Food was tasty. They north Indian as well as South Indian. They should make use of Tandoor for roti baking instead of Tawa. Rest all was good.

Pathetic experience. Had ordered Hongkong Rice, the chicken seemed to be stale. Had little food as it tasted bad, but got food poisoning. Was admitted to hospital for 3 days. Please don't opt for Chinese food in Green Gurus.

One of best North Indian pure vegetarian food is available and all paneers sabji is delicious but it doesn’t serves chapati or roti. They have their own different parathas in their menu which also tastes better. Everything in menu is in budget of middle class.
Green Guru, its small in accomodation, but not any way less in quality and quantity of their food and stuffs. Love visiting there often, specially for their Sambhar with good Dosa and Idli.

The Gastronomics
The parathas here are their best dish, double crunch paratha, mix veg, paneer paratha, dhaniya fudina paratah.
Double crunch is my all time favorite.πŸ˜‹
South Indian here is also great in taste.
They serve Punjabi food as well.
This is a small hotel , don't judge it by the exterior look or the ambience, the staff here as great and very attending, this place is highly pocket friendly and offers great taste and variety of food items for a very reasonable rate.

Nice food. I tried idli but it was rava idli big in size, soft. Rava masala dosage also good in the teas
teast. I think they increase some other food items.
To start with, the place is ideal for someone looking for a decent veg lunch with no frills. Yes. No frills. Having regularly ordered delivery from here, I am delighted each time with the delicious taste of the items from their 'Dal & Vegetable' section - I especially am partial to their Dal Fry. The Masala Dosa is tasty & sumptuous - a meal in itself, I can vouch :) In fact, I have now taken to ordering food from Green Guru for the visitors to my office nearby - and they too seem suitably impressed. A word of caution though - the premises are, I repeat, no frills - the seating is limited & there is no AC. So the ordering a delivery is the 'value for money' thing to do.
Swati Eyecatchers
Awesome for lunch and dinner. Need to improve service. Paratha is different I like it. Increase menu specially sabji no complaints for paratha but need to improve Sabji not as per expectations
Thanks

This restaurent is a very good place for simple people with very less demands. I like the simplicity of their offerings. Plates, spoons and glasses are very good. Punjabi and South Indian dishes taste very good. They offer only parathas of wheat flour which are very good than those complicated naan, kulcha, roti etc which are tough to digest. I have always had a healthy food experience and wait for an opportunity to visit again and again when possible.

Best place to eat paratha. I really loved it so much the paratha were crispy soft and properly cooked but it is non A/C which is a negative point and sitting arrangements is not good. But food is best 😘and cheap a foodie which is paratha lover must visit one time

A friend recommended this place and we decided to try it. Its a no frills restaurant with wide options in parathas - which are a must try here. The double crunch & mint-coriander paratha were pretty impressive. The portions are too good for the price. Can try atleast once. The other fast food options are quite decent too. Nice vegetarian option in the area.

Being in the vicinity of this restaurant brought me here for lunch. A quick search on Zomato did give out quite a good feedback and hence firmed up my mind on this place.

The ambiance is nothing to rave or even mention about. It’s a non-air-conditioned restaurant with an open kitchen. The tables and benches are steel made. You don’t have the privilege of having the table for yourself unless you are in a group of 4; eventually someone will be sharing the table with you.

I ordered for a MIX VEG PARATHA [INR 70]. It was not what I was expecting to be served. The Paratha was all dough; a thick base with wafer thin layer of filling, baked crisp on both side and served with a spoon of butter. I was better off ordering a plain paratha or lachha paratha. It was served with a near thin raita and a β€œUssal” like gravy.
AVOIDABLE

I had ordered a SEV TOMATO [INR 120] along with the Paratha. This dish was made sweet by adding sugar instead of just leaving it slightly tangy, a natural taste of tomatoes.
AVOIDABLE

Personally, this restaurant did not quite live up to the expectations created by so many positive or favorable reviews.

To be fair, let me accept that I visit green guru only for my excessive love of good food. This small non-ac place serves an unbelievable variety of parathas with a dollop of butter on a spoon. If you are in for a quick, inexpensive and satisfying meal with no worldly cares for materialistic factors like ambiance, come here and try the pizza, methi paneer, mix veg parathas with a simple dal fry. Their tawa pulao and sabzis like kadai paneer, methi mutter malai etc are also pretty good.
Disclaimer: you might have to wait a while before you get a table on weekends.

Nice little restaurant. Large stuff parathas. They don't serve Roti's. Rolls are ok. Kadhi pakoda is a good dish. Simple restaurant. Except for Rolls n Parathas menu is pretty much standard.

I've been to this Green Guru restaurant only once with my relative. We ordered Pizza, Pav Bhaji, Paranthas and some vegetables (sabzi) also. We asked the receptionist to pack it and afterwards we took all the stuff to home for other family members. I tried pizza first and it turned out to be so delicious which was beyond my expectations. Later I tried Pav Bhaji which was awful and hellacious. Paranthas and the sabzi of Paneer were delicious too! Just for Pav Bhaji, I'm giving them 3.5. Sorry.

A very very nice restaurant for specially veggies. everything that is present in the menu is good and won't disappoint . but what v had was paneer butter masala and plain paratha it was a killer combination and tend to end up ordering the same dish every time v visit the restaurant. but the maharastrian snacks are also good had misal here can safely say its one the best probably after mamledar misal in thane. the wide variety of dosas are also good amd so are the sandwiches. i particularly like the dahi vada that they serve. staff here is courteous and order is served to u at a very crisp rate. overall a safe option to have a very tasty food at very pocket friendly rates. due to limited sitting arrangements one can encounter waiting or else will have to share tables with fellow foodies.

I have been going to Green Guru since It opened and I guess the fact that I still visit it every time im in India is a testimony to my likeness for it.
This restaurant started dominantly as a paratha place but has since diversified into a mainstream north indian restaurant. Whats commendable is that their menu and taste has remained the same through the years.
Coming to the important part I.e. the food, it is absolutely fantastic both in flavor and quantity. The prices are so reasonable that kne could eat here almost an entire week without any guilt of over spending.
It makes no point speaking of the ambience and service frankly because this place is too simple for all of that. From the steel benches to the dull make-do decor, everything wants you to eat your food, pay your bill and leave. There is no time wasted in flattery or questions about your dining experience.
I personally recommend the paneer bhurji and sev tomato dishes for the main course as I find them quite distinguished

They are simple age odl types restro on Thane.

They have good/excellent combo Indian meals and thali and portion size is good and so are the prices.
Quick meals at good price in good veg restro. They are not extra ordinary or something but they do serve good enough food. I like them a lot.
Partahas and subji roti's are nice to try. Dont try Pav bhaji and all..its nt that kind of place.
All in all good pocket friendly place to eat.

So the confusion of do or not to do, I ended up having a lunch at this place. A small place but does pack a punch.
This place is famous for the wide variety of parathas on the offer.
Aloo, paneer, cheese and double crunch are some of my favourites. They are served hot and fresh. Unlike other restaurants where the parathas are kept half cooked and are recooked as the orders are placed. At Green Guru they make sure you get fresh parathas everytime you order one.
They also serve very good lassi and chaas.
The dal tadka I had was an average one but overall i was happy with the food.
I did find this place a bit expensive than conventional udipi restaurants. Also the kitchen being partially open makes it hotter and a bit uncomfortable at times.
But thats OK if the food quality is good.
I suppose. So mixed feeling about this one.
