Review Blue Heaven - Varanasi

Sagnik Saha
Blue Heaven restaurant at Varanasi is probably the best restaurant you can find near the Dashaswamedh Ghat. With a fine seating capacity of 30+, you won't feel cramped because of the airy and the spacious dining. With an option to choose between veg and non veg, this restaurant serves a variety of meals. From Chinese to Indian, Pizzas to Tandoori Chicken, you can avail it all here. The waiters are courteous and they are quite quick in serving their customers. You have the provision of a separate wash room for both men and women and also a handbasin, which is very much needed before you dig into their food.

Horrible experience. Dirty utensils bad food that's the best way to describe the place. Service was even worse. In the end they billed us for 9 papads while we were served only 6. Thankfully they accepted the mistake.

This restaurant is advertised as being fully AC however it seems that their interpretation of AC is to use fans. The food was good but nothing outstanding. The flavors were quite traditional but didn't have the depth of taste that I love in Indian food. So, if ordinary is what you are looking for then this is your place. We ordered butter chicken, paneer do pyaza, chicken chowmein (I know, Indian Chinese) and garlic naan. Service was good however we were given some dirty utensils. The soap was also practically empty at the hand wash basin. All in all, I'd say it was a somewhat average experience.
