included,<br/><br/>1. Really so much satisfied with this decision.<br/><br/>At last we wanted to try some of their unique desserts that they claim to have been changing everyday. Monis is located 12 min ride away from Thane Railway station at Naupada in Thane West. The place is huge. Has a children's play area too. More of a family restaurant. Decently maintained.<br/><br/>Monis is more of known for its North Indian and Chinese food. I'd suggest go for Indian. That's great. Also dont really opt for mocktails. Cocktails can be a replaceable option for mocktails.<br/><br/>About food I'd suggest the below:<br/>Chicken kebabs<br/>Cream of chicken soup<br/>Veg Russian Salad<br/><br/>Also on their table their separately place a chef's special menu go for that. That's nicely done in every aspect.<br/><br/>For desserts try their flavoured kulfis.<br/><br/>It's a family restaurant. And a bar on the other hand. Don't expect pound music. You could see the glee light up in my parents eyes on the mention of monis. Monis one of the oldest restaurants in Thane city. Maintaining vestiges of its old splendor, the in-wall aquariums are still present along with the plush velvetine seating, dim lighting and mellow music. They have got huge space. It is near to thane railway station like 10-15 mins walking. They have these huge fish tanks which makes the place look pretty cool. They have playing area for kids as well. Staff is well-behaved. <br/><br/>If you're looking for dinner time with family this one is perfect place to go. There's not much noise and just light music is on. What an amazing experience it was last nite. Everything I had was just yummy.<br/>This place is wellknown for its seafood and fish being my favorite tried fish items here.<br/>He had lot of things. We started with <br/>Green exotic soup- this soup was very tasty as well as yummy. It had baby corn, broccoli, mushroom and chicken pieces in it. The aroma of the soup itself was so tempting that couldn’t control as soon as it was served just grabbed it. Must try.<br/>Tawa fish was a starter which had pomfret cooked on a tawa . The fish was marinated well and cooked very nicely. The fish was very fresh and soft. It was served witj pudina chutney and onions.<br/>V ordered mocktails:<br/>Herbal fiesta which was mixture of pinapple basil limca and lime<br/>Kiwi spl was kiwi juice lime and sprite both the drinks were delicious <br/>Next we had was murg dilkash kabab where the chicken was stuffed with cheese where each bite gave a lovely cheesy taste. The meat was cooked very well and spices were just proper.<br/>Multani mushrooms. I have seen such bit mushrooms for the first time. The mushrooms were very were marinated and coated with gram flour.<br/>In main course v had fish curry goan curry with steam rice. What an amazing combination it was. The curry was spicy and sour. The fish was soft and having it with rice was just wowwwww. We had it with a roasted papad.<br/>We ended our dinner with sizzling brownie which was as usual wowwww.<br/>The interiors of the place was well maintained they had a huge fish tank and a slide for the kids. I visited this place on a weekday evening.<br/>It is a family restaurant with soothing music and dim lit lights and comfortable seating.<br/>The service is great and staff is cordial.<br/><br/>Starters: Masala papad<br/>mushroom tikka - Mushrooms are marinated with spices and served with salad.<br/>Paneer chilly oriental - Spicy and comes with sliced hot chillies. Paneer very soft and seemed fresh.<br/>Cheesy poppers - Comes in an attractive eye catchy small bicycle. It is a one of the oldest restaurant in thane this place was a benchmark for all the restaurant in thane the ambience is super classy and the service is great over here the staff is very decent the food quality and the service is still the same from the beginning<br/><br/>Dishes we tried<br/>Chicken devil sauce<br/>It was Chinese dish with chicken tossed in the devil sauce and veggies in it.<br/><br/>Chicken lababdar kabab<br/>The chicken were cooked in tandoor with the white batter and the kababs were loaded with cheese.<br/><br/>Mutton rogan josh<br/>The mutton was properly cooked and the gravy of the Rogan Josh was super smooth and perfectly balanced with all the spices.<br/><br/>5spice roast chilly<br/>The chicken in this dish were grill pan siered with veggies and spices. This dish is on the spicier side .<br/><br/>Ended with the dessert<br/><br/>Black forest ice cream<br/>It was frozen in nature but the taste of dessert was good it was more like ice cream cake.<br/><br/>Overall this place is definitely worth a try specially for there cool and calm ambience and there delectable food.<br/><br/>

Monis Bar and Restaurant is a casual family dining restaurant located in the heart of Thane. Even though I am living in Thane for the last 22 years I had never been to this gem of a place. <br/><br/>It is one of the oldest restaurants of Thane and has it’s own fan following. I had been here on a Tuesday evening for dinner and the amount of customers present spoke a lot about the standard of the restaurant. <br/><br/>The restaurant is fairly old yet elegant. They have maintained it very well. Even though the restaurant feels old it isn’t spoil or damaged. Kudos to the management for maintaining the place so well. The service provided by Mr. Robin and Mr. Jeevan was very nice. Mr. Jeevan knew the menu very well while Mr. Jeevan made sure that we were not left waiting before serving the food. <br/><br/>The food menu is so vast that it will take atleast a 100 visits to this place to complete it. Each and every item on the menu looks appealing. It’s not extremely modern but it’s not extremely outdated as well. Whenever I need to treat frnds or fmly I just blindly opt fr dis place coz I’m confident dat d starters , mock tails n food is gng to b superb Had bn here on 14th Jan n enjoyed every moment as d food n service was grt. One of the oldest and very popular fine dimes in Thane. Extremely courteous and well mannered staff right from the valet , gate keeper to the top guys. The service is really quick even on busy days. Food options are many in starters as well as main course and they have a great variety in sea food too. A must visit fine dine in Thane.
