Review Metkut Manpada - Thane

Delicious Maharashtrian cuisine! There are typical dishes on the menu which you won't find in any generic restaurants. The ulta vada is an interesting twist to the vada pav. Everything, from the curry to the condiments tastes fresh and flavorful. We had the metkut special thali, veg kurma and ulta vada. Can't complain about the service, and serving time was also really fast for us. Prices are reasonable, but it's worth noting that the quantity of the food items is lesser than most restaurants. It might help to order an extra dish or two. Great experience overall. Worth visiting to try great Maharashtrian food.

All items in the Thali were tasty. Quantity is more than enough for one person. Had to wait for 15 minutes for the Thali. Ambience is mediocre. Service should improve. Talking about the main item, the Metkut, it was awesome. As per the quality, taste and items, the rates are reasonable. They also sell maharastrian snacks at the counter. There is another seating area upstairs. I'd highly recommend the Thali.

Metkut, as a title, is a perfect analogy for a restaurant that specializes and serves pure vegetarian Maharashtrian cuisine. Metkut offers wide varieties of Marathi Cuisine from different parts of Maharashtra. Right from Golycha bhat to Dalimbi Usal to Thalipith. It's a great experience if you truly in love with Maharashtrian cuisine . Metkut has assimilated almost the entire food landscape of Maharashtra in its menu. There are major vegetarian specialties from all the regions of Maharashtra; Konkan, Vidarbha, Western Maharashtra and Marathwada.  Every single dish you choose it will give you immense satisfaction and different but original taste. We went here after hearing lot of word-of-mouth references from my Maharashtrian friends. So finally we were here. We had Methichi Bhaji, Kolhapuri Bharleli Wangi, Batata wada, Aakha Massor with Bhakri and poli. Moog Bhaji, Thalipeeth and ukadiche modak. The Thalipeeth is awesome, Masoor is too good, Bharleli Wangi bhaji should not be missed, Will certainly go for more. Also the rates are very very reasonable. The ambience is good, the staff welcomed warmly. After ordering, food was delivered in reasonable time. The serving staff was also very courteous. Food was served hot and Most importantly the taste was superb. Service was fast, efficient and attentive. There were a couple of customers who seemed new to this cuisine and were properly attended to and suggested dishes to order. The staff is well aware of the ingredients of the dishes as well. If you are looking to have an authentic Maharashtrian veg food, Metkut is the place to be... good food. if you're looking to have some different this is the place, Make sure you reach little early on weekends (before 8:30 pm) so you need not to wait. A big thanks to all of you for giving us a chance to explore Maharashtrian food from snacks to main course. It's not a restaurant but an experience, not to be missed.

If you are looking for authentic Maharashtrian food this is the right place to come. Located just off the main road this place should not be hard to find. The ambience and setting is really nice. The staff is very friendly. Service is quick as well. They have all the Maharashtrian dishes available here as well as a good range of combo meals and Thalis too. Only note that this is a veg restaurant and they do not serve non veg food. They even have a good variety of fasting food at this restaurant. Everything that we ordered was presented really well and tasted even better than it looked.

Happen to visit thane for some official work and since navrati was going on so we were searching for restaurants that served pure veg food and methkut came to our rescue. Very comfortable sitting, polite staff and service is a bit slow. But the ambience is so warm and welcoming that you will love spending time here. They serve authentic food from various parts of Maharashtrian We tried Matar Pattice - nice and filling. Puranpoli- a must try, served along with ghee. Highly recommended 👍 Misal pav- base of gravy is unique slight brownish in colour and full of flavours. Vada pav - was average. Mix Bhajiya - mix of kanda, moong and aloo bhaji out of which, kanda bhaji was good Sheera - perfectly sweet and not heavily loaded with ghee. Tari pohe - speciality of nagpur pohe served along with brown chana Rassa which was superb. Do give it a try. Highly recommended 👍 Thaalipeeth - was made out of multigrain flour. Solkadhi - very refreshing. Taak - buttermilk with tempering and taste was so soothing. Prices are pretty affordable for the quality of food. Very hygiene products served in disposable plates and glasses.

Delicious Maharashtrian menu. Mejwani thali is very good option. They have complete menu covering recipes of all regions in amethist Rice is one of my favourite here. Also rice portion and bhaji (sabji) portion is very small than the other maharashtrian food joints. We also tried lot of startes like Alu vadi , misal, Pattice , etc etc

Homestyled maharashtrian food from maratha, vidarbh region yummy and delicious. We went with family on a rainy day. So had to order kanda bhajiyas, kotambir vadis with green chutney. Kanda Bhaji and vadis were hot and crispy to the point. We ordered further, jowar bhakri and Coconuty Dalimbachi usal (sprouted field beans, vaal) . Too crowded on holidays, festivals and there could be waiting too. 4 wheelers park at ur own risk. Reasonable on ur walllet too. Must visit. They have branches too in Thane, Mumbai. . Helpful staff and good food. (Check out the Food pics uploaded)

This was the second Metkut joint we tried, the first was at Naupada. Conveniently situated at Dosti Imperia. We tried the Gavran Thali this time and it was a spread. Little of everything. Bhajis, dals, papads, gulab jamun, rice, Bhakris, chutneys, etc. We'll try the Metkut Special thali the next time. Seating is identical to Naupada, with lots of it. Service is fast and price are reasonable.

The food tasted good. But service is to improve. Gavran Thali, Metkut Thali was very good but quantity is less.

Excellent food. Veg only. Very tasty. Moonglow bhaji is a must try. Had been for breakfast. Pohe and kothimbir vadi was great as well. Thaalipeeth was a bit tricky.......its upto everyone's taste, especially Marathi folks make it regularly. Nice ambience and very courteous staff
