Their salad and pickle is special. I recommend their chicken biriyani and fry. Limited seats are available, so there is chance of congestion at peak hours. Biriyani ! Biriyani ! Biriyani ! We had biriyani in the last week and while writing this review, I'm getting the taste. my mouth is filling with watery saliva.. We tried mutton biryani and chicken fry. All was good, including the pickle, salad and lemon tea. Mutton Biryani (single) costs ₹270 and chicken fry costs ₹120. One good biriyani options in Trivandrum (Malabar style) and it is worth the 5 stars.

One of the most popular places that has been there for a while. They do the simple things well by serving a limited menu of biriyanis and a fried chicken as a starter. All their biriyanis- Fish, mutton, beef and chicken were delicious. The fried chicken was also crispy and juicy. Finishing the meal with their sulaimani is also a must.

Undoubtedly the best biriyani in town!! The authentic Malabar biriyani. Whenever you go and eat they maintains the consistency in taste. Never had a bad experience in terms of taste from the restaurant. The mutton and beef biriyani are the best. You get tender and soft pieces which literally melts in your mouth Must try for all biriyani lovers!!

One of the best biriyani spot in trivandrum Its a must try place for thalassery biriyani. Specially the mutton and chicken biriyani.even the rice is very flavour full and delicious. The ambiance is calm and has a good vibe. Special area for order reception and collection, not too packed with crowds best to go with family and friends. Only issue is parking with limited parking for 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers are just 3/4 car parking area.

5 star for the taste and aroma of the dish. And 4 star for the parking space and then waiting lobby if you are going on the weekend. I went on a saturday after being disappointed with the dinining facilites and wait time from another popular outlet in the city. The staff was very supportive in helping us updating the wait time and constantly giving importance based on need basis. Coming to the food we ordered one chicken briyani, one fish briyani and chicken varuval(Dont miss it) their show's topper dish lemon tea which you shouldn't miss after the meal. Fish briyani had a vanchram fried piece and taste is simply awsome with the tradional kerala briyani in seerga samba rice. Chicken varuval cooked in obivouly coconut oil was simply outstanding the aroma and the taste. It was worth to have a briyani at this place. I have to be thankful to my friend a localite for suggesting this place to me. I must admit i had very less kerla style briyani's till now i would rate this place the best briyani's kerala style i had till date. A suggestion to the mangament would be briyani's are served much better with a gravy. According to me if there is something they can improve is adding a gravy to the list.

I had mutton biryani for the first time from Ajwa . Needless to say this is my favourite spot now in Trivandrum. Mutton biryani with chicken fry and Pepsi is such a great combination 😋. Polite staff is also a plus. Ambience wise not that great but who want ambience when you have this tasty biryani. Me being from kannur and appreciating and suggesting this biryani to my family says how great this actually is. They have a branch in kannur also 😁

The best place for Dum Biriyani in the city, Period! Just loved it... The taste was resembling to the real malabari dum biriyani's. The restaurant is neat and clean. The rates too are reasonable when compared to others in the city. The chicken biriyani was delicious and could fulfill my stomach, taste and heart too. The achaar (pickle) was great too. The service was also commendable. Not at all crowdy. The hotel is air conditioned. The toilet and washing area too were clean.

One of the best biriyanis in Trivandrum for sure. As we ordered on Eid, the biriyanis were very expensive than usual. Both the mutton and chicken biriyanis were to die for. The biriyani masala was spicy and to the point. The rice was also cooked to perfection. The pieces were tender and had all the flavors. Along with the biryani came, a slightly sweet beetroot salad. They were packed well and brought fresh to us.

Had chicken biriyani and chicken fry from Ajwa. Taste of rice and masala good. I felt chicken was broiler and not white leghorn. Normally North keralites use white leghorn for chicken biriyani. So taste of chicken in the biriyani is average. Taste of chicken fry is good... Besides their pickle (dates, ginger, etc.) is very good. That pickle itself is enough for having two plates of biriyani rice. 😋

Ajwa dum biriyani is one of the best biriyani in trivandrum city. You will get ultimate taste of thalassery biriyani here. Biriyani is served with dates pickle and salads. Service was good, ambience cam be better. Parking is difficult in rush hours.

Best malabar biriyani spot in trivandrum.

Arguably, the best biriyani in town. The well cooked meat is skewed and broiled in the tiny fine-grained rice. The rice is stewed in the broth of the meat, and steamed with tomato and other assorted veggie puree. As a result, the rice is a standalone, equally delicious preparation, as is the meat. Their salads are stirred in vinegar and salts that make up for another dish in itself. Crushed beetroot and dates pickle are a glistening touch combo. Unlike every other biriyani in town, the Ajwa specialty does not come with egg and pappadam. It’s the classic Thalassery dum preparation that the restaurateur takes pleasure in. Their fried chicken accompaniment is another Thalassery classic. The biriyani comes in chicken, mutton, fish and veg variances. Moreover, they offer an extra rice bowl, and even an extra half biriyani bowl for those who order from the special category. In the end, wind up with their honey flavoured lime sulaimani, the cherry topping climax. The décor is a little old fashioned for the ongoing rage, but it’s least in plain sight when gobbling down their delicious mixture. Earlier, the place was a lunch-only restaurant, closing by 3 pm. But now they’ve extended the opening hours to dinner too. They had launched their second outlet in Kazhakoottam a few years back, and constantly growing.

Had beef biryani today. The taste was good. Service guys are not that active.

Earlier biryani from Ajwa was nice, with that experience we ordered. But totally disappointed. Earlier quality for chicken and mutton biryani are totally lost, horrible taste. Not recommended

The masala of Ajwa is way better than that of Paragon's. The aroma of Chicken biriyani always makes me crave for more. The best in town.

Dont order biriyani afternoon...its cold and tastless

The biryani used to be really good earlier, but ordered Special Chicken Biriyani and it felt more like tomato rice with chicken pieces. Rice had a sour taste as well. Disappointed with the quality now

I ordered two chicken biriyanis through zomato today. In one biriyani no chicken piece was there and on closer look there were small bone pieces with chicken bits as if it was eaten. The top layer of rice on the packet looked untouched. The bottom layer of biriyani had this bone reminents.I have ordered many times from Ajwa before, but this is the first time I am experiencing this. The second packet don't have any problem.

Was delivered a vegetable biryani instead of fish biryani.On requesting for a replacement there was unprofessional response.

Tried this hotel during my business trip in Trivandrum.Looking for a authentic food and went to this place.We had Malabar mutton Biriyani and Chicken fry.The food was awesome and finally had Kattan chai for that heavy dinner.
