Review New Garvaa - Thane

Open dhaba type restaurant. Food is little costly compared to its quality. There few more restaurants near by which has better food quality.

The ambience is awesome

Nice restaurant but heavy traffic at night time due to metro work. Otherwise 5star.

Amazing as always. I visit here often for Desi Agri Chicken🐓(Red spicy😝🌶️ Gravy with Tandlyachi bhakri(rice bhakri) My reactions always 🔥🤪😋😋😋 Just a caution this dish takes an hour to be prepared. So those trying for this, please get there well in advance. Or else try requesting order telephonically. Good cosy ambience with arrangement of dhaba style Cot and long round takiya.

Great food and ambience. On specific days there are live music as well.

Nice resturant. Best part is they have separate family section. Alcohol served here. Food taste is good. Nice behaving staff. Ambience of resturant is average. No need to pre book table .

Great place with pleasant ambiance and delicious food. Great menu options for both veg and non-veg.

New Garvaa restaurant is an average restaurant in Thane West, on the Ghodbundar road. It has a good parking place, ample of sitting place inside hotel. Although it was not very crowded when we visited it, service was little slower than expected. Food quality and quantity is good also food is tasty. Prices are on lower side compared to hotels in the vicinity. It was a good experience visiting hotel Garvaa.

place was nice quite and had satisfactory food taste. well serviced too... not giving 5 star bcoz the place could improve more on seating assets

Garva is a place to hang out with friends
Food is quite cheap and reasonable
It's definitely not a family restaurant with a dull ambience
Had chicken lollipop, murg musalam, butter naan, fried rice and the food is good but it can be improved in many ways.

Great place for tandoori stuff be it Veg Kebabs or Non veg. My list of favourites is kind of long - Paneer Tikka, Mutton seekh kebab, Chicken pahadi kebab, Stuffed paranthas (tandoori), Laccha paratha, Veg Fried rice, Veg/Non veg hakka noodles

Pathetic experience.. they try to sell some new bear called Beck's ice and charge you bom.
Not recommend at all!

Mosquitoes are in abundance and Service is also very bad

New Garvaa is located on Ghodbunder road. Place had a dhaba feel with "Khat seating" in an open garden decorated with lights and music. We ordered some cocktails from menu but they were not available. Food was tasty but service was tad slow. Overall a good place to hangout in winter nights.

New Garva is located at Ghodbandar Road at Bhayandar Pada easily accessible from the main highway.
It's a open garden restaurant which gives a Dhaba feel.
Live Music sessions in the evening, atleast the evening that I visited.
As I have visited a number or places near the vicinity, New Garva is extremely expensive when it comes to their food or drinks, in comparison with the other competitors and the overall ambience ot food of their own.
Their management needs to work on this aspect for some better ratings.

Review No 485:

We were passing through the Godhbunder area for the first time and I was really not aware that Zomato would have something listed from this part of the city, something which is available on the outskirts. Well done.

To quell the hunger for a bit, we made a quick pitstop at New Garvaa. I can understand how and why its still maintained the charpoy wala feeling. Something which must have been a norm two decade or so before when this area was out of reach for most people.

As this was a quick pitstop, we ended up having an Omlette and a Chicken Dum Biryani. The Omlette was created in so much rush that he ended up putting a tad bit of an extra salt. What a Bummer.

For the Chicken Biryani, the quantity was about average and the rice was cooked well. Don't expect an aromatic Biryani rice. The chicken thankfully had less of bones and was decently spiced. The Raita which came as an accompaniment was pathetic.

Service: Simply put in one word..."Lost ! "

Price: For 80 Rs for a bottle of cold drink and Rs 90/- for an humble Omlette, the pricing of this place is quite the opposite of the way its set up.

Ambience: Lots and lots of charpoy in an open Dhaba style setup mostly for folks to drop by to have a quick drink and move on. Thank you for accepting cards though.

To sum up the experience, it was a much needed stop for us and hence we made it. Else there are some places much earlier I believe in Hiranandani Estate if you are planning to drive by this area. I would definitely avoid it the next time.

Ratings on basis the experience so far:

Food: 2/5
Price: 2/5
Service: 2/5 (Leaving this neutral as this was a take away).
Ambience: 1/5 (Leaving this neutral as this was a take away).
*****************
Overall: 2/5 (Implied Rating of 2)

Just opposite my residence, so ordering from new garvaa is a regular thing.
I absolutely love their dal tadka and chicken patiala and the best part is, they have had a constancy in taste since such a long time!
Not much of fan of their dine in majorly due to their dhabaish arrangement , but their food orders are always tasty.
My advice, definitely try - for the food, especially chicken patiala.

Beware especially while getting home delivery’s from this place. I ordered crispy veg but there were chicken pieces in the dish. Preferably don’t order if you are a vegetarian. Most of the vegetarian dishes from this place are pathetic.

A sober place to visit if you want to eat traditional food . No doubt I went there for it and for a change tried Chicken Manchurian dry which was to my surprise the best I’ve eaten anywhere , also tried Gavthi chicken handi ( live chicken to be chosen ) .

Worst experience ever...The food served was cold
Service was not quick..Manager didn’t turn up when called
Ambiance was fine
Totally dissatisfied 😤
Very Good place quite near to city with its own silence.
Properly maintained with two different sections for family and friends..
You get the feeling of Dhaba when you are here .
Decent food with decent taste.
An extremely expensive outlet I have come across at Ghodbandar Road.
In comparison with the other restaurants in this area, neither the food not the ambience is worth the price they charge.
It is an open garden restaurant, a Dhaba kind of look and some live music.
The food and alcohol beyond expensive at an outlet like this.
Totally dissatisfied.
Arosh John
Right on Ghodbunder Road. Decent restaurant with good menu and Ambience. Parking is available. Service is fast. Live music goes on few days with fresh sea food.

SERVICE-Guys, please avoid this restaurant the service here is pathetic, the waiters won't listen to you. They are very arrogant.
FOOD-Food is decent, comes in good quatity, and feels properly cooked.
Ambiance-it is decent,it has dhaba style feel to it,with laid back khatiya stlye seating, nothing special here also.
Price-Everything here is priced very high,Not at all value for money for what you getting.
Joel
I am sitting here and typing this message. Food is nothing special. Ordered a soup , it was just ok. Starters were good. Wait time is very huge. Prices are mind boggling. What's special to have such high prices? Still figuring it out.

It's an average place to hang out friends and family. Food is awesome, but quantity is bit less. Also no cleanliness and lots of mosquitoes
Food 5/5
Ambience 3/5
Quality 4/5
Quantity 3/5

Visited few days back for a farewell party. We chose this place as it was away from the city and thought of having a nice time with colleagues but it disappointed with the expectations we had with this place.
Staff was not at all attentive. Food was good in taste but highly priced. You have to order according to the peg sizes and they can't serve you the full bottle instead, though we demanded for it 😕

Ambience - 4/5
Service - 3/5
Food - 4/5
Value for money - 3/5

Worst place to order food from. Delivery is always late by more then 1 hour. If you call you enquire about the delay the management is rude and they them self cancel the order. Post which they don't answer your call. If by chance the food is delivered it's already cold and they say it come like that only. Don't waste time by ordering here. There are plenty more restaurants around.

Visited this place with family for dinner on holi. Ambience is good but mosquitoes are a big problem. Service is not at all good, really disappointing. Talking about food, we had only had veg. Would say the food is good and the quantity is also good. I won't recommend this atleast with family even after it has a different section for family.

The ambience is quite nice it is spacious gives u a good Dhaba like feeling the food here is very OK OK types they should focus more on their quality of food other wise the place is good.
Chetan Avinash
Place is good , Gives you a dhaba feeling. Have separate family section so good for both friends n family.
Staffs are courteous ,Quick service.
Starters are good both veg n non veg
Main course was value for money.
Over all okay place to go once in a while.
Sham
It's gives really average food. Have never been here but have ordered for home delivery on multiple occasions and found the food to be just mediocre. I wouldn't exactly recommend it to anyone but if someone is dying of hunger and has no other option this place might just be your saving grace for home delivery as there are very less options around this area for fast delivery.
Nitin Jadhav
It's a dhaba style dining, food is ok nothing special, but good thing you can choose your live chicken and get it cooked the way you like it, my favourite is Agri style with rice bhakri, lots of small mosquitos so cover your self if you are planning for a visit, they do have a live Gazals, however it's very annoying when you are planing to meet up with your friends and can't have a proper communication,
Overall it's a average place to give it a try.

This place is a heaven for people who love spicy non vegetarian dishes .. Overall a very good experience ... The veg fare is also decent considering the limited options you have ... They also provide the option of selecting fish , crabs .. So select , get it cooked and enjoy the food ..
Snehasish #foodeveloper
the food is ok according to the price but not a good place to be with ur close ones. they take a little xtra time to serve the food but newe for emergency i can order food from here as its nearby my home but will think twice if i want to visit again or not
Sumedh Patil
Visited this place on 2nd August. The food taste is not that great and the service offered is really shitty. Does not give a dhaba feeling at all. Also their staff is a bit ignorant.
Sushant Kanchan
We 8 friends had visited this on a Sunday this April, 15.

It does have a dhaba kinda feel with the seats, lights and the singing.

The food[non-veg] was good. But they mixed up a lott on the orders. This was hugely disappointing as it happend more than once. And moreover, they mixed up the bill too. We were charged extra. One amongst us has a habit f tallying the bills which saved us from paying extra.

The washroom wasn't particularly clean. The singers did a fair job. The large screen which screened the IPL match was placed awkwardly.. as in, most f the table didn't have a clear view. Mosquitoes troubled us a bit towards the end.

Overall an 'okay' experience.
Jonathan Barboza
Good place too booze and dine with friends..food reasonable and good..ambience also good ...large screen for match lovers and live music ...cots feel uncomfortable especially if UA boozing...in all a good experience but not that great

Been to this restaurant only once with the family, it has a Dhaba style set-up with a huge screen set-up. Some one who wants to watch cricket matches while enjoying his drinks, this can be a option. Ambiance was fine. Food tasted OK. Was not at par with the expectation. Very limited options with food.
Anup Shah
Been there only once with my friend. It's one of many restaurants on GB road with dhaba like set up, cots for seating arrangements, live music, family section. Food is delicious. Staff & services are good.

Guys,
I stay in Chembur , lemme tell you, i do not have any problems whatsoever to go to this place which is about good 20 kms from my place .now the question is why? Why do i have to drive that far when i can reach any of the western suburban restaurants in 20 mins time and save myself time and effort.
The one and only reason is food, the good service and the extremely friendly staff are an added advantage .
they have Jumbo Pomfrets and Jumbo prawns on the menu and trust me they are jumbo, fish is never ever stale and is cooked to perfection and since i like my meat and fish half done i give them specific instructions on the same .
last time i was there i ordered the prawns tawa which was mouth watering deliciousness straight from the heavens and i could have killed for the tandoori pomfret .my wife being a vegetarian ordered the potato nazakat which was yummy.
all in all any food that you order is delicious . their agri chicken curry is a must try and all their tandoori dishes are a class apart from the usual restaurants of this class. Chinese dishes are good as well .i really enjoyed the chicken chilly with my glass of draft.all in all a good 5 stars for the food
The ambience is very very good . they have no air conditioner but they really dont require it.
Although it is a dhaba is has a different family section where no smoking is allowed . they have cots for seating which are nice and clean .
Live ghazals are played post 1930 hrs ,and did i mention live football matches on big screen this football season.ya they have that too .
Must go and must eat ..eat a lot ...
cheers
ATUL BHARTI
Nice taste at cheap rate
A nice dhaba ambience with good service,
They dnt have a large variety of cuisine but what they have they have it good
Pranil S Mhatre
the place is good value for money. The best part is that you don't have to travel far away from the city to get a dhaba experience. The staff is friendly and the food is great. i have never complained about the food not being proper or the fish not being fresh there.
