Review Khasak - Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum)

The place is quite nice with good ambience. We went there two times. First time their service was very much good, but during the second time it took little time to take order and serve. Food: biriyani was very flavourful they use kaima rice. .alfam had no kubus or parotta as its compliment . .butter chicken gravy tasted very good(as i’m vegetarian) and it had ample amount of chicken pieces also that was worth for the money. Overall the place is good and enjoyable :)

Limited but a well managed space. They mostly serves arabian dishes. Dishes that we were served were fresh and good. Modest place for family to dine. One suggestion is to provide facility and promote digital transactions like google pay.

Hi folks, I wanted to introduce a New Restaurant that I bumped into on the Kowdiar Ave yesterday- KHASAK CITY. Just opened a week back, most of you who would drive through the Ave wouldn’t miss the glitter of the street-side outlet. I barged in on the gaping retailer and found a bunch of curious action within. The café is organized in a classic makeshift model, and yet, not slashing on panache. It was a miniature outdoor celebration resembling a backyard party- A shawarma rotisserie swirling right at the doorstep; a Tawa pan setup next to it; a grill counter for all those char-orders; a couple of seats under huge umbrellas; waitron hopping all over the place; and an elongated kitchen doing the rest of the magic. The most interesting and bizarre part of the place- The restauranteur had got hold of an old yellow school-van and decked it up with tables and converted it into vintage dining. The old-school touch was archaic, and yet, ringing bells on some weird nostalgia. The ‘not-so-surprising’ menu was confined to biriyani, noodles, fried rice, Indian breads and a few common dishes. But it wasn’t reason enough to be dismayed, because they know their culinary quite well. My servings of Chicken and Beef were ahead of fulfilling. Also, the shack-like experience was an experiential and visual break from the rest of the fancy diners in the city. So browse through the photos and see if the rough-and-ready courtside interests you. ‘Cuz it was a memorabilia token for me. Just walk into the 14 seater bus or the beach-like umbrella dining and order some of those goodies for a great 80s night. ENJOY…

Good food. Great ambiance. Definitely all need to try it once. The ambiance expecially the trees and plant. The interior decoration has old classic touch to things.

Went in there quite late but wasn’t denied service though many other restaurants did, so the first impression is a score. The first word to describe the place is yellow- set up in yellow lights and colour and there are quirky aspects like a bus seating which adds a charm. Lot of items on the menu, some which are not very common. Food is good, not very expensive, and is served without much delay. Customer service could get a little better and the overall place could get a bit more comfortable. Standing out location, easily noticeable, no specific parking other than that in the road. Ideal for a peer group rather than a family.

Great restaurant with amazing ambience !! Loved their Al Faham and Rotti. Mayo wasn't great at all !! Will try to upload more pics later !! Do visit if you wish to dine somewhere near Vellayambalam or Kowdiar.

Very good dining place to have food, place to hangout with friends and family. Interior of the restaurant is well decorated, there is a bus inside were dining is also set. Parking is on roadside, it's a let down. Staff behaviour was good, but we got gravy after we asking and when we got the gravy, food was almost over. This mistakes they need to improve. We had Al Faham with parotta, the Al Faham was good, had good taste and warm flavouring, parotta was nice bread for this, the complement mayonnaise was fabulous, had very good mayo after a long-time. It's a different vibe inside the bus, atleast once should have that experience, there are kebabs, shawai, shawarma, tikka, different types of seafood dishes and briyanis. Would like to have them on next visit. Food hunt continues....

Slow service but good food. Reasonable prices and good ambience too. Even at around 10pm there's a fairly decent rush.

Neat restaurant with wild ambience. Very good service and polite staffs. This place have good privacy and seat arrangements are also nice. Since it is inside from the road you can enjoy your meal without much urban disturbance. Food is also good and tasty. The only one cons what I felt was they do not accept cards.

One among the top of best restaurants in Trivandrum City serving quality food at a budget price. Ambience of this resto is something commendable. You get to enjoy the natural beauty combined with a spicy treat of food. Best spot in rainy season. Most recommended !

To begin with, they have a very soothing ambience. They did well with the building and the setting.

The service is alright. They try and deserve credit for that. A very humble person attended to us.

The food quality is just below average.

Not so great ! Slow service and many items on the menu are not available. Staff doesn't check in after service to clear plates or extra orders. Disappointing overall because the location, pricing and layout of the place demands a lot more from the management.

Heard this restaurant from friends. Food was good but too much smoked beef kanthaari. Good lemon tea (Sulaimani). People will love the ambience with very silent atmosphere.

Location: Near City limits ( prime location near Vellayambalam and Kawadiar ) at Jawahar Nagar.
Seating : super and larger group with great ambience
Service : Good and helpful.
Food favourite : Chicken lollipop and kallappam
Price : Reasonable
When having a restaurant in open spaces or outdoors, establishment must ensure adequate steps to ensure that insects, especially mosquitos here, do not hamper a good dining experience. Unfortunately that was not to be here. Repeated mosquito bites and couple of dragonflies falling dead or injured on table after being hit by ceiling fans.

Now the food. Bland at best. Typical common restaurant food. No signature dishes to boost about. Price is high for the same street food, probably cause you would be paying for the ambiance ( however no discount for the flying insects that join us at the table ).

2 stars for trying to give a good ambiance, unfortunately food was a let down and so were the bites that made you fear of catching a bad bug.
