It is one of our regular stops during our travel. Excellent and tasty food. Very hospitable couple who run the restaurant. The restaurant is located now in the service lane next to the newly constructed tunnel (near the Kuthiran pass).

I ve stopping here since 9 years or more. The kuthiran tunnel project is disturbing the entry to this place if you are on way to trissur side.

Hotel Mekkattil is a drive in restaurant At the Kuthiraan valley with friendly staff and fresh food.
The best thing I remember is the helping mentality of the staff, one gentleman came with enough umbrellas to the parking lot as we were parking the car.
You will get organic fruit juices and fresh banana fries too.... that’s what I got there at that time. we tried both papaya and guava juices very tasty.
They got ample of parking space, neat and clean toilets unlike other restaurants.
A lot of space to accommodate number of people and family rooms available too.
The best thing I like was the coffee they served. It was so tasty.

We stopped for breakfast at this place enroute to Bangalore from Kochi. Had Appam, kadala curry and veg kurma. The food served was tasty and service quick.
They don't have Dosa or idli on the menu.
One of the best and healthiest food spot in the whole NH 544 or may be in all national highways. New People are noticing the spot as a flyover has been made infront of the hotel. They serve food and beverages differently everyday according to the availability of vegetables and fruits from their farm. They have fish pond too. People must support these kind of restaurants and entrepreneurs. Must try their special seasonal juices

Very unique restaurent which serve organic foods. There is an organic farm in this property. Combination like appam chicken curry, pazhampori beef roast etc are available. Fresh organic fruit juices are available. They give sample for all juices. Farm visit also available.
We had breakfast from here. Good warm food in typical kerala style. Good parking space available. Family friendly and seems to be a good pitstop for your dietary needs.
