Review Rajat's Roof 80 - Varanasi

The food here is affordable and tasty. The ambience is authentic Indian. Food service is good and they even took a custom order. Overall a good experience.

I go mostly for the thali. The taste is fresh and extremely good. Quantity also is good. It's a quiet place. Not much busy.

Went straight up to the rooftop. They let me write my order down. The waiting time was fine, normal. Nothing like how the previous reviews suggested. Food was nice. The cold coffee was very frothy (half the glass was froth) but I told him and he gave us more with no hassle, but a smile! Chilled on the rooftop for a while after finishing with no pressure to buy more. Overall, I'm happy.

This place is bound to have a mixed review. They take almost an hour to cook your food. Pasta and paneer tikka were very nicely cooked. No complaints from my side as I had an ample time. But you cant take an hour to prepare food.

Small but nice place. After roaming in the hot city, this place is good to take rest and eat delicious stuff. I feel I had the best pasta in my life here. This place is located very close to Assi Ghat so that after getting refreshed, you can head towards the ghats for fun.

This hotel is famous for its delious italian food and specially the pasta, there are many kinds of pastas available here like fuzli pasta, pan pasta, homemade pasta etc. and they are available in two kind of sauces white and red but the taste of red sauce pasta is not as good as the white sauce and you may not like it but white sauce pasta is awesome and available at a price of Rs.180 per plate. The area for eating is very good and there is one AC Hall in which you can sit for a good time and if you are a smoker then there is also a place available at the rooftop as the name of restaurant is rooftop 80(80 for assi ghat). Ps: The pasta is so tasty that my freind can not resist for slow eating

Good place, relaxed ambience, friendly owner. Request nicely and he might go out of the way to prepare a dish that you want, which is not available on the menu.

Simple food and delicious food, but be prepared for a long wait, as they make each dish from scratch.

Ordered first time. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Very less potion. Couldn't serve even two guests. Must and should improve.

Worst food, worst packaging....I just wasted my money and feeling sick now because the food was like they would have prepared it 10 days before
Apart from the location this place has nothing.

The place is congested. It serves very bad pasta and the noodles. The manchurian balls were uncooked. The coffee cold.

I wont write a lot for this place highly unrecommended.

Service was terribly slow. We ordered a burger, veg noodles and veg Manchurian. Even though we were the only customers, it took >45 minutes.

Food tasted nothing like it should (also way overpriced for the amount served). Quantity of noodles was so less that it was not even enough for a single person. The quality was the same as you would get at the roadside stalls outside for half the price. Manchurian tasted like someone grabbed all the spices in the kitchen and threw them together to create some unholy combination. Burger was crap too.

You can sit either on the rooftop in chairs or in the room below which has comfortable cushions on the floor. You can go smoke on the rooftop but don't bother ordering food, you'll get a plate full of disappointment.

If you are living away from home and bored of mess food then this is the place you ought to be! Great food(home wali feeling) at a very cheap price (really cheap).Service is terrible the reason being he serves you fresh so it compensates it. Quite place to hang out!
Shashwat S Tripathi
Don't even think of going to this place, their service is extremely bad and this place is a big time cheat. They served me an orange juice which was bitter and they refused to change it or even add sugar.
I ordered brouschetta and I'm attaching a picture.
Eat at some local "thela" but not this place.
P. S zomato does not have a negative review that's why 1

If you are very hungry and immediately want your food to be served, this is not the place for you. But, if you wish to sit and talk and can have food between all that with your friends and special ones, this is the right place for you!

The place might not have received great reviews and the reason being that it is located at Assi ghat where people first visit and then when hungry, they seek for the place. However the food is not so great that you might wanna go there everytime. You may wanna try Indian but don't go for Italian!

But, if you wish to spend some quality time with people, the village-like ambience serves it well! You get to sit on the floor over cushions which only makes your time and talks more comfy! :)

However, the fact that they allow smoking within the small place they provide may disturb you.

The food was quite average. We had some pasta in tomato sauce. I would not try it again. The place itself is not too bad and the service was alright.

Hmm so you are now in varanasi, so called one of The oldest city. If you are in the such a heritage place how can you forego the tradition? The ambience is actually traditional. Guests are supposed to sit on a cushion on the ground. Nothing is hifi about it but everything is so right in there.
Food is okaish. Don't expect the known dishes to taste as tasty as out of mother's kitchen. They are edible and come at a decent price. You can totally try this place out.

Asked the guy what was the best north Indian dish they could prepare. First thing he said was Paneer Butter Masala and I ordered it. What was served was nowhere close to Paneer Butter Masala. The gravy had raw onion. One can imagine. Aloo paratha, though, was okay. The ambiance is bad albeit the yogic theme is good. There was an awkward smell. Not visiting it again.
Have thus far only been disappointed in most restaurants at Varanasi.

Going by some of the photos of this place that people had shared, I decided to give it a try. BIG MISTAKE. The food is unapologetically ordinary and amazingly consistent. I say this coz we ordered pasta, noodles and some pakoras and each of them was consistent in their mediocrity. They served it just for the sake of it. The prices are not justified and the staff isn't even aware of some of the dishes in the menu.
Out of the 1.5, I gave it- 1 is for the interiors ( neat, yogic and enchanting) and 0.5 is for the free WiFi. A must avoid.

Very Nice food.
Had a tasty dinner wid my friends. All items were very tasty and rich in quality too. Food is served hot and in time. Ambiance is also good. Do go if you visit Aasi ghat.
