Review Alankar Restaurant & Tourist Home - Thrissur

Hotel Alankar is situated in the very heart of Thrissur city ... The eatery is well managed & hygiene is cautiously maintained. Food was average & service was of par excellence. Porotta was flaky & chicken fry was little too oily. Overall the taste of food was good when paired with hot tea. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants in & around Thrissur city. Parking is meager as it's situated near to National Highway. The service road leading to destination in narrow with moderate traffic.

Had Beef Biriyani from here and just loved it. Quantity and quality was way more than expected. Beef was tender and juicy. I would suggest one biriyani for 2 people. Because it has that much of quatity. They even serve egg with this biriyani. Just felt that some of their products are bit overpriced but yeah this biriyani was a good deal for me. They have maintained the cleanliness in the restaurant. And yeah they also provided pretty good space for parking too.

Great restaurant serving local kerala cuisine veg and non veg. The staff was extremely kind to tend to our needs and orders in a snappy fashion.

One of the best beef curry in Thrissur that goes really well with a hot and crispy parotta, end it with a hot tea and it feels like heaven. Everything else - biryani, chinese food, breakfast etc.all tastes pretty decent. The fish fry, prawns etc. during lunch is also fresh and tasty.

This is one of the best spots in Thrissur to enjoy delicious Kerala porotta. I highly recommend trying it with chicken or beef kondattom. You can also add some beef dry fry for an extra treat. The best part is that you can see their kitchen.

Easily accessible in post office road. They have got a great menu. Porotta and Beef fry is a must try combo. Chicken biriyani was nice. Satisfactory service provided. Available in Zomato.

When it comes to everything, taste as it is very subjective, from that point, I think I had a great biriyani from alankar, and great biriyani is rare thing to find in thrissur I guess.

Very good family restaurant in thrissur. This hotel is famous for biryani. Ambience is good. Very neat and clean place. I had mike shake from here. It was really yummy. They treat us good. There a small parking area near by it .. I am not sure whether it belongs to them..

First time I tried porotta and chicken curry... I got addicted to that. I never have porotta but tried once from here because of ma friend. Ufff... It's bit crunchy. The curry was also tasty. Don't miss this. I also love the coffee here. Biriyani is also good. I don't want to miss that the food they are serving is hygienic and delicious.

Porotta & beef roast was next level, Chicken & Beef Biriyani was also good. The only problem I faced was parking issue. There are pay and park facilities available nearby...

One of best porotta and beef I have had from thrissur. There are lot of dishes to pick from, not just this cliche items. The people at cash /reception are just grumpy face, there is nothing wrong for not being pleasant, the food was good, but their attitude make this place lose 1 star 🌟.

Nice restraunt with variety of dishes. Veg and non vegetarians are most welcome. Chicken, mutton, beef items.. Southo indian and north indian dishes. Hygenic food. Families seperate a/c hall. Halls are in the upstairs for companies get together function . Staffs are cordial. Appam, kuruma curry, parotta and chicken items are speciality of here.. Must try. Noodles items are also good... Most chinese items are available

Heared a lot about the porotta and beef fry from here, first time i tried that today. Placed an order via zomato and the delivery came very fast. The porotta was fresh, hot and tasty. Beef roast was the best in recent times. Will definitely go there again for dine in.

I recommend this restaurant for CHILLY CHICKEN, POROTTA, GHEE RICE, BEEF FRY & BIRYANI ...They do serve other items like biryani, meals & lots more.

Excellent beef fry. It is almost to eat for two people. But the gravy in hotel alankar is not good. It is not thick and very bad taste.ok bye

Overall rating 3.5/5<br/><br/>I was in Thrissur with a couple of colleagues and one of them suggested that Alankar is the place to go if you want to have parotta and beef<br/>1. Parotta - this is soft and flaky, exactly how a Kerala parotta should be<br/>2. Beef roast - super yummy<br/>3. Chilly beef (you can prefer to have it dry or gravy, I chose gravy) - the beef peices had fat and this was just okayish<br/>4. Lime juice - I guess this was made in the same jar as pineapple juice, because what I got was pineapple flavoured lime juice<br/><br/>This is a hole in the wall joint and hence do not expect any frills.

Main thing is that the food. Tasty food served elagently. Good behaviour from the management. The beef roast is my favorite dish here. The porotta made here is soft and yummy. Thanks.

Very bad experience. Not worthy by taste and quantity. And on the case of zomato.. I got 50% off on my booking on the time place order. After on the time of delivery they told that .. i have to pay full amount for that product.. i mean i didn't get the discount.. very bad
