This restaurant is situated in Korum Mall just besides the games section. Though the ambience is average as compared to the other hotels in the mall, one can visit this place to get a very reasonably priced thali. The food is good as per the price. Service is OK. I feel there is a shortage of staff. But at 350 bucks, I think this place is pocket friendly.
The farsans had soft and spongy sandwich dhokla which tasted good with their sweet and tangy chutnies, the small batata (potato filled) vadas with a dash of mint in it took the farsans to an altogether different level. They even had crunchy spicy papads and some cold and crunchy salads and obviously their two chutnies were perfectly seasoned.
The mains had tasty masala bhindi, soft and silky paneer, perfectly cooked potato sabzi and gatte ka sabzi which, by the way, never tasted so heavnely till I had eaten here.
Dal consisted of 4 varieties, the all famous gujrati kadi (which was not at all sweet and i just loved it).
Dal baati churma with a big helping of ghee would have given a run for its money to even the ones served at core rajasthani villages.
Phulkas, bajare ka rotla, fennel infused khichdi and their rice was perfectly washed down by their icy cold butter milk.
Desserts were a bit disappointing as they lacked taste and apart from their shrikhand which was not too sweet like the ones we get packed outside, others were below average and failed to tickle any of our taste buds and we felt that it was a big let down given that how lavish and amazing desserts are served by tiptop and rajdhani for the same amount. The kesari halva and the puran poli needs to be polished off as i felt that a dash of green cardamom in the halvas would have made them taste better.
