Review Sawan's Gravies - Vadodara

My review is for the banquet - will not recommend the place as yesterday (26/07/23) the service was not good at the banquet arrangement for food was not good even a crowd of 100 was not manageable by them. Still I am giving it 4 stars because I have visited the restaurant and at the restaurant everything is very good so I will suggest going for a restaurant and not a banquet.

I loved the vibes of this cafe. You can go their with friends, family and even on a date. The ambience is beautiful, the food is amazing and the staff is also very well mannered. Overall my experience was pretty good. We had ordered a pizza and paneer tikka. It costed us around 750 bucks. The place is bit on a pricy side but worth a visit. They even have outdoor kinda seating available.

When I entered @sawansthecafe , first thing came to me was, that's some adequately sized place! With an open kitchen and mocktail bar it definitely adds some great visuals. Since @sawansthecafe is a multi cuisine Cafe-restaurant, I tried some distinctive items and here's the review! Starting with Zuppa Tuskana and Crostini Supreme, Zuppa (Soup) was really good! It had its balanced taste with delicious creaminess and mild spices were just too good, I liked it. Crostini supreme was full of toppings, had its tanginess, sweetness and overall, it was a good tasting (and looking) item. Now in second round of appetizers, there were two types of Paneer Tikka and Falafel Balls with, Hummus, Tatziki and Salsa, which are already a great combo, falafel were made good but I missed the crunchy texture, all the dips were really good! One the other side, both of Tikkas were properly marinated, Pahadi was a spicier version while Sultani was mild one, but surprisingly Sultani tasted better! Along with these were Vegetable Kurkura Seek Kebabs, pretty unique as it had outer layer of papad?? Yeah and here the spice balance was fantastic, not overdone, good!!! Coming to main course!! Chef special Sabzi along with Butter naan is just too good to miss! What a combo!! Plus Hot Pot rice is a Mexican style rice recipe with mildly sweet-tangy-spicy (Remember Salsa) taste, beans gave it a good texture overall and I think everyone liked it, so a big yes! Apart from this well curated menu items there were some really good mocktails made with care and creativity! Each one was different in its own way and paired fantastically with food, Asian Kiwi was bit too sweet for my taste, but Singapore Sling, Blueberry Mint and Spicy Guava were pretty good!! So, let's sum it up, good ambience, equally good food what else do you want? @sawansthecafe is a place to be with your family and friends, it gives an impression of some cafe but is a restaurant at core and has some really good food, I'd like serving staff to be more accomodative but it's just a nit-picking. So there you go! A fun weekend... Or weekdays place, you choose your time!

Ambience is too good rather than others♥️ Food quality is unmatched. Everything we tasted melted in others mouths.🤤 Place is very hygiene and service is qualitative. A very cozy and cute cafe. The interiors are amazing, along with the decor. The entire experience was seamless and contact less. One has to register their name and mobile number at the counter. There is a QR Code at the table which is to be scanned for the menu. After entering your mobile number again, the order will be placed directly. The service is quick. The staff is friendly. Food is 4/5. Jain options are available as well. The pricing is moderate. Per person ₹400-600. There are some board games and books for entertainment. If you're looking for a fancy restaurant with great food, and prompt service, this is the go-to place for you! We tried Manchurian Dry as an appetizer, Paneer Kadhai and Tawa Veg in main course accompanied by Buttermilk and Roasted Papad. Manchurian Dry was well-cooked and had a great flavor. Paneer Kadhai tasted extremely authentic and the good quality spices were used. Tawa Veg had a rich taste and the veggies were aptly cooked. The X-Factor for this restaurant is their Butter Tawa Roti. There are very few restaurants in the city where such good quality, fresh and hot Rotis are served. 10/10 for Rotis and Parathas. As accompaniments, Roasted Papad and Buttermilk/Lassi are just perfect. Their service is great, for the quality of food they serve. The minimalistic yet classy interiors are just a great addition to their good food. All in all, it is a great multi-cuisine restaurant which is fairly underrated!

Beautiful ambience. Great food. I tried the Mediterranean platter (~500 INR) and Bombay Sandwich. The platter was superb. The hummus was well done. Pita bread was soft and falafel was very well done. Must try. :)

Tried their Cheese Butter Masala & Naan with a Lavender Mocktail. It was okay, not too great. The place has good vibes. Would definitely visit again for the vibes & junk food probably.

It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming , we kept our daughter's birthday party in emerald hall ( total 140 pax ) Amazing food and service. Staff are extremely helpfull , highly recommended

Been here 3 to 4 times. For every vist the food taste gets better and better! Good ambience and the prices are also restated.<br/>Good restaurant to visit.

Not at all satisfied with the service. The service is just too slow for my liking and even when the place isn't even crowded. The food is okay but cheese naan isn't that great. Décor is quite good though.

I went to this restaurants by looking at very nice ambience in the first place. But food was exactly opposite of it and very low quality.<br/><br/>We ordered Manchurian and when we put first bite of it, it tasted like it was prepared yesterday. It tasted very odd(even Manchurian on laari's tastes better). Also it is overpriced compared to the quality of food they provide.

Well it was our first time at the restaurant and it was good. There is a shortage of space in the restaurant but overall ambience is quite good. The service is also good. While the food tasted good. Overall it was good experience.

To start with, even the tables weren't clean when we reached there(imagine on a Saturday evening) We ordered tomato soup, I think it could not be worse than what it tasted ( extremely sweet, no consistency, don't know weather it was tomato in there or sugar syrup with tomato ketchup) , baby corn chilly and mushroom chilly ( not upto the mark and were not completely cooked) , the hyderabadi biriyani was a mess and only the paneer was worth eating. Very very bad experience and a huge put off.

My new year resolution, never get back to this restaurant no matter what. Hopeless soup & the worst thing whole staff is lazy, food was below average. If possible I would have liked to make it negative rating.

Very average...may be not of my choice...though the staff was corteous enough, but lacked complete professionalism...went there for dinner with team, not satisfied. Will not recommend though...

one should never go to such restaurant  waste of money nothing else even staff do not know how to take orders and serve the customer 15 mins of gap between the starter and main course  average quality food only the best part is there quantity of food serve by them which is horrible to eat

This is a most pathetic restaurant I ever visited .no taste in veg no taste in biryani ..they mixed garlics pieces only ..disgusting..I will never recommend it to anyone ..they spoiled the party .

Really great food with good quantity and service. If you are a huge fan of biryani *just like me* you should try Hydrabadi Biryani for sure to taste the flavours of mint nd pure ghee :)

This is my second experience with sawan's gravies..<br/>I really appreciate their packed Lunch service as it is fast and the food is pretty good.<br/>They serve really good qty and it is worth the bucks paid. At the first service they provided corn rice and dal which  was much better than biryani they served today. The sweets are also sumptuous specially gajar ka halwa :) keep up the quality and timely service :)

This was a memorable occasion for me since I met my 3 good friends, 6 years after school. I found a considerable space crunch in the restaurant. Nevertheless, the ambiance was cozy and the hosts were welcoming. <br/><br/>We started off reminiscing on our memories alongside munching on the Karari Roomali Roti, which was similar to what is served at Havmor. The difference here being that there was no accompaniment. I would've appreciated more if the dish was served with chatni or any other dip. <br/>Further we ordered a Cheese Garlic Toast which was not that great. It was just the normal plain white bread toasted with garlic butter and sprinkled cheese atop. Perhaps additional garlic was also used since I remember biting into a piece of raw garlic and my taste buds went into a complete shock zone. Needs much improvement.<br/>For the main course, we ordered Paneer Toofani, Butter Naans and a Baked Alfredo Pasta. All three were really good, though nothing extraordinary. However, the Toofani Paneer deserves a special mention as its gravy was really lip-smacking and the paneer was extremely soft and fresh. I would recommend this dish to be tried if you do happen to visit this place. I'm not a big fan of Pan but my friends really enjoyed the complimentary Pan shots served at the end of the meal. <br/>I was particularly impressed by the patience and warmness shown by the staff, as they tolerated a bunch of excited chatterboxes who met after 6 long years and created a joyous hullabaloo, which otherwise might not have been tolerated in a fine-dine restaurant. They also did not ask us to leave even though we occupied their table for over two and a quarter hours. And I'm thankful to them for that. Overall, a good experience. I would visit again for trying other paneer dishes.

I went there with my parents to encounter a very unpleasant experience. They say in their menu that unlimited meal for 300 from 1400 hours to 1500 hours. Now if it's about to settle 3 O'clock I would expect the waiter to bring this to our notice and ask us to order before 3 so that even they don't have a problem but at 1445 hours with 15 minutes (which I think is enough for us to order) . He can say that sir after 1500 hours we won't be able to take order, but he said sir we only take order to 1430. We asked then why do you write till 1500, he said sir we write till 1500 so that you can sit and eat the food ordered till 1430 hours. Now the point to note is that the restaurant does not close at 1500 hours. They still take order from the rest of the menu even after 1500 hours. It's just that the food which is cheaper can be ordered from 1400 to 1430 hours and in the menu they write 1400 to 1500 hours. When asked to explain why they were doing this the response was sir this is how it is in an extremely rude way. Dad even now politely asked him to send some other waiter as he did not like the way he was speaking to which he turns and asks another guy from the store, "Inka order le le tu yaar, mere ko nahi de rahe hain“. We asked the manager about the same and he too gave the same reply in a similar rude way. There idea is to advertise that we provide from 1400 to 1500 when they actually take orders only for half an hour. So bad advertising, bad attitude of staff and bad service. Definitely not a place I'm going again.

I went in for the buffet. Prices are reasonable, starters great. Main course items were a lot but quantity was very limited, by the time we started eating half the items were almost over and I don't think they were gonna replace them either. Maybe we went in late.

Just enjoyed the Sunday Brunch; real value for money, good food, piping hot breads served on the table, good service and the welcome is warm 👍😊.

Food was very tasty and the service was also very good. Ambience was good but the place becomes very noisy sometimes. We ordered Punjabi food and few Mexican starters. We enjoyed the food here. Good restaurant.

I and my friends were there to celebrate our graduation eve... Food was ok-ok. Service is not at all satisfactory. Many thngs from the menu was out of stock and also the manager was not available that day. On having issue with one of our main entree order the staff answered us so rudely though we were calm and just explaining him the problem. They really need to work upon their staff and service quality.<br/>Wont recommend anyone to go for any special occasion.. Our evening was wasted.

Worst service. It took 2 hrs for our group of 12 to dine out. Soup to desert worst choice. Improper order delivery. The staff keeps on watching TV when all are calling for food. Worst Esperance. Not recommended.

Hit it if you are in love with punjabi food. Waste of money and time if opting for anything other than that. Ambience is great, peaceful and pleasant.

In vadodra i have been here firt time and i really like the way of surving and the food was also good it is like family restaurant must visit one time..

Sawan's Gravies serves delicious appetite...and the ambiance at the restaurant is also amazing ....i love have their Chinese and North Indian food.

A very good food with a good service and excellent ambiance and the cherry on the top is the delicious ice cream that they have with many varieties will surely look up going second time.

We have been there on our son's birthday. The manager has spoiled the mood of entire occassion by his arrogant behavior. I must say, Please do not ever plan any special occassion of your life at this place. <br/><br/>I have posted feedback on their FB page and they blocked me. They just want to convey goody goody to their customers rather than confronting the truth and improve their offerings.

i have visited this place many times i have found it the best place in the city. food is so yummy service is good. one thing i like about this restaurant is i have never seen any such restaurant who gives senatizer before u have your food and to make you feel fresh and warm they gave u hot towels which i found so intresting. i think all should go and visit this place for sure.

We have been to Sawan's Gravies few minutes back. The manager (who is taking appointments) having serious ATTITUDE issues. He does not know how to talk with clients. We all (including my elders) found him very rude. We had to walk out despite of having planned dinner at the venue. I must say, every barodian should boycott this place.<br/><br/>I have personally advised the manager to go for some coaching that could teach him the customer behavior lessons.<br/><br/>I give them ZERO out of five. (No option so selecting one). I will ensure that my voice will reach to maximum barodians.
