A nice restaurant with good food n ambience. We tried a lot of chicken and veg dishes here and were happy with all of them. Chutneys are something they could improve on.

Best place for Indian foods. I didn't like Mutton Biryani though. Rice was sticky and had too much spices. Rumali roti too don't order without butter as it hardens in a few minutes.

Taste was superb, food was of good quality and ambience was also lovely. Kishore Kumar songs were playing in the background.

Northern Tadka interior showcase excellent vibes of the Northern part of India, Good Ambience. The restaurant is located in Viviana Mall , Thane West on the ground floor, Wait time was approx 20 Min on Saturday night.. Food served was hot , We had ordered Veg and Non Veg Starters and both were equally good in taste and served hot. Main Course Day Special gravy of dish was good while chicken was not juicy and was dry.. Price is $$$. Liquor is also served here.. Starter and Main Course Food was served in correct pace... This place is mostly occupied at the evening time. The walls have a crafted design of flower and musical instruments placed on the wall. Pleasant experience.. Yes. Will visit next time and recommend to visit Northern Tadka... Thank You..

If you are looking for a place to eat authentic Indian food this is the best for it.This place is located in Viviana mall.It has a nice ambience and atmosphere.You can go for either lunch or dinner. I went with my colleagues for lunch and we had dhuaadar Murg Tikka in starter and it was tasty on to the point and the price was also good . And I also had Chilli guava mocktail and it was good and price was also good. In main course we had Jhinga biryani and the taste was very good but it was little spicy and I found price higher as compared to the quantity.

I visited Northern Tadka last Sunday. Overall experience is good. Food is value for money. Service is up to the mark (you need to wait for your food). Atmosphere is good. here you can enjoy your food with 90's songs. Quantity of food is good and sweet dishes are good. This place provide Beer and liquor. There are happy hours and sometimes you get rush in the hotel so please speak to hotel before going to dine out. Superb hotel...👍👍👍

This restaurant is located at Viviana mall ground floor. We went there for dinner with family. I felt the seating arrangements were very congested. The taste of the food was good, especially the prawns in the platter. The service and staff was excellent.

Great food good ambiance, hygienic service.. Located right on the ground floor of the most famous vivanna mall it’s something you cannot miss.. There food and desserts menu is limited to northern dishes only as the name suggests, I would have loved if they had some good chocolaty menu for desserts but the famous Jalebi Rabri from northern tadka is something you don’t want to miss, the Jalebis are crispy and yummy so it a must try. Due to limited menu availability is the reason dreamfoodie rates this a 4 but love this place good food at reasonable rates..

If you are looking for authentic North Indian cuisine and delicious food this is the place to be. Nice ambience and service. Had a great time with family. Paneer butter masala was really great in presentation and taste, Top class! So many items in the menu will surely tempt you to eat more. And staff will make sure to pamper you. It was such an great experience in this restaurant they are so much humble they have the best ambience, food quality, hospitality they serve some authentic North Indian and mughlai foods I would suggest you should go to this restaurant atleast one time you will definitely love it and its kinda cheap and expensive at the same time.

Value for money is good. No Chinese dishes available. Must try is Cheese rolls. A place where you love both Veg & Non-Veg

Nice ambience. Food was also quite tasty and filling. Quantity is fairly good. Non veg platter was good.

The food was amazing. Went there for a team lunch and enjoyed the starters. Especially the veg collection is too good. We tried a few mocktails and non-veg as well which was delicious. Would definitely recommend the Harbhara Kebab and the Chicken Tikka Masala. The Rabri was great with both Gulaab Jamun and Jalebis.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon. After climbing Yeoor Hills had built a voracious appetite. Nice Ambiance, ok ok service, piping hot and tasty food. loved how the vegetables had a smoky flavour. Usually I am not impressed by restaurants in a mall and prefer stand-alone restaurants. However this one is really nice. Worth a visit.

Northern Tadka leverages the elegant North Indian Cuisine across vegetable and meat. Had ordered Gulati Kebab and Tandoori Chicken for Starters. Both them were dry as I have tasted in other restaurants they are juicy with ghee flowing out but this was very bland relatively. Had ordered roti ka tokri for variety of Indian Breads which includes several types of naan, kulcha and roti. It was great. Out of the Two gravies , Butter Chicken was amazing and Peshwari Chicken was as horrible it is. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant because of the mixed reviews.

It was the worst experience. Food was totally disgusting & tasteless. Quality & quantity both were rubbish. Food for served cold & chicken wasn’t fresh. Service was pathetic. For single order they took 30-35min to serve. Staff was too rude, mannerless & arrogant. Don’t visit. Totally wastage of money.

This is one of the restaurant one must try ❤️ They have a really great ambience😍 The food is too yummy with a perfect taste of north India. We had ordered Dahiwale Kebab which were crispy from outside and had a curd filling inside which were too yummy. Also tandoori mushroom and babycorn were simply amazing. The main thing to enhance its taste was the chutney they had on the table itself one made of curd and one mint and coriander which had a perfect sourness and taste. Asked for Chhole Biryani, and got rice with 'chana'. When complained I got told that this is how it is made. I am very certain that it was Chana and not Chhole...

Be polite to your customers. You can't just say no to your customers without listening to them. Why don't you mention your order timings on your menu card. And your arrogant captain and waiters..

I went to Northern Tadka about a week ago. The ambience is absolutely fantastic and so is their crockery. However, when it comes to the quality of the food, I would rate it as average because the dishes I was served weren't palatable enough. We had ordered both Chicken and Mutton and the former was prepared well than the latter. The spices weren't seasoned properly and thus failed to add flavour to the food..<br/>Rest, the staff is polite, it's more or less a budget friendly restaurant.<br/>I would recommend this restaurant.

Had been to Northen tadka with mom and the dinner served was good. Yesterday I ordered chicken tikka biryani fir lunch in the office, to my surprise it arrived in a clay pot. We were excited to see the pot. Bjryani within was delicious with fresh tender chicken, perfect spice and perfectly cooked and marinated rice.<br/>It was a super lunch with all chutneys and pickle. And we also received complementary jelebi.<br/>Must try everyone.

Food is great, the dish we ordered was delicious, will visit often to try other dishes. To the hotel management, Get some more tap beers 😬 so that great food n beer will be at a single place. ✌🏻

No doubt abiance was very good. But the quantity of the food was little bit less as compared to price. Veg lolipop was very good in taste, so do the mix veg. But very bad experience with chicken biryani, it was bakwas. It was like someone has mixed chicken curry and plain rice and put in a bowl. Very disappointed.

Yesterday night I went to this restaurant with my family and I had very bad experience.<br/>The food and service was absolutely disappointing.<br/>The waiters had extremely untrained like restaurent, food also very bad starter to main course all pre boiling food. I spend 3.5k but the price is not comparable to the food and service also, the whole experience was not good,I would never go again to this place for any reason and I don't recommend this restaurant....

This place is located on the ground floor at Viviana Mall. Had gone there for lunch on a weekday so it was quite empty. The ambience is really nice. Complete indian decor. The service is very slow. Coming to food, we ordered for dahi ke kebab which was okayish. Then we ordered for Malai paneer, which was nice. The paneer was really soft. The staff is friendly. Overall a nice place to have a good lunch or dinner.

Visited a few weeks ago. Ordered tandoor chicken items. However found very chewy and ordinary. Surprised to see this in a hotel with 4.1 rating. Mutton was also not that fresh. Could make out that it was boiled seperately. Told this to the waiter but he did not bother to report. Just nodded his head. Would not recommend this.

Perfect place for chicken tandoor lovers. They serve best variety of kebabs. Cheese garlic naan is a must try. They serve a curd bit spicy chatni which is the best. This place has a very good ambiance. Punjabi style dinning.<br/>This place is a must try!

Have visited this place on multiple occasions never I mean never you people have served paaya soup...even if you drop by early to this place they aren't able to serve you with paaya soup ...like you hardly have 5 shorbas in the menu and aren't able to serve a mutton shorba...next your music pathetic....your waiters need to learn about hospitality they need to know politeness they literally behave as if they are doing us a big favour...sorry to be harsh but very disappointed this was the only place I used to like for Indian food but after all this I would search some better place...<br/>

Northern Tadka is our regular home delivery order hub. Ambersariya Chicken, Butter chicken and other chicken dishes are fresh, distinct and tasty. Totally recommended.

This Viviana mall branch is not the having good food. We ordered Murgmussallam nd Angari Tikka.which was not up to the mark.Murgmussalm was supposed to be tandoori chicken with Gravy.But boiled chicken was served with tomato gravy.to make it spicy they added lots of chillies.Angari Tikka was tasting like stale chicken was served.We have been to Malad branch they had excellent food. But the one at Viviana mall has pathetic food.<br/>Service standard was poor. Service staff including the staff with tie(suppose to be seniors) were concentrating on TV rather than addressing you.<br/>They only good thing that u get discount if you have Axis or Citi cards.

I am regular visitor to this place mostly on saturday/ Sunday afternoon. This time it was Saturday evening and place was complete occupied.I got my table in 5 mins time which was good as we were hungry. We ordered for Murg lollipop but it was not the same chicken lollipop that you get, instead it was chicken minced and rolled to wooden stick .the taste was not at all good and we returned the dish. Dahi wale bale starter we ordered was the best and we enjoyed the taste. We noticed one thing that team management was unable to handle completely crowded restaurants and I could see most of the people looking out for waiter to check when they will get the food. We wanted to order more starters but settled on main course . Northern Tadka - Was in a mood to have Indian for a change hence decided to visit this place. It had a very subtle touch to it. Quaint Ambience and Calm Indian music.<br/><br/>Items ordered :<br/><br/>1. Angari murgh tikka (🙂)<br/>- The marination was to point with a mixture of flavours but the chicken was a little undercooked. Had that been taken care of, this would have been a complete 10/10.<br/><br/>2. Cheese garlic naan (🙂)<br/>- The quantity of Cheese could have been more. Rest was good.<br/><br/>3. Quite good ambience with well traditionally dressed waiters. Good for family dining and small group of friends who love North Indian food. Very crowded during weekdays. We tried few paneer and chicken main course dishes. Food is good but the place is very noisy.

Must try and its worth it .

Been here for one of my friends birthday celebration..<br/>If you like North Indian Food (Punjabi food) this is must visit place.. Especially the non vegetarian food..<br/>.<br/>.<br/>It has quite a big diner, and the ambience is amazing.. The service was also quite nice.. We didn't had to wait alot.. Couldn't click good picture of food because the food smells so amazing we couldn't stop ourself to start eating..<br/>.<br/>.<br/>When it came to Ordering food, we ordered for Mutton Mughalai with Butter Naan.. The taste was so amazing.. If u love Punjabi food you must visit this place.. They even gave Rabdi & Jalebi as complimentary to us..<br/>.<br/>.<br/>The food is pocket friendly which can suite anyone's pocket.. Was not able to click much pictures of the food because i was lost in delicious food. They serve the best north Indian food. This place is specially for Punjabi food lover. I am going to give five star for everything, ambiance, food, friendly environment.

Late service, uncorporate manager as it was too cold I asked him to change place but he refused even wen thr was empty tables. Service is very poor.

As the name goes, it's got all the flavors of north with the right mix. Good veg food and even more amazing non veg food. To add to that good old music, makes you enjoy the food. Must try place for foodies who love to dig in.

Thought of having Indian food and what better place than Northern Tadka. Pretty noisy place but the food was extremely good so was the ambience. Service could have been better, a smile by the servers would help. The one thing that disappointed me was their lassi was way below our expectation. Otherwise enjoyed the evening with truly good Punjabi food.

One of the best places for authentic North Indian food. Lovely ambience, well mannered staff and value for money, it is a complete package!!

I liked Murg Punjabi Masala the most,in the main course section. Chicken biryani is my favourite from Northern Tadka and when ordered from home it comes in a nice clay pot. I also tried Peshavari Chicken and loved it❤️ The ambience is perfect and the North Indian Villages’ theme goes perfectly with the menu❤️overall experience 4/5

Chicken Shorba as in the picture was absolutely delicious and had such depth of flavours with generous pieces of chicken. It may look not spicy but tastes amazing. Apart from the Shorba, the Mutton biryani is a must try and also kebabs. In all a good place for nice northern Indian meal. Advice would be to open up near South Mumbai and near by areas

It has created excellent ambience and we feel that we r not in mall.excellent cuisine intense flavours. The staff is good and prompt.highly recommended.

I would say a must try this place for Northern Dishes. We tried both Veg and Non-Veg and the taste we got was perfect. Starting from Starters to Dessert we ended up eating everything. The Retro ambience it provided and 90’s music melted our heart. When in Viviana, do visit. Also, it’s really worth paying.

Ordered Sarso da saag and makai ka roti from the restaurant along with paneer tikka and the food was really lip smacking which got delivered with some tasty jalebis

Viviana Mall houses loads of good places and this certainly is one among it. I had the best possible mutton curry here and also rest of the food was good. Had mutton shorba and chicken lollipop. Ambience is great, food is nice. Ample parking space since it is located in Viviana Mall.

I was a regular here as the food, ambience and taste else is good. However in my recent visit I understand that they use egg in their Rumali roti preparation. As a vegetarian I was disheartened and felt cheated as they have not bothered to mention it on their menu card. It was only after asking them they bothered to reveal it ! I am not against you using it but as a customer I have my right to know ! This is cheating your customers who trust that the information given is correct...

Had been here after long shopping hours, hoping to get some delicious food to satisfy our hunger and we were not at all disappointed. With the lovely ambiance, the nice Spicy authentic tasty food and very nice staff around felt very nice to dine here.

Only reason for the poor rating is the worst management and rude behaviour by the staff. I have been to other outlets of northern tadka and have never faced such issue. The closing time is 3.30PM. We got in around 2.15PM. Before ordering anything they started saying very rudely to order everything in one go as it was closing time for them. On top of that after ordering we were served starters and main course together. Surprisingly manager was also rude and very unprofessional. Thumps up for food though!

Best chicken ever , great ambience and good food at affordable price and the music played in the background gives an nostalgic effect , I would like to recommend this place as the interior too gives a relaxing effect to mind.<br/>

Situated at Viviana Mall, this place should be rated 6 out of 5. Decent ambience and service but food is too good make this place a must must visit . Apart from taste , prices are very reasonable.<br/><br/>we started with sabji shorba ( good), jaljeera ( wow wow a must must ) and Dilli wali chilli paneer ( good typical north indian taste)<br/><br/>For the main course sarson ka saag , which is served with makkai roti , yellow daal and cheese garlic naan.<br/>Sarson ka saag and makai ka roti really surprised me , it was very nice hats off to restaurant. Daal and cheese gralic naan were also great.<br/><br/>For dessert we ordered jalebi with rabdi which again was nice.<br/><br/>FROM STARTERS TILL DESSERT WE COULD NOT STOP PRAISING FOOD, IT WAS AFTER LONG TIME VISITED A RESTAURANT WITH GREAT FOOD. Keep it up.

One of the best places for authentic North Indian food. The curries are well prepared and delicious. The chicken pieces are not cooked so well sometimes. But overall the food is very good.👌Would recommend Ambarsariya Murgh..one of the best curries here.

Punjabi concept restaurant. Similar to the urban tadka concept.<br/><br/>Ambience is of a contemporary restaurant masked as a typical Punjabi Dhaba. Tried chicken kebab and veg starters. Both turned out to be good. For main course I chose chicken Punjabi masaa and the traditional pindi Chole. The chicken was good but Chole were a sheer disappointment. Conveniently placed at the ground floor of Viviana mall. The place is little tight & the food is above average. Staff is helpful.<br/><br/>They had no Soup 🥣 puff !!<br/><br/>We’ve ordered <br/>Chilli chicken (below par) & chilli paneer (nicely seasoned) followed by stuff spring roll (great).<br/><br/>In mains we ate Dal which was okay, mutton dishes were good in taste and meat was cooked very well. I have visited this place multiple times and it never fails to impress me with the food and ambience.Be it veg or non veg food. I recently tried the chicken tikka biryani and it was amazing. It had a perfect blend of all spices.Paneer lababdaar - was a perfectly spiced up vegetable for the day.A must try for vegeterians.

The food is lipsmacking, themed ambiance is decent and staff does its work just right. <br/><br/>Location: What better than a restaurant in a mall to Hogg on delicious food after exhaustive shopping. We went with the servers suggestions and had a good meal.<br/><br/>Dilliwala tandoori Murgh(5/5): My search for best tandoori chicken in the city ends here. The masalas were spot on and the bird cooked to perfection!! Love! <br/><br/>Dum Biryani (4/5): Moist, masaledar and flavourful. Not for the ones who prefer light biryanis. Definitely a must have dish here.<br/><br/>Jalebi with rabdi(4.5/5): How could we miss this. The jabelis were piping hot and crisp. The rabdi thick and cold and just right. Favorite place for family outings..<br/>Excellent food and ambience.. Although they can do something about the clutter of tables.. Improve space usage..<br/>The service is a tad drab but its forgotten as soon as you start digging into the food..<br/>The nimbu chicken is excellent.. The dilliwali chicken tandoori is flavorful..<br/>Even the vegetarian selection of food is awesome..<br/>We loved all of their dishes.. Waiting time is too much..<br/>We need to plan and order food.. Repeating rotis is an extremely long wait..

The food was really yummy. I like the paneer starter and the vegetarian delicacy. I would love to come back and explore more food. The rotis are small than usual not sure if the chef was having a bad day! Apart from that all was well - polite staff, quick service, food , ambience etc ... well done
