Review The Bungalow Udaipur - Udaipur

We went for a family dinner. Ambience is good for outside sitting, nothing special indoor. We ordered mushroom matar masala, butter naan, jeera rice and dhungar maans. Mushroom masala was outstanding and very nice in taste. Nothing special in dhungar maans, infact mutton pieces were very small and quantity was less. Butter naan was also good and size was good. Overall good experience because of ambience and food taste.

I visited this place twice cz when I visited I just loved the food. We had proper meal tandoori roti and dungar mass. And it was to die for. So next time I thought will try something else. I ordered Alfredo pasta and pita pocket they are really not up to the mark. But other than that the place is beautiful, staff is great and even the owner was there to interact with customers.

Nice place and good and peaceful ambiance.As per choice you sit and enjoy your food outside or sit inside the AC restaurant. The food tastes great be it beg or non veg. Do not forget to click photos on the old bullet kept out side the restaurant.

Newly opened place in Udaipur. A must visit. Great ambience and the food is exceptionally good. This is a bungalow converted into a restaurant with an outdoor dining areas the highlight is a collectors 1940'S royal enfield a collectors pride.

Amazing restaurant, they have converted an old house into restaurant... Have outdoor seating and indoor seating too... Best part is they have personal dinning rooms which gives you that privacy which you need with your family... Food is excellent and service is very good...

Happening place to visit with friends and family. Good, unique ambience! A bit costly but good service. Moderately crowded. Outer place is nicely arranged to enjoy your evenings. I tried hot chocolate there it was average.

A decent place, nice ambience, service was good too. Coming to food the chilly chicken was too sweet as if they mistook chilly for sugar!! But after telling the waiter about it they do gt it corrected but no use. We were skeptical about the main course we ordered but the chef special jeera chicken was delicious and different from the regular chicken curries we have at other places.. do try that. The breads were good too..overall a good experience minus the chilly chicken ofcourse.

One of the best restraunts to visit in udaipur . Pad thai noodles recepie of love and food combined . The special halwa was delicious . The barbeque chicken was new try for me which turned out to be amazing Absolutely loved the place !! 😊😊

It was my third visit to the Bungalow, and love the taste of the food. The Ambiance is cool, and organized. Visit here in the rainy days and opt to have a sitting in garden., I'm sure you will love this more than the food.

Food and service were excellent. Very tasty and flavorful dishes. Our US family on a Udaipur tour stopped for lunch and Raghu was very helpful and spoke very good English!

The restaurant serves really good meals. There they have all the options too choose from vegetarian to non vegetarian. As I'm vegetarian i choose vegetarian options and was 100% satisfied with the meals and services. The ambience and the seating arrangements are very well done whether it's indoor or outdoor. Very much sophisticated indoor and casual outdoor. Really enjoyed a lot. Will recommend to visit again and again & I will also visit again.

The setup of the place is nice . Outdoor and indoor both available . The also have the private seating available . We sat outdoor for a pleasent view . Dal takda was dissappointing by its taste . This place is superb. The staff is courteous. Food is amazingly good and fresh. On your trip to Udaipur you must come here or you will miss out on authentic food. Totally recommended!

This Restuarant is near Sahiliyon ki Bari. Very nice and decent ambience with seating arrangements made both inside as well as outside. Mostly people from other countries visit here for boozing. The staff here was very helpful and polite. Also they had a variety in drinks and food. We were here for light lunch.<br/><br/>What we had:<br/>Jeera Rice and Dal Tadka - 4.5/5 - The Dal had a really different taste. Jeera rice was soft and tasty too.<br/>Chicken Tikka - 4.5/5 - The quantity was very good with sizzling red Tandoori flavor.<br/><br/>Overall the whole experience was good. Will like to try more dishes from here. Even the price here was decent. Recommended truly!

This place gives you the vibes of old havelis with modern touch. It is a homestay on top floor and a fine dining restaurant on ground floor mostly famous for their European group lunch. So we made a decision to go there for a dinner, i loved the ambience truly beautiful. It is indeed a fine dining experience. Their menu is extremely elaborated, with variety of some exotic dishes like quails and Khargosh. We ordered fish Amritsari on starter and chicken Jholwala inain course. Service is quick but the food was'nt upto the mark, the portion size and the taste were felt like that the prices are quite high.

The ambience of this place is just perfect with soft music. Love the decor and neutral colour which soothen the eye.<br/>The food that we order is golden crispy corn which i love the most and in main course paneer tikka masala which real give perfect flavour of smoking tikka.<br/>The service attendent Mr. Mohan was very humble and polite and service was very good.

It is a old colonial style bungalow that has been converted so beautifully into a restaurant.<br/><br/>This place is just love. everything here from the interior to the cutlery is so well placed you just feel like being transported into a magical world. <br/><br/>The food is equivalently great with their friendly staff. We were recommended to visit this place by many people so finally we got the chance to visit this place for dinner on 10th August 2019.<br/>We were 2 people and booked the table in advance. Due to rains, outdoor seating was not possible so we were seated inside. <br/>We must say ambience is really very good- both indoor and outdoor. Lovely interiors!!<br/>We ordered Stuffed mushroom starter, paneer makhani, garlic paratha and lachcha paratha.<br/>First they served complimentary papad and chutney. Then they got main course directly. We asked about the starter and they said it will take time.<br/>Once the subji was served, we found hair in it. It was clearly visible.<br/>When we informed the manager, he "happily" said that everyone wears cap in the kitchen so he doesn't know how it happened. And he said that he will change it. Not apologetic at all!!It took another 10-15 minutes but the starter did not come.  <br/>Again main course came, paneer makhani is supposed to be creamy but not bland right? Lacha paratha was super tasteless. Garlic paratha was not seasoned as well too. Really bad!<br/>We finished everything as it was 10.30 pm and we were hungry and then the starter came. We were quite full!<br/>Irony? The only saving grace i.e, mushrooms which looked and tasted great - we just had 1 piece each out of some 8-9 pieces which they served. And then we ultimately took it as parcel and gave it to someone. Whats the use of paying 1000 rs for such a food which was not good and the food which was good came so late that we were not able to have it!!!

Bungalow provides decent option for laid back dinner. We went there for a friend's birthday and felt as though the place was all for us. The ambience was clean and simple. The service was good. The food on the whole was balanced and tasty - not too spicy, nor bland. The mushroom tikka was juicy and flavourful. The ker sangri was delightful. The gatta was ok - a little too hard for me. The dessert was nothing exceptional.<br/>On the whole, a good evening with friends. Recommended.

Enjoyed my cousin's birthday dinner there. A pretty, cozy and personal setting that would be nice for quiet, peaceful dinners with close ones. The seating is divided across 3-4 rooms of varying capacity, akin to Royal Repast. But, unlike Royal Repast, this outlet does not have a heritage feel. <br/><br/>The food was above average, but not spectacular. The hara bhara kebab was moist, flavourful and Delish - better than most I have had in the past. The mushroom tikka was alright - decent, but not special. For main course, we had gatte ki sabzi, palak paneer and bhindi kurkure. The gatta was too dry and hard - a very poor representative of its ilk - for a Rajasthani speciality, this was a downer. The palak paneer was good, while the bhindi was excellent. <br/><br/>One the whole, food was a mixed bag. A good option as a complete package - worth a few visits with close friends or family.

Nice ambience, both garden and indoor seating, quick service, polite staff, delicious food especially paneer chilly with soft cottage cheese chunks, appropriate sauces, mild spices. However, the serving was less in comparison to the price charged. White sauce pasta was hot and yummy, but no english vegetables were served especially bell peppers which is a basic serving. Subz Biryani was perfect in terms of rice being boiled correctly, lot of healthy vegetables, apt quantity of spices and accurate serving in comparison to the price.<br/>Will definitely visit again to try other dishes.

It’s a bungalow turned restaurant. Nice concept. The staff is polite and good. They do care about your comfort. The Italian food is fabulous and soups too. Enjoyable place for small parties and get-togethers.

We were in all 13 people and had booked the inside room for dinner. When you enter the property the ambience is amazing. Personally I liked the temporary roof which was there in the outside. One can enjoy the lunch also in winters out here. I was pretty much impressed with the hospitality as all try arrangements were nicely done inside the room which we had booked. When we ordered 'dahi ke kebab' it was really a nice gesture by the waiter to inform us that the curd is sour and you can order other thing if preferable. Though we ordered the same thing and the kebab were a little sour but the taste was amazing. Other starters were delicious. There main course specially baingan ka bharta and Punjabi Kashmiri aloo were amazing. Overall had a very nice experience. Must visit for awesome food.<br/>

Went there for the first time as we were impressed with the new concept of a restaurant inside a bungalow. Well, I feel pleased to inform that the title goes well with the actual building. The interior is quite beautiful. The food was dainty. Service was pretty satisfying. Staff was polite and calm. Menu has alot of varieties. Totally happy about my experience. Mouth watering and finger licking!! We had ordered smoked bengan bhartha - it was just too good! Never had such bengan bhartha anywhere before! Mewari khichdi was again wow! I had gone there with family.. I wanna go there again and again!! Since it was raining we did not get a change to sit outside but the inside ambience was very chic too! I particularly liked the elegant floral upholstery!!

Really had a great time last weekend at this restaurant with some lip smacking food(must try: mutton shole/lasooni chicken tikka/mutton rogan josh)...the Al fresco dining is well setup and the indoor seating looks chic and gives a homely feel to your dining experience...the owners are really passionate about what they are serving, which takes ur experience to an all time high...Thanks Arya and the entire team of The Bunglow.

Went to this beautiful restaurant with my friends for kitty party, the manager gave us the main hall which was very elegantly decorated, we ordered dahi ke kebab, honey chilli patato and murg jalebi kebab(something very unique) for starters and paneer lababdaar, daal makhni, butter chicken, mewari khichdi and dahi palak for main course. All the dishes were made to perfection, the taste was unmatched and the service was prompt. It was a great experience overall.

Went to this really nice restaurant for Lunch today with my friends. A great find, we had a new chicken dish called Chicken Kkhada Masala which was amazing and smoked yougurt 'Dahi Palak' which was amazing in this hot summer weather and the place was nicely chilled with superb air-con. We had this great cocktail 'Dai Quiry' which was very well made. They also had Happy hours so we enjoyed some good beer!! Over all a great place to be.

A beautiful place with the traditional ambience to give you a feeling of how the Rajasthani culture is. Went to this restaurant on recommendation of my cousin, who celebrated new years eve at this place. <br/><br/>Coming to the food, we had Rajasthani special food: Kadi, khichdi, mewari macchi, chicken curry and butter naan which had an amazing taste up to the mark and as expected. <br/><br/>Things I loved about the restaurant was it's ambience and interior which can steal your heart with the perfect variety in menu. <br/><br/>Sure recommendation for giving a cherishing experience.

Amazing ambience friendly hosts and wide variety of mouth watering dishes. Cap all that with a no of non alcholic and alcholic beverages. The non veg dishes available really take your experience to the next level. The Khad khargosh is a definate yes. Private rooms can be reserved for you and your family/friends in advance. is A must visit in the historic city of Udaipur.

Took my company team to dinner here. The staff was really helpful in arranging the inner dining room for 25 people. Also the service was impeccable. The place is nicely decorated and cosy as well. We were a bit noisy as we were a bunch and playing games etc. but they managed other guests so nobody was troubled. The food was really nice. Would definitely visit again to try more dishes.

Visited this beautiful place sometime in the last week of November for Sunday brunch. This boutique restaurant has a cozy indoor seating with European touch and an open-air or al-fresco seating which makes it a prefect brunch place.<br/>Moving on to food. We started with Murg Jalebi kebab. It was just like any other Chicken fried kebab but with a unique preparation. It was shaped spiral like a Jalebi which was appealing to the eye and something unique to try.<br/>Not very satisfied with the above ordered dish we went ahead with our all time favourite fish tikka with tartare dip. I must say we weren't disappointed. It was tasty and perfect. Tender from inside and crisp at the top.<br/>For mains we thought of ordering from the continental menu so opted for Chicken Marengo. It was the star dish of the afternoon. Not only it looked pretty it tasted delicious. I was delighted to see my plate full of grilled veggies and a chicken breast sauteed in butter , garlic and herbs topped with a@ fried egg. I was trying this dish for the first time so can't comment if the taste was authentic but for sure it was delicious and exactly what I wanted.<br/>Our food was accompanied with lime water which was refreshing and we ended our meal with a brownie and ice cream.<br/>Overall a good place for a casual outing.<br/>With Anubhav Mohanty

A peaceful place to go out for a meal whether it's with friends or family. Tried different mutton dishes and everything tasted just the way it's supposed to and a mix of naan and roti which again were perfect.

A nice place, away from the chaos of the city. Ambience is totally in line with the name of this place. I would really spend some time to praise chef of this place as he has presented a dish we have ordered in a different way than what we have had at any other usual place.

Ambience is good. Khichdi is good. They have some obsession with caramelised onion its everywhere on there food. Crispy chicken looks like turd,tastes okay.

One my favourite restaurant in Udaipur. Give it a try guys. Only for that dahi palak dish and also dahi ke kebab I’ll visit Udaipur again.highly recommend this place.

In midst of the palatial havelis and palaces of udaipur the Bungalow stands distinguished as it has maintained a balance between simplicity and extravaganza. The feeling of being in the bungalow is totally different it takes you back in time and the background symphony seems to stop every clock. The interiors are mesmerizing. <br/>The food is truly synonymous to it's description in the menu. The presentation of the dishes is mouth watering and the taste is amazing. I would recommend chicken BBQ ,Mewari Macchi , lacchcha parantha. The quality of breads is superb.

There are some places which delight you as soon as you enter those, and make you feel nice about discovering them when you leave. The Bunglow seemed to be just that place. From the ambience to the decor to the warm welcoming staff to the beyond amazing food, every bit of this place makes it the perfect one to hang out with your close ones. There'd be hardly any soul in Udaipur who wouldn't have visited this cutesy quirky place. The place was full even on Monday afternoon. I can visit this place countless times and still be in love with it just the same. Overall, an amazing experience with exhilarating food. Looking forward to visiting The Bunglow again, soon💗

We ate in this restaurant on a couple of occasions whilst staying in Udaipur. The food is excellent, the service is good and the place has such a cozy feeling to it. The restaurant is elegantly designed and so is their food presentation. Will surely recommend.
