Review Sulaimani 168 - Thrissur

I mostly come here for Sulaimani tea, it's on sweet side with strong taste of cinnamon.. During covid they have taken special attention of given food in banana leaf and drinks in disposable glass.. Chicken biryani was very good,with good pieces. The Masala is kind of mild with fragrant rice.. Loved it. Also the Kizhi parotta beef was very good, with medium spice, just wonderful.. Only thing is there is not much table setup due to covid restrictions..Do visit this place if you come nearby..

Good food with a nice ambiance. Only constraint is space. Rest food quality and quantity is assured. Complimentary black tea is the highlight here. Also you can see the wall architecture of old Malayalam novel written by Basheer.

Best place to have beef biriyani in town. Enjoy biriyani served in banana leaf with sulaimani. You will get Malabar special sweets here. Chattipathiri, kilikoodu, banana sweets are delicious. Must visit.

Very nice place to have some food in afternoon.I had "Irachi choru" which is a mixture of beef and typical biriyani rice.Tasty food with very much in quantity.The main attraction of the store is snacks.Different kinds of snacks are available.Just loved the Ambience at night.

A restaurant in thrissur where you can find soo many varieties of sulaimanis and also traditional dishes like erachi chor and biriyani. I've had both biriyani and erachi chor from there which is quite good but the prices of erachi chor are on the higher side when compared with its price at restaurants at ernakulam but it's quite food

A decent place in Thrissur for a quick bite and hot Sulaimani.. the items served here are authentic North Kerala dishes and they are named in funny and interesting ways - eg: Banana Missile, Shakkeela, Irachi Pottas etc.. Friendly staff and peaceful location.. must visit place for all Sulaimani lovers of Thrissur

Malabar dishes ahoy.. If nothing else, you can randomly pick something of the menu.. And in most cases wont be disappointed but rather surprised.. Malabar taste to the fore.. Sulaimani 168 name itself is intriguing, its not English number ”168”, rather its to be read in Malayalam as "onnu arru ettey".. Which is a play on words - onu arratey - meaning in english as "let it cool", which is apt considering the sulaimani (black lemon tea) served here are super hot.. the dishes are also served hot.. The staffs are very helpful in explaining the dishes to you.. In case you are not willing to take risks... Erachi choru is particularly good along with a nice glass of sulaimani.. Nice ambience adds to the experience..

Its very rare to find hotel with malabar foods in thrissur. Mainly they serves wide range of snacks both sweet and spicy. Chicken choru and kilikoodu are my fav. Good ambience. Lack of good washrooms. Awesome interior and exterior design.

I am from tamil nadu recently i visited this hotel the ambiance was great and food was exceptionally great especially the beef and their combos completely fresh beef i eiuld higly recommend for beef lovers.

Awesome place with unique menu.. I had kizhi parotta , chilly beef and winey sulaimani. I will give a 10 out of 10 for their food.

I visitted this place 1 month aback and before that my last visit was 1 yr back .. both these time i ordered chavittikuttiya kozhi nad porrota .. in 2018 their chavitti kozhi was very tasty , at par with the original malabar taste .. but , now , it  has dropped from , say , an 8 / 10 to a 6 / 10 . Sulaimai is good and ambience is good .

low quality ZERO hygienic high prize. Sulaimani is ok but only for that can't compromise other food items low quality. More flies than the number of items . . Location wise it's good but not worthy

I bought a biryani today via zomato. which is the face value of 165... it was clear cheating.. because the quantity was very very low.... please note the customers....

Food was tasty in Earlier times . Today I ordered chicken biriyani and it was below average. The rice was much dry and no masala in biriyani rice

This is a small restaurant near to Jubilee Medical College Hospital. Most of the staffs there were energetic ladies which gives it a feel of the small Kudumbashree restaurants which you see in small towns and villages of Kerala. <br/><br/>Coming to the menu, they have a very unique set of dishes, most of it from Malabar and few innovative preparation which you won’t find anywhere else in Thrissur. This includes snacks and biryanis and rice dishes wrapped in banana leaves. I had parotta which I felt was the the ready to eat ones with chicken 168, a different fry preparation which was decent. <br/><br/>I am looking forward to going back there soon to try those Malabar snacks I saw on display on that counter outside.

The best sulaimani in town.. I have seen a lot of people sitting here just sipping a sulaimani (myself being 1 of them). Each time I fall in love more and more with the sulaimani…. The dishes here have a twist in their names…. Shakeela is a famous dish here, where meat is stuffed inside parotta and served. Another dish worth trying is chicken 168. I always see people eating biryani (at 4pm, 5pm). So finally thought of giving it a try. It was ok, definitely not the best biryani that I have had. But a good thing is that they have an option of half biryani which is usually not there in a lot of menus.<br/>I particulary like the servers here. They are honest. Once when we wanted to buy icecream, they told us that the freezer was not working and told us not to buy it. We don’t usually find such people.<br/><br/>

Delicious delicacies from malabar. Lipsmacking snacks with sulaimani and iduki gold is a must try. Winey sulaimani , anachaviti and puthapichathu were also yummy.

Awesomeness of a shack, the first thing you would notice is the simplicity of the space. With caricatures and potraits from Malayalam literature on the walls to the Sulaimani served with love.<br/><br/>They serve Tallashery style food with lots of signature dishes in the offering. Must go to place specially for youth.

This place was almost lying hidden from my sight.Came to know of it through mouth publicity.A small,cozy place.Their main attraction is the names of their dishes...Aana Chavitti,Kilikoodu,Chattipathiri,Shakeela...etc etc..😊😊😊 Ambience is OK,not that big deal,their food is innovative,some are really good,some are just mediocre & hyped up.But,after all a great place to have traditional Malabar delicacies...👍👍👌👌

A very rustic humble place i had ordered erachi choru which was served in banana leaf and with a glass of their signature sulaimani tea food tasted good staff are polite good quantity extremely satisfying for guys with a big appetite

Perfect place for a rainy day. A sip of the idukki gold just is so relaxing. This tea is perfect for the monsoon season in kerala. A banana cuttlets are also my absolute favourites.<br/>The chicken biriyani is also a must try.<br/>

cb-168 + a sip of sulaimani can take u up to the heaven, if you are lover of hyderabdi or tamil biriyani. Then this is the only place in thrissur which offers biriyani other than the usual so called biriyani (white rice biriyani). Their ever happy menu wud be #CB168 biriyani, #Mutton choru, #Shakeel (beef stuffed roti) & #Sulaimani. Their sulaimani may sumtimes remind u of the sulaimani description in the movie 'ustad hotel'.
