Review Baro Masi - Udaipur

Just went to the place to see what the hype was all about. It was not at all disappointing. The glass floor suspended above the pool makes it unique. This place has a perfect Rajasthani architecture with a hint of modern touch & aesthetics. A beautiful roof-top candle light dinner with lake views, night view of city palace make it nonchalantly beautiful. Must visit @baromasiudaipur

5 stars for the rooftop and the view and the stunning setup. The drinks are great, served chilled. Food is alright, not many options as Italian wasn’t available and they said that few other food items aren’t available as well. The view and the rooftop is stunning, if the weather is good then it is a must visit as it is windy and beautiful. The service is alright. Little unbothered, if they work on the hospitality, it’ll be the place to be. Happy with the experience.

The restaurant is on the top floor of udai KOTHI restaurant , a hotel situated inside the city area. It has open bar and terrace seating , it also has one more terrace over the terrace and a separate dining place which has a separate / additional pricing. Staff was good , service and taste was good too. Overall a good experience.

Went to this rooftop upscale wine and dine restaurant for dinner and we weren't disappointed. The food served was good. Loved their laal maans. The mutton was so soft and tender that it melted in our mouth. The service was good and staff were helpful. Though the restaurant was almost full they were kind enough to accommodate us even when we did not have a reservation. The only thing we did not like were the chairs. The chairs were kind of uncomfortable to have dinner from. Also, surprisingly they only had kingfisher beer available. The prices of all the items are also on a higher side. Overall, a good place to have your special dinners with your loved ones.

The food was Average but the experience is awesome!! We visited the cafe at night. Did enjoy the infrastructure and the vibes . Had more expectations with the food which eventually it failed to deliver ! but it's always worth trying out !!

Our family had a great and peaceful stay at Udai Koti. The hotel is located in the heart of the city...Central place...very convenient for all must see site seeing...the approach road to the hotel is very much congested but the location is just perfect. Very sorry to mention...the hotel property is not up to the mark...the housekeeping is just average, the rooms and upholstery also needs refurbishment / renovation ... overall for the rooms and stay our rating is around 6 in the scale 1 --> 10 but the restaurant food and the view from the restaurant is just too scenic and marvelous ...the food is very delicious...thanks to Head Chef Vikas Jadhav and his team ...they provided the best possible variety during our stay for three nights .. Head Chef Vikas has a very unique quality of meeting most of the guests personally and enquire about their special likings; his colleague Chef Vikram also guided us for the possible alternative food items. The entire kitchen staff is very humble and cooperative. We surely look for the next visit to BARO MASI restaurant in Udai Koti and hope the hotel management takes due note about the house keeping and room maintenance...else we may stay at different property but for the Breakfast and Dinner our choice will be for Head Chef Vikas and his dedicated team. Baro Masi is placed on the roof top of Udai Kothi in the old udaipur city.The interiors are stunning, and there is a lovely pool on the premises. It has a roof-top with a transparent floor that allows you to view the pool, making it even more beautiful and unique. The view of city palace and Lake Pichola is mesmerizing as well. Tried veg spring roll and chicken starter and loved it.

Mesmerising, if you can describe the place jn a single word. The ambience, aesthetics and super friendly staff makes this a must try place when in Udaipur. My host Akash helped us from the moment we entered till the time we left. We thoroughly enjoyed the place mostly due to the beautiful location and super friendly host Akash. Superb experience in Udaipur. The way hotel design is super good all things decorated with old antique items and from roof transparent glass you can sit and enjoy the beauty. Only thing they need to improve service. Pizaa is must try.

Its such a pleasure to have such a good blend of good vibe, good staff and good food at pocket friendly prices in Udaipur considering the amount we spend on fine dining. I would recommend this place 100% so do visit.

Baro Masi is a good hangout place. The food and drinks menu were limited probably due to Corona virus aftermath. But we liked the food, drinks, atmosphere and the staff hygiene standards. The open air area was much larger than other places nearby. Thumbs up for the service. Definitely recommended for the visit. Thanks. Peace✌️

The service is pathetic. Had to wait atleast 20-25 mins for someone to get the menu. Order for drinks and starters. After 30 mins the server came back to tell us that the starters that we have ordered is not available. Really disappointing experience.

I would say this place is just good for clicking pictures bcoz of ambience rest all is pathetic including food,drinks and service.Ordered pizza and it was horrible no taste at all,also over expensive wine and the best they are charging Rs 95 for a mere 20rs Mineral water bottle don't know what's so special in that.I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Good ambience but the staff were very rude and they charged 500 for cutting the cake. So if you go for any occasion please don’t cut the cake there. <br/>Very disappointed with the service and also the music was extremely boring.

We booked a table at zomato and the restaurant said they didn't even though we got a confirmation. The management is not accommodating and no seating to accommodate large groups of people.

I was there in Udaipur for the first time and <br/>One of my friend suggested this place and The occasion was big as it was my first anniversary and I was there to celebrate in the evening. And Baro masi did everything right to make my day special. The best part about Baro Masi is the ambience, decor and the view. Everything is picture perfect and so beautiful . The roof with the glass floor above swimming pool is quite glorious 👌🏻. Service was very good and staffs are also very polite and they clicked so many photos of ours. <br/>Food was also good but bit costly . One thing I must say is the limited items in their menu and if they can add some more items to their menu it will be good.

Baro Masi Tapas bar is a nice place to spend time with your loved ones.The menu is limited but with great lip smaking taste and freshness. You will definitely like the cocktails and mocktails here.

Terrible staff, terrible food, AROGANT, RUTHLESS AND PATHETIC STAFF, ZERO FOOD SERVICE. HAD TO WAIT FOR NEARLY 2 HOURS 20 mins FOR the food. NEVER EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT, EVEN ZOMATO SHOULD REMOVE THIS RESTAURANT FROM THEIR WEBSITE AS IT IS TOTALLY A PATHETIC SERVICE restaurant AGAIN NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE. I've been a regular here for hosting private dinners and parties. The best thing about the place is the staff. They will go out of their to please you, no disappointment there. Your evening will be memorable no matter the occasion. All time favourite!!! Keep it up Baro Masi.

Last night for new year, I was at Baro Masi and I had the worst experience possible. Keeping aside the fact that the food is overpriced, but what was horrible was their hospitality towards customers. So we were allotted a very bad table, so most tables here are at the edge of the rooftop where you have the view of the lake and most importantly have heaters installed. I guess to manage the excess crowd they installed a four tables on the dance floor and none of the customers wanted to use these tables and most customers by throwing some weight around and shouting got space at one of many vacant tables. Despite we making peace with the odd table in the extreme cold at some point the manager [Deepak] had the audacity to tell us to leave even the current table {At 11 pm} because the restaurant was running full. By the way we were here for new years and had paid upfront 3k with a cover of 2k. What it seemed like is, if you are among the regular elite crowds visiting or if you are white you will have clear privileges but if you are an Indian traveller wanting to experience fine dining at this Rajasthan restaurant please stay away.

Awesome place with really delicious food.. last Saturday i celebrate my birthday with my friends and family and really it was so special for me.

It was one of my managers who recommended me this place t have a meal. Unfortunately when i went there my stomach was close to be full. First thing that just hit me was the ambience, weather it's the infrastructure, the decor or the view. Everything was picture perfect and mesmerizing. The deck with the Glass Floor above swiming pool made me quite glorious for a moment. Man! The property is stunning. But! Yes,, But! Two things Disappointed me. The Price which suits the ambience but not the taste, yes! I ordered A Pizza with the topping marinated paneer. It wasn't tasty at all. The only reason why i am giving this one 4 star is the ambience just the ambience.

I went to this place totally on a friend's recommendation and I quiet liked it. It is located on the roof top of udai kothi. I ordered mexican loaded chicken pizza. Did not like it at all because this place is not at all about food, it is about the beautiful ambiance it offers। I would highly recommend people to go and visit this place on late evening to enjoy the roof top fabulous view this place has to offer.

Staff behaviour was really rude and much of a judgemental like rich people given more priority then other people. We were asked to you use stairs from rooftop because their extreme lavish customers were gossiping outside elevator and they might want to use it. Even after making a complaint at the reception still never looked as if they didnt care about it. Music was so bad that sitting there for 1 hr there same song kept playing.

Fantastic view of the lake here, and great atmosphere. Staff were very attentive and the music was great. Good cocktails and tasty pizza. Great place for an evening date or just catching up with friends.

Baro masi is not value for money restaurant. Their food is tasteless and quantity is also very less and there charges are absorbent and the biggest hype is they dont serve normal water and when we ordered for normal water their person came with mineral water and they charged is 90/- for mineral water so better plz clarify everything before you order and even quality of service is also very poor.

The view was good. But food was disgusting. we ordered a pizza, but we got two layered chapatis with eggplant and onion topped with cheese. Never had such a disgusting overrated pizza. Good luck to whoever goes there.

We ordered drinks and food. Drinks which are as expensive as Mumbai were good but the food was terrible! We wasted everything we ordered- Mexican pizza, Wok tossed Mushroom pancakes, Patatas Bravas and Chicken Pintxo. The only good thing about the place is the ambience and the view.

They given normal veggies wrapped in premade wheat bread (normal chapati). I am adding pics of the dish they provided having only 4 pieces that too of very small in size. Completely worst experience. This is basically a rooftop restaurant of Udaikothi.<br/>So they have extended their rooftop restaurant area however it's still under construction.<br/>This place has an amazing view 😍.<br/>You gonna love the place for what it offers to your eyes to witness.<br/>However they just serve cocktails here and Mexican starters.<br/>Not even a single mocktail was available only coldrink cans and canned juices.<br/>And we didn't enjoyed much the median starters too.<br/>But 4 stars just for the entire vibe & set up it was worth it<br/>

The place is outstanding, but only for its view! Beautifully made with a gorgeous setting however the cocktails and food was okish. Service was very slow and bad! All meals were served cold! Its only meant to enjoy royalty and a view with cocktails! NOT for food!

This place gives the best vibe ever ..the rooftop place feels like heaven with great music there..although this place is quiye expensive as compared to other restaurants in udaipur..and thier billing procedure was one of the thing that i was not a big fan of..they charge too much of a small quantity of food and drink...and the food was kind of okayish when talking about taste ..although cocktails were up to the mark..mostly foreigners visit this place quite often..i would not recommend this place for ppl looking for good food at resonable rate..but this place is a go for people looking for a fancy dinner

It’s an amazing ambiance here within the city and the rooftop view of lake pichola, the food is also yummy and the service is also amazing. The guys specially GAURAV and NAVNEET who served us is so friendly and polite. It’s worth to spend ur money and time.

The best spot in Udaipur even on the hottest day is the terrace of BaroMasi. Breathtaking views of Lake Pichola, the City Palace, moonlight mahal and the surrounding architecture of hotel Udai Kothi itself gives you the most wonderful experience. The best tapas in India are found here -  the tabbouleh with sumac lamb was especially delectable. They have a glass floor looking over a swimming pool that's surrounded by traditional thikri worked walls, providing the perfect blend of contemporary and cultural ambience. Extremely friendly and pleasant team of people walking around the place making you feel comfortable and immediately at home. We had the pleasure of meeting Rohit, the star bartender at Baro Masi who has is blessed with the magical art of whipping up the yummiest cocktails based on your taste and mood. All in all a fabulous experience, great value for money, and a little piece of luxury right by Lake Pichola. Can't wait to visit again!

Been there , when I was in udaipur trip,the bar of udaikothi hotel which is most beautiful heritage place, of having cocktail on rooftop Spanish bar , staff was helpful .Night view was most attractive city place & lake view . All about the experience was soooo good , we highly recommend every tourist should take time a meal there.

I m from jodhpur and we had gone for a visit to baro masi at uadi kothi with extremely high expectations and let me tell you it was a fantastic experience. When we entered baro masi which is on roof top bar and restaurant. The view was breathtaking!secondly they have a see through glass on floor which is extremely unique and never seen before! It was a very interesting experience.

Best place for drinks and food. It has breathtaking views of the city and has a very chill vibe. The music here is great. The place is best for all age types.

The drinks and food are good. What I felt was I didn't had a great experience at the place because of slow service. Had to ask for things like gratis with drinks.<br/>Lots of kids at the restaurant at 11.30 so it was very disturbing for us to have a quiet evening as the ambience suggests. Would like the management to look into such nitigrities as the restaurant demands quiet a high price for no experience.

The place, view and ambience are great would have given 7star for that, but the main thing FOOD is the worst in taste & quality too, I have visited this place twice and had left with a stomach pain just after the meal.
