Craving Maharashtrian flavors? This place has got you covered with a menu full of authentic Maharashtrian dishes. Don't miss out on the star of the show – the must-order Modak! Now, onto the logistics – parking might pose a bit of a challenge, so be prepared for that. On the brighter side, there's a washroom available, ensuring your visit remains convenient. If you're in the mood to savor your meal on-site, good news – dine-in is an option. But if you're leaning towards the comfort of home, they've got you covered there too with online ordering. For those peak hours when a bit of wait is inevitable, they've thoughtfully arranged a waiting area. So, while parking might require a bit of patience, the overall experience promises to be a tasty adventure into Maharashtrian cuisine. From traditional delights to the ever-popular Modak, this place is ready to serve up a flavorful experience, whether you're dining in or opting for the convenience of online orders.

My go-to place if want to try home made like food and authentic marathi food. For food, it's a 5 star. All dishes are delicious and tasty. You will find authentic marathi dishes over here, and they do have authentic flavor and tasty. Service wise 4 star. Their staff is helpful, and they do have quick service Atmosphere wise 4, as it give you that typical marathi home food vibe but they do have photos and pictures abt different part of Maharashtra. The best part is food, so guys, if you want yo try and want to have authentic marathi food, Metkut is the place to visit.

Metkut is the hotel known for its pure vegetarian Food. The ambience here is awesome. You can experience a waiting time of 15 to 30 minutes. The taste of the food served is up to the taste. The quantity is good. Good for family gathering and good for people who want to taste authentic maharashtrian food.

I often visit this place with my family, and we love It however today the experience was pathetic. We had came here to eat upvas food however each and every dish we ordered was undercooked or tasteless. New staff is totally unaware of the menu and the options in it. Didn't expect this!! Hope to see better service ahead like before.

One of the best maharashtrian restaurant I ever visited.
The food they serve is so authentic and extremely delicious.
The best part is the options in the main Courses what they offer even being a vegetarian place.
Kaju chi usal, amboli, kothimbir vadi, aloo vadi are few of the best dishes they serve.
If you looking for authentic Maharashtrian meal then must visit this place for sure.
Swapnil Gaikwad
How on Earth can someone give Karanji as dessert and still charge Rs. 249 for so called unlimited Maharashtrian thali??
To find it out, visit Metkut at your own risk!!
No single authentic marathi food item to offer as they serve you bland tomato saar, masur usal and shev bhaji along with baby batata wada's and uncooked kothimbir vadi.
Horrible experience, indeed.
Kinnari Pagare
I often visit metkut...the food is delicious and service is prompt...the only thing I did not like in my recent visit was the cutlery in which food was served.
Please change your cutlery!!!

Place is good...had to wait in queue for 30 mins as we went around 10 but food was tasty though couple of popular items wer unavailable. As it was closing time we ordered more, would recommend not to order too much you would feel it wont be enough but its more than you would require.Service is slow.

Authentic Maharashtian food at economical rates. It takes you back to your maharashtian roots. The highlight is that they offer plethora of dishes collated from different parts of Maharashtra. They know their Nagpuri vs Kolhapuri cuisine well. Go here for homely photbhar 🤤 unlimited thali. As they say in all Masterchef shows 'Eat Local' 🤘

I was here for lunch today.I ordered the following dishes

1.Ghavna-Soft pancakes served along with chutney. This was very good in taste and texture.

2.Methi Bhaji- Less methi more of onion.Dint taste the best as usual homemade vegetable.

3.Batatyachya Kachryaa- The taste outcome wasn't good.Should have incorporated tomato flavour along with spice.

4.Khamang Kakdi- Chunks of cucumber, jeera, ghee, crushed peanuts, salt.Missed the tempered taste.

5.Ukdiche Modak - Filling was nice. The outer dough of the modak was mixed with corn flour along with refined flour. It was sticking to the teeth and mouth.

6.Kothimbir Wadi- Crisp but not great filling.Enough of coriander and other elements lacked quantity.

One of good places to have unlimited veg Thali at pocket friendly prices. This places serves authentic Maharashtrian food.
Thali had batata vada, kanda bhaji,salad,dal,rice,roti,2 sabji( one dry mix veg,and vangyacha bharit),srikhand, cudi, papad and chaas plus there was an option for rice or masala bhat i tried both and it was not too spicy anybody can have and would like that its just sauted with onion and few spices.
The whole thali was fulfilling and at the end they also give mitha paan to have.Just the fact that it is too small hardly there were 6 tables i guess so might have to wait.
Overall
Food - 5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Value for money - 5/5

I have ordered 'Phodaniche Pohe' & Misal . Pohe is not fresh at all and not hot also.
Misal teast is also not good.
I highly recommend that this restaurant is not for morning breakfast.
Dispointed with the food quality.

Visited this place on Saturday. It was a really nice spread including hot pakoras and batata wadas, amrakhand, veg mix dal and some kadhi with options of steam rice and masala Bhat and chans papad. Chapatis were served hot. I liked it so much that I visited on Sunday again and let me tell you it was such a waste like all my fond memories are gone in fraction of second. They charge 250bugs for thali and they had some weird menu for Sunday’s which were no where to any kind of maharashtrian thali. I failed to understand why menu is fixed. For Sunday when we went there were hardly any diners. I understood when thali was served. They had some weird Dev bhaji with no salt nothing watery kind of dal, tomato Saar and some lentil curry in which there were no lentil. For sweet they gave karanji now for 250rs who can eat more than one karanji in buffet. Potato bhaji was full of oil and other gravies were loaded with heavy masalas. Starters they had kothambir wadi which were hardly chewable. I was so disappointed that it took me good 15mins to stop my mind from going away. When I complained the same to the cashier he was smiling all the internet and was saying that the menu is fixed irrespective of taste or combination of items involved. It was an insult of maharashtrian cuisine in name of thali. Rather than offering such thalis on Sunday they should keep the thalis off menu. I felt like they are trying to make some profit on Sundays as Saturdays are usually full coz of difference menu. I don’t know why is wrong with metkut. If people are not liking the menu on sundays u guys need to take it seriously else people like us will stop visiting. My experience was sob bad that next time I won’t ever come to visit your place.

You'd have to be waiting for your turn if it's a weekend night. Sometimes, even on a weekday, this place is bustling with people waiting to dine.
The food is prepared in an authentic Maharashtrian manner, and give a feel of home made food.
We ordered Aluwadi and kanda bhaji(onion fritters) for starters, both of which were scrumptious and served with pudina chutney.
For the Main course we had 'Patodyacha Rassa', 'Fansachi bhaaji' (jackfruit) & 'vangyacha bharit' (grilled eggplant preparation), with 'jwarichi bhaakri' (Jowar bhaakri) and 'bhajniche wade' (made from flour mixed cereal). The best dish was the vangyacha bharit, which had been rightly roasted and perfectly cooked with the right spices. The jackfruit bhaaji was a little sweet to taste, so it was a little dissatisfied. I tried the Patodyacha Rassa for the first time, and I did like the gravy. However, the steamed flour strips added were apparently little overcooked. We ended with chilled Solkadhi, which made it all appetizing.
Service is quick. Prices are extremely reasonable.
Do visit this place for an authentic Maharashtrian meal.
Pitts....
Name attracted me to this place. But taste wise, the place had really below average tasting dishes. The koshimbir (raita) had more salt than required, the varan(dal) had zero salt. Strangely they didn't keep salt and pepper on the table also. Masale bhaat was not at all upto the mark. Aloo of potato subji was undercooked. I tasted one of the most weird/horrible tasting kothimbir wadi here. It was anything but a kothimbir wadi. Only liked the tomato saar and taak here. Nothing else. Half hearted efforts overall. Didn't feel it's justify the price they charge for this sort of spread.

If your are fond of Veg Maharastrian food then you should must visit this place. Small sitting Thali plus Ala carte veg restaurant with good choices of gravyies and dry vegetables.
Last night we had two unlimited Thali's options. As it was our first time to visit the place that we were not aware of the keep asking and continuous serving the food. Serves many items Pakoras, 2 types of rice, dal one desserts, papad one dry and one gravy vegetable.
Taste was good enough but would more like to visit their another same name restaurant as its more well known for some more delicacies.

To the one who loves Desi Maharashtrian food, this place is a must visit.
Pocket friendly
Won't dig a big hole in your pocket and you will end up with a happy satisfied tummy too 😉

I have been to this place twice and my experience was great.

I have tried
Misal pav
They serve a subtle spicy version of misal which is midl spicy but tastes amazing

Kothambir vadi

All time favorite.
This was great.

Batata vada
I guess being a Mumbaikar I've tasted several versions and types of batata vadas and this outlet serves a crispy version of it which is lip smacking.

A must visit I would say 😬

Ordered my favourite dish sabudana wada alongwith gajar ka halwa and dudhi ka halwa a little late into the evening, while at a friend's place.

The food was neatly packed but without spoons. The wadas were crispy from outside. Dudhi halwa was top notch. Couple of pieces of dryfruits and nutmeg (jayfal) powder was the cherry on top. Gajar ka halwa was slightly unsweet for a sweet toothed person like me. It also had dryfruits in it. Quantity of the halwas seemed a bit less for the price paid.

Metkut serves authentic maharashtrian thali and they really excel at it! I am very proud of the fact that its crowded most of the times and people are enjoing the food which is simple, healthy and delicious.

All the items in thali are served hot, are upto the mark in taste. We had shrikhand which was out of the world. Mini batata vada was very good, varan bhat was also nice. It was the first time in my life when I paid for varan bhat and toop and it was totally worth it.

Service is good. Place is bit cramped so I would suggest avoid peak hours. Overall its a must try. Highly recommended!
Ruchisalunke
Worst restaurant I have ever visited, service is very slow wasted my 3 hrs in delivering only one order of misal pav. Very bad And arrogant staff, 0% on hygiene, all water on floors due to which one lady felt and staff called it accident and didn’t even jave manners to accept their mistake. Will never recommend it and never visit here again

As we were hungry this was an ideal place to satisfy our hunger pangs. Typical maharashtrian style food. Khotimhir vadi and batata vada nice and crisp. There was some blunder with one of the vegetable offered. Overall it was a good experience.

One of the places in Thane, where you can find Maharashtrian cuisine at its best.
We went in for a thali experience.
We were served with fresh hot Vadas, bhajis, papad.
Followed by 3 bhaji's and Cudi.
There bharlela vanga is delicious.
They have chapatis or bhakri and they are the softest.. I have never eaten a more fresh feeling and softest chapatis or bhakris outside..
Then comes the rice and dal.. also u can take in masala bhat... Or what ever is available on that day.
Sweets such as shrikhand, halwa and modak are also available.
All this POTBHAR! and pocket friendly!

just loved the food here, we have visited here 2-3 times & always liked the food here. especially their thali is amazing, nice blend of food items in thali.

I had just been at this place for dinner with family. But had a very unpleasant experience. Though the food was ok the restaurant manager was really rude. We had children with us hence it took a little long time to finish food as we had to first feed the kids then ourselves. The manager was continuously after us to vacate the table. Then he asked my sister to move to a small table which she did. But even then the people were not ready to serve enough food. She had to return empty stomach. Wont visit this place again.

Awesome taste of food. Must try halwa. it's very good. Service is on time

Really a better place to have a wholesome maharashtrian cuisine. They've 'thali' system. Everything put in the plate will give you amazing variance of flavours. And it's more close to the taste of home cooked food. Methkut is nice to go if looking for full meal and delicious experience. Take family n friends too. Definitely one of my favorites.

Metkut has started a new trend in thane. Its fulfilling the Maharashtrian food cravings of everyone. They have two outlets in Naupada Thane.

We happened to visit this place for Lunch in the afternoon to try out Maharashtrian Thali they serve. After 10 mins of waiting we got our table.

Ambiance: 3/5
Sitting are too compact as the area is small, they have wr written names of Various Maharashtrian Musicians but adding their few classical playlists on the music system can make the atmosphere more genuine.

Food: 5/5
Bhaji(pakode), Daal, Jilebi, Gajar Halwa, Taak( Butter milk), Masale Bhat, Bhakari each dish was tasty and had the local touch.

Service: 3/5
Slow and they ran out of few dishes after the first serving.
Apart from that Captain was helpful.

Cost for two : 500rs Only
We get unlimited Thali at 249rs only.

They keep on updating the menu on regular basis amd they do have the authentic taste too. Definitely deserves second visit.
Kalpesh Abhang
I have visited this place for dinner at weekend. I went at 8 pm so got tables immediately, otherwise there will be huge rush at weekend. We had a thali which was unlimited. thali menu changes every 2-3 weeks. food was awesome. they have 2 different restaurants. 1 for al-a-carte and 1 for thali.
they served paan after dinner.
Ambience is very good. Staff is very nice and co-operative.
Food was also good.. we have ordered one Kolhapur Bharali wangi . But it wasn't good at all . We informed about the same , they apologized for that and the item was cut from the bill .
Janhavi Patil
Small cozy outlet in a busy area. Reasonable for the price u pay (we paid Rs. 750 nett for 3 unlimited thalis) will give you a good experience if you want a traditional marathi meal. Staff is almost like your family that keeps pushing you to have more and keeps serving. Yum desserts. Place worth visit for a vegetarian. Not a lot of decor and ambience as they are keeping it more homely than grand, its a good choice for something different than all the western oriental continental and north Indian food we keep eating.
Aditi Iyer
This is pretty much a very late review that I am posting and this place deserves one.

Very few places succeed in satiating the crave to have ethnic cuisine, with flavours that match when cooked at home. This place matches the expectation of treating our taste buds to some Ghar ka khana- style food.
Have tried the variants on the menu, and the one delicacy I repeatedly order is the kothimbirwadi, boasting all the crispiness in the world, very light and not very oily. The main course favourites of mine are khandeshi vaangi bharta, paratleli bhendi, bharleli vaangi and a few others too. Their ukdiche modak and puran poli served with all the ghee you would like to help yourself are to die for. Do not forget to taste the coconut powder chutney and the Metkut put on your table in those small earthen jars.
The servers are very polite and know what their restaurant serves and very happy to take orders and suggest you and try their best to make you feel at home.
This is one place where you could order anything on the menu without much pondering because it is going to taste good for sure and is going to be pretty affordable, proving that you do not always have to spend a lot on good food.
The only con is the crowd. The waiting time to get a table is min. half hour but hey, it's worth it.
Ashish Patil
Disappointed. Non friendly maneger. Taste and variety is so-so. Simply it's a hostel mess type food. Now a days people do not prefer Shrikhand must have another choice at least. Give small size phulkas ,poori etc
Varsha Alimchandani
we had ordered misal pav, ukdiche modak, kolhapuri tambda rassa, kairi kanda and bhakri.misal was cold and we informed it to person, he immediately gave us hot gravy. which was really good gesture.
ukdiche modak were heavenly. they should also keep fried ukdiche modak in the menu, that would be cherry on the cake.
we left kairi kanda untouched, as it was something sweet, orange in colour and like a vegetable, instead of salad. my bad, maybe it was supposed to be like that and i expected a fresh salad ( since it was written as seasonal in the menu).vegetables in kolhapuri tambda rassa were bit undercooked. 5 minuits of more cooking would have made the dish much better.overall it was a good experience, quick service and good ambiance. Food taste can be improved.

I had my first breakfast of the year 2018 at this amazing restaurant.Visited this place with my family and we had ordered the following dishes.
Misal Pav, Bhajaniche Wade, Bhajaniche Thalipit, Tomato Omelette and Mix Bhajji.
Bhajaniche Wade and Mix Bhajji were the the best and are something you must try.
Misal Pav and Bhajaniche Thalipit were also yummy.
Tomato Omelette was just fine.
This place is a must visit if you wish to have authentic Maharashtrian cuisine.
Food - 4/5
Service - 4.5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Happy Munching...!!! :) _/\_

What they serve might look very normal and usual food for Magashtrians.....but I must say that they have their very own taste to all the dishes they serve.

Bhajani cha Dhirada and Kadhi is a must try thing here.

Fingerlicking food..very taste and yummy.

Authentic Maharashtrian vegetarian Thali..Batate Wade , Kothimbir Wadi, Tomato Saar, mugachi usal, Batata bhaji , sev bhaji,Poli , jwarichi Bhakri, sadavaran bhaat and Masale bhaat with Karanji...what else a Marathi veg girl like me needs!! Though I have grown up eating these delicacies , one tends to loose the roots in metropolitan Cosmo city amidst the wide range of Punjabi Italian n Mexican cuisines nowadays!!
The background instrumental music of old Sudhir Fadke classics jus added to my nostalgia..
One request to Metkut owners- Eagerly waiting for your outlet in Western suburbs.

I visited Hotel Metkut on 22nd September which is known for its authentic Maharashtrian Food.

Metkut has 2 hotels in Thane so I got confused and entered this hotel. I wanted to visit other metkut as it had other items liked Misal Pav, Usal Pav, Khichdi, etc. And the menu was A La Carte one so I can order anything from menu.

But after a while I realized that I entered a wrong one. But then I thought let's have a try.

Ordered 2 Metkut Thali. Straight away the service was very quick. They served the items on thali very quickly.

The thali looked very simple. But later I tasted the food and it was very delicious. Shimla Batata Bhaji and Aloowadi Bhaji was very delicious and tasty. Had nothing liked it in my entire life.
Halwa was very light and good.
I liked their Moong Wada and Batata Wada aswell with the green Chutney they served.
We were also given Masala Chass which was slightly salted and cold in taste. It was great too.
Moong Khichdi was good aswell which they topped with ghee on it.
The only thing I didn't liked was Koodpaaj Pitad as I am not used to eat that type of curry.

At the end they gave Sweet Paan which was good too.

The food was very simple, light, healthy and tasted well.

Taste : 5.0
Ambience : 4.5
Service : 4.5
Overall : 4.5

This place has nice Maharashtrian thali......
Making one of the vegetable curries more spicy and improving up a bit on the kothimbir vadi could make the thali more better.....

My in laws wanted me to try authentic Maharashtrian food and the first name that came into their mind was Metkut so one Sunday we decided to have lunch here as it was a Sunday and navratri festivities going on we ended up waiting for 45 mins for a table. So the expectations after seeing the waiting doubled. Once we got the table we ordered for Alu wadi, Cashew Vegetable, Amboli, Ghavan, Nagpuri wade rice and Solkadhi. Everything tasted good expect the rice as it was dry and the nagpuri wada was undercooked with no accompaniment. So overall the experience was nothing to rave about but actually disappointing.

It was typical Sunday morning in thane and as we all friends were bored to cook, we did swiggy from Metkut to try the place. It has been thebbest and the best and the most tasty breakfast ever.. just awesome joint to be tried on for breakfast. We had missal pav and watana pattice top notch. We had thalipet as well but not that crispy or tasty, need more improvement in that. Please try Metkut

Not really good Maharashtrian Thali. Advance booking done for 9pm but still we waited for almost half an hour. And after all this waiting food was really bad, only vada is tasty. Not recommend at all. Generally , i do not rate or post any reviews, but this one is really disappointing. So couldn't stop my self. Metkut please improve

My review has been deleted by metkut.
Poor food quality.
Hotel shafe has done his own experiments due to which tastes become worst.
In bhajani thaleepeeth -u will not get bhajani's taste.
U will jeera taste which is used extensively.
If u are hungry then definitely dont visit.
Ur money will get waste

Had been here today with a frnd for a late dinner. Reached late at almost 11 pm. ordered a plate of kothimbir wadi, it was just fried to perfection, was the best iv had till date. Had sev bhaji with chapati, It @was not very spicy but very tasty. To end it we had doodhi ka halwa which was yum, a lil sweet but very tasty. The rates are high for the Type of food offered but The quality of the food was very good. Loved it. Dint try much variety, but this is the place i would be visiting frequently. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely bland kothimbir vadi. The rotis served will be half raw 9 out of 10 occasions. A little bland food with overloads of oil. If they can improve in that then a good pick probably.

We selected this place to dine out with family on our dad's 60th birthday. Thank you Diwakarji, for managing the pre-booking for 15 people a day before and customizing the menu as per our choice for the day. The ambiance and hospitality was good. The food indeed was great in taste.. a complete veg, Maharashtrian unlimited thali was treat to self.. :) #Kothimbir vadi, Batata vada, Masala bhat was awesome. Thank you for the birthday greeting from Metkut Thali. We will surely visit again.

The most saddest maharashtrian thali I ever had...not recommended at all...
All 3 sabzis were just edible...no taste at all...batata vada n kothimbir wadi was the only good thing on d plate....
Ashish Nadgouda
Decent place. Serves traditional Marathi Thali. Food is not very oily nor over spiced. Pleasantly surprised to be offered chapati as well as bhakri. Tried both the breads and were good. Service was quick. Overall a nice experience.
Gandharva Purohit
Loved the Thali too . Also tried उकडीचे मोदक . It was OMG ! Great Taste. Price was worth the Quality as well as Quantity. Lovely Place for visiting with Family. Great and Finger-Licking Maharashtrian Food.

Been here today for dinner. Had the Thali. Personally I did not like the food. Reasons as per below
1. Just 3-4 items.
2. Not at all great taste
3. Felt like sick man's food. Bland
4. All this for Rs.250

I would any day go to "My Kitchen" restaurant opposite Malhar Theatre for the veg Thali (Check my past review). A million times better, tasty and economically brilliant place than Metkut Thali.

Hugely Disappointed.
Chetan Bane
All together its a better restaurant in Thane truly veg.
Unlimited thali system is nice idea but little expensive for veg.
Staff is very polite and humble which attract you to visit again and again. Changing menu is again good sign of variety of food....

I am totally impressed..as per his strong suggestion, I & my brother had dinner at this unique restaurant. One simply don't find such authentic & delicious maharashtrian food in any restaurant..pamper your taste buds at metkut if you are in thane!
Amey Ambre
If you are a Hardcore Lover of "Warhadi Food" then you no need to go Nagpur or Amravati Just Visit this Place. One of my favorite Restaurant who Located in Thane Opposite to Ghantali Devi Temple. No Doubt about food and food quality. Only the Think is that their is a Lot of Car Parking Issues.
Priti Risbood
Amazing maharashtrian food with superb service. Right from pickle to paan everything is so tasty. The best part is the way they serve the food I.e the typical maharashtrian way. The people out there will see to eat that you get the best service. Always asking if you need something. In rice they have option like फोड़नीचा भात and वरण भात. I loved their kaanda bhaji, batata wada, wangyachi bhaaji, kandyachi bhaaji, shri khand and mattha. After your done with the thali they serve you meetha paan too. they have special discount for small kids and senior citizen. It's a small place with just 6 to 7 people so you have to wait for some time though. If they increase the place it's a 5/5. Overall a good experience.

Bad food. The good food ( dal and rice ) was served after everyone was full....
Not worth the price.
The deserts were not served cold.......
