Review Tandoor Tawa Aur Karahi - Thane

I can still feel the sumptuous taste of Tandoori chicken and black paper chicken tikka, it was served with green chutney and mustard sause made with curd. We were welcomed with complimentary pani puri. Nice to have that. For main course, we ordered Chicken biryani, i was literally happy to taste real biryani after long time.

Ambience is good. Food is delicious. Specially tandoor dishes. Service is great. Complementary Pani poori was also delicious. They deliver in nearby area.

The food here is delicious and so fresh. Ambitious kind of mixture of desi and western. They provide copper glasses for water. Waiter service could be more better. I had a lunch here and also takeout. Both time I had great experience.

Nice ambience, Food taste is very good. Specially the tikkas , if you wanna try tandoori item please visit this place. We had veg manchow soup, paneer pahadi tikka, chicken lasuni tikka. Very soft paneer and juicy chicken .In main course we tried garlic naan with veg malai kofta curry. Curry is ok. Tikka are the best.

Its a good place for a quick dinner. They serve complimentary pani puri to all guests which is great. Their Indian ( Tandoor ) dishes are a must try. Even veg options are great.

I love this place because it has a vibe of musical inside with some love song's continuously playing. Feel likes there's a DJ who is playing this song's all the time. About the food it's delicious 😋 specially for Nov veg lover's it's great all the time. Staff are friendly in nature.

Place is located very far from the thane station to people from the locality mostly visit the restaurant but the service they are providing is excellent staff are very friendly and helpful. A hidden gem in the Godhbunder road of Thane, near suraj water park. I did saw this twice while passing Godhbunder road and wanted to visit the place because the name and the logo of the restaurant was very catchy. Finally one fine Sunday afternoon, I arrived at the restaurant and I was totally amazed to see how the place was set up. When you enter, you can see live tandoor grills and Chef working on it. I always love kitchen with transparent kitchen, that shows the hygiene level that is maintained in the restaurant. Then the dining area has amazing light set up and wall has nice vintage feel to it with some beautiful old photos hanged. The place is nicely set up, full marks to that. Coming towards food, let me tell you what I tried. Soup: Paya Shorba - Paya cooked for longer duration, all you get is a clear flavourful paya soup. I was expecting paya peace, which was not their but, still the flavours did the justice. Appetizers : 1) Chatpata Masala Papad Cone - Papad roasted and moulded in cone shape filled with sukha bhel. Thoughtful and very nicely presented. Good way to start of your meal. 2) Fish Tikka (Highly Recommended) - Tender fish nicely marinated with Indian Masala, lemon and Tandoori Curd spices and grilled in Tandoor. Lipsmaking and Delicious. 3) Jhinga Tandoori (Highly Recommended) - Prawns marinated with ajwain flavoured yogurt and garam masala then roasted in tandoor. Lipsmaking and Delicious. 4) Mutton Gilafi Seekh (Highly Recommended) - Minced mutton mixed with bell pepper, boiled egg and spices. Perfect as it should be. 5) Chicken Black bean sauce (Highly Recommended) (Chinese) - After try all Indian appetizers, gave a try to Chinese appetizer. It did not disappoint the palate. It was juicy and delectable chicken complimented well by the black sauce. Mains : Murg Dakshini (Highly Recommended) - You can feel the rich south indian flavours as soon as it hits your palate. Amazing gravy and delightful. Mutton Rogan Josh: Perfectly cooked mutton with perfect Gravy as a it should be. I would definitely recommend, if you are ordering any Gravy in the main then please try it with ULTE TAWA KA PARATHA. It's superb and rarely found in any restaurant. It a Hyderabadi concept of making paratha that is soft and delicious. Lovely and must try it. Dessert : Chocolate bomb with hot chocolate syrup (Highly Recommended) - I was willing to try few more desserts but, this dessert was so, awesome that I did not want to try any other dessert and change the taste of the palate. The chocolate was rich and highly indulging one. Loved it the core. Overall enjoyed the experience and hospitality. Would definitely recommend you to try it. It will not disappoint you.

Food is really delicious, especially the sarso da sang which was authentic although they are are famous for chicken Tandoori items. Also they serve Masala papad in an aesthetic way and this too is worth eating. On the top it, they surprised us with complimentary paani poori.

Tandoor tawa and karahi situated next to Suraj water park on service road and hence not very difficult to locate. The name itself is so catchy that one makes a point to at least visit once. While entering you see the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant and will be guided by the waiters towards your seat. Lighting and seating arrangements are perfect. Infact would like to complement the management about the single table seating arrangement which is very good and also consuming lesser space. Service here is prompt and serving time is also decent enough. Waiters are helpful and polite. Now the main and the important part : Food - ➡️since I tried the concept of shorba for the first time, i liked it. Tomato shorba and chicken kalimiri shorba were Yumm.. ➡️ Starters - paneer lasooni and aloo bukhara both of them were delicious. But I liked Aloo bukhara more than the other one. ➡️ For main course tried dal makhani with 3 different types of parathas - ulta tawa ka paratha, lacha paratha and paneer kulcha. All of them were good But they could improve on their taste and make it more crispier. ➡️And had chocolate ball with hot chocolate syrup which has dry fruits in it which was again good enough but the either the sauce could have been more slightly hot than served or the chocolate ball should have been soft. Overall a beautiful experience & would surely visit once again.

This is the best restaurant in ghodbander road for mughlai food.. I specially love the kabebs and biryani and curries here. We tried mutton galoti kababs with ulte tawe ke parathe this time and it melted in mouth.. it was a nice try..

Taste of food : excellent Food delivery time : within 1hr 10min we r done with starter and main course. Interior : Good Just restaurant look bit of congested but it will not effect your seating comfortability.

While ordering this restaurant offers you 3 quantity portions- standard, large and kilo. Even if you order large and pay for it, you will receive portion size of standard. The quantity of rice and vegetable is tooo less to call it large. I paid 350/- for panner tikka masala (large) and 400/- for dum biryani (large) but the food wasn’t enough for even 3 people. Taste was good but quantity is a huge disappointment for the price you pay.

Tried the Chicken Biryani (Kilo). Was impressed with the packaging. It's not your typical biryani, the method of preparation and ingredients are a bit different, it's an acquired taste. But good nonetheless. Bit on the spicier side, but I'm not complaining - I liked it!

Tandoor Tawa Aur Karahi are famous for their Mughlai and North Indian Cuisine. The menu was wide and finally decided to settle on Murgh Maharaja, Butter Rotis and Thums Up. It was a rainy night so delivery took 1 hour from when the order was placed. <br/><br/>The Murgh Maharaja was simply exquisite in taste. It was an awesome Chicken Tandoori cooked in Rich Medium Spicy gravy. The pieces were big, juicy and delicious. Gravy had an amazing thick texture with Kheema pieces, cream and whole spices. The ingredients used were of rich and highest quality. The quantity was a delight. <br/><br/>The stuff was hot when it arrived. The Butter Rotis were soft and went really well with the gravy. They had a good amount of Butter on them. The packaging for all the items was great. It made for one lovely meal and looking forward to trying other options in the menu already.

I’ve tried their Mutton and Chicken Biryani, loved them both! The quantity is good a little heavy on the pocket but still worth the quality! <br/>I’m a fan of the Bhuna Mutton! Had to throw almost half the portion.<br/>Butter Garlic Naan - Looks made from stale dough. Too rubbery and not good in taste.<br/>Dal Makhani - Watery, not consistent as per this restaurant's standard.<br/>Roomali Roti - This was good.<br/><br/>Will refrain from ordering till the current crisis gets over. Not sure what the challenges this restaurant is facing like fresh supplies, staff etc. Which is impacting quality.<br/>

The tandoori was really tasty....and ignore the Swiggy sticker as there may be shortage of Zomato packaging due to lockdown. But I really loved the Tandoori, chutni and the salad.

These place is at G.B. Road Thane it's quite nice place for everyone it has good supportive staff and service is quite fast it's been good place to hangout and for dinner is too good food quality in starters it's best and main course is also good you should try it

I had ordered crispy veg and the food was horrible. It tastes like the vegetables were fried in old dalda or some cheap sunflower oil. Not only this when i told the manager that it tastes bad, he started to say how can blah blah blah..and i told to cance

I have ordered so many times from this place and always the food was upto the mark. But this time i ordered chilli garlic noodles and it was very disappointing.. the noodles had less of vegetables and was just filled with green and red chillies.. it was so spicy that i couldnt even eat it after few bites.. please improve this dish. And make it worth eating for your customers.

It's was wonderful experience as we were searching for quite sometime for decent restaurant on Ghodbunder Road [Thane to Borivali route ] and couldn't find anything other than cafe or Chinese joint before this place for lunch.<br/>Place looked kind of lame from outside as it was just 2 PM & all the decorations weren't visible in daylight. But once we entered the place simply rocked our minds. [Would love to know history of this place as I noticed images hanged were of Nawabs & Nizams from southern India. Signs & places from pre-independence era]

Tandoor, Tawa aur Karahi as the name goes was quite a intriguing name as we stepped into the restaurant.<br/><br/>Serving north indian cuisine, this place surprised us with the food we ordered.<br/><br/>Called for the Tawa fish to start off. Tender whole fish marinated to perfection was quite heavy enough leading us directly to the mains.<br/><br/>Pepper chicken with Malabar parotta as a combination went well. Authenticity in their food is which it stood for. Coming back surely to try out other stuff.

Food was horrible

Not good parathas. Also i ordered two aloo paratha but they charged for two but gave curd very limited. There menu contains curd and pickle for one paratha each. So ideally they should provide two curds and pickle .

The place was amazing. I had an amazing experience there. The decor was nice. The ambience was superb. We had a lot of food. The quality and quantity of the food was good. The behaviour of each and every staff was appreciable.

I ordered the food today. Panner tastes like sour as if it was stale. I would advise to speak to the restaurant before placing order so that they deliver only freshly prepared vegetable.

This is not the same hotel which used to be 2years back served best Punjabi food.. No taste at all when today ordered 2 dishes and I have been experiencing these in last couple of visits..not interested to eat here again...

Tandoor tawa aur karahi it's really nice name . I and my friend both are ordered from this place . The food was on time . The packing of food was quite impressive . Tandoor tawa aur kadhai is the perfect place if you like north indian and chinese food. Some dishes that i tried were paneer tikka, special veg seekh, makhni and tandoori mushroom.<br/>Food is very and very hygenic also packing is very good as this is a delivery place.

The chicken lemon coriander soup was just perfect..not much zing of lemon and nice aroma of coriander..the consistency of soup was as i always like...not too thick and not too soupy. <br/><br/>Tandoori chicken was really nice. It had a different burnt charcoal flavour which went well with spicy tandoori masala...and yes they do not add colour to their tandoori..it was cooked well...just needed a few more minutes of cooking and it would have been more juicy and tender....<br/><br/>Look forward to try more on their menu..perhaps visit the place instead of ordering it...

Tandoor tawa and karahi is an exclusive outlet in the town of thane known for serving tempting food with great service and hospitality<br/>I had tried veg hakka noodles which was served hot and fresh with excellent presentation<br/>The noodles were soft and they were blended with exotic spices and chopped veggies<br/>I had great time here and their service was appreciable

I visited this place a while ago and the Ambiance was really good. The seating was spacious and comfortable. I ordered for chicken chicken salt and pepper. The dish was really delicious and the presentation was really good. The quality of chicken was good. Must try this for all chicken lovers. Must visit this place if you are around the area.

Personally did not like the Hyderabadi chicken. Although the Chicken tikka masala is delicious as the chicken is fresh but the gravy is the main culprit as it’s doused in food colouring and powdered masala giving it that unnatural colour and overpowering taste of synthetic boxed masalas, instead of an authentic flavour, it’s way too strong and upsets my stomach.

Tandoor Tawa Aur Karahi is one of the best places I’ve ever had Tandoor Tangdi kebab at. My friends and I went to try the kebab and biryani there. The food was very tasty and apart from that the service was very prompt and so was the ambience. This place is a must try for Kebab lovers ❤️

Visited Tandoor Tawa restaurant with my Friends for a lovely meetup and literally enjoyed visit there. Overall food was mind blowing and the ambience too. Tried -Chicken tikka masala ,Tawa Soya Chaap masala and Garlic Naan.<br/>Food taste was fantastic and it's 5 star food.
