Review The Bombay Kitchn & Sanja Chulha - Vadodara

We had the pleasure of dining at The Bombay Kitchen, a charming restaurant nestled in the corner of the city. The menu at The Bombay Kitchen showcased a wide range of dishes, representing various regional cuisines of India. Food was really delicious which added a delightful kick to each bite. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The ambience is very good, specially it's garden view. If you want to go with family or group then this is the best place to visit. Food is also nice specially non veg items.

4.4/5! Ambience is awesome! Service is great but food is ok! We ordered chicken soup nd it was ok, brocolli cream soup was good! Gravy was same for veg and non veg sabji! Naam was good! Price is 500-600 per person!

We visited with family for dinner. Food was good. The ambience was very attractive. Seating was quite comfortable. We ordered tandoori stuffed mushroom, Paneer chilly dry, tandoori chicken in starters. Everything was perfect. Then in main course we ordered Bhuna mutton and Dhaba paneer. Food was tasty. Service speed was moderate. Only disappointment was Butter naan. Overall a good experience 👍

Follow @the_savoury_stetho on Insta 🧁 Picture perfect! 💯💯 Bombay Kitchen is definitely one of the best restaurants in the city. The garden and the open green they've developed is the best in the city, as they're not actually many open seating restaurants here that too with such views and amazing food. It offers both veg and non veg cuisines and the quality of the food is on par. The quantity of the main courses is excellent and the taste too. They offer a wide array of starters and cuisines. The tandoori starters are a specialty. It is the perfect place to have an amazing dinner with you family on a chilly winter night. And just chit chat, have fun and spend quality time in the beautiful garden.

The Bombay Kitchen & Sanja Chulha has a beautiful ambiance, and is at a very peaceful location. We ordered threaded paneer and potato balls overloaded for the starters they were very delicious and their speciality is in Punjabi cuisine so we ordered garlic butter naan with special Rara paneer, it was tasty but at the same very rich and quite heavy, we had also ordered veg Biryani which again was delicious but we could only have couple of spoons. My son order for rumali roti which was not as soft as it should be. Yet overall good experience. Must visit with family and friends. 👍

Delicious food. Their Kabab, paneer starters and Dal Tadka are best. Non veg is also very good here. Non veg must try

Nice land-scaping & ambience. Good quality of Veg. food. 👉Still more veg. food options need to be added. 👉One thing is required to correct is restaurant must be easily accessible for disabled persons and senior citizens

Pleasant atmosphere. Very good use of lights. Surrounded by well maintained garden. Good seating arrangements. Food quality good. Service very poor. Generally 20 to 30 minutes waiting, After placing order you have to wait for another 40 to 50 minutes. Parking sufficient.

Food is very tasty but we had a snag of 1hr for food after we placed the order. That may be because of rush. They need to add more people for taking order and the same time they should be able explain about food to customer and that will grow interest among customer to try the different flavour except RR Chicken we normally eat here and is very good.

*Baroda to Bombay in just 20 mins!* The one iconic place for experiencing Mumbai's life in outskirts of Vadodara.@thebombaykitchn As soon as you enter this place is huge and looks beautiful. Also having a garden view on either side of sitting area. The interior is designed with lights and it's a family dineout place. Ambience game on the point.!! Coming to the starters, BOMBAY ki Chinese bhel.. has nothing to do with authentic Chinese cooking and is a Mumbai's very own invention. It is a mix of Chinese ingredients (fried noodles, Schezuan Sauce, etc) and sliced vegetables (capsicum, cabbage, carrot, onion, etc). (I swear.. We have never had this taste of chinese bhel ever before across baroda.) Monsoon is here, so are the Hot steamy Momos and spicy red sauce perfect combination specially in this rainy season. Tried mushroom for the first time, and trying something new always gives you a new experience. Stuffed mushrooms stuffed with herbs, spices a mouth-watering appetizer. Sukha anda - One of the best starter. Boiled egg topped with dry gravy of onions and tomatoes. Chicken roasted kebabs - Nice juicy chicken tikka, perfectly cooked in tandoor with balanced flavours of marinate. Paneer sandwich tikka.. do i need to say anything about it! (You all know 😁😁) It is one appetizer which we always order when we ate out in India. Moving over to Maincourse.. we had, Mirchi ka salan.. is pickled chillies with the use of various masalas with a souring agent like tamarind. It was never the side-kick to Biryani, but a main dish. Mirch Ka Salan is a thick brown rich gravy, which usually meant that it is one of the star dishes of the table, to be had with steamed rice or chappatis/rotis. (One of the great historical dishes) Veg hot pot rice.. is simply piping hot rice served in a pot with loads of vegetables in Soya garlic sauce. (Is like one pot meal and you're done 😉) Butter chicken(highly recommended dish) prepared with a tender chicken. Aromatic chicken pieces in a smooth creamy curry with lots of butter. Malvani chicken a rustic curry, with burst of flavour and heavy reliance of chilli for spicy gravy with authentic taste. Amongst all desserts we preferred, Rasmalai (read rossomolai. It sounds more sweet..ah!) Invented by K.C.Das in bengal. A rich cheesecake without a crust. You will keep mesmerizing this taste for sure here. ☺️☺️

@the_bombay_kitchn is perfect for a party, celebration or a date night with a loved one They have pretty amazing ambience with the authentic rich flavour of food and beverage In starter, we had Panner Sandwich Tikka, Bombay Style Chinese Bhel, Momos (I tried it for the first time in Vadodara on the recommendation of @halfbaked.potatoes & it was full of exotic veggies and it was super yum) Their Buttermilk has a unique flavour that we could not resist our self to drink it. ( We got addicted to it) In the main course, we tried Veg Kheema & Mirchi Ka Salaan with Hot Chapti. Chapati was super soft and yummy. We had dal makhani at last and it was also great in taste. (Picture mat hudna) Finally, in dessert, we had two options Ras - Malai and Gulab Jambun. Ras-malai has saffron flavour with dry fruits & it was super spongy.

✔Must visit while in Baroda✔ A fine dine restaurant admist the interiors of Baroda. The explicit ambience give a very satisfying feel. Seating is very comfortable. The staff is very polite and friendly. Service is also up to the mark. They have also started hosting birthday parties in the lawn. Food is prepared with fresh ingredients and made once the order is placed, hence the freshness is maintained. They are known for Chinese food, but their Indian spread is also very delicious. What I ordered - 🔸Soup Sweet corn soup - piping hot, thick soup, full of vegetables seasoned with salt and sugar. It left a very soothing feel on the palate. Veg Manchow soup - an Indo - Chinese soup, which leaves a very soothing feel on the palate. Very appropriate for winters. 🔸Starters Cheese corn balls- an overload of cheese and corn in potato mixture, fried to perfection. Crispy on the exterior and gooey inside, it is served with salsa and mayo. Platter - an amazing spread of malai paneer, aloo, mushrooms and seekh kebab. The paneer was soft and a melt in mouth, whereas the seekh kebab was soft as well as flavorful. Aloo and mushrooms had a nice coating of the marination and were cooked properly. Chinese bhel - a must try when you visit this place. The crispy noodles, mixed with sauce and vegetables gives an exciting feel on the palate. It was very appealing to see and tasted fabulous. 🔸 Main course Vegetable Kofta with curry - very luscious vegetable kofta served with a flavorful gravy, with mild spices, a must try if you love kofta curry. Butter roti- a nice thin, crispy tandoori roti with just the right amount of butter. Garlic naan - a flavored naan, which was very soft and appetizing. 🔸dessert Cookies and cream ice cream. They also have a very popular sweet, Ras malai, which is their speciality in dessert.

Good ambience and cooperative staff. Some how that day they were short of staff hence waited long to serve our first oder of soup. Starters arrived before soup!. Paneer 65 and Tom kha soup was bit salty to. Our liking.<br/>So was non veg. Starters of Chicken Tikka. Fist etc. Veg Biryani was good<br/>Over enjoyed our meals.

Super impressed with this restaurant! Finally found a high class yet humble restaurant to frequently visit without ever thinking twice about it. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff is humble, and the overall experience is beyond your everyday Baroda standards. It's the perfect place for NRIs and locals alike.<br/>We went knowing it was a Saturday—a busy day—but were not disappointed in the least! People have to be understanding and reasonable regarding going to popular restaurants during weekends.
Meet Kiri
1 star for location and ambience. So we order soup which was basically reheated added cheese and given to us.<br/>Next came in starter (chicken chaat). All veggies and chicken was fresh out of freezer.<br/>Finally came main course we had ordered rara chicken. So the chicken kheema in the rara chicken dish had lots of bone pieces which made it a headache to get through 1 roti.<br/><br/>I would suggest to the restaurant to make the food fresh at the very least. Because no one would want to make trips to a washroom the next morning.

Visited this place yesterday and totally impressed with architecture something new for barodians. The food is so good and different , services were good and staff was decent 😊

Although I understand this place is still relatively new, but the staff need to be trained alot more, unaware of how to serve and extremely slow. Servers were serving guests over customers plates and face, so try to look into it
Khelan Amin
We ordered fish tikka and chicken thai kebab for starters. rara chicken and rassa chicken for mains. Starters were tasty but and this is a big BUT size of chicken pieces were 1 inch and quantity was laughable. Even small kids tummy would not be quarter full with that even if served to two kids. Similarly in main course there were 5 small pieces of chicken and in this 2 pieces was just bone. Not at all worth 375 price tag. We complained and The server did bring another half portion on the house. But the point is they will not get repeat customers at all. What to do with good ambience when even after paying Rs 500 per head you go home hungry. I forgot to take pics of the food as i was so angry. Staff are courtious but need to learn co-ordination skills. NEVER EVER

We visited The Bombay Kitchn & Sanjha Chula, Vadodara last Friday for dinner with a few friends. They have both indoor & outdoor sitting options. Below are the food items we ordered:<br/><br/>Soups-Exotic Cheese Soup (Almost Perfect) & Lemon Coriander Soup (Needs improvement in terms of flavor) <br/><br/>Starters-Vegetable Wonton (Average) , Corn Sheekh Kebab (Perfectly prepared and the best we have had till date- MUST TRY) & Crispy Vegetables (Up to the mark) <br/><br/>Main Course-Corn Capsicum Masala & Mushroom Baby Corn Paneer Masala (If you love corn and mushrooms, look no further in the menu and just order these curries)  <br/><br/>Roti Basket - Freshly made Rotis, Naans & Parathas (No complains at all)<br/><br/>Rice-Pan Roast Rice with Veg Sauce (More like Fried Rice & Red Curry with Exotic Vegetables) <br/><br/>Desserts- Ras Malai made in house which was delicious. <br/>Overall the service we received was great (A huge improvement than earlier).<br/><br/>We had a really good time and our rating is more towards 4.5/5!

Pathetic service, very average food taste. <br/>Manager and owner didn’t show up even after calling several times. At last we got to know that owner was roaming around in the restaurant while waiters were telling that owner is not available, haha! <br/>#NotRecommendAtAll

Recently I visited this newly opened fine dine restaurant in baroda. Based at the outskirts of the city and spread across a large area, this place is surely one of my favourites. With the ambience and the vibe of the place is welcoming and some what regal. Dishes inspired from the malvani cuisine, were mouthwatering at the looks of it and equally delicious too. <br/><br/>What all I had: <br/><br/>Cheese corn balls<br/><br/>Spring rolls<br/><br/>Non Veg Kabuli roll<br/><br/>Kheema mutter<br/><br/>Chicken kofta masala <br/><br/>Veg kofta <br/><br/>Thai chicken curry with Thai fried rice <br/><br/>Malaysian noodles <br/><br/>Ras Malai <br/><br/>Among them, "must haves" are non veg Kabuli roll, Malaysian noodles, kheema mutter and Ras Malai. If you really like something in coconut base, then you can also try Thai chicken curry.<br/><br/>

A perfect place for dining, celebrating, relaxing and also spending some much needed private time with your loved ones away from the hustle bustle of the city. I recently celebrated my relative's birthday at this place and it just made the occasion better with it's an elegant interior ambiance with a space to spend time with your loved ones alone can say lap of nature. It's probably first garden lounge and a stand alone restaurant. Ask for mehul for serving you, he's a great chap. Rohit, the manager made sure that everything was served on time, an efficient team and lastly can't miss out on mentioning the owners, who are just very warm, humble and welcoming just like the place. Their vibe is all felt in this beautiful restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious, it's worth a wait because they prepare it all fresh, unlike other restaurants which serve the same gravy. (saying this after visiting almost every new restaurant that has opened up). A MUST VISIT PLACE FOR ALL.<br/>(Have patience on weekends, it's a super busy one at weekends.)<br/>And lastly opt for left corner seats if you go with 2 and opt for right corner table if with family and friends.<br/>

This place has a lively ambience. As soon as you enter, you get to see the huge garden, and the beautiful restaurant. The interior is top notch. We went today for dinner on 4th Aug 19, Sunday. The service is so pathetic and price they are charging is too high. We ordered tomato soup and asked bread crumbs and waiter answered very rudely that bread crumbs are not available. Then we ordered cheese corn balls.. They were quite oily and we asked for ketchup and they told ketchup is not available. How silly!! Also, we ordered fried papad. They were just full of oil and oil was dropping so we asked to change and the rude staff told us that fried papad is like this only. Diet Coke came after so many reminders. All guests were complaining only. The sabjis which were charged 380+ was quite average. We will never visit this place again. It is highly over priced and highly overrated.

The Bombay Kitchn and Sanjha Chulha: Located in the outskirts of Vadodara, this place has a great ambience and interior, suitable for a family gathering, friends catching up scenes and also for a date.<br/><br/>Coming to food, they have a wide spread to choose from.<br/><br/>What we tried :<br/>1) Chinese Bhel- Finally found a place that serves Bombay style chinese bhel with crispy noodles, veggies and sweet and tangy sauces.<br/><br/>2) Veg Momos : Very well cooked and stuffed this was delicious.<br/><br/>3) Veg Kheema with Chapati : Minced veggies in yellow gravy which gave it a texture like kheema. The gravy was not very spicy, yet flavourful. Loved it. We had this kheema with hot chapati. Yes, they serve chapatis which according to me is the best thing for people like me who avoid plain flour tandoori rotis.<br/><br/>4) Hot Pot Rice : Presentation made me drool already as it was served in a clay pot. This rice had loads of mushrooms and veggies with soya and other sauces. Go for it if u like oriental taste.<br/><br/>5) Rasmalai : Best part of a meal is dessert and rasmalai here is top notch. Soft and yummy this is something you can't stop eating.<br/><br/>6) Masala Chaas : Chaas being my favourite it tasted of ginger, cumin and mint prominently making it an amazing drink while dining.

The Bombay Kitchn is a culinary saga with great food and an even better ambience! Located in the outskirts of the city, from the moment you see the entrance of the property, you are definitely going to be left spell bound. Classy in all ways possible, with modern contemporary style design, this place manages to sweep one off their feet with a great dining experience.<br/>The place is brilliant in all aspects of the dining experience; ambience, food, hospitality and menu curation. They have quite an extensive menu with malvani, north Indian and Chinese cuisines and the Chinese is lip smackingly good. No matter who is accompanying you, they are bound to be impressed.<br/>We started off our night with The paneer sandwich tikka (soft malai paneer marinated and served up with mint chutney), the Chinese bhel (truly mumbaiya style, this was so so so good; truly a must try) and the veg momos (momos taken up a notch, served along with a lip smacking dip; had me reaching out for more & more). This was followed by the veg kheema for main course and the mirchi ka salan ( I absolutely loved this dish, the gravy was the perfect balance of flavours and the mirchi ke tukde were not too spicy either) served up along with nice soft naans. We even tried the veg hot pot rice (Chinese based hot pot with rice and Manchurian, again yum) and the dal makhana and jeera rice (the dal is again a must try, loaded with makhan, it was truly delicious). We even had the mint mojito (not too sweet, the perfect mojito) and the chaas (OMG you have have have to try the chaas; it was so good that we kept ordering it for the table).<br/>The cap to the meal was some really good desserts. We had the ras malai (A MUST TRY; the perfect balance of not too sickly sweet, but too good) and the gulab Jamuns (a little too hard for my liking, but great taste).<br/>You definitely have to give this place a go!

Restaurant has excellent ambiance. The owners has spent too much on architectural look. I wish they spent lil bit on the cook and staff. Food is as equal to any mid range restaurant of city with handsome price tags. People can afford but they expect quality food and taste against their money.
Mugdha Joglekar
The place is located in the outskirts of the city. It looks really nice from outside. There is a garden of sorts where you can sit if there is a waiting. The interior is pleasant and well lit.<br/>The place gave a nice vibe initially untill we spoke to the guy standing at the counter who talked a bit rudely to us and asked us to wait for at least an hour even though some of the tables were empty. The rest of the staff seemed nice but the service was not upto the mark. The place did not make me feel warm and comfortable. We ordered masala chhas, chilly paneer, Chinese bhel, mushroom paneer babycorn masala and wheat rotis. The starters were served quickly but it took them ages to serve the main course. The food was good especially masala chhas. But the rotis were served cold. Most importantly the mushroom *paneer* babycorn masala did not have any *paneer* in it which was extremely disappointing.<br/>It was either because the place does not have enough staff or may be they are not trained well. Anyway I would be slightly reluctant to visit this place again.

Loved the place. Its a but on the outskirt and located at a seemingly isolated area but thats what makes it all the more beautiful. The place is very well maintained with lush green lawns, sone landscaping and great interiors. The staff is very courteous and the foos is great. We ordered egg 65 for starters, fish rassa, lachha paratha, roomali roti, kulcha and buttermilk for main course. The fish pieces were sumptuous and the gravy was yum. Definitely would go there again to try other dishes.

the_bombay_kitchn is perfect for a party, celebration or a date night with a loved one<br/><br/>They have pretty amazing ambience with the authentic rich flavour of food and beverage<br/><br/>In starter, we had Panner Sandwich Tikka, Bombay Style Chinese Bhel, Momos (I tried it for the first time in Vadodara on the recommendation of @halfbaked.potatoes & it was full of exotic veggies and it was super yum)<br/><br/>Their Buttermilk has a unique flavour that we could not resist our self to drink it. ( We got addicted to it)<br/><br/>In the main course, we tried Veg Kheema & Mirchi Ka Salaan with Hot Chapti. Chapati was super soft and yummy.<br/><br/>We had dal makhani at last and it was also great in taste. (Picture mat hudna)<br/><br/>Finally, in dessert, we had two options Ras - Malai and Gulab Jambun.<br/><br/>Ras-malai has saffron flavour with dry fruits & it was super spongy.<br/>

The ambience is nice. We went on a less crowdy weekday. Tried the nonveg food. Evrything was really tasty and flavourful, except for the moctails/drinks. Theres less choice for drinks, which is ok unless you give good quality.<br/>chicken kali mirch - 5/5 - must have <br/>Mutton seekh - 4/5 - also must have <br/>Malai tikka masala - 5/5 - must have<br/>Rogan josh - 4/5 - can try <br/>Staff is polite, we got quick service.<br/><br/><br/><br/>

Ordered tomato basil soup, it was not a soup but tomato purée, for starter we had asked for spring rolls and it was toooooo oily, for main course we had ordered veg kofta and the kofta were totally burnt , did not even served onions with lemon inspiré of asking for it. Staff is not properly trained. They were running inside the restaurant to serve and take orders. Very bad experience, would not be interested in visiting again

Absolutely mouth watering food, plus an ambiance of pure class. The Bombay Kitchn & Sanja Chula is the epitome of great food in Vadodara. A must visit for anyone who enjoys savouring the flavours of India!

Amazing food and great ambience, new standard for fine dining in the city. The staff works with unparalleled zeal and enthusiasm enhancing the feel of the experience and providing a bang for the buck experience.

First rate ambience, especially for a surprising location in Khanpur Village! They definitely have opening jitters which they seem to be keen to work on... the malvani cuisine is outstanding and merits a visit! Very reasonably priced. Look forward to visiting again when they’re into full swing

Visited the restaurant via multiple recommendations from some of the city's finest families.<br/>The atmosphere is wonderful and the vibe is remarkable. The concept of a garden restaurant is the first of its kind here. The food is beautiful to say the least.<br/>*Do not read hateful comments from people who can barely string a sentence together properly. Service may be lacking according to reviews, but the staff is NEW and only human. If you want food served at a lightening fast pace, go to fast food chains.*

Ambience is very Good!<br/>A Well Done Place - indoor as well garden<br/>New & Inexperienced Staff <br/>Horrible Experience<br/>They refused to serve food for parents without Onion & Garlic.....isn’t that too much !<br/>Indian Restaurants overseas not only serve food without Onion & Garlic, they also serve strictly pure JAIN food also.<br/>Jain’s / Swaminarayan’s / Vaishnav’s - God Bless You ! be well prepared, probably you will be served only water & ice cream.....you walkout or go empty stomach from a restaurant, that’s your problem.....they are least bothered..... attitude in hospitality industry doesn’t work and this is too much.<br/>I think Gluten-free or Allergens free clientele should look for alternate options.<br/>In fact, we were excited on knowing, a good restaurant opening next door.<br/>Also read a review posted by one of the guest stating non availability of non spicy or kids meal.<br/>Very Very Disappointed, in fact totally.<br/>Probably, all pastes for every dish prepared in advance and possibility of not being freshly prepared.<br/>It seems Bombay Kitchen just arrived from an another planet!

Started with soup for babies! They have tomato basil but can’t make plain tomato, whyyy??? They doesn’t have fries.<br/>The ambience is amazing. Loved the vibes.<br/>Staff is accommodating but very very slow. Their newness is the problem.<br/>They served plain corn cheese rolls (starter) without anything to dip it into. Asking for mint chutney, green cutney or ketch up; they didn’t have any.<br/>The Mojito was a lime water with mint leaves and lemon slices inside. There wasn’t any soda? Same with butter milk; it was very liquid and wasn’t very nice in taste.<br/>The food was overall nice. Loved the dal makhani.<br/>Might prefer to visit it another time but not in a month’s time.
