Review Green Lemon - Udaipur

Pallavi Khera
It’s near to the city palace. Good food. Reasonable price. Nice location. Owner was very polite and welcoming. We had lunch over there. It was superb. Their sandwiches are a must try!

We were walking around to look for a restaurant while killing our time before the boat tour. Was approached by the staff at roadside and led to the Restaurant. I was surprised by the quality of the food as it was extremely tasty and the ingredients used were fresh and a lot of herbs were used to enhance the taste but not powder. The set back was just the setting but it is all fine.

The location is very easy to recognise, it is right by the palace gate. The place didn't look all that great, it is your average restaurant, it was minimal but the service was really good, the proprietor was very kind and attentive and well informed. The food was very yummy and very well done. We went there way past lunch time but they still cooked something up for us. The prices were economical and the menu was extensive. The owner even helped us with the trouble we had with navigating to some of the sightseeing and shopping.

Small restaurant close to the City Palace and Tibetan market. The food is really awesome, vegetables and fried rice were absolutely delicious! Friendly service. Ambience and design not overly fancy and cleanliness of washroom could be improved.

This place is great place for affordable and good food. Their basic veg thali is really awesome with 4 rotis, rice, dal and one vegetable dish. It is worth the price. Also the owner is really sweet and trying best to make your visit good. The food is prepared on the immediate basis and served hot. You can customize the dish according to your taste. Just a bit disadvantage of the location, the way to hotel from jagdish temple side is bit shady but it's worth.

This place is amazing The host is great with courtacious staff. Food, I had the best after coming to Udaipur. Must visit. In a city of tourist you get the price so low is a goodwill gesture. Thank you so much buddy !

Finger licking food in affordable prices......... Specially that varied thali for 180( realized the fact that there's a limit for every stomach considering the fact that food is awesome )..... Near to zostel, City palace, Jagdish temple and main market..... Do visit here after or before going to City palace......a much cost efficient and must visit place... Loved it....😘

We had tried this restaurant twice during our stay in Udaipur and I have to say this place is awesome. The prices are super reasonable for the quality and taste. This place is truly under rated. This is far better than many other places with higher rating. Those places are just expensive and hyped. Green Lemon is not less than any such place. If you want tasty food economically this is the place to go. Special mention is their dal kichdi which my infant son loved. Thanks for preparing it according to his need.

Koftas were raw, didn't had cashew and raisins as mentioned and also the paneer was tight. Overall both the dishes were not good. Very dissatisfied with the food quality.

My wife and I went here in the month of November 2018. We were the only customers at 2.30pm, which was kind of surprising. Anyways, we ordered lunch and I ordered a chai without sugar.

While the order was being prepared, the manager helped us with places to see around Udaipur.

When the food came, I found that the chai already had sugar in it, and lot's of it! It also tasted stale. I returned it back and requested them to make a fresh one.

We ordered veg pulao and paneer paratha. The pulao was okay, the paratha was half-cooked. We didn't complaint though.

The waiter came back with chai. I tasted it. It was superheated but still tasted same. Maybe the 'chef' thought I wouldn't be able to tell the difference if my tongue is burnt. I didn't want to make a scene as the manager was courteous to us. I just left it and focused on the food.

When we were about to finish the food, the manager came to ask how did we like the food. I told him about the chai. He bluntly denied that his staff would ever serve a wrong order in the first place. Then my wife also told him about the half-cooked paratha, to which his answer was "okay so everything you ate was bad, I get it". I calmly told him not to ask for feedback if he can't take it. We paid the full amount (it was a kachcha bill without any GST mentioned on it) and left with a bitter taste.

Do yourselves a favour and do not visit this place.

no disposals were sent according to the directions given. and no extra lemon slices were packed with food

Near city palace exit gate, main market. Really caring people and having great service. If you are not a fan of only upscale restaurants, then this is good enough to feed your expectations. A must try for families.
Yash Goel
The food is not at all tasty plus the quality isn't good at all along with that the quantity wasn't worth the price.
I would suggest everyone not to have any meal there!
Sachin
Okay restaurant....not very well maintained....not very upscale....cleaniness need to taken care of....smells a bit....no AC....owner is good.... polite guy....food was okay...not too costly....could be improved in quality....don't accept card payment but they do accept PAYTM.

Food was good. Tried dal bati choorma, mix veg n gutta curry. Delhi people will like it. Just do mention before order to use less oil if u take less or else its fine..

Good food at economical price.. friendly owner. This hotel is right beside the city palace and not at chand pole. Zomato should rectify this so that patrons could find this place easily.

Although the restaurant is not a pretty sight from outside., but once you are in, you will see that they have tried to beautiful their interior.
Coming to the food, we went for breakfast and we had ordered for aloo paratha, chole bature, cheese sandwich and tea. The aloo paratha was full of flavour and it was one of the best parathas that I have had for a while.
The chole bature was quite tasty and the cheese sandwich was also quite good.
Overall, I would say not a bad place to go for breakfast if you are trying out Indian breakfasts

Courteous staff and quick service. Decent food, on a spicy side. Close proximity to city palace and market area. Jeera rice and dal tadka were good.

Situated very close to the city palace, the Google maps location on this one is slightly off but we found it nevertheless, as our first lunch in Rajasthan we stuck to the Rajasthani basics and ordered the kadi pakoda, tamatar sev and dal bhaati churma. And we did not regret it one bit!
Served with hot hot tandoori rotis, we gobbled down the food items quicker than they appeared. The kadi was hot, tangy, spicy, everything just perfectly went together. Our first encounter with tamatar sev and we fell head over heels in love with it! And dal bhaati churma was made the traditional way and was good. The quantity served is perfect for two people, and with food so good the ambience barely matters. But, the place is clean and hygienic and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. An excellent place to fill your hungry tummies if you are in the vicinity.
Just For Laugh
Ordered tea, Hakka noodle and chilly potato. Tea and Hakka noodles was good but chilly potato was just ok. But a better place to avoide expensive food inside the city palace as this is just situated outside the entrance of city palace.

MY FIRST "ENCOUNTER" WITH GREEN LEMON TODAY BEING A FESTIVAL DAY KID DECIDED TO ORDER A MIXED DINNER FROM GREEN LEMON REFFERED BY ZOMATO, JUST WALKING DISTANCE FROM MY HOME. A PROMISED DELIVARY OF 15 MINIUTES TOOK 60 MINUTES ,CAN BE UNDERSTOOD BECAUSE OF TRAFFIC..BUT BOLT FROM BLUE WAS TO FOLLOW..

SAMBER SERVED WITH MASALA DOSA WAS STINKING..
COCONUT CHUTENEY SERVED WITH IT WAS MADE OUT OF DRY OUTDATED COCONUT POWDER MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO EVEN SMELL. NO DISPO SPOON/ FORK WERE SUPPLIED NOT EVEN PAPER NAPKINS..WHEN REPORTED THE MATTER TO GREEN LEMON ON TELEPHONE ..HE ASKED LITTLE TIME TO ENQUIRE ..BUT NEVER TURNED UP SO FAR...
A HOPELESS AND UNHYIGENIC SERVICE..THNX FOR SPOILING MY NIGHT..I PROMISE TO TAKE THE MATTER..TO "CONSUMER REDRESSAL" FOR SURE..

EX. Amazing breakfast serving joint in the beautiful city of Usaipur. While exploring this city in Rajasthan, we happened to discover this this joint hidden in an area very close to the famous City Palace of Udaipur. Though it was deserted wen we entered( probably a lil late fr breakfast n too early fr lunch), we were attended to quite promptly n efficiently. Saw a bunch of foreigners roaming nearby which made us realise probably the staff is already well acquinted to serving travellers looking fr decent food. We ordered aaloo pyaaz parantha, masala sandwich and poha. It was an amazing poha, we ended up ordering another one (without sev this this), couldnt afford more calories. Aloo parantga was stuffed well n was cooked crisp. Though d sandwich was in white bread (we had white bread after ages) i personally found it quite good. Happy to have discovered this nice joint. Hope to visit it sometime soon fr trying other meals as well.

Veg thali lunch special is a fantastic deal for Usaipur lunch. β‚Ή150 gets you a huge thali with fresh veg dishes, roti & rice. No frills spot to grab a cheap, fresh, veg lunch.

We ordered French fries and a glass of cold coffee. The cold coffee was not chilled at all and the French fries were soggy. The quantity is not reasonable compared to the price.

Surprisingly good food - specially when you consider that it might not look like much. The flavours will be a little off from what you expect (cldnt taste the coriander in my lemon coriander soup and the noodles looked more like spaghetti pasta) but overall the flavours were delightful. The paneer tikka had a fab smokey achari flavour. The smokey flavour permeated the noodles as well. Right behind the back gate of the palace do step.

Right next to City Palace Udaipur. Nominal price. Decent ambience. Very interesting options of both south and north Indian cuisine. We ordered Veg Briyani and even tweaked it to our requirement and the end product was mouth watering. Also on the plate was Malai Kofta and Paneer butter masala with Naan turning out to be a great combination again. The only layback was the waiting time but the customer service (courteous waiters and receptionist) more than makes up for the hard wait. The masala papad was also an icing on the cake. To end it up, we had some lassi marinated with Cashew and this only stepped up the standards.
