Review Filocafe - Varanasi

Nathalie Figueroa
Beautiful, historic home conveniently located near the main ghats were the sunrise and sunset ceremonies are held . The staff are very friendly and the food is included and homemade. I scheduled an all day tour with them and had the best time with our tour guide who is a true cultural activist. All in all, top hostel experience I've had while spending 12+ months in India.

Heritage house beautifully renovated and cared for by a lovely team! The rooms are colourful and decorated with detail. Breakfast and lunch are included, home-made, simple and delicious! Stayed here for almost two weeks and loved it!

Pros: Absolutely loved the stay and the staff with their warm smiles and homely food! Don't think Varanasi would have been the same without our stay at Kautilya Society! Location, staff, timings, cleanliness, food was all perfect and can't think of any drawback. Cons: 1) They don't mention anywhere a registration fee of 200 Rs per person to enroll as a member of the society, without which one cannot stay here. 2) I found the boat ride rates told to us at the stay far more expensive. I'll suggest travelers to explore a bit on their own for boat rides/ Ganga arti/ other experiences, best to take a walk around in town and find out these rates for yourself from the locals.

Best ever in Kashi, Varanasi, only few meters from the main gath and ceremony. GREAT HOSPITALITY THERE! One Family!

In ogni caso permanenza positiva, cibo eccellente, incontri certamente interessanti.
