Review River County - Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum)

The name has changed to Pebble restaurant. The ambiance is great. We ordered veg meals and biriyani. Meals was really good, it included avial, cabbage thoran, beetroot vazhatiyattu, parrippu, sambar, pulisherry and pickle. All the items were really delicious. Chicken biriyani was good too. Service was generally good, there are multiple huts were you can sit and have food. If you choose one near the side of river, the service could be delayed. Food priced decently. Toilets were neat.

Awesome.. The location of the restaurant, is an wonderful one. Located in the banks of River Kallar originating from Ponmudi, a hill station in Thiruvananthapuram. There is outdoor seating available here, whom which the views are awesome. Food rates are reasonable and pocket friendly. The tasty food with a good ambience is what you needed for an weekend unleash. This is the perfect destination to dine and spend some time.

There was a big delay in giving food. The order was taken 10 minutes after we reached. We ordered 2 biriyani and a chicken fry the biriyani was given after 15 minutes and the fry was 10 minutes again delay. When the fry reached we were almost finished eating. The food was good and the view of the river was also.

A very fine Resort with an attached restaurent specially maintained for Tourists visiting Ponmudi near Kallar.The atmosphere here is very calm as it is located near to river Kallar.

Great atmosphere, you can sit in a calm corner and have your lunch. The food is fine, but service is a bit slow.

We were on our way to Ponmudi (a hill station) and dropped in to River country restaurant to buy packed lunch. The food was fresh, good and tasty. Sufficient quantity. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend to everyone travelling to Ponmudi

After roaming around through Ponmudi it was late when we started feeling hungry. There were some small tea shops on the way. Finally found this place. We asked what is there. They had Biriyani and meals even at 4 pm. The rice meals was fully elaborate with sambar, paripp, achar, pappadam and a couple of other curries. The fish fry varieties that were available were Neimeen and Navara. We ordered fish fry and that was good too. Each of the meals and fish fry costed 100. The chicken curry was 120. Altogether a great experience

The Ambience is nice, adjacent to kallar river. There wasn't much option to order when I went late afternoon. I ordered pothi choru, and it's very higenic and tasty.
