Review Udai Art Cafe - Udaipur

Maya Dotan
I was recommended this place by travelers while touring India and had to stop by while in Udaipur. Decorated with beautiful wall art, this adorable cafe is a short walk from the City Palace and a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. We enjoyed the curd with granola and fruits as well as a nutella crepe which are featured in the photos! Highly recommended!

Long long ago in a galaxy far far away, was the Udai art cafe - heavenly food and delicious taste. Amazing variety of food and drinks at a great price!! A must visit while in Udaipur.

Coffee is ok, pretty pricy compared to other local places I think I’ll be taking up a chai drinking habit and pass on the coffee whilst in northern India. #BeatTheGrind
Omkar Parikh
Very un predictable cafe at the doors of Jagdish Temple. Wide varieties of coffees and teas. Continental breakfast.

Nice place for crepe, pie and cappucino (very good)

Visited here a couple of times as food was fresh and healthy with enough options for vegans. I can recommend the smoothie bowl which was tasty, although slightly expensive. Dishes can be made vegan on request and a vegan desert was available on my visit. Coffee wasn’t the best though, hummus platter was nice but could have been made more exciting!

A great little cafe in the heart of the old town. The coffee is excellent and the food looks very good. I love to go there for people/dog/cow/cart watching and meet interesting people from all over the world, including India! Owner always welcoming. Recommended.

Quaint little cafe near city palace. The food is fresh, the vibe and music is lovely. We had the mushroom sandwich, hummus platter and Affogato. Everything tasted delicious and filling, the pricing is perfect too.

Best coffee in Asia! You will feel you are in very good cafe in Europe, no joke. Actually many European cafes are not as good... So full recommendation! Food also very good, all continental stuff :) Plus nice deco and exhibitions of local artists, so nice if you wish to buy some art too and get connected with artist world in Udaipur

You have a large variety of some nice coffee over here, even vegan capuccino is an option. You can also eat over here, wich we did. The food was tasty and very nutricious. Staff is good and the place is very cosy. Recommend this place!

Udai Art Cafe- An enjoyable place for delicious breakfast. It is located near Jagdish temple. They offer good artisan coffee and sandwiches at a reasonable price. Their speciality is Greek inspired breakfast along with English breakfast. This place is nicely decoared with relaxed atmosphere. Seating is generally Indian styled with pillows kept on sofas. Analysis Espresso coffee French toast with cheese Tomato onion omelette Decent place while around Gangaur ghat and Jagdish temple.

Excellent coffee. Best i had after 1 months and 6 cities in India. A tiny bit over priced maybe, but im glad to pay if im getting what i want: good coffee. Music is a plus: rn playing some sort of weird Abba version/cover “bc the night belongs to lovers” ...amazing! Glad to have found this lil’ nest where i can come back for nice barista style cappuccinos!

Great little cafe owned by a local artist and featuring paintings made by artists in Udaipur. Tasty food, fine prices, for non-vegetarian breakfast they have bacon and chicken sausage. 👍

Located near City palace. Cafe is situated in chandpole market. The artistic ambience is good. I ordered pineapple pancakes with ice tea. The food tastes average. Pancakes were soft but there was so much cinnamon in it that I don't like. Ice tea was also ok.

While wandering around the old town, we stopped at this charming little cafe. Great healthy breakfast as well as good place to stop for a quick lunch. Good job guys!

Nice place, good coffee, pretty interiors but service is slow. Also it is pretty evident by their behaviour that they expect a certain class of clients and are not interested in hosting backpackers. I hope the staff improves their behaviour on my next visit.

Staff is polite. We've ordered omlette and scrambbled egg it was nice and authentic one. Aap it was prepared by some foreigner lady so no doubt in that regard.

A decent ambience. Really liked the food here. A different kind of menu, not many options for vegetarians. Loved the desserts here. And the iced cappuccino which even the staff here endorses as the best one.

A tiny place near Jagdish Temple one might just miss. But, luckily for us, we found this cafe while searching for a decent place to sit and have a little to eat. The ambience is pretty good, with plenty of wall art and soothing music. One would find more foreigners here than Indians because of its exotic menu and the fact that this place is owned and run by 2 greek women. The staff was pretty good and friendly, the food definitely didn't disappoint. We ordered a chicken club sandwich, an iced cappuccino and a frappe. All of it was AMAZING! One of the best meals we had in Udaipur! Don't miss this while on a vacation to Udaipur.

Delicious food and a very warm staff. The ginger lemon tea and the vegetable omlette with kormos would be highly recommended. The place itself is highly recommended.

Great cafe with a cool hangout ambience. Must try the vegetable crepes, which is soft on the outside with mild tasting veggies that retain their freshness and taste.

Great iced chocolate! We ordered a vegetarian crepe which was amazing. The club sandwich was also interesting. Hospitality is wonderful and personal. Ambience is peaceful

Owned by a Greek women, the cafe looked like an art cafe amidst the lanes of Udaipur. The staff was courteous and well spoken. We were the only desi lot who were there for breakfast. We were staying in City palace hence this was walking distance. I am so glad we chose this for breakfast. Everything was fresh from coffee to juices to even our sandwich. You can actually see them making it. Fresh food really taste far better. Interiors are blue, it's a tiny place and a must visit.

Not what you expect from a café in old city. Ordered a latte but instead got a regular coffee. Oreo shake was not drinkable using a straw coz of the lumps in it. Also, if u hate dogs, this is not a place for you. Coz even if you love dogs, they won't let you enjoy your food or drink in peace.

Well when you are in udaipur you wish to be sited facing lake side and felling the fresh air of the famous lake pichola I visited the place with my bae service was good interior was average yes u can enjoy the foreigners sitting there and the noice of city side I tried only ginger honey tea which was suggested me and it was good you can give a try ... parking issue will be there as we have to park our 2 wheeler at gangaur ghat and have to take a walk . Am still confused was it worth to sit there and drink or eat ? When we can have the same with lake view and a better ambience .

A pretty much touristy cafe filled with tourists for its atmosphere. Located right near Jagdish temple it is bound to attract tourists because of which it has higher prices. Food is above average and they have very friendly and courteous staff.

Amidst the traditional Rajasthani architecture and Rajwadi food, I came accords this Greek cafe in the tourist hub; Udaipur!

It gave me a really welcoming and pleasing break from the Indian culture to sit back and enjoy a nice warm latte while my co-traveler worked alongside.

Loved the calm blue interiors and the peaceful vibe it gave.

I really appreciate the quality and standard of this cafe which is very efficiently maintained by 2 Greek women all out of passion for food and exploring culture!

Would come back again when I visit Udaipur again 😊

Cozy coffeshop/cafe with fantastic coffees and fresh breakfast options. The scrambled eggs with cheese, onion & olives on toast was simple, yet delicious. The Americano was perfect. Great service and good wifi, too. Highly recommended.

Very nicely decorated cafe and beautiful setting. Food and drinks are pretty good in taste. You will get one of the city's best crepes and espresso here. Ideal place to rest your tiring legs while exploring the old city area. Very close to Jagdish Chowk and gangur ghat. Their menu offers quite a choice for breakfast. The juices are freshly made which is becoming a rare in the city cafes. Overall a very nice experience. Must try in old city area.
