The place lives up to the name. Indeed a lot of variety available. Great place to hang out with friends over a snack and cuppa tea/coffee. Limited food options but enough to keep your taste buds alive and kicking.One of the best places in Vadodara. Give it a try !

This place is so hype for food. Food is not good. I ordered pizza over there that taste so normal and pizza was pricey. Not worth the money. This place is only for chilling with friends and if you are looking for to eat something nice here don't go.

I just loved the food there. I have tried tea, green tea, coffee, hot chocolate and all were so good. Ambience is really good as you will find good options to sit. Service is ok. Overall I like this place.

The ambience is quite suitable for a friends hangout evening. It had a good feel previously but recently have compromised on the tidiness overall. This is disappointing. Food can be rated average. Though Irish tea, and pastas are amazing here.

Visited this place many times. Bit of parking issues as this cafe is located in the society. Veg and grilled sandwiches along with adrak or masal chai are awesome. Panini is named Philly cheese panini and as per Content Wil be filled with veggies and cheese but it hardly had any vegetables and there was no cheese. Very Poor.

The most boring and gloomy place I've visited in Vadodara. The AC doesn't work, the waiter wouldn't come to take our order after calling him at least three times (our table did not have a bell). Once the order came, our conversation with the waiter was this: <br/>Me: "Ye kya hai? (What is this?) <br/>Waiter: "Jo aapne order kiya tha" (What you ordered) <br/>My friend: "Humne kya order kiya tha?" (What did we order?)<br/>Waiter: "Wo mein bhul gaya" (I forgot) <br/>Disgusted at the service. The coffee wasn't hot either. I would definitely want a refund for this. Never visiting this place ever again.

Cozy Place, Spacious, we can corner our self. Cool cool Tea options. Tried Tex Mex Nacho, were done justice with them, Sandwich was really Club in size. Only need to improve on TAT time.<br/><br/>

Wanted to find out what all the fuss is about - came here to find a shady cafe that’s more like a place to strike up drug deals . Let’s ignore the strong smell of cigarettes and weed, the service was well, non-existent . The server did not show up for over 20 minutes , and my table didn’t have the menu card or water etc. either . I walked out of the place , and they were least bothered. Unfortunately most cafes in Vadodara have a similar problem - and unless the staff is trained to respect the customer and their time, no eateries ,no matter how “cool” they may seem will do well in the long run.

This place has got it all! Outside as well as Inside ambience is totally cool! Totally chill place with young crowd! Food is nice. Place could jazz it up with a little lighting and music on the outside front.

Ambience is nice. We ordered Cheesy max fries which were average, the cold coffee and and kitkat shake were good. Its a bit overpriced compared to the quantity and quality of food given. The service is slow, it takes a while for someone to come and take the order.

This is one of the best cafes in Vadodara with some cool ambience!<br/>The potato wedges are nicely fried with some indian flavouring! Should give it a try 😄<br/>Except the wedges they have really good menu, they have you covered for all occasions!

The interior is pretty and decorated nicely. I felt the seating was a bit stuffy. And the lighting could be made brighter. A bit overpriced. Some of the dishes are good. Totally depends on what you order. I ordered a coffee, which I didn't like at all. The rest everything like sandwiches and pizza were good.

We had to go to this place after finding quiches closed for renovation. We ordered a 3 cheese Sandwich and a quesadilla. I couldn't spot the three cheeses and i could've cooked a better Sandwich at home. The quesadilla had no sauce at all and was too bland.<br/>The place is over rated and over hyped.

We decided to go to this place as we wanted to have sizzler at 5 pm! We all know VarieTea is a great place to hang out with friends and there is no doubt in that. We ordered Tex-Mex Nachos, Italian Sizzler and Kit Kat and Ferrero Rocher thick shakes. It was a Sunday and it seemed the waiters were also having their own siesta moments. The service was pathetic. The food was bought in so late you could starve to death right there. So first came the nachos. They were good, laden with cheese and beans and stuffing. Then comes the sizzler. Usually Italian sizzlers are supposed to have veggies as usual, spaghetti with cheesy sauce and other assortments which change from place to place. What we got was -a few veggies in cheese sauce and an assortment of penne pasta (only!) cooked in 3 different ways. Red sauce gravy, white sauce gravy and the dry version with olives. We reached such a level of saturation after eating penne pastas, that we couldn’t even complete the whole thing. And finally, the shakes were brought in (after a long wait). They were a delight and lived up to the expectations which arose from the names given to them. So overall a good place to hang out, but service is bad, definitely not a good place for sizzlers, the menu cards were so dirty, you could feel your hands sticking to them (you guys should clean it sometimes). The fastest thing that came was the bill! Hope to have better services and food the next time.<br/><br/>

I am happy that these kind of cafes and innovation in them are new normal in Vadodara. I hope they are able to sustain also in the Barodian market. I always prefer these kind of desi Indian cafe over CCDs and Barista of the world. The tea was awesome an VariTea. I didnt had anything else so cant comment about that. I loved the ambiance and outdoor space of cafe which was very spacious. I wish all the best to them.

Whether you want more of a cafe vibe or a more chill place to hang out, varietea is the place to go. Great food, easy on the pocket, and chill crowd. However long you sit there, not one person would urge you to pay and leave.<br/><br/>The food is great too! Very much well known cafe of Vadodara. There is No doubt. the palce is so amazing .i'd try badam tea. And French fries . TEa Actually carried the flavour of almonds and while you are having it the pieces of almonds come in the mouth. I never had taste this kind of flavoured tea before. Love it..

This restaurant had been one of my favorite places in vadodara!!! Good food, pleasant ambience; this place had a lot of upsides!!! But lately, I dunno why there has been such a drastic shift in their attitude; maybe it's due to all the attention they receive!! Service is painfully slow despite no overwhelming crowds!! Staff seem to be incompetent!!! They lack knowledge of the menu (also what's available in their kitchens); they move at a glacial pace which makes the ordering all the more difficult!! Overall, they really need to start making changes if their reputation is to be maintained!!

Insensitive - we were 4 of us and were pushed to a corner when a single guy was occupying a 6 people table! <br/><br/>Irresponsible - finally we sat in a smoking section as there didn’t seem another option. With a slow service, this cafe is offering great food and a classic ambiance. The outdoors experience is amazing at nights and the food is also up to a mark. If you are willing to spend a few bucks on having quality time with friends, be here.

Good place .. for interior n exterior. Tea was excellent so as coffee and fries. I love there concept of ringing bell when you want to ask for service. One more reason to love this place is specially the restaurant people never ask like madam any more u want or disturb even u r sitting for too long

The place has some good furniture and looks! Unfortunately the furniture needs repairs.....(disappointed) the menu severs a variety of stuff and it’s been a bit too priced but considering the crowd, influx of people it caters and the locals love it. ALL IN ALL its a good place to hangout with frnds :)

Nice ambience and quieter place. <br/>It's amazingly beautiful to be there as they give you immense privacy to play, chat or even meet.<br/>I love the food there. Italian Begal Sandwich and ferrero rocher hot chocolates are two of the best try's there. One should also try Oreo-kitkat mudpie. It's super chocolaty 👍🏻

The place is decent. With a fair enough ambience, the music is good inside. You can have a conversation at this place if you're looking to have one. Don't expect too much out of the cafés items, else you will be disappointed. Had a green apple iced tea, the serving is creative, but that's pretty much it.

Good nice place to hangout here. I was in Baroda after a decade and didn’t expect such cool crowds hanging out here. The staffs are courteous friendly and helping but at the same time they need to be more attentive. They have lot of options for dining, you can either sit inside or you can sit outside too. Due to timing issues i didn’t try much things here but the tea they serve in a lovely kettle is not only good in taste but their presentation styles are good too. The prices of the restaurant is also not high. Can definitely recommend to cool hippie young crowd to visit this place.

VarieTea - As the name suggests , this place has a variety of snacks and beverages to offer . Have been here a number of times and the food has never been a disappointment.  It has both indoor as well as outdoor seating but overall the place looks a bit dull , maybe a few more lights here and there could help. Used to be one of my favourite places in Baroda. Love the seating arrangement in the garden, but that's not why we visit these places. I've heard that they've taken down the non vegetarian items from their menu. If that's the case, I guess it's fair to take down 2 stars from their rating. Shame.

This is one of my favorites here. I love their iced teas (whichever flavor), milk based teas and their special rose oolong tea. Try their Italian bagel. Delicious. Potato wedges and nachos are a common favorite. Their pastas and pizzas are also good. I love how they have three different areas where you can sit depending on your company and mood. My favorite would definitely be the homely comfortable tables on the upper level. My go to place!! 😊

Can't even count the number of times I've been to this place. Located inside the labyrinth of Alkapuri. <br/><br/>They have a lot of teas as the name suggests. My favourite is the mixture of Raspberry and Passion fruit wth honey. Do try! <br/><br/>Food is amazing here. Everything is prepared really well. If you're a fries person or not, just try the GARLIC FRIES! They don't make it like that anywhere. The garlic gets a little too strong halfway and your Mouth will burn slightly but hey, anything for fries right? <br/>The chicken sandwich is also really nice. <br/><br/>They have well served mocktails and ice teas too. Ambience is perfect for hanging out. There's a smoking zone outside and indoor area. Avoid going upstairs as it's not as good as the ground floor. Have fun! Cheers!

An amazing place to hangout with ur group anytime.. the most loved chai is what we always have. The cold coffee is also great. Love the seating arrangment made in the open, a different and unique concept. Cool hangout place for all. A visit is highly recommended.

First visit today, with my mom and aunties who make me the best chai at home. It was a tough task to please us as we are tea lovers and very picky about our chai.<br/><br/>We ordered Irani Chai and Kesar Badam Chai with Maska Bun and Masala Bun. Chais were priced at Rs.99 each and served in a kettle along with 2 cookies with each chai. An example to describe the quantity: if there are 3 people then each of them could have two cutting chais out of this kettle. Both the Chais and Maska Bun were just great while the Masala Bun was the best. But I still feel that Maska and Masala Bun are overpriced and they should give 4 cookies with each kettle. My mom had a Cafe Mocha and she enjoyed it. What's missing from their menu is Parathas and Eggs. They are the other half of the tea time experience and I wish they start serving those.<br/><br/>Service: It's always a task to get the attention of the waiters. But here they have a bell ringing facility. It speeds up the whole process and here I don't have any complaints. The service was superb!<br/><br/>Ambience: This is where it can really improve because this place holds a lot of potential. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We went at night and hence chose the indoor seating but I did check out the outdoors which is really good but I feel it could use more plants and light bulbs at night to liven up the scene. The indoor seating is good but it lacks the wow factor that some of the other places have.<br/><br/>So my rating is based solely on the above mentioned encounter and I'm looking forward to more visits here and try out many more tea options and foods they serve.

This used to be a favorite hangout place amongst me and my friends for a long long time. They have amazing teas with quite a good variety (as the name suggests) also they have amazing pastas panninis and nice milkshakes !! Definitely worth the money! Service was pretty good and there are two set of seatings: 1) outdoor garden areas 2) indoor fine dine type both are equally good!

Cost was too much and the service wasn't satisfying! You cannot order one thing among 3 people cuz they will make faces, and moreover they won't let you sit for long if you have completed. So you should only go if you want to go for lesser time!

Very very expensive. We can have same things at different places in bit lower price. Just tea's are new. But that even quite expensive. In short this place is expensive. Better to go cafe appetito,Jail,Kafi pibama,Qwiches, Brother cafe, Coffee culture.

The food is good but overpriced! And you are asked to leave the minute you are finished eating. The outdoor seating is great. More staff can handle the place smoothly.

A good hangout place. Outdoor is better than indoor sitting. Irani Chai and Aglio Olio are the best! Sizzlers aren't that great. Inside sitting arrangement needs improvement in terms of lighting and ventilation. But overall a good cafe to try out. You won't be disappointed.

Food not great nor their prices. The tea is also average nothing special. It's just the place is good for hangout. Rest the serving team is also a bit arrogant and are always in a way to piss you off.

Good ambiguous. Nice place to hangout with friends. They have big space so you can also relax there. But this current rate rise is very high. It is very costly and they reduced the food quantity as well. Anyways food is always testy and of good quality.

This is a favourite hangout place of most young barodians. It's a cool place to sit and chit chat. Nobody will bother you or kick you out even if you don't order something (especially in the outer eating area) but I gave Oreo shake a shot because I was craving for a good thick shake. But.... That thick shake craving got disappointment after having the shake here. I think the place is too overpriced.. nothing so fancy about the place.

The ambience is beautiful. There are two sections, with and roof and with a sky, respectively. The food is good but a little overpriced. Peaceful and ideal to relax and have conversations with great food on the sides. A little difficult to find, I went around parallel roads twice before I noticed this place.

You would definitely like this place. It has both outdoor & indoor seating arrangement. The outdoor one has a rustic touch. Wooden benches will remind you of school times. Coming to the menu, as it is very obvious from the name, tea is the USP of varitea. They have amazing black kettles to serve the tea. Price of tea ( with milk) is 99 and is served with cookies. You will find it enough for three. Go for masala tea if you want a strong one. Else you can order ginger and tulsi tea to play safe. The ginger French fries is something which I really like to accompany with the tea. However, you can try all American sandwiches, begal and paninins which are really good. Garlic bread and ice tea didn't please me though. You won't regret Nutella shake if you are planning to order from shakes section. Evening would be the best time to visit this place. You can sit and talk for hours which makes it an ideal place to hangout with friends. I would definitely recommend this place for happy sunday evenings. When someone chooses these kind of places for tea, it is obvious that you will be charged for ambience than actual tea (here it is Rs.90 for ambience and Rs.9 for a tea), but if this place is full house outside and indoor they will ask you to seat upstairs, which is actually a hall of an empty flat, where some tables and chairs are kept, so your Rs.90 wasted if you seat upstairs, you don't get ambience and for taste there is nothing much you can expect out of tea..though Panini was good.<br/><br/>Final words, this place is bomb on pocket, only meant for Neo class with lots of passive smoking included.

More than the food, Varietea is known to be the cities Ultimate hangout spot offering you indoor and outdoor seating plus not to mention that Smoking is allowed. The Masala Grill Pizza with chicken and and extra thousand Island dip and jasmine/cinnamon tea are a staple every time I visit. The ambience is just right to relax and talk.

amazing food always, with a wide variety of teas (as goes the name ). i only wish they would play music everytime, without having to ask. we have tried the paninis, sandwiches, tea, coffee, pizzas and pastas and everything has been top notch !

Happened to go to Varietea recently with College Friends. Varietea happens to be a very relaxed place especially during day hours. You get that peaceful atmosphere every time you are in here. Coming to the interiors, I would have loved had they kept bigger tables. However what disappointed me was the fact that they have, over the years made the place look old. The Sofas are ill maintained, the down seating just doesn't fall in line and there is inappropriate lighting. Not that I would like them to lighten up the rooms but they can do more justice to the existing lights they have. The menu feels good and the platter has plenty to offer to the guests. I ordered Pasta( White Sauce), Garden Fresh Pizza, Cheese Garlic Bread, Cold Coffee with Ice Cream , Chocolate Thick Shake and Lemon Iced Tea. All of this was nicely prepared. No complains about it. The Thick Chocolate shake was the stand out when It came to my liquid intake that day. What I really liked was the Jalapeno Pasta( White Sauce) It was made to perfection and jalapenos did nothing short of magic to the white sauce. Overall a big thumbs up to the food. The service time is a bit too slow. For somebody like me who likes his orders to be at the table a bit fast, Varieta disappoints me on this. The orders take 15-20 Mins on arrival( wouldn't mind that as the taste makes up for it). Overall a very good place to be at if you have time and want to enjoy food. A bit heavy on the pocket as compared to others in the same zone. Would definitely recommend.

I had heard a lot abt this place but my experience was contrary to what i had heard..<br/>The tea frappe was below average and  the sandwich wasn't worth the bucks paid.. mom can make the same stuffing cheese on green chatni wala bread.. <br/>Oh wait how can i forget a lil insect fly hovering over my sandwich..<br/>but your TV set was good and i liked the wall decor :)

A good place to hangout & chill with friends. The coffee's are really good as well as the tea. And the same goes for food. Though honestly the interior of the place definitely need an update.

"Coffee is not my cup of tea!!!" The place lifted my mood after knowing that there is an outlet serving the humble tea! Seriously after all these years gulping down bitter lattes and cappuccinos, I stumble upon this cafe. This cafe is both hip and refreshing. We ordered the Badaam Tea and were not disappointed at all. The french fries with garlic butter made for an interesting side dish. After an engrossing 2 hours of chess match, I left this place, hooked! A must try for all tea lovers.

Food was pathetic, fries seemed as if they were re fried and they seriously tasted unhealthy. And even the staff was not courteous... Maybe my first and last visit.

My go-to place for the best Irani chai in the city! Not just the tea, the variety of sandwiches be it cheese or chicken, are all pretty decadent. The place may be a hit because of it's hip ambience amongst the college crowd which is suggestive of this spot being always packed. To me the lime walls on the ground floor or the tad-too-dimmed sitting area on the first floor aren't a delight. I'm rather a fan of al fresco places with pretty dangling fairy lights or lanterns. But this place gets me there almost every time I crave my homemade Irani tea with Masala khari. A bliss for all the tea lovers in the city!

Dis place is yet again a better reincarnation, a more successful n definitely more famous n spacious as compared to its j.p road version!!<br/>Had visited it yrs back as a teen, surviving on limited pocket money and ended up having an Irani chai back den. Now yrs later I fell in love wid dis place totally! Dey hav chosen a cozy little corner in alkapuri for dis venture, ppl can have a smoke outside ( which very few places offer in Baroda) or jus sit inside for an amazing ambience.. tastefully designed interiors, perfect volume n playlist of music. N den d biggest variety of green tea in d city.. tried rose green tea which was jus amazing. Dese ppl play wid d aroma, jus so skillfully, b it d rose essence in d green tea or d garlic in d butter garlic fries! D only not so good thin was d kiwi iced tea v had, which wasn't an iced tea at al, rather more of a kiwi squash! Definitely a place for ' chaivinists ' lik me!

Visited this place thinking it to make our evening special. But it turned out to be awful. All expectations for a special evening in vain. Really disappointing!!

Visited this place with a European friend and I don't know if that is the reason for extra attention that we got. Had rose green tea which I loved. I also had garlic butter fries which came in a huge quantity. Brownie was soft and delicious. Overall a good place to hangout..<br/>On my second visit, I ordered sauted mushrooms which cost a lot but are nothing in terms of quantity.

Well we went in a group of 3 just to see if the buzz is really worth visiting...We firstly ordered Irani tea which was too good just like homemade tea with a diff touch.....The idea of bringing it in a tea pot gives u a royal feel...Then we had some Wack o Paneer sandwiches which was too good....You should always have it...Talkin about ambience...the garden ambience is good but lot of smokers around which shouldnt be permitted....Pollutes the environment and not all are comfortable...!

It's a nice, cool place to hang out with friends. Decor is pleasant. We had ordered a couple of iced teas which were above average. French fries and spinach cheese balls were good.

A nice place, almost hip and very popular with the young crowd. Lovely outdoor seating for those who smoke and damp and dark interiors for those who prefer insides. The menu is quite something and is reasonably priced. The quantity too is good! The hot coffees were really nice. Nice place to hang out with friends. Love the outdoor seating. The indoors can do with a little more lighting. All in all , a suave place in the city.

Cool place to gel up with wifey....also friends :) ....nice tea, caramel coffee and snacks...good outdoor space...can be made more green with zulas and other rope sittings...overall great experience..
