Review Biryani House - Thane

We ordered chicken dum biryani and it was absolutely flavourful. Texture of the rice, the amount of spices, doneness of the chicken everything was just perfect! Totally fell in love with the biriyani. It tasted just like Kolkata biryani. Must must try if you are a biriyani lover.

Have had biryani here few times and had a shwarma recently. Everything is delicious just wish the shwarma had a bit more of chicken.

Briyani House is Veg and Non Veg eatery at most famous place @ Viviana Mall in Thane West. The food joint is located on the 3rd floor at the food court area of Mall. Dine in & take away options are available.There is common sitting area. Mall is 4-6 KMS from Thane railway station, around 2 KMS from Majiwada fly over.. During weekends expect a 10- 30 min wait time for your order and queue as well while ordering your favourite dishes. Tandoori items are also available here. I had ordered one chicken Tikka , Chicken shawarma. Both were amazing in taste. Chicken Tikka - mouth melting Soft and tender pieces of chicken with green mint chutney, loved taste of it 👌👌 Shwarma - Filled with chicken and veggies with right quantity of sauce.. Quick Service,

Best biryani ever. So flavorful. Also service is very fast.

From the name, Thought must be best in the industry for chicken Biryani's but not very satisfied. Ok prices are digestible, and so is the appearance. Then the fault was found in the packaging, Oily, Leaky And spicy.... Which suggests that the failure in the masala marination. If no other choice attracts you on a particular day, then once in a while can be tasted. They have got non veg thali options but less in quantity and expensive as well. It is one of the most crowded among food courts in Viviana, Thane.

Very good place specially for non veg lovers. Veg is also good.

I tried 1. mutton kheema rice- mutton kheema was mixed with plain rice. The taste was ok. It was not upto the mark which I was expecting from them. They also provided papad and raita.<br/>2. Mutton biriyani- I liked it most. A perfect combination of mutton and rice. It's aroma and taste were fantastic. They also provided raita with it.<br/>Overall I would not recommend this restaurant because if you are paying so much and compromising on both taste and quantity then it is of no use. One can compromise quantity but taste not at all.

Went here casually for some biryani...and I was blown away. <br/>We tried the chicken dum biryani perfectly spicy, topped with crispy onion for texture. Really good quantity for the price (two people can feel properly full in one)

The experince was different from other shawrma outlet.<br/>They serve different varities of shawrma.<br/>The quality was top notch but quantity as compare to prize is different. Their is self service and you have to eat in food court of viviana. They have different shawrma in different style. Tasteless biryani, chicken not tender n fresh, v chewy, rice not cooked properly. We had to throw away most of the food as it was not possible to eat.

Tried the boneless chicken biryani. Before ordering I asked the chef if it would be a made to order dish, as i did not wanted to eat from the display, on which the chef standing on the counter said yes. Hence i went ahead and ordered one. Since it would be a made to order dish, i was expecting a waiting time of atleast 8-10mins, but to my surprise, my paging device started ringing in the first 3 mins. Tht time i realized that the biryani served was already ready and kept in the hot case they have inside their kitchen, if not in the display outside. Talking about the taste, it was good, only if the chicken quantity could have been more as i was served just 3 medium size pcs. The rice qty was way too much. It comes with a small portion of raita. The sweet lassi ordered was nice and thick. Overall an average experience and i dont mind coming back again.

This place is one word: CANCER. Just look at that gravy!!! The food(Cancer) is clearly cooked by a bunch of utterly disinterested Venomous snakes. They are either underpaid or overpaid to kill people with their hideous cooking. And all this after I specifically mentioned I need a well prepared good quality food. This place is viciously unhealthy and only ones with a painful death wish should ever eat here. POISON! ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY. Also quantity is VASTLY insufficient considering the price. Copy pasting this review in every digital blog/foodie review place that exists in Mumbai. Will make it my life’s mission to ensure no one EVER orders from here.

I tried biryani house ordered a chicken dum biryani and it was pathetic! Firstly it had no chicken, only a few bones secondly too spicy to be called a biryani!! Now coming from Kolkata and having spent a good amount of time in Hyderabad, I will not call this anywhere close to a biryani. Wastage of money

Best kebabs in the market.I bet you that you would not have tasted such kebabs in India.Chicken Lasooni kebab completely melts in the mouth. Kebabs are must try without a thought.<br/><br/>

Have been a big fan for a long time. Fine biryani. Less oil, a blast of flavour. The same goes for their kababs as well. But lately have been delivered very salty food. The biryani as well as the kababs. And trust me i am the kindda person who is usually likes good amount of salt in my food. I hope they are not hollowing their food given the popularity.

I have ordered takeaway and they have charged for containers as well. It seems they expect customers to carry containers to take their food. They are even charging for the plates. It too bad of an experience from such a good outlet in Vivian. A big NO for this outlet as the food is also not that great - just average.

Quite fine place to spend time here. We didn't had any idea about how the fish tikka would taste but it tasted really good and highly recommended. Chicken Pahadi was awesome. Seekh kebab was average. Biryani was really lipsmacking. Loved how it the chicken and rice was complementing each other.

It was really delightfull when you are a biryani lover and all you find is great Biryani and kebab. We had Fish tikka. Soft and tender Rawas was really really tasty. Chicken seekh kebab tasted a bit sweet but loved with salad and pudina chutney. Chicken Pahadi is spicy kebab with lots of flavour dripping off. We also had Chicken tangri Biryani combo. All was fine and up to the mark. Will really visit very soon.

We had the best time eating one of the best biryanis in Mumbai! We were so enchanted by the smell of the biryani that nobody bothered taking a picture! You can taste each and every ingredient due to their distinct flavour! I ordered a Boneless Chicken Biryani Combo Meal. This comes with a side of Gulab Jamun, Chaas and Raita. I would say, not the best biryani that I’ve had, but for ₹310 such a huge plate of biryani with these sides isn’t a bad deal at all. The taste was great, like basic restaurant style biryani, also the Gulab Jamun was really up there! <br/>Their service was super quick, I got the order within 2 minutes. <br/>Super impressed. Highly recommend them.

One of the worst places to order Butter Chicken. What they gave in the name of butter chicken was some tandoori chicken pieces in a watery gravy filled with masala . It tasted as if someone added a teaspoon of sugar to it as an afterthought . <br/>Worst butter chicken ever ! Please don’t order this dish from them

Had Butter Nan with Kadai Paneer and Tawa sabzi. The quality and quantity both were too good. One of the best options in Viviana food court if you are looking for good quality and quantity Indian food.

I had ordered the veg biryani in the morning. The delivery seemed to be on expected time.<br/>The biryani was served piping hot.<br/>Being a delivery order the ambiance factor seems to be missing.<br/>The veg biryani comes along with raita.<br/>The top layer is covered with whole grain rice which seems delicious. The lower layer is filled with dum or mix veggies.<br/>The pieces of veggies can be more small instead of entire lumps of potato and cauliflower.<br/>Overall an okay biryani to kill your hunger cravings.

Was in a mood to have Biryani and tried one at this outlet.<br/>The experience was simply disappointing.<br/>The Biryani taste was missing.<br/>The Biryani seemed to be dry.

I have ordered chicken duck biryani. Pieces were good but it was way too oily. The oil was floating on surface which killed my appetite. Also it lacked authentic biryani flavour.

The name ‘Biriyani House’ will make us think the place is specialised in Biriyani, ordered a chicken handi Biriyani which costs 240/- plus 12/- GST. The food was served in reasonable time but to the greatest disappointment, it was a collection of rice, chicken pieces, some masala well arranged but not cooked into Biriyani. They had all the ingredients cooked separately which was just kept in the plate and served.

So from such a vast options in the food court i came to this place after getting confused taking a round of food court as everything what i found was familiar this was something different so i decided to dig in.<br/><br/>So firstly before taking menu i was able see shawarma so already i was ready with my order then went through the menu and it had really interesting and some special dishes<br/><br/>So i ordered for a shawarma as my mind was already into it. Then what exited me is butter chicken and naan. And ended with a gulab jamun and lassi. Food over here have some special indian spices and flavours which enhance taste the lassi is okaish rest everything just blowed out my stomach with happiness.<br/>Highly recommended when you are fallen to relish some indian food or shawarma.

Honestly I loved their biryani before they closed for renovation at Viviana. Yesterday I ordered a rice and Goan chicken curry grin their menu out of curiosity. What they served was a yellow coloured sweetish curry with barely any chicken pieces in it. Plus, Goan chicken curries do not have curry leaves in it, neither are they yellow in colour. We also ordered a seekh kebeb shwarma which was not very great too. I'm sad to say this. A big no to anyone who even thinks of wasting money on this outlet post it's renovation.

The staff is not courteous. Order delivery time is very long. For 3 rolls they are making us wait for 30 mins ! Probably their preference is for higher value order it seems. After 30 mins. Waiting time they serve BLAND Chicken rolls. No way this Bhuna Chicken is BHUNA ! Atleast prepare food worth the money and wait. Certainly not going to visit again.

I ordered for paneer makhani roll, highly disappointed with the quality of the roti. It was uncooked, the roll was cold on delivery. Quality needs to be improved. Paneer was ok.

The chole bhature was also tasty. The chickpeas were perfectly cooked in a onion based thick gravy.<br/><br/>Quite happy with the quality & taste offered. Will definitely be back for the biryani soon.

Well. Its a late review but i feel it will help someone to not to try and why not to try. So here it goes with further ado. The food sucks. I ordered Cholle bhature and when u r famished yet not able to eat.. that means the place is really not worth it. The jeera was so roasted that it felt like stones in cholle. Bhature also didn't do anything which can be talked about. Hope they work on their food and serve at least decent if not out of the world food.

Today when I went to Viviana and thought of trying Biryani from Biryani House, I was utterly disappointed and pissed with the way they behaved. The guy below in the pictures was the cashier and the one who took the order. I order a subz Biryani. We waited for 25- 30 mins to get my order and in between I also went to him twice to ask that how much more time,to which he said 5, mins. Atleast he was too late for us to wait and we finally asked him to parcel and also showed how disappointed we were about the whole episode. He was just not professional enough to say sorry. To add to all the mess already created they gave us a Thanda biryani. When we asked him why so and that you after waiting for more than 30mins?? He did not say anything about it. Instead the other guy was reheating the biryani and giving us(even that was taking ages). A simple sorry or a gesture would have sorted things I guess, but, this guy had no shame at all. Finally I asked him to return my money and he gave it back. I am surely raising this issue to mall authorities.

I had a terrible experience with this place and it was a big surprise too. Certainly didn't believe that they would compromise quality.<br/>I ordered kheema pav and the bread had mold underneath. My family was there too and even the kids ate it too. We noticed it quite late. We told them and you know there's an English word for every problem... SORRY.<br/>I'm sure they weren't sorry and that they served the next customers the same stale food. <br/>The kebabs didn't look fresh and the biriyani was average.<br/><br/>Advice to management: Please don't compromise on the quality of food to save some bucks for yourself.

Food served here is ok on weekends and good on week days. The appealing part is they serve you exactly the same way we ask for.Since it a part of a big food court..so there is stiff competetion.

I bought 2 chicken roll from biryani house worth ₹140 each and I never had before such worst chicken roll in my life such trash place in Viviana’s food court even the along side of streets shorma will offer at ₹60-100 but biryani house chicken roll had no taste and quality at all

This place has some of the best chicken biryanis I've ever come across. It's tasty, easy on the pocket and the taste remains unchanged every time, which is a good thing. I've never tasted anything other than the biryanis here but I'd be willing to bet that the food isn't half bad as well. My main gripe is the amount of chicken actually in the chicken biryani. I wish they'd put a little more chicken in.

I liked the outlet ...Had Non-Vej meal ...Butter Chicken gravy...Delicious ...I liked the sweetness and very mild spicyness of Butter chicken ...Gave a typical Butter Chicken flavour ...but daal was ok with mild spicy ness and its taste ...enjoyed the Jeera rice ...also naan was soft and good ...although I didn't liked the quantity of the meal with the budget provided ...but the service was good with the ambience in the mall ...I would love to try other dishes at sometime ...overall had a good experience ...would like to suggest other people to definitely try this meal if they visit Biryani house ...its absolutely worth with the quality of food ...but quantity is not affordable for your wallet ...quite simply it has best quality but decent quantity !!

Very 'POOR' quality stuff...Had mutton biryani as a takeaway. Mutton was not cooked at all. I saw people queue over here in such a big line. Are people really eating this shit stuff and not complaining. What smelt like a biryani was actually a pulao. No long grain rice even although it was cooked well. (for those who know what actually a biryani is and the ingredients will get what I say)That biryani was floating in oil. I write this review while having a nice big glass of hot water. So much oil can kill somebody. Change the name of your biryani to oil biryani and not mutton biryani. Maybe this is how you prepare your chicken biryani too.Thought your chicken biryani must be good. But after I saw all that oil I realised that I cant go back here for biryani especially. Guys a word of advice: PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH AND DO NOT HAVE THE BIRYANI AT THIS PLACE. IT CAN LITERALLY KILL YOU. Please also change the name of your outlet to something else but not biryani house as you are a total insult to Biryani and Mughlai food in particular.

The biryanis and the meal combos are amazing. With freshness surrounding the food, it definitely is a must eat out joint. The kathi rolls are also amazing and delicious.

Had the combo meal!! And it costed just 280₹ it was filling good quantity and good taste!! Fesh food soft roti❤️ a must visit !! They got a lot of varities in biryani!!

If you are a biryani and kebab lover you must hit biryani house which is at food court of viviana mall... I tried kheema pao which was tasty and delicious... They have combo meals also which includes a proper meal in just 250-300 bucks

For me its like "Agar viviana aaye aur Biryani House nahi gaye toh kya khaak viviana aaye" 😋 It is famous for its combos, variety of gravies, kebabs and Biryanis. <br/>Chicken biryani, kheema pav , kebab and butter chicken roll are my all time favourite items. I ordered Chicken Boneless Biryani this time and thought of reviewing it.<br/><br/>Basically Chicken Biryani is one of the most complicated rice dish in indian/mughlai cuisine. And the Biryani House totally masters it. The boneless chicken pieces were well marinated, cooked to perfection and mingled really well in the rice. The traditional long yellow biryani rice had the right texture and was cooked well with all the required spices in it. Fried onions generously put on the biryani totally compliments the biryani. The flavour and aroma of saffron was amazing. To offset the spice in the biryani, plain raita with pinch of chilli is also served.<br/>It has got the right amount of flavour, lovely texture and ofcourse absolutely lip-smacking taste.<br/><br/>Biryani House.. A standstill spot for every biryani lover. Great experience and looking forward for more.

The seasoning is proper so it tastes ok. But when it comes to biryani I didn't get a feeling that I am eating a biryani. Just curry and rice mixed together! Hope to taste more biryanis next time.
