Review Bamboo Bay (the Park) - Visakhapatnam

BAmboo Bay is the signature northIndian/ Mughlai cuisine outlet of The Park, Vizag and has a romantic outdoor setup with candle lights. The place is best enjoyed at sunset or dinner with sand beneath your feet. The dishes are however on the higher side but can be custommade to your liking, with service a bit slower (one negative!). We tried the butter chicken and paneer makhani along with the fluffy LAchha parantha nad butter naan. The quantities of the dishes is something which should be increased! But overall a nice place for a couple or group for drinking and dining :)

Ambience - fantastic, beach vibes, sand, cool breeze❤ Food - average😇 Service - very good 😍 But advance booking is better Better go evening....!!!

We visited late night and the restaurant was about to close.The restaurant is located on the shore of the beach.The crowd was mostly with Navy people from USA.We only found 2 groups from Vizag.We took two beers of Stella & Hoegaarden along with one med chicken thin crust pizza.The pizza guy was telling he is working from morning 11 and making pizza.He was about to wrap up but we requested him and he made it for us.The ambience was good.As it was last moment plan for us we dint enjoy.Thr restaurant is closed by 11 so plan accordingly.

I ordered veg biryani through swiggy. Taste was very bad, too much masala and the taste is not at all like biryani. They had given spoiled green chillies. It is not like a star hotel.

Amazing restaurant. Next to the beach, beautiful lighting and amazing food. Best place to head out with friends for food and drinks. Adds to the experience with seafood preparations. Some amazing in-house cocktail infusions with local spices. Absolutely 5 star services and experience

Not a place for food lovers , very limited menu. Tried there special biryani but found nothing special ^^cost 650 bucks^^ Less in quantity in comparison to other restaurants in the city. This is located in the Lawson Bay colony, beach road. A costly place with good sorroundings, visited here once with friends. Well everything seems to be good here I mean the place and the ambience, we ordered thai chicken and meat balls and other items too, which costed us 1500 approx. The thai chicken was just lovely with perfect seasoning and pudina chutney spread over it, tasted totally different(good) I mean. Meat balls were average and so was the other items.<br/>It was just worth visiting here, waiting to visit again

Nice setup right next to the beach and authentic South Indian menu. The food tasted good and sometimes many dishes taste the same maybe due to the domination of spices or the high spirits 🍻<br/><br/>Caution: Your taste buds could get numb due to spicy food but you are sitting right next to the watering hole which could rejuvenate your spirits

Great ambience by the to sea to relax n sip some scotch. It has a nice feel to enjoy a casual evening. Only issue...food taste can be improved to give the real coastal feel. Anyways I will visit again.

Went to this place recently with my friends. Beach view was beautiful. Service was good. We had best crab, Biriyani and ice creams especially rose petal and popcorn gelato

This is one of restaurants in The Park, Vishakhapattanam. Found the sea food at this place to be good. Tried tandoori jhinga, crab, fish tawa fry, prawns chettinad, chicken stew and appam which were good. Tandoor pomfert and vanjaram cpuld have been better especially for the price they charged for it. Veg starters and veg mains were of acceptable taste. The ambience is great as it is by the sea side. Found the service also to be good.

Location and ambience : Probably this is the only place in Vizag where you can sit on the beach to have couple of drinks. It's an open air place, perfect for a winter evening. Good for a romantic dinner. <br/><br/>Food & drink - we ordered mutton kebab & prawn dish as starters, 2 masala kulcha, nun, hydrabadi dum chicken biriyani, dum ka murgh as main course and shahi badam rabri as desert. With this food, we took packaged drinking water, 3 pints of kingfisher ultra, 1 teachers 50 & 1 mojito. This was sufficient for 4 of us. Mojito was good as it was not super sweet. Food was tasty as well. Special mention : Masala kulcha, biriyani, shahi badam rabri. <br/><br/>Pocket pinch : Our total cost was Rs 5840 among which there were 18% GST and 10% service charge. <br/><br/>Cons: starters quantity could be little more compared to the price. <br/><br/>Service : super attentive & friendly as you can expect from The The Park. <br/> <br/>Although it's little high on pocket, this place is value for money !!

This is probably the best restaurant in the city. Its not necessarily a fine dining restaurant but the ambience,food and service is just amazing. The team members are very polite and despite the the fact it was mostly packed, the manager alloted a great sea view table for us(though we had to wait a lil Coz it was full). Services were absolutely top notch and we had a great experience. Must visit for Indian food lovers.

<br/>We were a group of 15 people and came to Bamboo bay, location and ambience was great, however food service was pathetic, long delays, stew was served first and appams came after long wait. All food items were served with high delays, it was pointed out to Manager and staff, however they were unable to do any thing and had all kind of excuses. The problem is with cook too, who can't make things.

This is the only place in Vizag to my knowledge where one can sit close to beach and have liquor. Food is great. Refreshing experience with calm all over the place with wave sounds in the background. Expensive in my opinion unless you have The Park annual dining card.

First visit to the restaurant in The Park. We were here on my husband's birthday dinner and it was a relaxing calm one. The tables are arranged outdoor next to the beach, so u can see the sea if you choose the right table. The lighting is dim with one light on top of each table giving it a cozy ambience. I had requested for a candle light arrangement. So it was spot on just wat I wanted in vizag on a special day.<br/>The restaurant by itself is silent but unfortunately there was loud music right in the neighboring hotel this was disappointing. There was some seat arrangement on the beach right in front of restaurant not sure if we were allowed to sit their and relax. Service is awesome. We ordered tandoor Panner, kulcha , Gobi shimla mirch lababdar . kulcha was good. Side dish was good in terms of quantity and it was served hot though this is outdoor seating. Since its quite dark its difficult to see chillies in the food and we eat them by mistake. We did bit a few! While we were finishing up the gravy at the end with few serves we found something really bitter. That kind of split our taste at the end. First off..ambience... An amazingly put up beach side open restaurant for a perfect romantic dining.. Right place to spend a lazy evening with ur lot, can't tell the same for sunny afternoons though due to humidity .. The food is tasty .. Pretty much impressed with their service and hospitality..

Ambience is one of the best in vizag,food nd service is good,cost is par with THE PARK brand,tried blue moon,tandoori gobhi,nice taste.Would recommend to visit with freinds nd family for treat of some occasion

The place is a must visit for it's ambiance, the view of the beach , the sea breeze makes it iconic. If you love having food by the beach side this is a must visit.<br/>The food is ok, nothing great but what you would expect from a hotel like Park.<br/>We have gone many times before, though we did stop visiting this place as the food would always end up being served cold because of the distance between kitchen and seating, which has now been rectified.<br/><br/>The problem here is very simple, as a vegetarian the Andhra,Chettinad and Mughlai dishes are not a lot varying. The starters are a issue while ordering, a couple of more soups could do.<br/>We had a Tomato based and a mushroom based shorba which turned out well, it was not completely a shorba nor a soup, but did taste really good.<br/>For starters we had a Babycorn one, it was really well made considering that it was a signature dish of the place and a Tandoori aalo which was prepared well, not overdone.<br/><br/>For mains we had a Dal Makhanwala(makhni), which had a good quantity of ghee in it, the dal tasted well, I am not a big fan off ghee in dal though my family did like it.<br/>A Andhra style Kaju curry, which I had thought would have been in Red gravy as I have had super awesome Cashew curries in Andhra but was not, the taste was ok the drumsticks did not really add the flavour to the dish.<br/>The paneer butter masala was well made and the paneer was soft and not chewy.<br/>Most off the deserts were not available which was sad. The Rasmalai was average and the Rabri was bad especially with the PAN topping made which ruined it.<br/><br/>All in all a good place to hangout by the beach side, order a beer if you like to drink and enjoy the time

What a place!! Location! Location! Location! Go down there in the evening for a drink or two and enjoy the sound of the sea..... Almost surreal... Makes you feel philosophical....<br/><br/>Excellent service! Special mention of Manoj, the manager of this restaurant. We ordered bloody Marys, Tandoori chicken, fish tikka, dal makhani and garlic naans.<br/><br/>Tandoori chicken - pretty good. Not the best I've had...<br/>Fish tikka - really good fish. Delicious, soft, succulent and downright awesome. <br/>Dal makhani - it was pretty good. Goes well with the garlic naan.<br/>Garlic naan - pretty good, perhaps a little too chewy. <br/>Bloody Mary - well made. Complemented the food.<br/><br/>Bill - Rs. 4500 <br/><br/>Bottom line - beautiful view, decent bartender and a good chef...<br/><br/>I'm heading back!<br/><br/>

I just cannot believe the horrible service being meted out to us. We are staying in the Park and this restaurant is kind of its flagship. It has the best view and you will be swayed by the ambience. <br/>Service is not existent. No one came to take order for the last 35 minutes till we went and pleased them to. They have showcased signatures cocktails. But as they were short staffed they refused to serve the same to us. Just unbelievable.

One of the few restaurants ON THE BEACH. Last 12 years I have enjoyed a drink and Andhra special while watching and listening to the waves, soul touching

The best thing about this place is its outdoor location that includes a beautiful open garden and an exquisite sea view. Talking about the food and service the latter was worse than the former. The food, overall, was delightful and it is facilitated by the drinks. There was a scope for improvement in veg category and non veg was dispensable.Go for the peaceful and calm environment and preferably on a date.

Really??!! 4 stars for this stinking shithole of a place? You dont become a great restaurant if you have nice gardens and good chairs. You need to serve good food and have a great service. From the time I booked the reservation till I visited this place, I was just aghast as to how they can get away with treating their customer so bad? I will rather eat at any roadside gaadi in Gajuwaka than eat at this over-rated piece of junk!<br/>Pls close this down, you are bringing the name of "Park" down with this place and with your attitude towards the customers.

I just wonder as to how did this hotel get so many star s , i still guess may be they might have just bought or some thing , i never felt the "s" of service , right from the reception i find attitudes , and forget about service . i some how felt ,"was i a guest " ? or were they ? , and i think i would be able to write a book of negates that they  hold to . if given a choice i would take away all the stars for the kind of customer service they provide . if you are looking  for a warm welcome and a courteous service , please forget it , you may find it better at an unexpected place but never at "The  park ". I still remember the first time when we have been to Park i was a kid , and what amazed me then was service then and now just don't even think about it .

A perfect place if you love the sound of the waves,if you believe in romanticism and if you want to spend a quiet, breezy evening with your loved ones.<br/>We visited this place in the evening and the seating near the private beach is absolutely gorgeous.<br/>We did not go for a full fledged dinner instead grabbed a few drinks and starters which was perfect.<br/>But yes it is Pricey because it is Park....

This place used to be lovely a few years ago. Not quite much anymore. The food has gone down from being remarkable to just about average now. If it weren't for the name and fame this restaurant has to offer, it would have been shut down by now.

There is no doubt that this place has one of the best outdoor sitting and an exceptional seaside view. The food here is equally luscious.<br/><br/>But what i found appalling here was the substandard service offered by their 24 x 7 confused staff. The staff is neither courteous nor active. They are lost in their own world and have absolutely no clue of the customer's requirements.<br/><br/>I had to wait for some 45 odd minutes just to catch a glimpse of their food menu and another 15 minutes after that before somebody could come and take the order. <br/><br/>Had a terrible experience as far as the service is concerned. However, the ambience was amazing, the view was appealing and the food, as mentioned before, was very palatable.

The best sea side dining experience ever had. The food is great and the ambience made me and ma spouse more special and she loved the experience. Don't miss it :)
