When you are in Varanasi, then this place should be a must visit place for all lassi lovers. The lassi was sooooo good. Their unique thing is that they add rabri on the top of the lassi. The taste was just too unique and too good. Very pocket friendly. Staffs are very good. A very good experience
They add a thick layer of rabri before pouring the lassi into that big earthen glass and again they top it with rabri malai and dry fruits and it is enough to fill your tummy.
My father took us to Pehelwan lassi waala after few temple visits.
I could see the long queue of people waiting for their food to come.
I love that most of the places in Varanasi serves food, lassi and chai in Khullad which gives it earthy taste.

The dahi was awesome. It was fresh, sugerfree and sour in taste. A real curd without any add-ons.
The rabdi was ok. It was good quite tasty too but i wouldn't say that it's the best in Varanasi.
You'll get a lot more tastier rabdis in the streets of Varanasi.

So there is nothing that you can not enjoy about this sweet shop.
Opened in year bla bla before the birth of christ,serves only lassi and some indian sweets.
This little place is always crowded and there is no seating area,as because of the narrow roads and dense traffic.
Rosugulla and sweet lassi is something you should not miss.
Wanted to eat something sweet one of my friend suggested us to to go this little place there is no sitting area mostly crowded by the University kids , you should try the full lassi and some rasgulla .

It was our(I and my friends) third day in Benares and we had been roaming around the streets hither and thither with no purpose at all, since we had covered most of the things to do in Benares in two days. It was a hot sunny day and we were tired like anything by the afternoon. We were in a desperate need to revitalize ourselves with something refreshing, and then one of us suggested that we go to Pahalwan Lassi for a Kulhad of this energizing drink.
We followed the directions on Google Maps and reached there within five minutes of walking. There were three shops named Pahalwan Lassi side by side. Even we weren't sure which is the original one and went for the middle one looking at the crowd. We ordered 3 kulhads of Lassi. The Lassi served here had a really thick consistency that one had to eat it with a spoon instead of drink it straight from the Kulhad. It was topped with Rabri, Kesar flavoring and Pista that took the flavors to a whole new level. Its in the cities like Benares and Allahabad that one can find such a fulfilling serving of Lassi. These are one of the things that must be tried in these places.
This place is famous for lassi and malaiyo. Also serves delicious kachori and sabzi. Pahalwan lassi is the best for lassi in the lanka region.

There are four of these and I’ve tried their lassi at 3 places. They’re the best deal! I love their rabdi lassi. I couldn’t stand the watery dilution of the ice cubes they kept adding to it because it was summer. But I bought home a few and refrigerated instead of adding ice and then totally enjoyed it.

The best lassi I have ever tasted. One should try this. They have medium n the large size of kulhad, so accordingly one can order. Perfect drink for summers. Loved it.

Quite polite service... one should try all the lassis here... they've hardly 5-7 items in their menu.. i can still remember the taste of the Rabdi, i just loved it.
If you're in varanasi and you haven't tries lassi yet rush to pahlwaan lassi. And i would personally suggest you to refer to the first shop they make it really awesome.

Try Pahalwan Lassi's fruit flavours. Topping with mix fruit they serve a big Purwa (Kulhad) of Lassi. Which works for an entire day. Reasonable prices and yummilicious. The only thing that bothers me about the hygiene, the place around the shop is not very clean. So be careful while you try something from here. Pahalwan Lassi, it's very obvious from the name that this outlet is famous for Lassi's and Malaiyo's. You would come back again and again for these tasty drinks. The speciality about Pehlwan Lassi is that they offer milk after a particular hour at night and the more late you come the more tasty milk you get. So going on a walk before going to sleep? This was really good and the quite pocket friendly. Tried both lassi and makkhan malaiyo (available only for 3 months).
Lassi was topped with some rabri and the taste was really good. Also, you get some milk with maliyo. Do try!
Lassi's over here are to die for, super delicious and the khoa on the top is like cherry on the cake.

A very popular lassi outlet on the centre of varanasi this place serve a very large amount of lassi seriously a large amount I must say the portion of the lassi is quite big will suggest you to firstly share it with a partner if you have one. The lassi was really fresh and rich in nature the lassi come up with rabdi if you are looking for a plain lassi then you need to ask for it. The lassi are made in front of you the process is actually visible so you can see what's happening with your lassi
The service is real quick the owners are really friendly if you are a traveler they will even pose with you for a photo,the name of the outlet suits because you will be seeing pehlwans(bodybuilders) standing on the outlet and managing the place
