Review Navidya Restaurant - Udaipur

Vishal Shastri
Amazing service of whole staff and Govindbhai treat very well particularly to my daughter and served all items on table. I love and enjoy the service and food 🍲 very much. Hospitality names proved by them and you can get all options in breakfast. If any item you found become cold they serve new one with hot item. We called it bahubali πŸ³β˜•πŸž breakfast

Rajasthani cuisine at its best! Every item in the thali is finger-licking delicious. The thali is almost impossible for one person to finish. The service is phenomenal and the atmosphere is peaceful. Loved the gatte ki sabji and dal bati.

Navidya gets a 10/5 from me. It is located 10 mins' walk from Saheliyon ki Bari. The staff is extremely kind and courteous, and they explain each dish to you. They treat you like royalty. The Rajasthani platter, which was unlimited, is the tastiest that I have eaten so far. Each dish was yumm and had a unique flavor. I'm definitely coming back here again!

Amantra Comfort Hotel near Sahelion Ki Bari offers a prime location and clean, comfortable rooms. While I didn't stay overnight, the dinner experience was exceptional, boasting delicious multi-cuisine dishes that left a lasting impression. Highly recommended for a traditional food in Udaipur!

If you want to try authentic Rajasthani thali, this is the place you must visit. It’s a veg restaurant near saheliyon ki bari. Subscribe to my YouTube channel foodandtraveltales for detailed videos.

Food presentation can be improved as food was very tasty and filling, a good presentation will does the trick as food price is competitive.

Superb restaurant. You will get very tasty food here. We ate more than 5 meal there before reviewing this restaurant. Food quality is great. All items are very tasty jn lunch and dinner. Breakfast could be better. Staff behaviour is very polite and helpful. Service was slow during lunch and dinner. Rajasthani thali is good but some items do not match like butter roti and gutte ki sabzi or kadhi and jeera rice.

The ambience was nice. Dal bati is must try. Overall food was very nice. A good place for the filling the tummy. The staff was also very nice and also served the food very warmly. A must go place for food lovers.

One of the best fine dining restaurant in Udaipur, the staff here is very warm and polite. The food is so tempting and delecious. The expertise in the Rajhastjai thali and dilkhush malai kofta.
Chanchal Rathi
Prompt service. The cheese garlic naan, pizza amantre and dal taka were clearly the highlights!! If you had a long day travel, pick this as your dinner place

Such a great place to eat. Their service was very good and the food was awesome. Bati tastes like i am eating at home. The complimentary snack was also very good. Overall I would give it a 5 star rating. πŸ˜‹

Veg biryani u mentioned in best seller and u guys don't know which kind of rice and masala we use in biryani
When we are packing biryani in bowl than at least you should have keep spoon and salt, although I mentioned in my order for that.

Place was really good.. staff was courteous, polite and trying to help in any way possible. They even explained the right way to enjoy your meal.

Traditional rajasthani thali was amazing. Food was great, service was great, presentation was on point, ambiance was soothing.

Food is priced reasonably, and worth every penny

Just don't fill yourself up with soup and chips from starters for thali, or you wouldn't be able to enjoy your thali completely.
Jash Reshamwala
We go here frequently for their buffet breakfast.
It is value for money, good taste, a widespread buffet and amazing service everytime. Recommended.

This place is really very good for vegetarians. I don't know about non-vegetarian menu. Staff is very polite and courteous. Level of hygiene is pretty good (inside kitchen... We don't know). Variety of snacks and main course is good but I was surprised to notice absence of biryani. Roti was really soft and buttery (not oily) but it was bit smaller compared to what size we get at other places. overall... Good experience
Ashish The Foodmaniac
Excellent. Just excellent. We went for the breakfast buffet. In just 260 rs you have more than 35 dishes. It's just veg still it's a good spread. Paranthas, puri and the daal was killer. Desserts were delicious. Really a great place.

Another Vegetarian outing for me on my last trip to Udaipur and another good experience. Though it's a self service Thali concept, it doesn't take away the good taste and the amazing service these guys have. Great!
Sana Bhatkar
Food is okay. We tried indian, continental and chinese. Daal khichdi is nice but rest of the dishes were not at all good. You would get better taste in low rated restaurants.

Awsome Dining and Breakfast Buffet.

Specially Mawa gulab jamuns are absolutely to die for.. melting in mouth.

Service is the best i have seen.
They are polite and serve you food as if its ur own home and are attentive throughout ur food.

Besides thali we had opted for complimentary breakfast which is a big spread of multiple mouth watering food items.
Must try you will not forget the experience.

Tooo good.
We had fixed rajasthani thali. Amazing taste.
Staff and service was very good...
Enjoyed dal bati served by Ramlaal ji who made us feel like home...
Worth trying when in Udaipur...
At Amantra I have had some of the tastiest meals. Over the years have tried all dishes. Wonderful service. Great staff. Reasonable price. Would strongly recommend both, the restaurant for food as well as the hotel for stay.
Batul Kachwala
We went to this place to satisfy our cravings for Rajasthani thali. The thali had 15 items all together. They serve the soup first. They allow sharing of thali as it is not possible for one person to finish the entire thing and they don't believe in wasting food. Every item on the thali tasted excellent. They also explain the every dish and its origin. The staff there is very friendly. Not only the serving staff but every member working there is friendly. This restaurant is in a hotel. From the moment you step in the hotel till you leave, they make you feel like home. If you wish to leave a place with satisfied cravings, gorging on a heavenly feast and a huge wide smile on your face then this place needs to be in your list.

Really Great hospitality, Delicious Rajasthani food with good service, specially daal baati and serving guy. Thanks for ultimate good food..

This place offers amazing food. We had their rajasthani thali last night and trust me that tasted soooo good. Plus the best part is they allow you to share since the portion size is too big for anyone to finsh. Their ker sangri is to die for...

Amazing food, courteous and attentive staff... value for money meal 😁
Highly recommended 🀩

Great food, courteous staff. Ordered a Rajasthani thali which is good enough for two people and I appreciate that the staff proactively mentioned that.I went to Udaipur with a lot of anticipation of enjoying authentic Rajasthani food but Amantra was the only place that had Ker Sangri.

Amazing Rajasthani thali - unforgettable experience

My first Rajasthani thali with so many options that can fill your stomach and get your senses fulfilled.

While they bring your food they give you papad to eat.

They provide 13 different dishes in the plate. Two dry veggies, two gravy sabjies and dal n kadhi n sweet n papad n dahi and rice and buttermilk and so on n so forth.

They let you share the thali as it is too big for one person. Everything is delicious and they serve you more once u finish a dish.

Mawa gulab jamuns are absolutely to die for.. melting in mouth.

Service is the best i have seen. They are polite and serve you food as if its ur own home and are attentive throughout ur food.

Besides thali we had opted for complimentary breakfast which is a big spread of multiple mouth watering food items.

It is the most reasonable and best Rajasthani thali in Udaipur. Must try you will not forget the experience.

Overall Ratings-

Ambience - 4.5/5
Food - 5/5
Service - 5/5
Value for money - 5/5

Note: I have attached pictures of breakfast & Rajasthani Thali attached with this review.
Checkout the captions below the images to differentiate both.

An amazing place for spend your time.
service of this place is praiseworthy.
Ambience is damn good.
Food is not as spicy as we want.
This place is austere and sitting space is also sober. Staff look pleasant.
Ambience 4/5
Hospitality 5/5
Food
Paneer chilly 3/5
Cheese chilly garlic Toast 4/5
Suggestions for management- You should improve your food taste. Really good food with amazing staff...definitely recommended n value for money
Provides authentic Rajasthani thali n best part is that they allow to share

Visited this place with friends and family for dinner. The staff is really courteous. We requested them to serve the Rajasthani thali that's currently served only during lunch hours and they obliged. The thali is amazing and all the dishes served in it are tasty. Liked the gatta curry, kadhi pakoda, bajra roti the most. Baked macaroni was average. Overall must visit if u r in Udaipur.
Sujan Bandyopadhyay
Good place for traditional Rajasthani thali. Portions are quite a bit and they let you share .

Service is really good and prompt. There is a lot of variety in the food, and I think it's quite authentic.

Had a family dinner here. We celebrated birthday party. Staff was quite supportive and helped us in serving cake. Delicious mouth watering food was served on table with quick service.

Complete bill was pocket friendly. If you are looking for lavish main course dinner with family surroundings, then must go for it πŸ‘πŸ»

I am short of words for the experience I had here. We actually stayed here. The staff is so so nice and
friendly. They make your stay very comfortable 😊.

Now coming to the food they serve. It's extremely tasty and gives you the most authentic taste of udaipur's regional cuisine. We had many things including their fixed lunch thali which is very very tasty specially the chhaas and the kadhi. It was amazing. Also, the breakfast buffet is praise worthy. The menu changes everyday and has a wide variety to choose from. Must try , according to me is:-
1. Manchow soup
2. Salt and pepper
3. Kadhi with fafda
4. Chhas
5. Chutneys
6. Aloo poori

Attaching some photos of the food we tried....
Had high expectations from this place as the reviews on Zomato were so good.
But we were quite disappointed with the food.
The service is very good but the food wasn’t satisfactory.
The thali sure looks appetising but it didn’t taste very good.
Ameya
This is a Thali place! You can order al-a-carte but trust me, don’t! They serve you crispies to munch on while you Thali arrives. Common amongst many places in Rajasthan.
The Thali is a large one! 2 can definitely have this. Our first time with Ker sangri served in winters. This is a local dish which is a must try. Everything else starting from Dal Bati Choorma to the Gulab Jamun was mind blowing. Gatte ki subzi was perfectly cooked.
Request: Please provide valet parking and extra seating while we wait for our tables.

Served with a lot of love. Very heartwarming experience. :) The thali was amazing, our waiter explained how to eat each dish, and we learnt what 'mehman-nawazi' really is!
A must visit when you're in Udaipur!

We had food there last night . The Rajasthani Thali was amazing with the spread and the Dal bati churma was perfect. . Have not tasted better black Dal. The ghee was fresh.ker sangri with cashew was a new style. Great value for money. The biryani was tasty but would have preferred if the rice was a better quality. The Dal makhni and naan were good too. service was good. Ambience is simple but great value for the price and food overall tasty and warm hospitality.
.

We were impressed by the sheer focus on good hospitality, whether it was customizing our drinks for individual preferences, making food with \ without specific ingredients, or even finding a balloon for our toddlers :).
The food is nice and so is the ambience.

Ordered rajasthani thali. Must say one of the best i have ever had. Plus the quantity was just perfect for the meal for two people. Staff was also veey cooperative. We even stayed there. The breakfast was also good. Good choice of menu for breakfast.

Nice food. Authentic Rajasthani thali must try. It is very near to saheliyo ki badi. Must try if you want to test pure Rajasthani food. Highly recommended

Anyone travelling via Udaipur or staying here should give the Thali a try. A warning - Thali is big enough for two people. Amazing taste will last right from the start of the meal till you go home

Oh yeah - we were hungry and wanted to grab some Rajasthani thali as we didn't want to do much page flipping through the menus on what to order. Surfed a little for a better option and figured Amantra! And we weren't put down and ordered Rajasthani Thalis! They serve lot in a thali for ones appetite!

They welcomed us with some fritters - better called as fryums :)

They served Tomato Dhaniya Shorba - freshening smell of Dhaniya made the tomato Shorba tastier. (I don't like the tomato soups, if they aren't any different ;) )
And then came the huge thali with Jeera Rice, Choice of Rotis (We ordered Missi - they had Missi , Bajra and Tandoori), Chaanch (The buttermilk - it was nice, made the tummy feel a little lighter after that huge thali), Gatte ki Sabji, Paneer Butter Masala (This tasted rightly and little different as they had added sweetcorns to it), Aloo Jeera (Evenly cooked, tasted good - but they had bit of extra oil) , Daal Bhati Churma ( They served in different bowls - but the server said how we can have it - either with the Churma, if we wanted it to be sweet or with Lehsun ka chutney, this chutney was hot and fiery! - so we prefered the former) - Daal tasted nice, Churma was little extra sugary and the Bhati was okay - it didn't have any authentic smell. They also served a roasted Papad, Kadi, Salad and a Raj Bhog (This tasted yummy).
The thali also had Ker Sangri - neither me nor my husband liked it - I mean the Ker Sangri , so we didnt taste it here.

Is it pocket friendly - Yes
Do they serve right quality and quantity - Yes they do and quantity is huge.
Do I recommend the place - Yes, I definitely do.

This restaurant fulfilled my dream of having an authentic Rajasthani Thali on a cold holiday trip to one of the most amazing Rajasthani city; Udaipur. πŸ˜€

It's was fixed thali, not unlimited but it was hard to finish it anyway. Huge serving!

Loved the variety of dishes I've never seen on a North Indian thali before. Great flavor!

Good ambience but most of all, incredible hospitality! Amazing staff.πŸ€—

I was very well pampered throughout my visit till I left the property premise.

One of the must visit spot in Udaipur.
P.S. you need to be very hungry to go through this. 😏

Amantra is a hotel near saheliyo ki Badi, Udaipur. Went here for lunch after reading good reviews and I was surely not disappointed.. the ambience is nice. We were promptly seated. We ordered 2 Rajasthani thalis as they said that would be enough for 2 people.. they started with a huge bowl complimentary fryums.. Thali included a good variety, aloo sabzi, sangri sybzi, gutta curry, kadi, paneer corn, daal bati churma, papad, rice, roti and gulab jamun. The food (all the things ) were quite good. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. :-)

Loved the Rajasthani Thaali here. I was a resident here for 2 days, so enjoyed the breakfast as well. Taste wise, they are not so rich, however, the varieties takes your heart away. You have so many things to eat in breakfast.
Sandeep Goel
One of the must eat while you are in udaipur
Get 1 Rajasthani thali which will be sufficient for two
And you will not regret, the quantity and the taste are the factors.
Sidhsjain
Good food, good taste. Worth paying for the food. Nice ambience. And silent place also. Variety of food is available. Being in Udaipur. GOOD PLACE :)
Miss Cravings
Being in Rajasthan we were craving a fine Rajasthani Thali. Our cab driver suggested us this place. Since it was our last meal in Jodhpur and we had already had our dinner so we decided to take just 1 thali and share it. Coming to the hospitality which worth a mention, take a bow guys the staff is so hospitable, we actually felt like royals because of the royal treatment and hospitality given by their staff. Now coming to the Rajasthani Thali that we ordered, it was by far the best authentic and tastiest Rajasthani Thali we guys have ever had. It was the best because none of the preparation in the thali was bad.

I will definitely recommend it to my friends and will also come here on y next visit to Udaipur.

IN A NUTSHELL

Staff and Service: 5/5

Food: 5/5

Drinks: 4/5

INTERIORS AND AMBIENCE 4/5

PRICE AS PER PORTION 4.5/5

Happy Cravings :)

Good ambience, excellent service ,nice food and mellow music been played in the back ground. What else a person would be needing ? "Food for the stomach and music for the soul "
Kritya Nand Jha
A friend recommended this place. Located in the heart of panchwati, this restaurant is very good interiors and friendly staff. We thought that the dishes must be heavy on pocket. But the rajasthani meal was cheap and each thali was enough for 2 people. All the dishes were well prepared and served well. Standard thali had ker sangri, gatte ki sabji, paneer shorma, kadi, dal bati churma, fried rice, papad, any 2 type of roti, gulab jamun. Try bajra roti.

Ambience-4.5/5
Value for money-4/5
Quality of food-4/5

We had an amazing Rajasthani Thali here.
At first glance, it looked like the standard Rajasthani fare where they load twenty odd varieties on your plate. I've always felt that the more items you have the higher the chance of screwing them up.
Not here, though.
The bati churma was the best I've ever had. The Paneer sabzi was amazing, quite soft with zesty flavors. Every single unit, from the Gulab Jamuns, to the Missi Roti, to the masala chaas had distinct tastes and flavors. The one single issue I had was with the dal. It was a tad bland unlike all dal's I've had in such places.
We stayed at this hotel and had our lunch here not expecting much. It was quite the pleasant surprise.

Awesome Rajasthani Thali...Excellent service. Worth visiting for having authenticate Rajasthani food. Presentation and restaurant ambience is also very nice.

Good food. Hygienic. Nice service. A native of Udaipur took me here today and we enjoyed the Rajasthani Veg Thali which had Dal, Kadi, Besan gatta, spicy garlic chutney, Kachumar salad, Tandoori Roti, Missi Roti, Pulao, Bajre Roti, Choorma, Chaas

We are on a trip to Rajasthan and we were staying at Amantara hotel. So we had our breakfast here.

Ambience is neat and elegant didn't hamper too much gaudi decor.

Staff are very duteous and friendly.

Since we opted for buffet, there was so much to choose from. Loved everything, especially poha was my personal favorite.

Don't know about the alacarte and lunch, but breakfast was definitely worth it.
Shivesh Gupta
Very nice hospitality at restaurant. They have very good staff and great taste of authentic rajasthani food. Keep up the great work! Would like to visit again.

We find this from zomato and were not disappointed at all. We called manager after taking number from site as were coming from Jaipur and were late. But manager ensured lunch for us and served us with quality food. This place is good place for rajasthani food. One minus point it is in amantra hotel so when fully booked then there would be lot of rush here and it puts you a bit down.
Shefali Sharma
For two days we were looking for authentic Rahasthani and then this place was suggested. I must say we got a delicious thali at reasonable price. Plus the quality, quantity and taste was nowhere compromised.

Highly recommended for Thali. Just too perfect πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Navidya Restaurant OF Amantra Comfort Hotel is one of the best Veg. Restaurant of udaipur i often visit this and every time they serve same tasty food.
Ankit Nanavati | The F&B Project
Amantra is a comfort hotel which is exactly opposite the prime tourist attraction 'Saheliyon ki baadi'. Navidhya is the multi cuisine restaurant housed in this hotel. The need for a good lunch and recommendation from Zomato got us here.

In and out in exactly 44 mins, the 7 of us were pleasantly surprised at our experience. No sooner we entered, we had set our clear expectations of quick service as were headed to the airport.

A no frills Indian fare was ordered - Paneer Tikka Masala and Subz Handi. Both vegetarian mains were great in taste and impressive in portion size. The Paneer Tikka deserves a special mention - rich tomato gravy and succulent squares of cottage cheese were perfect marinated and chargrilled.

A range of Indian breads were ordered to go with the mains. The naan was expectational and the rotis were brought to us fresh from the tandoor.

The restaurant is well appointed and the ambience is pleasing.

The service staff is phenomenal. As stereotypical as it may sound, I have stopped expecting good service standards outside the metros. The staff at Navidhya has made me reconsider my stand. They crossed every 't' and dotted every 'i' of hospitality standards.

This great first impression has earned them a repeat guest when I am next in Udaipur.

About Food and Beverage :

Taste: 4/5
Menu: 4/5
Serving/Portion: 4/5
Presentation: 3/5

About the experience:

Service: 5/5
Ambience: 3/5
Value: 5/5

Yours truly,

Ankit Nanavati
#theFnBproject
…for the love of food

**Food – its understanding, preferences and reception is a very dynamic subject. I am happy to receive constructive feedback – convergent or divergent, for my reviews.

Amazing food , outstanding hospitality, pure and finger licking taste of food. We went to amantra seeing the reviews on zomato and believe me it is worth going there. "MR RAHUL CHARLES" served us with food , suggested their specialities and he was top of the world.. i felt overwhelmed by his service.. He told us what to eat with what and overall my experience was "OUTSTANDING" . ASK FOR "RAHUL CHARLES"for best service.

Great tasty food, cleanliness nd services are commendable.
And to top it all its absolutely pocket friendly.
I highly recommend the Rajasthani thali, it's sufficient for two. Sweet corn, and butter milk were perfect. And the butter naan absolutely new appearance.
Sajal Bapna
As you enter you'll feel that it's an expensive restaurant but the catchy thing is the reasonable menu for such an amazing place.
The ambience is remarkable and so is the food. Also here is a party hall and we arranged my friend's mom-dad anniversary here and the way the manager communicated and managed everything is called excellent hospitality! Everything is well maintained.
Abhishek Sheth
Very very good service and food truly 4 star experience. Good thing was management was very insisting on good service and constantly checking with customers regarding food and service.

Pleasant ambience...truly 4 star service...abt food...rajasthani platter is nice...encovers almost all rajasthani flavors...buffet breakfast as per 4 star service...service is nice too...friendly atmosphere... adab that is respect of rajasthan

If you've stayed at amantra Comfort, there's a high probability that you would have dined here..
To start, the ambience is quite decent with a modern feel. The service is fast.. The breakfast buffet is really good with a wide variety of dishes.. The
Hara bhara kabab is excellent..
Gagan
Absolutely ridiculous food policy. Went there with family of 5. Didn't want to have a full thali, thought of a-la-carte .. But as per their restaurant manager.. If I order a-la-carte the others who order thali (that is 4 others) can't get their thalis refilled. Forcing the customers into ordering a thali.. Or sit on another table if you are not having a thali.
Not done. BIG THUMBS DOWN
