1. Paneer Butter Masala is tasty and the quantity is also satisfying, when compared to the price charged. RATING 4/5.
2. Mushroom masala is very oily as well as spicy though there are alot pieces served in a single portion. RATING 3/5
3. Porotta from Alankar is very famous. Its huge and really really yummy. So if you are in Thrissur and craving for kerala porotta then don't doubt go for Alankar itself. RATING 5/5
4.Beef roast is really yummy but the quantity is very little.
5. Egg biriyani is not great. They have two eggs in it, Masala is very little but rice used is good. Overall RATING 2.5/5

Heared a lot about the porotta and beef fry from here, first time i tried that today. Placed an order via zomato and the delivery came very fast. The porotta was fresh, hot and tasty. Beef roast was the best in recent times. Will definitely go there again for dine in.
I recommend this restaurant for CHILLY CHICKEN, POROTTA, GHEE RICE, BEEF FRY & BIRYANI ...They do serve other items like biryani, meals & lots more.

Hotel Alankar is situated in the very heart of Thrissur city ... The eatery is well managed & hygiene is cautiously maintained.
Food was average & service was of par excellence. Porotta was flaky & chicken fry was little too oily. Overall the taste of food was good when paired with hot tea. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants in & around Thrissur city.
Parking is meager as it's situated near to National Highway. The service road leading to destination in narrow with moderate traffic.
Had Beef Biriyani from here and just loved it. Quantity and quality was way more than expected. Beef was tender and juicy. I would suggest one biriyani for 2 people. Because it has that much of quatity. They even serve egg with this biriyani. Just felt that some of their products are bit overpriced but yeah this biriyani was a good deal for me. They have maintained the cleanliness in the restaurant. And yeah they also provided pretty good space for parking too.
Great restaurant serving local kerala cuisine veg and non veg. The staff was extremely kind to tend to our needs and orders in a snappy fashion.

One of the best beef curry in Thrissur that goes really well with a hot and crispy parotta, end it with a hot tea and it feels like heaven. Everything else - biryani, chinese food, breakfast etc.all tastes pretty decent. The fish fry, prawns etc. during lunch is also fresh and tasty.
This is one of the best spots in Thrissur to enjoy delicious Kerala porotta. I highly recommend trying it with chicken or beef kondattom. You can also add some beef dry fry for an extra treat. The best part is that you can see their kitchen.
Easily accessible in post office road. They have got a great menu. Porotta and Beef fry is a must try combo. Chicken biriyani was nice. Satisfactory service provided. Available in Zomato.
When it comes to everything, taste as it is very subjective, from that point, I think I had a great biriyani from alankar, and great biriyani is rare thing to find in thrissur I guess.
