It's very old Cafe on Station Road, Vadodara. It's serves best South Indian food in the city.

The first thing that will hit you is the look of the cafe. It gives you that 90's feeling. Time seems to stand still.

Coming to the menu. I glanced through each and every item and nothing is above 100. We ordered tomato uttapam, Rava onion masala Dosa & Mysore plain dosa and bill was 190rs.

Taste is more than average. Personally I was not satisfied with the taste of sambhar. But give the rates I am more than happy to fill my stomach on any given night.

Loved the sambhar.
Dahi vada was very good in taste. Perfectly sweet and taste of chilli in dahi vada was making it more tasty.

I usually don't go to much south Indian restaurants or cafes. But I took the initiative to visit this cafe. I ordered MYSORE MASALA DOSA and IDLI VADA SAMBHAAR with BUTTER MILK. THE DOSA WAS QUITE GOOD THAN EXPECTED. IDLI AND VADA WAS ALSO VERY NICE. I'm looking forward to visit again soon.

The sambhar is rich, idli is absolutely soft and the vada has an amazingly crisp texture. One of the oldest restaurants of the city, still holding its name and taste.

I been regular patron since last two decades, earlier years its entrance was adjacent to Sanjiv Hospital. Cafe has undergone renovation couple of times. Madras Restaurant is a Cafe serving vegetarian south Indian cuisine such as Idli Sambar, Dosa etc and beverages. Price range of each items is no more than 100 Rupees. I would recommend idli-fry, it is deep fried idli served with mild chilly condiment (chutney) and sauce.

Underrated South Indian Restaurant. It's the best. The oldest and the best. They have a wide variety of Dosas, Idlis and Vadas. The essence is their mouth watering sambhar. Makes me go back every damn time.
