Review Aramana Family Restaurant - Vadodara

We ordered rava onion dosa , idi uppam with Malabar kadala curry and ghee rost dosa. Taste was amazing. We tried idi uppam with kadala curry for the first time and it was worth trying. Not much spicy, balanced and authentic taste. South Indian food lovers must try this.

It's an amazing restaurant to dine in with your family. It serves authentic South Indian dishes and the tastes great. Though one won't be able to find variety but whatever served is delicious.

If you are looking for an authentic south Indian taste then Aramana is your next destination. The taste is soo good... especially the sambar and chutneys. The staff are also polite and quick to respond. Also the atmosphere is quiet. Not to forget about pricing, it's nominal. The only problem is they only accept cash, they should work on that. I highly recommend this place.

I have been visited along with my family and found they serve very good south Indian food, as I found their dosa are amazing even their rasam was also good. We have ordered Dosa and south Indian thali and Coffee.....overall experience was good. Being a Saturday afternoon it was not crowded, even I would mention that we are the only one in the restaurant. Being a old restaurant ambiance is little old one.

Place is quite good and rates are very reasonable, good for breakfast, lots of variety of food in the menu, service is prompt. Typical south Indian taste in food. Restaurant manager is stupid. serving staffs are also careless. order is not taken by them in time. waste of time and money. Never recommending this to anybody. it is better to visit other restaurant like Sankalp.

The restaurant is best known for the southindian dishes, I myself am not a big fan of southindian dishes but still the food was light and reminded me of the home made food

Worst experience.<br/><br/>The opening time is 8 AM as per their board. I went there at around 9 AM and ordered idlis and vadas for parcel along with Puttu. The manager said puttu will take 20 mins. I said Ok.<br/><br/>At 9:35 AM I asked the owner that when will my order be done, he harshly said it will take time and if I cannot wait then should not come at all. I did not like the tone and I complained about it. He went on saying that he will cancel my order. I only said that if they are not ready atleast they should change the opening time.<br/><br/>Very bad behaviour by Mr. Venugopal, the owner. The staff is also too lazy and arrogant. By the way the review is not based on single visit. This happned 2 times and so finally decided to write a review.

Mainly it is an authentic and keralian food! Tast is so good!!Sambhar and chutneys are awesome! Quantity is not so much compare to its price ..but money is worth it when you taste the food! Ambience is also good when you are with your family!

The worst south Indian food!<br/>They don't have the concept of fresh food or cooked food or even the hot food!<br/><br/>A dosa served cold served with cold sambhar! What else do one need to make worse than this?!<br/><br/>And in addition to this, servants were rude....it was just a cherry on the cake!

So to begin with I am not a South Indian cuisine admirer!! But being a foodie and and a food explorer I tried this authentic South Indian restaurant and experienced an amazing taste for my tastebud.. One of the most authentic and true South Indian restaurant. Food here has truly the real taste of South India and all the Real south food is available in the menu. Comparatively it is costly but south Indian lover's are gonna come here anyway. Service is little slow though.

I mean literally How could you do that with a customer ? A quiet cosy place for authentic keralite food. They also have a small corner where sarees and lungis are on sale which adds to the ambience. Overall food was as per our expectations. sambar was too good to be found anywhere else in the city. And cherry on top its pretty light on pocket.

Saw a mouse scurrying around the restaurant today at lunch. The waiter put his fingers in the glass of water he was serving. The decor is drab and old. But, the food is good. Authentic south Indian food that tastes divine. So if you're not fussy about the surroundings, the give this place a try.

i tried malabar set dosa along with rava dosa and veg uttapam. all three dosas were nice and yummy. i liked thr coconut and onion-tomato chutney which<br/>they served along with these dosas. i felt a bit let down with thr sambhar which lacked taste and aroma of its ingredients....overall my first time experience with this restaurant was good...

Service quality is worst and food quality is not up to the expectations.i had appam and it was so damn tangy when I asked for the reason for the same to the waiter I got a reply of appam tastes likes this always. I am a south Indian myself and we used to make appam always at home. Never had such terrible appam. Also the cleanliness of the place is very bad. The neighbouring table was filled with bunch of used tissue papers after ten minutes of long wait I had asked waiter to clean the table. Management should take care of this.

Quality of food deteriorating than what was it before. Evwn their service level is not upto the mark which makes me feel sad to rate them just 3.0.

Otherwise it totally deserved a 4.5 star. This restaurant made me fall in love with Kerala cuisine... Until then, I absolutely hated South Indian food but this restaurant saved me. One note, though, that since early 2015, the management has changed and made an awesome restaurant average in terms of food quality and service. Otherwise it was heavenly - the butter Mysore masala dosa, rasam, vellapam, idi appam, potato sabji cooked in coconut milk, unlimited yummy sambar with three chutneys, plus the slow hum of instrumental Kerala music makes your dinner amazing. And around Onam they have a week long food fest. And their menu, all through the years, has been carefully made - with the name of the dish you have a detailed description of it followed by a picture of it so you know what you are ordering. The staff is mostly good, and is aware of the details of the dish you ask about, since at least half of the names are completely alien to the average Gujarati to whom South Indian cuisine means sambar, dosa, idli, uttapam and medu vada. And hey, the idlis here are incredible! Finish your dinner with either filter coffee or a traditional sweet dish!!

This place is quite near to my home and that's y we end up more than just a few times having our dinner here whenever feeling bored to cook at home and want to try some mouthwatering South Indian cuisine dishes and especially belonging to Kerela..! The ambience is quite good here and so is the food along with service and hospitality and hygiene..! It's a must go for anyone who wants to satiate themselves with good food and real value for money..! I would have rated them a bit higher but I want a bit more improvement in every department from their end..!

Okay now this is a mixed review. I've been going to this place from the past 4 to 5 years... It was nothing short of heaven for authentic south Indian food. Till today I have never tasted better appams or rasam. Appams come at a nominal price of 15 rs. Per piece.!!!!!! Now comes the harsh part. From the past 2 yrs I guess the management changed or something but the service has become foul. The ACs don't work. The manager is TOTALLY indifferent to you or your concerns over food or service. But still... I have to go for appams and rasam! Mysore masala dosa used to be a treat however its taste has changed over time.. I hope this place becomes as good as it was.

Good authentic kerala food. Tasty, super tasty. I am in love with the thali in this place. And the dosas and so much. I cant really say the name of some of the dishes ???? but they are yummy...

This place is awesome. Legit south indian cuisines. The staff is friendly and the chef is consistent. Bang for buck. <br/>But here are my probs. The ACs need replacing. Changing interior won't be a bad idea even. There is a special dish which is only available on Sundays. I have been trying to have it since last to years and I still haven't got it once. <br/>This review may seem a lil harsh but the thing is I love this place so much and I get angry when people recognize 22nd parallel as the ONLY PLACE for legitimate South Indian food.

Don't get misled by the ambience . this place is one underrated place for authentic south Indian food. Reasonable and apt, the food served here is even liked by typical south Indians..<br/>The menu has a wide, really wide choice of various south Indian dishes and each of them pretty well made. For authentic and reasonably priced south Indian food, this is the place to go.
