Review Madhur Milan Cafe - Varanasi

Very tasty food. Exceptional value. While traveling in India we try to look for restaurants that are busy. I figure if it’s busy the food is better and hopefully safer to eat. We went here twice in 2 days. They have a lot of seats and they were really full. The thali was more than I could eat. 300 INR is a very fair price for what you get. Other reviews say they got sick but we didn’t. While in India it is important to find safe places to eat, I believe this is a safe place. Tables are close together and we met a nice family.

We wanted to have a quick bite and so tried South-Indian here. The taste is good however there's a lot of rush as it is close to Dashashwamedh Ghat however Cleanliness is compromised and one can notice that easily after visiting here.

On main road near dashswameth Gath. Food is really good. South Indian options are excellent. Thali is ideal for lunch and it costed us 120/- . However tiffin items served too. Quick service in ground floor/ cellar. Always crowded indicating it to be a decent choice. Not a a/c restaurant but still cool. D cent hygiene... Try once for sure

Food was ok but costly as you get same taste in other shops at cheaper rate, but dont forget to try the desi samosa infront of that shop, if you are a samosa lover

Very good food shop near bishwanath temple . it is situated beside of gate no 1 of temple . here you can get sabji, kachuri, jilibi, sweets and other different food. This shop is more over clean. You can get breakfast from early in the morning. This shop is only closed at night.

Small and crowded place located in dashashwamedh road. The taste and quality of food is average and the service is bit slow. I ordered lassi and samosa chola which was average in taste.

Situated at the main entrance of the Gate no 1 of Vishwanath Temple this place is always packed with people almost all of them being the pilgrims.

It has a two floor sitting and has an open kitchen where you can spot puris Sabji and jalebi , they also serve south indian dishes.

This place just serves very average food , sometimes the jalebis are very cold , the puri stale and also the stuffings in the dosa is just mashed potatoes without any flavours. This is just packed because of the benefit of the location.

I don't know why has this place been recommend by the different famous channels.

Go to this place for disappointment.

Very simple restaurant with a very typical benarasi ambience..Go to Vishwanath temple early in morning...come out have kachodi sabzi or chana bhatura ...enjoy busy streets of dashashwamedh while eating..and the go to the ghats ..sit there for a while...I bet you will never forget the experience...and yes don't go there if you are expecting the same streotypical valet style service and food that you get in any hot shot restaurant ,you will be certainly disappointed..But go there for sure if you want to experience the simplicity that Varanasi personifies...

Madhur Milan, located in the hub of Varanasi's booming food paradise, Dashaswamedh Road was a disappointment.

Food: 2/5
Service: 2.5/5
VFM: 2/5
Ambience:1.5/5

Had ordered the usual Breakfast Dishes.

1. Chole Puri: Played a safe option and turned out to be okay. Nothing to praise the dish about.

2. Idly-Vada with Chutney: As I currently Live In Bengaluru I am used to far better taste of thisSouth Indian Delicacy.
Was way below Par in terms of taste. The Idly also was not freshly cooked.

3. Dahi Bhalle: This was the Only Dish that served up to the expectation I had gone in to the restaurant with.
Well made.

As for the Service and Ambience.
It was overly crowded and we had to wait very long for our order in spite of the fact that this place owns two floors if area. So Bad Service to Say the Least.
And the Place also Fogs up with the smoke from the Oil coming up from the Frying pan at the entrance that kills the dining experience.

This small restro really made my day.we went there for breakfast .orderd 3plates of chana batura and 1plates of kachoori and jalebis. Kachori and chana batura both taste was so good.specially chana batura,it was so soft and tasty and the jalebis are also good.

Ideal place for typical Banarasi breakfast and snacks -chole samose, chole bhature and hot jalebis. I also had Andhra thali which reminded me of ghar ka khana. Even the paneer dishes won't disappoint you. I prefer the seating upstairs which is less crowded and noisy. Good value for money. P.S. they cook without onions and garlic

Not a big fan of poori bhaaji to begin with, so you can imagine my discomfort when I was offered 4 freshly deep-fried pooris, aloo sabzi for breakfast, and if that wasn't enough, they added two sweet and sticky jalebis. I am not a big fan of the above-mentioned but from everyone's reaction, it was good. Very popular and brilliantly located "cafe". It is 2 mins away from the ghats and right next to the kashi temple. For 7 people we paid only 500 bucks.
