Review Krishna Sweets - Thane

Dipesh Gandhi
Nice place to try fast food. Offers various delicacies Indian and international. Must try cheese paav bhaji & 5 cheese pasta. Place is little small so it might be difficult to find table during weekends.
Supriya Sharma
This eatery is situated in the heart of Panchpakhadi. Mostly it is over shadowed by it's neighbour Prashant corner but it sells equally tasty snacks and sweets. I had a veg mayonnaise Sandwich here recently and it was very tasty. It has a wide range of sweets and fastfood options. It's mostly famous for its lip smacking samosas and jalebis.
Abhay Bahad
It's a good place for having snacks with fare prices and good quality products, This shop is beside Prashant corner. The seating arrangement is very less due to low space. Panipuri and chat is fantastic, Punjabi chole samosas are with great taste with lots of oil layer, Maisur masala dosa is quite good. Other than this sweets are also good with fair prices. It's a good place to visit n enjoy the snacks and sweets........!

So we celebrated Gudi Padwa by getting Aamras from Krishna Sweets Here we got some snacks & chaat items too In which we got mini vadas, mini samosas, Humsafar, amercian dollar, american roll, punjabi samosa & many more All were tempting hot & tasty Would recommend for humsafar Later on we had shev puri which was full heavy because of the quantity of items Do check out video on YouTube channel -Travel Foodie Tiku
Nadeem Dabilkar (Prince Naddy)
One of the best place in thane for eating Chaat. They have many varieties of snacks and sweets to offer. Place is maintained near and clean.
Nitin Bidikar
Had a Pani puri...Rs50 and it was nice. If u want a akkha moog then not the place to go for Pani puri..they have the ragada and something else as filler...puris were not so great ...overall the taste is fine but I prefer Prashant Sweets.. probably unwilling to consider anyone else for Pani puri
Rohit Malabade

Krishna sweets of Panchpakhadi has a lot of snack options and sweets. The very one dish I love it from here is their samosa I have been a regular visitor for their snacks and samosa.

They made amazing sweets. Best place for sweets. Their rasmalai and angoor basundi you must try. This time I ordered jalebi, rabdi and malai sandwich which is so tasty. Jalebi with rabdi is such great combination ❀️❀️

I got these sweets, they were so tasty and fresh. Worth it it also had slice of dry fruits sliced and placed at the top of each sweet which made it look more appetising. Worth it.
FoodHooverzz
Ordered Jalebi and Rabdi- Jalebi was nice- crisp and well fried. Rabdi was ace! Totally loved the combination of both.

Badam Halwa- I thought this is gonna be something really fun but it turned out to me the halwa cubes which was quite depressing. It didn't even taste great.
Aakash Baviskar
I went in Krishna sweets, during holi week to drink thandai...as one of my friend suggested me ,so I went. I went there and I had a bit chat with the guy there. He told me that they have been making the thandai there for 20years . They have there own special masala. The thandai was so refreshing, I could feel the essence of their spices. The thandai there is too good and even we tried jalebi and fafdaaaa. They were also awesome.
Alisha D'souza
A perfect get away with chat and all the yummy street food with an add on of quality and clean service provided. Jus an happy hour for u n Ur family. One bite n u enjoy the different flavours.
Videsi Foodie
What an amazing fixture this is in Vandana Society in Thane. I love this amazing store in this quiet lane as a power consumer over the past few years. I recommend strongly having the samosa - the special green chutney he makes is one of a kind, that I have not seen or had anywhere else. It really builds up the quality of the food. There are some places on the opposite side of the road to sit and enjoy a quick bite and getting on with your day.Β I have never really had the sweets much here - so will update the review when I end up having those
Himanee Sanaye
Has lot of variety in sweets and snacks items. They maintain hygiene and are value for money. The extra star is because they are part of social work and distribute free food every Sunday to the needy. Very good shop who serves Samosa and Dhokala quality in a good quality as well as hot.
Adv Angel Singh
I recently visited this plate for Chat & once before for Dosa, both the items are not worth it I tried two types of dosa n 3 chats n all were nt tasting good! Infact this chat was a big disappointment.

Welcome back to the food review everyone and i hope you all are doing absolutely fine.

I was in thane last weekend and i went to this sweet shop as i wanted to buy mawa ie used for making sweets.

But when i entered i found a huge spread of sweets specially bengali sweets.

So the foodie in me could not resist but took some pieces for home.

1) Badam chaap:-
This is the classic bengali sweet which has badam and cherry on top with the malai sandwich type base.
This one is just too pleasing to the eyes and also the taste wouldnt dissapoint you.

2) Malai sandwich:-
This is the patent bengali sweet you find at any sweet shop.Just simple sweet square shaped malai snadwich with proper sugar syrup and softness.Just the perfect sweet dish for all times.

3) cham cham:-
They have these 2 to 3 types of cham cham one with reddish colour and other in yellow and green. So i opted for the yellow flavour cham cham and it was good with more of chenna and less of sweet.Obviously a slightly different taste than malai sandwich.

Verdict:-
This place is a hidden place in thane as its not as famous like prashant corner or bikaner sweets. But i must say that this place is definitely for sweets with bengali sweets with good taste and price of about 30rs.
They also have good jelabi and good snack items like samosa, dhokla and khandvi.
Well doneKrishna Sweets the spread and taste is too good.

Follow me on
Zomato link :-https://zoma.to/u/2296590
Instagram Id :- kinidipak
Mob no:- 9920243266.
Email id:-dipakkini@gmail.com.

We had a big Diwali party and ordered veg cutlets from Krishna Sweets, Panch Pakhadi. The mistake we did was not tasting a sample.
The cutlets were so spicy that nobody could eat. We felt extremely uncomfortable with guests at lunch and nobody eating the cutlets.
The entire lot had to be thrown in the dust bin.
I guess only there sweets are good. Be careful with your bulk orders.

Located just opposite to the Thane station this place is crowded all the time. I tried their snack items: Humsafar and American roll.

Humsafar-- the name itself made me curious to know what's there in it. But as curious as I was the more disappointing I got. The cute little thing has samosa stuffings and outer look is like karanji. Nothing extraordinary. Green chutney was fresh.

American roll-- crunchy outside and soft inside. The American roll's outer cover is made up of bread and inside again it's more over like samosa stuffings. We can say a Indian bread pakora given an American name.

I was in a little hurry, so couldn't try sweets there. But definitely would visit again to explore all of their sweets section.

I have been here many times... The quality of food is good... Variety of sweets etc. Easy to locate and reasonable rates... My favourite dishes are khandvi, samosa, sev puri and dahi sev puri...

Krishna Sweets from Thane West is very near from Thane Railway station. I went there a year back. I tried few snacks.
:
1 ) American Roll - it's a soft mixture inside , rolled in bread & crunchy from outside , deep fried in oil. They served me this with green & sweet chutney. Taste was ok. Not so good.
:
2 ) Hamsafar - second Snack which I tried was Hamsafar. I was so curious with the name why they put a tag of Humsafar on this dish. So I ordered one piece of Hamsafar. It's a Snack dish only. Outer covering is like Samosa.. but the inside stuffing ws different.. & also with different shape.. they served me this with green & sweet chutney. Again the same taste was okiesh.
:
This place is near from Thane Railway station. So bit crowded in evening time.
I have been here many times. Kinda fav place for Mumbai chat. The pani puri, sev puri chole chat..everything is tasty. Yes the place is very hygienic. Also they have different varieties of Dosa. Tried Maggie cheese Dosa which was good and reasonable.
Bhagyashri Manjrekar
You will tastey chaat here with amazing garnishing with lots of variety.
They have there outlet near Thane station also. You can grab some chaat there too.
I have been to their Thane station's outlet, Panchpakhadi's outlet and at an outlet near nitin company. Their chats are pretty good and dahi puri is amazing. I love their small wooden spoons which they provide. It's normally bigger in size so that one can avoid spilling their food. The sugar free dryfruit is pretty awesome which is made in dates and lots of dryfruits. Have tried their kandi peda (somewhat like mathura peda) which is great and you can't just stop at one. They don't have a wide range of chhena's (cottage cheese) but whatever they make is fresh and very delightful. The ambiance is pretty soothing and the place is neat and hygienic. They have made a mark in very less time and is proving to be a hotspot in thane city for their sweets and chats.
Ag_cbd
Tasted their food at send off party in office. Customised box with samosa, dhokala and gulabjam. Dnt remember name of one item. Package was good with "save girl child" message on it. Food was tasty. Looking forward to try different items at their store

This is my first time visit in Krishna Sweets . And here we tried some malai sandwiches type mithai and all the sweets are really good in taste πŸ˜‹ . But among all those PAKIJA is just awesome 😘 .
Gaurav Biswas
It actually a good place and pocket friendly when you're hungry. They serve amazing chaat, Pani puri, chole samosa, etc. But the place is always over crowded. There's not even a single place to stand for a second. Service is quite moderate. Not satisfied with their service.
Kajal
Krishna sits right beside the insanely famous Prashant corner and still has managed to thrive well. The place is clean and food fresh. Rates are decent and definitely lower then Prashant.

Anjeer barfi and Angoori basundi are our personal favourites from Krishna. They do keep on experimenting with seasonal sweets and pretty much excel at it.

Chaat counter here has grown massive along with the dosa stall which churns out a huge variety of dosas at good prices.
Swarni
One of the best place to have bengali sweets. :)
You get it always fresh and the sweets have a nice authentic taste.
I recommend :
Motichur laddoo, Malai sandwich, Samosa, dahi kachori.
Beardandcurl
This sweet shop has been in place since a long long time all though overshadowed by the glittering neighbor it is catchy in its own way .. with staff well versed in their job you get a lot of variety here .. must try their Rabdi , sitaphal barfi, kandi pedha..
keep up the good work guys πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Good place near by thane station, to have various food dishes. They have some inventive food dishes. I had American dollar, as suggested by my friend. Made of potato n panner, good in taste with sweet Chutney
Smeet Visharia
Waahiaaad burger its actually a burger without cutlet, they put potato in place of cutlet in burger it was the first tym i had tasted such kind of burger
Vanilla Reviews
Nice sweet shop. Wide array of sweets. You can't resist stepping inside this shop the moment you see their attractively designed exteriors. And the interiors? Even better! Try everything over here but stay away from their panipuri counter. The service over there is horrendous, with a rude staffer serving it. I even found a hair in the last puri. I'll deduct points for this only.

In sweets, I tried a gulab jamun and a bengali sweet. Both were very good in taste. Overall rating: 2.5 /5.
FOOD CHRONICLES By RUCHI
Tasty delicious yummylicious fresh ...IF u want to try The best snack items do visit here... I have almost tried every snack item here n I Wana give a taste review 4.5 /5 .Itz the oldest shop and have many branches..

Rajmata ,gajanan, kunjvihar these all outlets are highly rated for no reasons....they don't use the flavours n spices in a right manner...I don't know how ?? How can somebody eat vada pav n other stuff of these outlets...looking at the yellow gooey chutney I don't even feel to go n buy and snack item here...seriously not at all good...

I have been there 100 times but today have just ordered some samosas as parcel... N wana give my reviews ..The best part is always u will b served hot snacks n fresh one unlike at diff places u don't get garma garam spontaneously..Ryt??..

But if compared here talking about a simple CRUNCY SAMOSA..

u will find blend of all d spices n flavours in ur mouth...the crispy outer layer wen took a bite u will realize dat yes itzz a pure mixture of flour n oil together..den the stuffing inside has good amount of aloo wid various spices ...chillies cashew pudina tinge n many indian flavours..yummy

Chutney is also good but only the free one coz meetha chutney is like a mixture of honey so not worth having meetha chutney

I have tasted every item ...higly recommendable dishes are Samosa chaat, every type of chaat, bada pav, dhokla,starters...

Cost effective ..full o hygeine n full of taste...
Aditi Shinde
I will never suggest dis place to anyone for having chaat.. Went here on suggestion and was totally disappointing.. Pani Puri was okayish.. Dahi Puri was horrible.. The dahi tasted weird ..too much sour.. Service is very slow v had to wait 15min for dahi Puri as dahi was finished.. Dat man serving went somewhere and came with a container of dahi and den served us. No comparison with other brands in thane serving chaat from years..
Indigenous_foodie
The Best Jini Dosa in the city as well as Best sweet shop and probably their red chutney is good to.The rating I have given 4 because the prize of the Dosa and the urging arrangement. But overall it is good
Pooja & Poorva
This place is a snacks and sweet shop and outside the shop they have these food counters setup.. I have tried almost all of their chaat items and the one which I would recommend the most is samosa chaat..its really really very tasty and will fill up your stomach coz its loaded with generous amount of dahi!!! Their sev Puri and papdi chaat are also good....i was not so happy with the pani Puri but overall a nice place for chaat lovers in city...

Good place for getting sweets.
I had taken box of 50 sweets for my dad's 50th birthday. Staff was very helpful they choosed best ones for us and packed it very well.
They have vast range of sweets and farsan items.
Located in panchpakhadi this is great place.
They also have chat and other fast food items outside shop which offer good food.
Chetan Panchal
Krishna sweets as the name suggest is a sweet shop not a resto, anyways it is on Zomato and I will review it for the great sets they serve and rasmalai is very very yum!
Prince Naddy
awesome place for chaats, we just love the different chaats being served there
the taste is awesome, quality is very good, quantity is also good enough, clean and hygiene maintained by those making it.
parking is a bit issue as it is a busy area but somehow i used to manage and park in front of the shop.
pricing is also as per the food.
recommending the dahipuri which is served chilled.... superlike.
Khaati Peeti Kudi
Heading for dessert after meals? Then Krishna is the place for you, coz apart from their mithais which are delish, they also serve achingly sweet chaat to satisfy that sweet tooth. Case in point: the dahi puri and dahi kachori, that could easily be mistaken for shrikhand puri and kachori, coz that dahi is so damn sweet!
I mean I know many of Mumbai's establishments are run by Gujjus who tend to sweeten many dishes, but you can't serve Gujju-fied chaat in the name of Dilli chaat! Here, if you ask for teekha kam, the servers make it meetha, and vice-versa. Duh....whatever happened to the 'khataas' that chaat is supposed to have?

To be fair to them, their paani puri is surprisingly balanced in its flavours and the pudine ka paani is actually tasty. As are the dhoklas and the khaman. But the chaat has always been a let downer, not just in taste, but also in quality (the sev puri on multiple occasions was stale with stinky tomatoes). I see they've upped their prices because they continue to attract hungry hordes, but have they upped the ante in their quality? Sadly no.

PS: I recently went to the station outlet of Krishna Sweets (they aren't on Zomato) to buy some dhokla, and asked the cashier how much 5 pieces of the same would cost, to which he suggested rounding up the quantity to 250 gms, making it 7 pieces of khaman dhokla. I was charged 60 bucks for those 7 pieces, but at home, I was taken aback to see only 5 pieces in the box. When I telephoned the cashier to report the same, he replied that even though I had paid for 7 pieces, the weight of 5 big-sized pieces may add up to 250. But these 5 pieces were strictly medium-sized (see pic), and I think this was a rip-off. Not expected from a brand like them.

Source of food poison , please avoid it for your health.
We Ordered dahi kachori but, to our surprise as everyone praised this place, kachori was bland. Curd was sticky. Despite of being kachori, it wasn't crisp. Couldn't figure out what we were eating. Just waste of time and money. To add by next day we all got loose motions and vomiting.
Unfortunately we don't have negative rating for feedback so rated 1.

So this review is comparison based.Comparison with the very next door Prashant Corner. Krishna sweets is a good option if you are bored of Prashant. It's been quite some time since we had a good sweet shop in thane.
Chintan Mistry | The Hungry Engineer
Krishna Sweets located close to Thane west railway station in Panch Pakadi area is a busy chaat, farsan & sweet shop where people are flowing in and out every minute. Cant say much about ambience since people just pay, stand inside, eat and walk away.

Visited this place twice during my recent visits here and tried some of the amazing fresh and piping hot farsans. Chaat counter is there too.

Dahi puri tasted amazing and looked appealing too. Samosa chaat was equally good. Khamini/Khandvi was the highlight. Amazing freshly made khandvi just melted in mouth. Highly recommended. American Roll which is basically a bread roll with veggies inside was decent too.

Overall this place is quite popular amongst the locals and regular train commuters. Very good option to drop in and have snacks before catching up a train!! Cheers..!
Anish Mungekar
Nice spot to have snacks at evening... Coming on sweet u can c so many varieties.. Including bengali sweets .. Gujurati sweets.. Maharashtrian and much more.. Price is quite enough... All sweets are fresh.. Andcoming on snacks must try delhi chat , chole pattice, and kachori... Overall quite impressive place
Noor UL Mustafa Khan
Best snacks spot in the evening. Just located at the busiest shopping center in Thane West. I will have snacks there whenever I goto shopping in Thane. Wada pav is the msp of the place. Other snacks like sev puri pani puri dahi puri is also good. Ambience is crowded and need to stand and eat. Quality is well maintained.
Karan Bhingare
One of the best Bengali mithai and overall mithai places in town. It's chat and snacks counter in the evening is definitely worth trying. The pani puri and sandwiches are some of the highlights.
TheForkplay
This place is much much better than prashant, when it comes to sweets. They are perfectly priced and always fresh. The dosas which are served outside are amazing, one such dosa is Zini (Jini) dosa. It is the best Jini dosa i have ever tasted. The chat here is also good yoi should try dahi kachori here.
Tushar
One of d better namkeen n sweetmeat shops in town and also d only real competition to d ever popular Prashant Corner shop located just adjacent to it.
The range of sweets, chaats, namkeens and other goodies tht they have is mind boggling !
Jalebis r fresh n juicy, kachoris r tasty n savory and the rest of d stuff have to try.
D sweet kachoris for fasting or upavas r nice n very filling.
Staff is helpful n service is gud.
Amrutesh
it has a separate chaat section which can be described by one simple word: awesome.

i have tried almost all the chaat items they serve here and have loved everything. the chhole samosa is NOT for the faint of heart and it is so spicy that some find it difficult to eat the whole plate. the dahi- items are simply amazing.

they also serve some of the best samosas i have tasted.

in the sweet section, try the rabadi, or any of the barfis.
Tanuj Arora
This is a sweet shop located at Panchpakadi where there is/are food at a canter. Have been visiting this place since quite a few years. It is pretty much like any other sweet shop however very hygienic and professional. Their Jalebi's and Dhokla's are worth dying for. Its worth noting that there is another store called Krishna Bengali Sweets in Thane and there is no connection between the two.
Aishwarya Kamath
Chole Samosa & Chole Kachori is the best thing I ever had and this is the only place to have such a snack/dish apart from sweets. Service & ambience is ok. Good place to hangout with friends.
Rahul Jain
It has various chats, dosa, sweets. In chats you should try dahi puri which is so tasty the dahi is very thick and sweet you will like to have more n schewan dosa so yummy delicious n samosa is also yummy n hot
Neha Khanchandani
Awesome food when hot......sexy guju foods chat is also awesome and good quantity avaliable near thane station....I am a regular customer....

I am regular here and I stick to bengai sweets. I don't like their farsans and snacks and I have complained about their bad staff and stale snacks. However, that will not stop from rating them good about their bengoli sweets. I like rasmalali, rsohgullas, gulabjamuns and rabadi's and basundi's. Guy who handle this counter is nice and polite man. I also like their Krishna peda which hides a roshgulla in the peda. They running towards being overpriced but I am still shopping at their store for bengoli sweets whenever I am in Thane
Mayur Patil
It's like a never competition when it's next to Prashant's Corner. But why I went here was coz the bhel puri and all was closed at Prashant's as they said at evening only. Hence I came here and got Samosa Ragda and Ragda Tikki. The thing that blew me away was the quality of the Ragda, it really had a nice masaledar taste to it. I'm definitely visiting here for sure.
Umang Thakkar | The Vegeater
There are two joints almost adjoining,Krishna sweets and prashant.
Prashant is usually crowded but krishna sweets does not disappoint you with its food.

The chaat, the sweets, everything is good.

You can have a proper meal at β‚Ή150 for 2. There is a dosa counter as well which is also nice.
Family prefers Krishna;)

This time my order was SUKHA BHEL, CHOLE TIKKI and RAJ KACHORI that was brilliantly made with perfect combination of rice puffs, farsans, diced veggies like juicy tomato, onions and chopped tangy raw mangoes with a hint of lemon for Sukha Bhel. Chickpeas in brown gravy with a little usage of oil and mild spicy in nature making it the ideal partner for aloo tikki, which were made crisp by deeply frying it in ghee. Raj Kachori tastes very different from what you normally eat. Big crisp kachoris were shred apart and were filled with the right kind of spicy and tangy chutneys and light farsan and topped with sweet beaten curd, thin yellow sev and chopped coriander leaves to give the best snacking experience ever .

SERVICE:
==========
Service element is strong here and scores a good point with quick and efficient service. The people at the counter are courteous and wearing a good smile. My order was packed within few minutes and a polite request made by Sachin (a captain) to click his pick as well as he makes the perfect dish for people to relish.

PRICING:
=============
Pricing is unbeatable as per the taste, quality and quantity of food. We paid Rs. 175/- for 2 plates Chole Tikki, 2 Raj Kachori and 1 Sukha Bhel. There is no Tax Structure applicable.

AMBIANCE:
===============
It is basically a sweet shop which has utilized it outer space for serving delicious snacks item. So the area is divided in to two sections, one where you can shop for sweets and the entrance where you can sit on plastic chairs and can have your favorite evening pastime. The place is clean and hygienic, but being little bit open it is slightly attacked by flies. It has a spacious and comfortable sitting for individuals as well as groups.

CONCLUSION:
==============
With a huge variety in sweets and farsans and In spite the tough competition from one of the well known snacks center in the neighborhood, this place has sustained the competition with its qualitative product offering. I would say it is a great place to savor delicious snacks and also sweets

SUGGESTIONS:
===============
A] Try an include Pav Bhaji in menu

B] Make some organized seating arrangements, as I felt sitting was comfortable but not well managed.

****************************Our SOCIAL MEDIA Presence **********************************

Hit Like on our Facebook Page /weekendmasala

Follow us on our Twitter Handle @weekendmasala

Check out the most tempting Food Photography on instagram @weekendmasala

A nice good place for catching a quick bite. Recommended for evening snacks especially as they offer a wide variety of snack items ranging from different styles of dosas to different kinds of chat items , wraps etc. What is even more good is the taste and quality of the food that trumps above all. It is right next to prashant corner at panchpakhadi and often gets overshadowed by its popularity with the public crowding there. But personally if you ask me, I found Krishna's snacks way more appealing and tastier than prashants. A must try is their dahi Puri. With oodles of cold yoghurt oozing down from the crispy fried puris with each bite leaving you wanting for more!! Definitely worth a try. Whenever I am in that area..i always make it a point to have a quick bite at Krishna's..and yes i never go without having that dahi Puri ofcourse. βŒ’.βŒ’
