Review Raafae's Dastarkhwan - Thane

The food was undoubtedly excellent, both the taste and quantity met our expectations. The seating arrangement was comfortable, and the ambiance, while okay, could be improved. They offer a Thali, which is a fantastic option when dining with friends and family. However, I would recommend arriving early, especially on weekends for both lunch and dinner, as the waiting time can exceed an hour, as we experienced. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Visited today for lunch with family. very good ambiance. seating was comfortable, the staff was friendly. the food variety was very big. the food quality was excellent. the food portion were very good. a place to visit again with family and friends.

Today, we visited the iconic restaurant in Mira Road, "Raafaes Dastarkhwan," renowned for introducing the concept of dastarkhwan in Mumbai. We opted for their Shahi Nizami Chicken Thali priced at 3333/-. The Thali included over 10 items, complemented by a cold drink. The taste of each dish was exquisite, with perfectly balanced and flavorful ingredients. The Thali is substantial and suitable for a group of 6 to 7 people. For those eager to explore Mughlai cuisine, this place is a must-visit, offering reasonable prices and exceptional hospitality. A definite recommendation!

One of the best restaurant in Mira road and Bhayandar If you like long drive Arabic ,Lebanese Turkish and mughlai dishes then definitely this restaurant is for you Ambiance is good Food are very delicious And if you come with group they had lots of thaals in budget You can come along with family They had a one separate room capacity 50 people And best part of this restaurant is a live music You can tell them your favourite song then singer will sing a song for you. Amazing restaurant for family fine dine. If you want to order Nizami Special Thali [Which includes mutton] you need to pre-order it, call 1 to 2 hour before coming. It's worth the wait.

We ordered Chicken Hyderabadi Biryani and Chicken Chat Pata Kebab from Raafae's. The kebab came with a pouch of green chutney and shredded salad while, the biryani came with raita. Both the dishes had a good taste and the chicken was perfectly cooked and succulent. The quantity was too less for the price.

The Ambience was very comfortable and good, tough there were a lot of people but we still got to eat comfortably without any disturbances and the waiter was everytime around to serve us, The Thaal was very Delicious filled with a good variety, I think they should Include a little more number of Soups to it, I Loved the most was White Cheesy Chicken Dish with sweet pasta like gravy, Every thing was Awesome, It's a Place worth visiting again and again.

The thaal options are really good . Not that expensive all the items are very well cooked . Tables are bit small however they have dastarkhwan sitting arrangement as well over all if you are in Mira Rd or near by u must visit this place even the parcel that they give is good

Amazing place for a family. Satisfied with quality and quantity. Great service. I appreciate the efforts they are putting for their customers. The waiters were all wearing masks the whole time. I really really appreciate their hardwork. The food was on time. Slow music playing in the background creates the happy atmosphere for the customers. I would recommend this restaurant to all the foodies reading this review. If you stay in Mira Road, do visit here. 😊 10/10

Good non veg food . They have different different types of food. Lots of verity, testy food. Biryani is awesome. Just I feel quantity is less of all dishes. Little bit overpriced . But overall its a good experience, seating also something different. Everyone should try one's.

Worst Manager I have seen ,the one who stands at counter specks one.......Order was late and on place change request due to Fan not working he asked us to leave and just not bothered to arrange ...Talked to us in very bad manner and misbehaved very rudely........Worst service ever I have seen. We went there at 8:15 After 8:30 got to sit and that too by our self.. No Body was bothered and then ordered something which was not yet delivered till 10 pm almost one and half hour.....

I ordered Hakka Noodles, Manchow Soup and Veg Triple Fried Rice and to my surprise it tasted amazing and they take care of all the precautions and delivery was on time..

The meat had gone bad didn't accept this kind of service. Regretting ordering from this place.

Chicken special nizami thal was yummyyy and mouth watering the food plating was so amazing those tandoori roti with butter and chicken platters was so good..butter chicken even chicken rolls was mouth smashing with lots of cheese and those spices was so good and perfect...even the quantity was also good..i think raafae's dastarkhwan worth it

ordered 2 Non-vegetarian kepsas,one Chinese and other regular. The chicken pieces in them had a foul odour because of which the entire dish was ruined, I'm sure they used stale leftover chicken. We had to throw away both kepas as they weren't edible.On informing the restaurant, they just had a F You! attitude saying mistakes happen.<br/>Also just went through the reviews of other guests who have ordered food online post lockdown are really disappointed.<br/>

I would never ever suggest anyone for this place..if you really have to save your tummy trust me this is the worst to worst to worst biryani I ever had in my lifetime. When I took it back for complaint they were making us quite by saying 1 in 100 customer aise ho jata hai..so that the others would not know they replaced the food even that had a foul smell of being rotten...it is just famous dnt know due to what..but it has the worst servings and food dat I come across in my lifetime..that also at a cost of 1650/- save your tummy and pocket too.

Ordered Murg Makhanwala. The quantity of this item was too less for Rs.300 a portion. It tasted too sour. Overall a very average experience. Battiarkhaanas serve better butter chicken for half the price. I feel Borivali Biryani center could be a better bet for this price and product.

So today is my mom's birthday so I thought suprising her with this very famous special Nizami chicken thaal from this restuarant. The food arrived and firstly it was cold so we just ignored it by saying theek h delivery aate aate thanda hogaya hoga then when we started with these starter and roti and with the taste we realised that the food is Stale but still some how we ate it but after that worst thing happened that is rice was actually stale and spoilled whole 2 boxes of rice was spoilled and it smelled so bad. <br/><br/>I immediately called the restaurant and asked them to do the needfull because of course I paid rs 1800+ for the food. At first the person was trying to convince me that it was fresh only and was not ready to take it back and told me to come and return them but then I got a call from them and they exchanged fresh rice with the spoiled ones.. <br/><br/>But really really disappointed and my 1800/- is literally wasted. I would never ever want to order food from here. <br/>All I want to say to the restuarant is that please please never deliver or serve stale food. Please do check before serving..

Highly disappointed with Rafaes as it is one of our favourite place for platters. As you can see the colour of the soup, it had ample amount of soy sauce in it as we guess. Though the taste was nice we couldn't have it because of overpowering taste of it.

Tried dhaba thal wasnpprox of 2K by price and I can bet that it wasn't worth even 500rs..there was no chicken ...just bones and cream...the biryani given with thal wss like having boiled rice<br/><br/>After that tried prawns butter masala and belive me they served 6 small pieces of prawns for 280rs<br/><br/>Ill suggest you to not to even think of trying..their food sucks and the most expensive comparing all other restaurants in mira bhayander<br/>

I tried the most famous chicken nizami thal which really gives a pinch of mughlai thal inclusive of chicken starters, 2 main course and thal surrounded by Rotis. Tastewise this is the best that i have liked in here. Chicken kepsa rice is a big no no as it is more like a fried rice served in huge thal don't go for ut. The wonder happened with the lollypop as so less of Schwan sauce that you could eat half of it I tried calling to ask for some more once I placed the order but they fail to send still if we are ready to pay...I don't know where does this come from when we need something just send it...I suggest take care of your customers or someone else will...

The Dish: The Special Chicken Nizami Thal comes with 18 pieces of kebab, 2 gravies, 3 Naan sliced up and a whole biriyani sprinkled with cheese to feast upon. It serves about 5 members, is delicious and of good quality. The kebab are soft, tender and tasty but the gravies could've been better. Went there and waited for like 45-50 mins, gave the order, after going inside, waiter comes and tell us after 45 mins that the order we placed is not available. Secondly he says, your order was not placed in the first place so you have to order again. Plus his behaviour towards us was so rude. Worst experience ever.

I’ve been here to this place for two times just to have their famous thaal’s! And trust me it was worth to go here.. it’s good if u go in groups coz the thaals are too big.. we were like 9-10 people together and one thal was sufficient for us.. Pathetic customer service. I ordered take away and was waiting for the order till the time i thought to pay the bill soo the person who was on the counter told me that they dont have change it was raining heavily and he was expecting me to go somewhere and get the change i told him can we use card soo he is like so will charge you 5% more due to gst. The food ie kepsa which we ordered was having some dish which were sweet and ehich spoiked the whole dish and after that the waiter refused to serve the dish inspite of that we insisted but still he refused after that we started serving it individually and it was worst the sweet dish were almost all of them and when we asked the waiter that why is it sweet he says that in one plate 2-3 dishes are sweet everywhere so we said you should have mentioned us these things before because usually this thing don't happen at any other outlet and we didn't even complete that thing half beacuse of that sweet taste worst experience..

The experience with the restaurant was extremely unpleasant. They have 2 section of sitting. 1 section accomodates groups while other section is where 2diners can sit. We were just 2 people out for a meal & the section they lead us to was extremely untidy & unkept. It is not at all clean or maintained. After a point we spotted small cockroaches & small fleas running right on our table. Which was such a unflattering experience. I just couldn't gulp my food down. After sometime a waiter comes & places some mixture in bowl on each table which reads poison do not eat. Found out this was some cheaper home remedy in place, to keep away mosquitoes. But who would enjoy a meal with a pot stating poison right besides your food. We even pointed it out to the waiters about the cockroaches & untidiness. They just heard & ignored. When we flagged it off the hotel manager he simply heard & didn't believe till we showed him photos. Even after that all he did was gladly handed us over the bill.<br/>Being a foodie this is one of the worst dine in experience. The local food stalls visited when I travel have been more upto the mark even in remote areas than this dine in amidst the city. The experience made me sick & the hotel management was least bothered.

Please do not order during Ramzan. Due to high flow of order the quality is very bad. Ordered some baida roti and received maida roti. Non- Veg lovers won't be disappointed not sure about veg. I have rated as 4 star because the ambience needa more improvement and renovations. Tables and Chairs along with mattress needs replacement. Okay! Now this restaurant is for real foodies... One of the best indo Arabic food I have experienced over here. Chicken chilly , chicken roll, Baida roti, shawarma was just amazing over here. If one is going with family or friends then must definitely try out their Arabic thali. It comes with 6 different starters and gravy and Chinese rice. The ambience is also comfortable and peaceful. Not only me but my friends also tasted it and they liked it too. I couldn't eat it alone.<br/><br/>Food was amazing but i was disappointed by the delivery. Delivery boy delivered it almost 1hr late. I guess that was not because of time taken by him to deliver it but i believe it was due to delay in making.<br/><br/>But overall i was happy with the taste , quality and quantity of the food. I would have appreciated it more if i would have received the food on time but nevermind i will be more than happy to order from this place next time.

Worst place ever visited in my life! People here lack etiquette’s. I was here with my parents and the owner of the place couldn’t even bother to look up and talk. We all the way came from andheri and this guy won’t even bother to give us a table or talk to us properly.

First of all i came from Jogeshwari to Mira road to eat here, i made calls and was told I'll get seats. I reached there, and there was enough space for my family in the restaurant but they didn't offer us seats and asked us to wait. We waited for an hour there was still space available , so i asked the owner how long will it take he misbehaved and talked to me very rudely. Couldn't believe the owner of a restaurant can do this. Never coming back here. Very misbehaved, unprofessional staff and owner was rude.

food is ok. but staff and owner are just too rude.. they ignore you and very delayed service and behave like they are doing favour on us. very unethical service

The only thing to try is nizam thaal .. rich in boti and taste .. you need to be a lot patient when it comes to serving .. waiting on holidays is an issue with wait time more than 20min . Staff needs to learn more about hospitality .

Special Nawabi Chicken Thaal.<br/>A platter that is not only beautiful but equally tasty. It's a loaded tray (Thaal) , with no space left. There are maybe ten different items and each is unique in taste, though might look similar. BBQ items are hidden beneath the small triangular tandoori naam pieces, so the best thing to do is to first takeoff all Naan triangles aside and watch for few minutes what to eat first. The Centre is loaded with Biryani, which had lot of masala and very less rice. If we can have additional Biryani rice 2 portion then you are done with Biryani for all.<br/>The platter cost 1500-1600 Indian Rs and is good for 8-10.<br/>The tandoori Roti fall short in quantity and needs at least 6 ea more to consume the tawa, and the butter chicken kind thick masala... Mild spicy, thick and heavy.<br/>Everything was amazing to taste. But my favorites were soft brown colored chicken pieces, with some creamy texture and Green chicken pieces. Another star was crispy rectangular rolls pressed hard flat with cheese chicken... As per menu pics I guess it was Baida Roti / Egg roll.<br/><br/>Haven't had a platter before which had everything equally tasty.<br/>Don't forget the deposit of 500 to be added to the bill for the tray. Don't mess it up by hurrying to return the tray immediately on delivery, you won't enjoy the varieties. Fun is when everybody sits together and enjoy the platter in the original Thaal

Raafae's Dastarkhwan is located at #miraroad & this place has won my heart. The Chicken Nizami Thali has everything Ive ever loved about chicken - #juicykababs , #deliciousspringrolls , #spicygravy ,#butternaan.. #MugalaiFood will have a complete different meaning once you have experienced this.<br/><br/>Nizami platter can serve up to 8-15 people depending on what size platter you order. The staff here are friendly and suggest right, seating arrangements here are less but comfy and the overall ambiance is satisfactory. So no reason why you shouldn't visit 🙂

One of the best place in mira road to dine in.<br/>I had ordered chicken Nizami thali and it was as tasty and beautiful as it was presented.<br/>Ambience was good and hygenic.<br/>Staff was good.<br/>One thing I like about this place is its seating style and tandoori chicken.<br/>Awesome place.

DISCLAIMER: LONG POST BUT WORTH A READ.<br/>Food taste is undoubtedly good but the main point of concern is the ingredients used....I had ordered CHICKEN LOLLYPOP MASALA DRY and after having it the colour remained in my fingers for one whole day eventhough I had used hand wash....so one can think what impact it may have on our health....sadly the hotel owner(Slim guy) does not entertain any customer request and has his own logics for non acceptance, one instance is I had ordered CHICKEN CHOPPER RICE and after the colour incident I had a request that I would prefer white fried rice in it instead of red ..but the owner rejected me by giving a VAGUE clarification of saying there's no one to communicate this request to the chef as we are loaded with N number of orders...this is the customer treatment by the OWNER....this was my experience and it's not that I have some personal grudge but it's just to make aware both to the management as well as customer

So we went over here by the recommendation of my foodie friend Flavors.adda. It is located in Mira road (E). The main attention and famous was the thali, so we have ordered Chicken nizam thali 😍 it is starter thali and it includes tandoor, hara bhara kebab, springs roll, chicken egg roti, chicken tikka masala and some few other items. This thali can eat by 5-6 people. All the items are delicious expect one starter which was little sweet. Then we order yummy chicken chatpata kebab, it was well cooked and was very good in taste. This place highly recommended for the non veg lovers. I rate this restaurant 4/5<br/>Cost is also reasonable.

Ordered chicken shorba (soup) from Raffaes Dastarkhwan...worst ever soup had till date...no salt no chicken...it only had water...bad experience...
