Must try.....i ate Surmai, prawns and pomfret...all in thali..all fish are cooked well and the green and yellow grevy they serve is really good...fish portion is also good ...but i was expecting few more sides in 450rs ..like suka javla or something like that... anyways I am definitely going to visit this place again.

Must visit best food ever .... and pure malvani taste ..... Staff is well polite and on time order... Manager is explaining every thing in detailed..must try fish thali which is affordable and superb in taste .....

Service and Ambience is good. Main course was good. But the name by which the Restaurant is - "Solkadhi" was not good. There was a smell of dirty coconut used in it. Had to return it But the staff replaced it with Kokam juice which was good.

Food is gr8 specially they're pomfret thali and kolambi thali which we had must try all sea food like crab and shrimp

The food was absolutely LIPSMACKING and DIVINE. Their seafood thalis and prawns dishes are to die for. I met their manager to thank them for the wonderful food and service whilst casually mentioning that it's my brother's birthday. They were so generous to give a dessert as a gesture. They indeed made his evening! Can't recommend this place enough. Great hospitality and scrumptious food is what they offer!

I went for first time to this place...Chicken n Surmai was awesume...Me and my family liked the food...The only point i would like to highligt is the cocunut used for making Solkadi was not good..bcoz of which the solkadi was tasteless and can be harmful..Make sure such kind of food is not served to customers. This is a seafood restaurant in owale. I went there for the first time. Food was good but I could not get the taste of authentic malvani curry. Fish was not very fresh. It was a average experience.

I’ve been to solkadi live twice. Thalis are huge and worth the amount. They also serve a family thali (image) sufficient for 5-6 people for approx Rs. 2000.

We have visited this place three times so far. Its a nice, neat n clean family restaurant for sea food lovers. They have unique styles for making every non veg variety. Amongst them, we liked crab lollypop, chulivarche mutton, prawn lapeta, prawn masala due its different making and taste. They also serve thalis for 6 to 10 people, of which we found thali for 6 people sufficient enough however thali for 10 people could be served with more quantity. Overall experience here is good.

Well very delicious food with authentic touch!!! We tried special rawas thali and surmai fry which worth of our money with proper quantity. Fish curry are balance in flavour and fry item cooked with perfection. Heard about there hoy maharaja thali we will definitely gone try!!!

The chicken liver had a bitter taste

Be aware when you order prawns thali. On menu card they have it for ₹399 but the waiter will tell you the same in glorified way and you end up paying ₹799 for the special prawn thali which is not mentioned in the menu card. Also in prawn thali they give you fried prawns like starter and not in thik gravy. All fish lovers be careful and inquire everything in detail including the prices before you order any dish.

Just visited Solkadhi.. Had heard about it but never been there..the food is really homely.taste is ekdum gharguti.. the staff is polite and friendly... prices are okay.. apparently they get water from Sawantwadi to make the fish curry which was delicious by the way..so that the taste of Konkan can be there!and it's oil free! it certainly was delicious!<br/>So happy that it's on Ghodbunder Road..<br/>must go!

This was the point where everything took a down turn.<br/><br/>Bhakri was reheated in mirco wave or something, fish fry on the plate was excellent and the curry lacked intensity of typical Malvani cuisine. The worse point for me was when I saw the waiter removing soul cuddi from fridge in a plastic bottle and pouring in cup that was simple horrible for me.<br/><br/>A simply dish as soul cuddi can be made everyday but it was split stocked as we could taste it being more water than anything.<br/><br/>Only thing that save this restaurant was behaviour of staff which was very polite and fried fish rest is all very amateur in comparison to my liking.

Sudden plan at night for dinner to satisfy the craving of Maharashtrian cuisine. Ordered one starter chicken lapeta, chicken sukha thali and Mutton thali.......taste was authentic. Somehow, I don't feel the price is justifying the quantity of the food that is given. Neither the ambiance and location demands such high price. Would love to visit again just for the taste of food and when I feel like I need to burn y pocket. 3.5 rating is what this place deserves it but, since that's not the option 3 it is.

After checking the review on Zomato we tried exploring this place. We tried Surmai and Rawas fish it was great but too costly.<br/>When we tried to pay using card they denied it saying not working. We tried if we can pay through some app but they denied it saying no such facility available. Make sure you check if card is accepted and working.

Pathetic service ! Ordered tiger prawn roast fry on 22.07.2018 from Zomato for Rs.299. Surprised to get a small box containing small prawns around 8-9 pieces. Called the restaurant and heard his explanation that prawn shrinks. I understand, but believe me those were not tiger pawns.  Small prawns shrunken to smallest prawns size. Got cheated for Rs.299 !!Created an account to post this so that readers wont get cheated like me !!!!The dish looked liked leftovers and tasted horrible !

After hearing a lot of recommendation for this place, orderd Deep fried bombil from this place. On time delivery and Bombil was amazing. Savour and spicy and fried to perfection. Garlic chutney provided along with the bombil adds wonders. Surely gonna try a lot more.

The flavour of the gravy was good with on time delivery however, they really need to work on the portion size... The quantity of the gravy was really less with just four pieces of chicken which was really tiny... Hence rating my overall experience 1 🌟

I have ordered many times from Solkadhi. But today it felt like the food was made in rush. The Prawns we're not properly cooked. Even the garlic cloves in the Chicken Sukka were raw. The taste didn't live up to the mark of what we've had it in the past. Not happy

If you are a sea food lover just go and visit this place. Ambience is average. Try their solkadi after dinner which gives you inner peace after having such an amazing food.

The place I crashed almost everyday for one month during my days in thane .<br/>I have tried : kolambi bath , harkat bath , chicken thali, chicken sukka thali , almost all chicken starters.<br/>Every dish has its own taste with flavour of Marathi cusine imbibed in it .<br/>I love kolambi bath and Koli vada very much .<br/>And that crispy fish which is kept on table ( I forgot the name ) that goes well with dal rice was amazing.<br/>Must try place .<br/>A bit costly but worth that quality

Nothing so great to mention about this place can definitely give this place a miss the next time around when we are around ghodbunder area..the only nice part being it's reasonably priced for the type of food they offer..the so called signature dish of bharbela bombil turned out to be a bombil dipped into the masala gravy and served to us as a soggy one single piece each..the calms masala were almost all empty with a surprise element of...yes surprise one...some of the calms were not even opened up and we're served as it is...the overall experience not so good.far much better restaurants are there if one has to relish on mouth licking Kokani seafood delicaies.

Malwani cuisine presented in authentic taste. The starters crab lollipop, garlic pomfret, stuffed pomfret were a delight and deserve multiple servings. Liked the smoky flavour of garlic pomfret. The starters are worth the money. The space is crammed due to crowds and waiting, but that is worth the wait. The bakhri’s were super soft and vanished along with the ravas gravy. The gravy was a bit disappointing, so was the Amboli. Otherwise full marks for keeping the flavours intact and fresh fish flavour seeping into the dishes. Washing the whole course down with 2 litres of solkadi made it a perfect meal. The host and owner is present and personally overseas the orders and kitchen which makes the experience worth it. Truly deserves a repeat visit

Malvani cuisine - sea food speciality. Love both, so naturally wanted to try the place out. Simple setup. There is a lot of info on the wall about malvan, sea food etc - interesting to read, but can be put up in a more attractive way. <br/>We ordered the typical gassi and fried fish with rice bhakris. Food was good. Maybe slightly more spicy - too heavy on flavours & masala. The sol kadhi was awesome. Had 2 glasses.<br/>overall, a good eating experience. but i wish they would tone down on the oil and masala - would give a more authentic taste to the food.

Very bad experience. Just had bangde thali and was shocked to see the bill 329. I had seen other solkhadi giving bandge thali for 120. And when asked to waiter he told fish costs 150. So does the rice and 3 chapti costs 179 rps?? No logic at all.

Waste of time and money. They dont even offer water. Food rates are high, doesnt serve you proper food. During prime hours their food was over. No chapati, no bhakri and even no solkadhi. They expect us to eat fish with malwani vade. Also had to personally go and tell him everytime we needed something, because they ignore you when you call them. No feedback book is available. Please dont go to this stupid restaurant.

Worst experience of choosing this restaurant. Zero hospitality. No respect for customers. Hotel ka naam solkadhi hai par hotel mein solkadhi nahi milta. No chapati or bhakri available. This was during the prime hour. Got cold food infront of us after waiting for 50 minutes. Food quality is okay. Do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Waste of time and veryyyy disappoints you to extreme.

Typical subsurban Malwani thali place. Ample parking space on service road. Never seen it more than 50 % occupancy. Ala Carte is expensive for what you get. Thali is decent. Absolute gem of a place. Tiny place on the GB service road, but it packs a big punch. We ordered the surmai thali and I swear I got the most biggest serving of surmai fry I have ever got. Fresh and hot, the thali was absolute vfm at INR 470 with bhakris, curry, rice and chutney. We also ordered a side of prawns gravy and it was upto our expectation. Extra serving of solkadi never hurts after such a good meal. For two, it set us back by INR 800. Pure pleasure.

Awesome malwani taste..average to good ambience..2 people bill will generally be 900-1000 ₹ or more, unlike written on website, no proper arrangement to record customers awaiting due to seats being full..<br/>

One of the best places for Malwani food in Thane. There thalis are very good and fish n prawns fry is also very good. The best part here is the "wada"! They serve the perfect Wade when compared to other malwani restaurants in Thane. And of course their Solkadhi is awesome....in most of the restaurants, Solkadhi has more water than coconut milk but that's not the case here....the Solkadhi is on the spot! Must visit for those who wanna try malwani food!

Splendid day. Had an awesome outing with my friends. Fish aur prawns khaiche tar ikade yah. Fish pe fish.. prawns fry,ravas fry, solkadi, fish curry , bhakti, surmai fry, pomfret fry were some of the dishes we tried . Excellent flavour, excellent taste and value for money.

Finally got chance to visit this place though I pass by this famous for fish restaurant everyday.<br/>This restaurant on Ghodbunder road is a must visit for fish lovers. I being a chicken lover ordered for a chicken thali, and I couldn't ask anything more. Came in a thali which had delicious chicken sukka malvani style, chicken rassa, garlic chutney, solkadi and wada. <br/>Yummy food, must visit.

Ordered food yesterday, one word about it-Awesome! The shallow bombil fry was fresh and tasty, dry masala chicken was finger licking 👌🏼, mouthwatering bhakris reminded me of assal homemade khana. But Kolambi rice was little spicy 🌶 though. But overall a good experience! Will definitely order again & visit soon!
