Review Kalyan Veg Platter - Thrissur

Nice restaurant serves south Indian, north indian, Chinese and Italian. Food is tasty. Pizzas are good and in a different style than Domino's and Pizza hut. Price is also justifiable. Ambiance is good. Pizzas cost almost 250 for 8 pcs. Service is good. Chaat options are available in the evening. Price for a couple comes around 400

We had butter paneer and butter naan, naan had two piece n costed Rs.40, panner dish was good but not excellent, but better from some other who make it too sweet. Good staff, quick service. Chats are only after 1:30pm.

Was little sceptical after reading comments here. Food was descent. We ate wheat parotta, navaratna kurma, crispy veg starter, sweet corn soup, dal fry and veg biryani. Did not like the biryani. It was served within a reasonable time.

The food was good and economical and the atmosphere (ambience) was also very good. The employees also were very professional and helpful. There is parking also available. The washroom was clean. The food had enough quantity and the cost was comparatively less for an A/C restaurant. All in all it was a good experience. And it is one of the veg shops open after 10pm.

Tasty veg food. Good ambience. Neat and tidy place. North indian menu is really good. Expensive! Open till 10pm nowadays. The kitchen wil be closed by 9pm, so you need to order food before that. Car parking is available. The security person wil guide if the parking is full (rarely).

I haven't seen a place in Thrissur that has undergone such drastic deterioration in quality than Kalyan Veg Platter. Years ago, this was one of the best places for fine vegetarian dining, with exquisite dishes and awesome service. Now it's just yucky! (Sorry, but I couldn't get a more refined word to describe it). Tasteless, maybe even horrible food (our last experience was with their paneer butter masala aap ki pasand - (what an ironic name btw!), and their so called 'lovely corn'. I haven't tasted such horrible dishes ever in the recent past. Guys, keep this up, and I think you have a rather bleak future predicted.. #disappointed #nevergoingback #atrocious #isthisactuallyfood

I am a regular customer of their Palak Paneer and chole Palak. They use the best quality Palak in town I guess. Chaats are kind of a disappointment. I've tried only their breads for which they have an elaborate menu.<br/><br/>Biriyani-haven't heard good reviews.<br/><br/>But guys Palak dishes. The best!<br/><br/>Sad that they dont have paneer butter masala.

Always my first preference for veggi dishes. No one can beat them. Delicious, neat. They have varieties of north Indian dishes. Chats are also good except at times it turns out to be very spicy. Must recommend to all vegetarians.

I always feel every restaurant deserves 2 chances. The first time we ordered chat. Pav bhaji, bhel puri and pani puri. It tasted nothing like the original north Indian chat. And it was over priced as well.<br/>The next time we ordered aloo paratha and malai kofta. Paratha was average and kofta had a lot of spinach. But was much much better than the chat.<br/>The only advantage is they have good parking facility and u always get seats as the restaurant is never full.

Poor response from the hotel.<br/>Rejected the order after accepting the payment and not yet refunded. The hotel is always closed or not accepting the orders as said as 'technical issues' or not accepting the orders right now. All these are after accepting the payment.

We went for a late night dinner. The staff were all north Indians and they speak Hindi fluently. The ambiance was good, had a modern outlook. But the major problem was the staff itself. The staff was incapable of handling customers and did not have any hospitality standards. Now coming to the food. We expected north Indian or rather Mumbai style food. But the food served was no where near to any dishes that we get in Mumbai. Even the paneer butter masala was off the track. But if you never had any north indian food then this is the best place to try it in Thrissur. Overall had an average experience here.
