Review Clove Bar & Kitchen - Thane

This restaurant is very old outlet. Located on busy Ghodbunder road , near Majiwada road. Restaurant provide valet parking that's the plus point in Thane Food quality is good , but service is very slow. Whatever food we ordered which was served very hot n fresh. Staff is very polite & very quick to the table. Only one suggestion is that, they need to serve fast .

Very nice and relaxing place. Go there with cool mind and have tastiest dishes available there with beer. BIRYANI IS AWESOME. A good place in thane for better dining service, reputable place, budget friendly and family friendly. What else do you need? It's a little dark near this place but the hotel is always busy. Must visit.

Nice food, poor service

A new entrant in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area with exceptional service and food. The Clover Bar & Kitchen offers a royal experience with their lavish ambience and rich interior. You feel like entering a royal mansion when you step inside the hotel. The seating arrangement is quite comfortable which is accompanied by a bar counter. The service which you get here is top notch and it is nothing less than an experience in a 5-star property. The staff here is very helpful and the suggestion they gave us turned out to be quite good. Coming to the food part, the food we had here was surprisingly good. I tried the 'Thai Basil Dumpling'. The dumplings had a soft coating which led to a juicy huge filling of minced chicken and basil. It was one of a kind experience.

One of the fine dining restaurant located in Capitol hotel on Majiwada junction Thane. Nice decor, good food, good service. Staff is good and very attentive. Food quality is consistent and yummy. Very elaborate menu of Indian, Chinese. Quantity is sufficient. They also have good sizzlers. They have lunch buffet all days with complimentary wine, beer or soft drink. Buffet priced at Rs 475 on week days and Rs 525 on weekends. Little expensive food but worth money. Add on they have loyalty program which offer 10% discount on A La Carte and extended happy hours on weekend. Nothing to beat it.

We celebrated our marriage anniversary on 20 Feb 2018 there and had dinner. Superb ambience, good and tasty food, good service, polite staff. Memorable anniversary. Must visit at least once.

The food was very good, tasty. But one thing happend with us, we had kept one bag on the rear seat of our car, but the valet parking driver moved that bag to the dicky. I could not understand the logic behind doing this

I come here for a evening walk almost every evening ... It is a good place for a quite walk in a bussling city, .. The security is awesome 2 old security personal but very proactive ... If you are around this area do visit this place in the evening also there is a open gym in the park which is kept in a good condition ... There is also a volleyball court where kids play, there are lot of trees in the park

Located in the Capitol hotel, clove perhaps might not be a popular option amongst crowd. This is an average restaurant, probably decently good for the drink and dinner but not so for lunch and breakfast. The breakfast menu provided is too limited and some items looked dull (keshri or sheera). <br/>The dinner menu is but good. There are many items to choose from, seems not pricey but the taste and quantity is good. The Desi non-veg items are good (mutton and Chicken). The Chinese fried rice wasn't good though! Average one, not a good ambience.

The dal was very sweet. I had put a special request for providing extra green sauce. In place of extra, there was nothing provided at all. The restaurant must tell how to eat tikka without green sauce?

This was the worst experience in this restaurant. I've been visiting this restaurant for many years. But the food quality has deteriorated drastically. The sizzling brown was cold directly from the refrigerator. Even the Paneer was stale. Overall the experience was worst.

Think and be super careful before you order here... Misleading menu, Highly overpriced, and not at all value for money. <br/>They charged me a bomb for a basic item like boiled egg; like come on who charges 200 bucks for eggs and that too not properly done eggs.

We went for the Buffay lunch upon a friend's reco. the spread was decent but the food quality was better than our expectations. a special mention to the prawn chilli and the dal makhani which were amazing. can be tried for a lil lunch out.

First of all reaching this place is a headache. Though it is on main road still it is difficult to reach due to traffic. Thank god it has valet parking. There was only one service staff on a Sunday afternoon. How is that acceptable?. The buffet kept running out of food. The shaffing dishes were empty. The food tags were wrong. I mean literally wrong.<br/>It said Thai curry green when the curry was red. No body to there to attend to any of our needs. <br/>It once was an amazing restaurant to dine at, not anymore.

Good service but food is quite average. Prawns were fresh af. Quantity is pathetic for the price, ordered for fish Thai curry with was average in taste but only 5 minuscule basa fish pieces were there literally! Had visited this place with my family for a dinner. below are some of the observations<br/><br/>Cons :<br/><br/>1. Some items on the menu are slightly overpriced according to standards and service you get<br/>2. Overcooling of a/c: when we visited, the a/c was too chilled for you to feel comfortable. Had to request few times to increase the temperature a bit.3. We had ordered 2 starters, instead of bringing both starters together - half of people were served one first, half of people watching others faces then after 10-15 mins next starter came in. I think its basic etiquette to bring both starters at once.<br/>4. Slow service: Okay, so this was really bad. Everytime, the order took 45 minutes to an hour to arrive. If you are eating and want to order a chapati, it will come after 15 mins and till then the curry will go cold because of overcooling. So it was really a spoiler, as you couldn't enjoy the food. Infact, I had to think if I should order rumali roti when it got over, because of the time it took.5. If you plan to visit here please go through the entire menu before ordering. We had our Sunday Family lunch. Gone for the option of Buffet. They had a variety of things Chinese muglai, pasta, chat corner. Chat was not that impressive. But the non veg gravy mulgai specially is a must try 🍗. For the Buffet would give 3.5. Ambience is good but the place got really crowded n noisy later.

Food,  Ambience , Service and Buffet is nice. But there is one problem. The bill at the end is rather high as compared to other restaurants except China Bistro and Barbeque Nation. What I like about the place is that there there is no parking problem, and it serves delicious food.

Worst food. When we ordered veg platter, I asked specifically what all is included in it, and was satisfied with the answer. When it actually was on our table the waiter said I have made it different and special. It was the worst ever platter. I found a stone in my dish. there is one particular waiter he thinks fools come to his restaurant. He said mushroom is included and it was not. They have no sense of serving the dishes. The ice cream was served in bowl which was so uncomfortable to eat. Basic common sense is absent in the waiters. Finally when I looked at the bill it was inflated for the worst food we had plus he had overcharged us on the same bloody platter. When I pointed out he said it is computer mistake (the same waiter ) Worst experience. Pls stay away from this place. !!!! A STRICT NO!<br/>

Ordered from Clove today. Though delivered on time, the food was cold and oily. The oil even leaked through the carry bag which the delivery boy had. Food was average and not extra ordinary.

I really do not want to elaborate any details about my experience cause it won't sound really good. Before this, Satkar Residency's buffet topped the list but Clove worked hard enough to kick them down to second place. Their chicken absolutely taste nothing like chicken, mutton didn't taste like mutton, and everything else didn't taste like it should. May be it just a bad day for them and me, but spending Rs.8500/- was a irreparable blunder I have made. (Was with mu family).<br/><br/>AMBIENCE: Decent, nothing sort of extraordinary. The place was cool, but quite compact. I was hardly able to walk without getting pushed or touched once. I got around 12 sorry complementary with the buffet 😂<br/><br/>Moral: I spent 555+ taxes just to eat tummy full of Gulab Jamun. Wow! Their Gulab were an absolute treat for my tongue. They were sweet, succulent, delicious so was the Lemon Coriander Soup that had right amount of lemon's sourness. A quintessential Chicken Lemon Coriander Soup. And here goes my another star for these two phenomenal dishes which were star of the lunch.

Located at a very busy area of Thane the restaurant is quiet OK. First of all it was full for a Sunday lunch buffet as I feel it is very popular among the locals. So much so that they had put up extra tables in a hall apart from the restaurant. Staff is courteous but very less in number considering the crowd . So u have to keep waiting to even get water. I tried the buffet . Starters were OK. Main course not that great. The chicken was something u cook at home but too oily. Mutton was not that great. Veg also was very bland. Then comes the desert which was a complete let down . Not talking about more options but whatever was dere was pathetic. Need to really work on that. And management should be prepared to handle more crowd if they know they are going to be so busy . So overall an OK experience as it is not too much on the pocket.

Service is good ambience is awesome but food it's not at all as expected. Soup is ok. Starter good options but tasteless. Main course again only one of the option was good. Desserts only go for Guhan jambun they are the best one I have every had rest all has lots of essences. Not up to the mark food

I had gone to Clove multiple times before and had supreme experience with their ambience and staff courteousness. It had been quite some time since I hadn't visited so this time I took my parents to celebrate my dad's birthday there. But that had been the worst decision that could have possibly happened.<br/>This has been so far the most horrible experience at Clove that I have had. The food was either undercooked or too oily. The staff was huddled up together and gossiping. There was no one to even serve us water. The dishes were not getting refilled sooner. The parking staff were supremely arrogant and partial. Even with valet parking, they just showed us where they have parked the car. We were asked to go and collect it ourselves. <br/>There is no way in heaven or hell that I am going back to hat place ever again.

Would like to mention that they have a Good Value for money Buffet lunch , i have visited with my family , the food spread is good , it is good place for a lavish lunch

To start of with the ambiance of Clove was pretty good. All the starters that were recommended were good. The Mumbai mirchi chicken was the best from them all. The main course and dessert were good too. Special mention of the date pancake for the desserts it's was really good and quite different. Service was quick and good.Overall a very good experience for my first time visit. Worth a second visit.

Went here with family to celebrate my mom's birthday. The ambience is quite classy and sophiscated. The staff is courteous. Service is quick. Even the food is fine. I was here on my birthday with my besties. This place has really good ambience and decent food quality<br/> We opted for buffet lunch, veg starters were nice they had perfect taste,c coleslaw salad was good with all other stuff. In Main course I loved the white sauce pasta it had perfect creamy texture all the rest offerings were also decent. <br/>Staff here is very hospitable they brought in my birthday cake with very nice decoration and played birthday song as well making my day more special.

I had been there on a sunday to have their lunch buffet. The buffet menu was quite standard and basic but nonetheless I liked it because of the quality and taste of it. They also have some chaat dishes inclusive of their buffet which is a good thing. The ambience and service is also good. Overall nice and simple restaurant with quality food.

I was here with my extended family on 29th may for my Dad's birthday party, the service has become PATHETIC..My 25th birthday was Celebrated here 2 years ago ... and that was great ... we kept coming .. but today's experience was worst .. They charged 55 rs per Bislery water without saying that this is chargeable... THIS MANAGEMENT GUYS SHOULD REALLY GO TO ... NEARBY BUFFET RESTAURANT LIKE BARBEQUE NATIONS .. Visited clove on Tuesday evening, the ambience was good as its was a candle light theme. The staff /service was prompt & with a smile. chicken chilly, chicken hazuri kebab & veg dum biryani all were good. I just feel that the rates are a bit on higher side when you compare them to any other fine dine restaurant in that area. Overall a good experience but nothin great hence Giving it a 3.5.

I Have called clove the restaurant yesterday to reserve a table for my mom dad's anniversary and even to arrange a cake and they too said that they will arrange a brownie cake as surprise. But today when my mom dad visited clove restaurant didn't did as they committed on call, I'm very disappointed with this.I have visited this restraurant many times and was in love with their food but now I'm feeling very unhappy with them and I'm not going to suggest clove to anyone.

To our surprise it was a candle light dinner night which we should have been informed at the time of making our reservation. The place serves Indian & Chinese food. Food was just about satisfactory & nothing out of the ordinary. We had ordered the lemon coriander soup which was decent and eight treasure soup which tasted good but had a pungent garlic aroma. Also, very strangely, there was a huge time lag in the two soups being served. By the time we were served with the second soup, our other family members were almost done with the first soup. Care should be taken that soups are served together. For starters we had the kurkure cheese kebab which again tasted ok but was very dry and every time you dig your spoon in, it crumbled a lot more than you'd expect. The clove special paneer tikka with some stuffing was a sham. The stuffing was tasteless and paneer wasn't soft. Next up we ordered th subzi peshawari which was more sweet than spicy. For rotis, we had missi roti, makai roti and tandoori roti, which were again decent. <br/><br/>Overall verdict: If you don't go here, you are not missing anything. There are better eateries around.

My everyday restaurant. Good quality food, service. I usually order as pick up or home delivery and get within the promised time and Hot. Never gets bored to stop ordering from here.

A good place to dine out. Nice ambiance and decent service. But too expensive for the value it provides<br/>There is nothing exceptional that can command the current premium being charged. A medium sized masala papad with only tomatoes and onion is expensive for Rs. 45. Some standard Paneer Curries are Rs. 375. Food tastes decent but the pricing is too much

The restaurant has simple n nice ambience just like any other fine dine outlet. The service is good. The food quality is very good. They have an option of buffet which is surprisingly not costly. Overall good outlet to go for dine with family or friends.

This restaurant gets a lot of crowd but sadly the food was awful except the starters. They do not serve you anything and the counters are not fully Laden with stuff. When the restaurant is full you have to wait for the starters to arrive. <br/>The chat counter was okayish. The puri n sev were not fresh n hence no crunch in them. <br/>I visited with my friends after reading the reviews but it was a sad place. In welcome drinks you have option to chose from cold drinks to port wine. All served only once with a small quantity. Non veg counters were greasy n regular taste. Deserts were just a cake, fruit custard n gulab Jamun.for the money they charge with extra taxes they could have done better. You had to grab the attention of waiters to clean your table n make place for plates. Not recommended at all!

Drive towards Majiwada Wonder Mall and to your left you see Capitol Restaurant - The Clove.<br/>Got late to book a table on Valentine's Day, we walked in this hotel as heard a lot before about their dishes.<br/>So we got a chance to enjoy our date at The Clove.<br/>They had arranged a long variety of dishes for buffet.<br/>1 fish starter, 2 chicken (chicken wings and kebab which tasted good than wings) in non veg, whereas veg included paneer, chilly fries and corn pattice.<br/>We tasted the Chicken soup amazingly good start in appetizer.<br/>Moving on to main course, they served Chinese, Continental, Punjabi in veg whereas Chicken grevy, Fish curry, gosh (mutton curry), chinese dishes.<br/>We also had chat items from a chat corner. The quality of items used to prepare looked good but it didn't taste good or messed up with the Chat flavour.<br/>Fried rice was quite tasty, white sauce pasta didn't added much memory to taste.<br/>Noodles were good but not kept warm which slightly disappointed.<br/>Oh yeah, they also served us a welcome drink from soft drinks, Maaza, beer pint etc.<br/>Finally moving on to deserts, a long list of variety there. Doodhi Halwa, Rice Kheer, Custurd, barfi etc. Salads were good but didn't catch much to taste although the most decorated part was in Salads. Beautifully carved watermelon to add the Valentine's ambiance and whole of restaurant decorated with red heart shaped balloons added the love in air.<br/>So to sum up all, Food pretty good for price and lot of variety served, taste indeed good, service was ok since the hotel got crowded later and lot of bunch of people wandering with plates top up it with some delicacies. Ambiance is good. Still looking for more variety to taste from Ala Carte especially sea food and some more dishes from menu.<br/>Nice place for buffet or family lunch/dinner.<br/>Go for it! Added in list for another visit.<br/>

Been here yesterday for the special valentine themed evening/ dinner. Must say, it was worth it. I was really impressed with the kind of atmosphere they had set, food was also good. But most importantly the service, the people were exceptionally humble and sweet, i was really really satisfied with the service was provided. They made sure we are happy and comfortable. Everything was amazingly done. :)

Had gone with family and had a buffet for three and it was really really good. The starters were excellent, the main course was pretty decent, with good sides along with a variety of desserts. Overall service quality and ambiance was excellent along with the dining experience. Food: 4/5 (half point less for main dishes)Ambiance & Service: 4.25/5<br/>Value for Money: 4/5<br/><br/>Must try once at least!

Undoubtedly, the food was really yum and the quantity was satisfactory (as always) but what disappointed us was the New Years menu that they had designed especially for New Year's Eve! I recommended this place to my friends because I had been to this place earlier for the lunch buffet and had loved it. The food is really good. But the charges they had applied for the dishes was so unjustified. The starters were priced (rather overpriced) at 495 and so on, which usually are priced at 325 so on and so forth. The service and everything is good. But this was a really disappointing factor! Also, we ended up paying almost 900 Rs taxes because the overpriced dishes weren't enough!

Its an excellent restaurant although not so much famous because of its obscure location. No easy parking although they have vallet parking to take care of same. <br/>Ambience is pleasent serves all types of veg non veg food, quantity and quality is excellent. They had a good bar tender mixing excellent cocktails and mocktails.<br/>Although prices are slightly uppish they wont burn a hole in ur pocket.<br/>Corn spinach, mangolian chicken are very good starters to set the mood.<br/>Helpful waiters suggest good options.<br/>Definitely worth a visit if not more.

The taste of every starter is different in itself n best to have...good variety..n very crowded on sundays..will surely visit again..for itz taste factor..

Went there on 20th December, with friends for buffet lunch, was greeted nice ambience!<br/><br/>The soup was good, next came the starters. Fish starter was bland, how it should be, but few of my friends were expecting a bit spicy affair, and were delighted by chicken starters!<br/>Drinks were served at table as they said and wine was decent though not sufficient.<br/>Live corner was treat for chat lovers and enjoyed rounds of that street food..<br/>Salads served some tasty variants and russian salad was liked by all!<br/>In main course, gosht gravy, chicken curry was good but fish molly was a star performer!!<br/>Chinese main course was also choice of few..<br/>Desserts served some delightful mango moose and firni as well as hot and fresh gulab jamoons! <br/>To conclude our lunch we had a scoop of ice cream !!<br/><br/>In all it was a pleasent experience with dim lights and soothing background scores. Even some live sports were being telecasted. Complementory WiFi is available, but speed is not as good as our 3G connections. Vallet parking took away the worries of finding parking spot in the begining itself.<br/><br/>We all had very good time here, and would like to thank the Clove team for it. Next time, would like to experience the al carte menu with some rocking cocktails fron the bar!<br/><br/>Cheers!

It was a last minute decision to go to a Restaurant in Thane..else we were planning for something in Powai. But I must say that I was not dissapointed. Staff was polite and very attentive. Service was good..we did not have to wait much for the orders. Fried fish fingers was highlight along with the veg Pot Rice. Also the kurkure veg kebab was nicely made with mayo sauce. Cocktails should be tried out..we did with Bull frog..it had correct amount of spirits in it. Good for family dining. Would visit again 😊
