Food was good but the service is really disappointed overall ambiance is good

We suddenly decided late in the night to dinr out on 14th and were super stumped with the amount of waiting at so many restaurants. Found this place luckily with little queue when we reached only to feel lucky later to see more queing up after us!😛 We got a table in 20mins. We were immediately seated, table cleaned and attended quickly. We ordered for a Veg Gajali ✨ which was supposed to be a mix of starters/kebabs like a platter. Once it arrived we were shocked to see the quantity!! 4 kinds of starters. 6 pcs each. Everything was yumm and we just loveddd it❤️❤️❤️❤️ 5/5💯 Next we ordered for main course, Veg Matka ✨ This we expected to be served out of original mitti ka matka but instead the bowl was just shaped like that 🤣 it was nothing but like veg handi curry but that said the taste was really really good! We even got it packed it home as there was sooo much! 💯 Amazing quantities The Naans and rotis were also very well cooked All food was warm and tasted fresh Loved the experience at rangla punjab 🤗

I am so delighted to say that the food and the staff was perfectly on point. Despite the restaurant was full! The food did not get delayed. Food was freshly prepared and tremendously delicious. I WONDER WHY THE RATING IS ONLY 3.9! the staff was very kind, the suggestions they gave were apt and turned out to be delicious. HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU SHOULD TRY IT ONES.

No good food and indecent staff with no hygine maintained. As we were trying for the first time were impressed with ambience and crowd. But later kabab (chk. shajan) was quite dry as well even main course (matka murg) was not tasty.<br/>Also staff is too slow.

Had been here for dinner on Sunday night. It was quite full and was able to find place for two immediately. Ordered biriyani and murgh sholey kebab as the waiter suggested . Both the dishes tasted good.

Rangla punjab is our regular dinning place since last 7-8 years... yesterday me and wife decide to have a Punjabi dinner as it was chilly weather in Thane... moment we entered the hotel at the gate,one capitan came he asked us how many people...we said 2 people...he said you cant sit in there ground floor...go upstairs...manner and way he spoke...got us the feeling he want us to be out...we left the place thinking we will not visit again ever...we do have good Punjabi options in thane urban tadka, northern tadka etc...

First visit to a much touted restaurant. Asked the captain if the tawa chicken had a tomato based gravy. He said yes. Ended up receiving a bland masala curry. On top of it the worst part was getting chicken cut which is the joint of the legs, a section which should never ever be served in a restaurant. Hence the 1 rating.

The manager is very polite, good taste and nice drink options they have.

I waited for a while before writing this review because I wanted to be sure about how I felt. I find it difficult to write negative reviews because I feel that it's unfair on the restaurant. Everyone has off days. But at the same time, they need to know when something is not right.<br/><br/>One goes to Rangla Punjab not only for the food, but also for the experience. It is the latter that was particularly disappointing.<br/><br/>The captain who was attending us had a very weird demeanour. He visibly frowned when we asked about some specific dishes, as if he wanted to actively discourage us from ordering those (and he was successful in doing this). Even while serving us and tending to us in general, his body language and facial expressions were extremely off-putting. His treatment of us definitely dampened our experience by sucking the joy out of eating.<br/><br/>Now about the food. This is a complaint that I've had with this restaurant for a while. Maybe I just fail to order the truly good dishes, but in the 2-3 visits I've made to the restaurant I've never been wowed. This time for example, we ordered a cream of vegetable soup (don't remember the exact name, but it was the typical 'cream of xyz' type dish). It felt like the cook had just boiled up a packet of Knorr and served it to us. The gravy that we ordered was OK, but nothing special for the price. The starter was a variety of corn cheese ball, don't remember the exact name, and that was the only dish that we really enjoyed.<br/><br/>The layout of the place is unusual to say the least. While the decor is beautiful, the seating arrangement can perhaps be improved. I was initially made to sit right next to the first serving and used plates counter on the left of the entry. The used plates and serving trays seemed a little too close to me for my liking. Surely, paying the price one pays to eat here is not worth if it feels as if one is eating in a self service type place with used plates lying around. They did let me change tables when I asked them, but it was surprising for me that they were oblivious to the discomfort one might feel when seated so close to used plates. Maybe they can just use a different kind of counter with taller sides, so that the food is not so easily visible.<br/><br/>In conclusion, the experience was not worth the 700-800 bucks I paid for a meal for two. Rangla Punjab can definitely do a lot better than this.<br/><br/>

We had crossed this place but never actually visited it until last night.. We were looking for a quiet family dinner and we weren't disappointed even for a minute.. The ambience is very pleasant with soft instrumental music playing in the background, just the way we love it.. A very nice hotel away from city crowded areas. Good is of great quality. Ambience is decent. Parking facility is better. Avoid going after 8pm on weekends due to rush. This place is good for family's and also for office parties. Cost is relatively high but quality too matches the standards. Ordered a veg biryani this afternoon. Vegetables were half cooked. When I called the restaurant, the person there was arguing with me saying those are boiled vegetables. What kind of service is this? Although the food tasted decent, seeing a rat on the roof (which might not be their fault) just put me off. In addition, the service was quite slow and the staff seemed undermanned.

This restaurant is ok. Although, cocktails and other liquors are served in time but overall service is not that good, takes too much of time to serve one bowl of soup. Food quality is good, but not upto the mark. Talking about the ambience, not so pleasant as even at 11:00 pm it is chaotic in there. Would suggest that this restaurant is only a one time visit.

This outlet is close to my house & I had been eating here for many years now. In these years, my go-to food was the Chicken Tikka biryani, usually I would order it twice a week.<br/><br/>However, some years back the food started to become inconsistent gradually plus the prices also started to go up. The place from the outside looks awesome and very inviting. So yesterday while passing by it, we thought of having our lunch there and walked in. The interiors were pleasing too. The seating looked fantastic. Clearly they don't take criticism too well and they made it sound like we didn't know much about taste. But our afternoon was royally ruined and we still were hungry.<br/><br/>You definitely shouldn't judge the book by its cover. Very mediocre place as far as the food is concerned. I hardly give reviews online.. But the quality of Rangla Punjab made me write, I order Chicken Manchow soup which was perfect not spicy and full of veggies and chicken, another dish was Rawas Tikka again I would appreciate this fish was just melting in the mouth no need of using your teeth so tender so fresh plus not typical frangrance, fish was definitely a soft water fish. For main course we had Chicken. Matka which was equally mouth watering and quantity was really great. would visit again 😊

Rangla Punjab has been our go to restaurant any time we wanted to order food at home. The taste has been top notch since the last 7 years. Yes I have been eating food from this place since the last 7 years. I have never been left disappointed. The staff is very courteous too. The place has been renovated according to changing times has not left itself behind with the competition without losing it's charm. It definitely is a must visit. You never know it might become your regular too.

The food was good. But service and attitude is very poor. Almost everything was served cold. Which actually killed the flavor of the food. Even something as basic as steam rice was served very cold. Music was unnecessarily loud.

We went to the lounge of rangla punjab which is above the restaurant. The ambience is chic with modern decor and Bollywood theme. Had tandoori prawns, butter chicken and butter roomali rotis. Food was lip smacking. Specially the butter chicken, it was one of the best I have had so far. Overall nice place to chill with friends.<br/>

Rangla punjab is here since my childhood I guess. Shifted places but taste remains the same. Like to spend time here with family but since many new better options have started here visiting here has been less. Still memories here of some family time have been great.

Just a ok sort of restaurant. Ordered paya soup but it tasted like dal ka Pani. After that we ordered chicken matka and what the hell, I have never seen any Punjabi dish with Shimla mirch. It tasted like some kadhai paneer with sweet gravy. Service was good but disappointed with the taste. Not sure about visiting it again .

located in manpada, Thane west, had heard a lot about this restaurant, went there with family today, ordered 3 masala papads, when i had the first bite felt something strange, other people also felt the same, then one of the ladies smelled it and and the tomatoes were stinking, told him to take it back. had a chicken manchow soup which was ok, chicken lollypop and paneer pahadi both were good. for main course ordered chicken amritsari, veg bhuna and dal tadka, all was good bur nothing gr8. for desert we ordered rabri, which was bland and left a bitter taste on the tongue, mayb the milk was spoilt. called the manager and told him to taste it, he was like its tasting fine. Average food - no way justify the pricing they have kept<br/>Service - one of worst<br/>Ambience - always matter, yet the average ambience with posters of some dialogues mimicked from Sholay movie aren't good enough to justify the delay in serving orders for 30 to 40 minutes & yet not having any feeling of sorry for the slow service

its a punjabi restaurant so had high expectations.....had less money so didnt go for soup and time pass papad....ordered some biryani which was okayish and half tandoori....the meat felt dry so 1*

Let me list down what all we ordered - Chole, lahori kofta, noodles for the kids, veg raita,masala papad,rice and dal makhani and gulab jamun.<br/>Perfect punjabi taste to all the dishes served here.<br/>On request desi ghee was topped on rice and dal makhani.<br/>Lahori Kofta and Dal Makhani topped the list.<br/>And not to forget the dessert to end the meal with Gulab Jamun. Hot and tempting which will definitely make its own space.<br/>The interior are classy and gives it a rich look. Definitely a next visit to this place.👍

An ideal restaurant to visit with a family to relish Punjabi food. The food tasted delicious 😋 . Portions of the food good🍛. Courteous staff💁‍♂️ Light music🎶 and pleasant ambience🍽️. All together created a lovely dinning experience.🥂

paneer pasanda was the worst

Rangla punjab is good for families and corporate groups also.<br/>As upstairs there is huge place for groups.<br/>High Volume music upstairs.<br/>Food is average, tried kali miri chicken ,it was good.<br/>On and on average.

Mutton rara was nice. Lassi, Dal Makhani were not up to the mark (these being the basic Punjabi food/beverage). Quality of food should be improved to match up to their prices.

Visited in person and ordered online. Good place to eat.

Very poor service. Jal jeera takes 30 mins. Fish fingers hasent come even after 45 mins. Mr Jagan who we are told is the person incharge tells us that thr fish finger will take further more time. This is after 45 mins of wait.<br/><br/>Very sorry state of service. Staff not at all well trained.<br/><br/>Best to AVOID THIS PLACE.

The online menu does not gives a description of what will be offered. Called up restaurant and they said we have paneer kadhai etc but the same does not shows in online menu. Ordered for paneer chatpata and what we got was paneer bhurji which was tasteless. In all a complete waste of money if it comes to vegetarian food.<br/>
