The udupi restaurant,ruling in the food industry since 1922.. We ordered punjabi fix thali,which prize is 130rs.the taste of thali is good..must try at least for one time.. Separate tip:-you have to choice between 6 puri or 4 roti with the thali,must go with the roti because puri was so oily but taste of puri was good… Service is good,overall experience was great…

Hi all ! Had dinner with my family. Ordered Mysore masala dosa, puri bhaji and mix uttapam. Taste-superb, less oily, very light on stomach, sambhar was awesome and of course reasonable on pocket just for Rs. 415. Also, note Udupi restaurant is in fatehganj area since last 35 years and still maintaining south Indian taste at the topmost level in Vadodara. Thumbs 👍 up.

However, it's forte is south Indian food with mouth watering sambhar. It also offers fixed thali options at reasonable prices. If you are looking for ambience,this is not the place for you.

There was no ambience at all. It is an average restaurant. But the taste of the food was simple and good. Service was fast. Staff is courteous.

Well I had ordered lunch, Price 120/- - 2 Veg - 4 Chapati - Dal Rice - Buttermilk The taste is good, Quality of chapati is also good. The rice was average. Quantity is Enough for a single person. Good place with a family vibe ambience. Good service , they come and ask you personally if you need something.

Having heard consistently great feedback from all our friends about this restaurant, it was high time we tried it ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We ordered Idli Vada, Sambhar Vada, Plain Dosa and Dahi Vada. Everything tasted superb and was quite filling too. The only downside was that the Dahi Vada was overly sweet and we couldn't finish it. I hope they make it less sweet to appeal to everyone. Overall a real nice experience and we wouod be going back for sure. 100% recommended.

Nice typical taste of Idly Vada Dosa and reasonable rates. Visited from Vasna Road area, to explore South Indian Breakfast, after reading various reviews, and it met that. Maintained and followed protocol.

Can't guarantee about taste. Sometimes it's salty , sometimes their is no salt at all, little costly as you would require to pay extra for extra chutneys. And if you want to eat heavy then go for thali, not dosa as after finishing with your food it may feel like your stomach is empty

One of the few restaurants in Vadodara to serve authentic south Indian dishes. I would say this place is better than 22nd parallel. Quick service and good hospitality. Food quality is also good.

Udipi's experience was great. It's difficult to locate it from the road direct as it's inside a building's basement thus suitable and comfortable to bring grand parents here as they don't have to climb. Sitting arrangement was quite enough to accommodate around 100-140 person at a time. We have ordered Chhole-kulche, Dosa, Uttapam, Idli sambhr and Masala Biriyani. The food looks great. The taste was satisfactory. UDIPI is a multi cuisine restaurant. The restaurant was clean and calm. There was sufficient illumination. Hand washing facility is there. During weekends, a premium rush of people is there, so be early to avoid waiting. The staff was also polite and humble. Overall 4/5. The only thing i don't like is that it's vicinity. In the entrance, there are some shops near udipi which is a smoker point.So the whole entry area is full of smoke of sigarates. That was quite offensive!

Being from South India, this is a great respite in the city. The seating area is very big, and the crowd is quite a lot.<br/>Went here for dinner and the thalis are extremely reasonable. You have an option for selecting from poori and roti. In drinks, you can select between coke and butter milk. The quantity is quite a lot, with 2 curries, Dal and jeera rice. But it would be great if a sweet was added to it, as a dessert.<br/>The service is extremely fast, great and efficient. Although the ambience is not that great, it's a great place for a wholesome meal.

Simple udupi joint for a quick dine affair. I ordered veg thali and idli sambhar. Quick service value for money and good place to have South indian food. They don't accept card but paytm and cash.

The dosa’s here are amazing and really inexpensive. Which is why I’m a frequent visitor to this restaurant I just love the place. The ambience is a bit below average. the mini-meal are good too.

I am never disappointed here, though it sells good southern food but my favorite is the north Indian sabji like palak paneer, Kaju masala, paneer teeka masala and mushroom masala. Also like Chinese especially manchurian. It offers tasty food that is extremely pocket friendly. keep it up guys.

I know this restaurant since from college days. Nice place to have typical South Indian breakfasts and meal. Must try idli dip in sambar, masala dosa, rava dosa and upma. It's really value for money.

If I am not wrong I visited this place around last Sunday, the ambience and all is good for a family dine and so is the food, I ordered masala dosa and chole puri , both were tasty though the chole was not prepared the way it is prepared in north but being a south Indian restro the taste was good and of course dosa was also tasty, and it is also not too harsh on your pocket so a worth visiting place.<br/>I like the way their waiters treat us..😀

It is a very old restaurant almost 20 yrs old.<br/>But the food quality is the same as before.<br/>Good food quantity & quality. Its fix lunch is also good.<br/>Nice service. Fast service i would say.<br/>There was an AC room but now they removed that room. But air circulation is so good that there si no need of AC!!!

Took my breakfast today on my visit to Vadodara. Spacious location with good taste of South Indian cuisine. The style of service (By waiters) should be improved. They are humble and generous. Value for money.

Uddupi is a basically sout indian restaurant located near to 7 seas mall<br/>2 month ago i have visited this place and i ordered fix lunch it servs one punjabi subji one gujrati sabji jera rice dal and 4 roti the rate of this thali is 90 rupess the test of punjabi sabji is okay but the gujrati sabji is good in test and the quality of rice is very low and it's not properly cook and the test of dal it not satisfied the test of your tounge overall it's not a good experience

The only place open if you land in Vadodara by the first flight, a simple Udupi restaurant as the name states. Was open at 07:00 am<br/><br/>The wadas are hot and crispy as they would be fresh out of the oil, idlis soft and steaming.<br/><br/>Had ordered an Upma too<br/><br/>Overall a good experience

My regular Sunday breakfast go to place. Simple, straightforward, and brilliant. They serve good food, and that's all. South Indian food they serve is so fulfilling I overeat every damn time. The seating area is huge, doesn't feel suffocating, the seats are comfortably spaced as well. The guy who runs the place is so efficient, he switches on the fan when you sit down and switches it right off when you leave. Respect.

One of the most under rated places in Vadodara. If you want consistency, quality and great taste at fair price. This is the place to be.. I eat here very often. Try the mysore masala dosa and sada masala dosa.

If you're craving some South Indian and are in the karelibaug or fathegunj area, hop to this place without a second thought. Also, stick to ordering the South India dishes such as dosas and idli's. They won't let down.

Udupi is one of the old food joints that served the pleasure to varied food lovers, especially to South Indian food prompters. It opens early in the morning to serve breakfast, spanning the special and authentic menu designed from Idlis, Dosas, Uttapams. I usually prefer mornings to visit there to have scrumptious Idli/Vada Sambar or even Dosas for a heavy breakfast. Their Sambar is too good, that makes craving more for it. In dosas, Mysore Masala Dosa are a must try there. The place is quite old and it is not moderated yet since years, so one may feel it's an old restaurant already seeing old style tables and chairs. But food department is unrelated to the ambience. As there is not that much rush and the place rather being a big as well to accommodate around 50 pax at a time, the service is fast and prompt. They also serve Punjabi dishes to say, but their South Indian is a gala menu. It is sure a one time try for one's sound and free mornings to visit there and have their delicious South Indian food.

Superb place for quality South Indian flavour at reasonable rates. Since this restaurant is one of the oldest in Baroda it is unanimously a popular one. Service is fast and staff is also co-operative. One thing i love about this place is that the flavour is quite medium and normal spice which gives it a homemade feeling.

Went here looking for South Indian tiffin for dinner and should say what they served for the price was better than other south Indian eatouts in city. We tried a simple meal - saada dosa,rava masala dosa and idly vada. Quick service given the nature of tiffin and chutney sambar were also better than ones you get in the city. Of course they saved up on the dals in tadka maybe cost-cutting and given other cuisine dishes and mini thaalis on menu they seem to have variety only for dosa idly vada but nothing more south Indian like pongal upma adai other kinds of vadai etc. <br/>Maybe we will head again here to try their mini thaalis.

Its a good restaurant.I have been here a number of times for lunch.Here u will get excellent south indian food.North Indian food is also good.This restaurant doesnt have much decorations and appears normal.The best thing is,its very pocket friendly.

Have visites many times with office colleagues and family members. Sometimes alone as well. A typical south indian establishment for food hoggers like me. I love the fried idli , Dosas (masala and plain) all kinds rather. Crazy for their Coffee and bread and butter . Upma lovers its nice but without veggies . You get that only max till 10.30 am that too if you are lucky enough. Plain steamed idli is also nice. Have never tasted their lunch and north indian and chinese preperations. Moderate in ambience and price and quick in service. Should go for heavy breakfast. I also love the coconut churney there. Sambhar can be better any day. Strongly recommend to all.
