Visited this place for the authentic Gujarati thali and it lived upto expectations, i tried sasumaa thaali and you really can’t compare both of them because they both are really amazing, the owner is really soft spoked, had a good conversation with him and he told me that their restaurant is the oldest in vadodra, even the manager and the people who served heartily welcomed us. For Gujarati thali this is by far Oldest and best. Interior of the hotel may require renovation however food quality is good. Very near to Baroda railway station and Bus station so ideal place for lunch/dinner. Tried 4 different gujarati thali restaursnt and found this better than others.

Kansar was famous for Gujarati Thali, I heard about that. Also visited before year back. Based on that I ordered yesterday evening. Food was not fresh, u feel like , it's made in morning and serv in evening. They have written for Punjabi sabji, it was not at all available in parcel. Also they mentioned Kadhi and Khichadi, they send Dal rice. But over all food was not fresh. Will never order in Kansar and will not be recommed to others. Can not give 1 star also for food. There were only 5 chapatis instead of 6 and even 3 chapatis were sticked to each other because it was not properly baked. There was too much oil in sabzi n daal quality was even poor than a patients food. In the whole THALI just SWEET was such that u can eat. The quality and quantity of food in 150Rs was totally SHIT... I ordered the Gujarati Thaali. The packaging was excellent which ensured that the fluids remained in place and did not mix into each other. Food was clean and mostly fresh.<br/><br/>However, my problem is with the rotis. Many of them was undercooked and weren't packed properly which made them stick together and create a lump of slightly burnt, mostly undercooked, rubbery, hard to tear rotis.<br/><br/>Rice was good. The red paneer sabji was horrible.<br/>The palak paneer sabji was good. However, many paneer pieces was undercooked and raw and it was quite difficult to eat them. Dal was great.<br/><br/>Also, the snacks and sweets they give weren't stale and were quite delicious.<br/><br/>Food price is average. It isn't value for money but isn't fraudulent either. The delivery was very good.<br/><br/>Overall, good experience.<br/><br/>

I am giving 1 star as there is no option to write review without giving stars. Today on Raksha bandhan festival we bought 5 tiffins from Kansar restaurant sayajigunj. Food quality was pathetic i have tried all guj restaurant in baroda and this would stand last in queue for quality and taste standard. More special the quantity is really very less in 5 Tiffin's we had to cook roti and rice and dal at home we could not adjust for 15 people in 5 tiffin. Instead of 100 roti for 5 tiffin only 40 roti were provided. Pls pls don't go to this place worst experience...
