Review Ming Garden - Visakhapatnam

Located inside The Gateway Hotel at RK beach, this restaurant is considered to be one of the fine dining restaurants serving Asian delicacies. There is ample parking space. The restaurant’s ambience is themed as per the preparations they serve. Mr Nayak is polite, courteous and helpful enough to took you through the menu and guide towards your choice. We had only wok tossed chicken hakka noodles as we were near full. The portion were good and taste wise also nice. The tariff is definitely on the higher side. But I’m sure that anyone who’s visiting a property of Taj Hotels should be ready to spend few extra bucks. The view of Bay of Bengal from the restaurant as well as from the extended courtyard is mesmerising. Overall verdict- definitely recommended if you’re looking for a high end Asian restaurant.

Situated just opposite one of the most popular beaches in Vizag, this restaurant offers amazing food and aesthetics. There is a swimming pool area and a huge balcony/courtyard overlooking the beach where one can while away the foodgasm that this restaurant will leave one with. Our waiter, Mr. Nayak, was an absolute gentleman who helped us navigate the menu, engaged us in the history of the hotel and complimented us with an extra serving of dessert. The said dessert - dragon roll (in the pictures) - is a must try. We had also ordered seafood such as calamari, which was amazing. There is a section of special oriental food such as Chinese hotpot which requires prior intimation to prepare. It's a high-end restaurant, so be prepared to spend ₹3-4k for two. But it's worth it. Cocktails/mocktails are on point. Parking is available. Hands down, one of the best Asian cuisine places in Vizag.

Had the best chinese food of my life. I ordered Fish from their seafood section and Kung Pao noodles. Never had such a good fish in my life. Would highly recommend it. The quantity of food is very nice. 2 dishes can easily fill 2 people. I went there with 2 of my friends. We weren't so hungry at that time, so 2 dishes were enough for us. Total bill camr out to be 1015 (including taxes) which is actually very less for such a restaurant.

We had Crispy Honey Chicken and Phud Tai Chicken Noodles. The taste was excellent. B V Ramana served us pretty nicely. The music will take your mind somewhere you will find peace. Recommend this a must visit for all the people who love Chinese. Enjoyed my dinner over here.

The hotel food was good, the staff were nice and had very good services inside the city.

A must visit restaurant for asian cuisine lovers. We could sit quietly without any disturbance and enjoyed dinner over candid talks. Amazing service and taste. Highly recommended.

I liked dumplings.There is very comfortable sitting arrangement..There are other dishes that are tasty, like chicken egg fried rice, dragon roll (desert). It is a calm, cool, clean and hygienic place to enjoy with family.

Lovely ambience... Good food... Courteous staff.. and a lovely view.. what more can you ask for!! Food was not as authentic as mainland China or such... But for a place like Vizag, it was definitely one of the best Chinese I have had here and as close to authentic as possible

always had a pleasant experience when we have gone to Ming garden. One of the few places in Visakhapatnam to experience fine dining but also lucrative. The quality and quantity of food is definitely in one of the top of my list so far. Not too many items varieties in the menu but some dishes are also custom made as per your requirements. a kids friendly place and staff. There is a huge balcony overlooking the sea where kids can run around and play in good weather One of the fall back options in case you want to have a quite dinner / lunch at this place. Though options are there for friends and groups, I personally would not recommend it as it would disturb the ambience / quite experience for others in the restaurant. I have heard that unfortunately the entire building where the restaurant is housed is going to be demolished and reconstructed. In fact this time I went to the restaurant just to ensure that I experience Ming garden before it gets demolished. I do hope that Ming Garden restaurant finds its place in the new building / owner with already the present standards if not better.

Excellent ambience of the bar...though clustered and small...it is awesome...the dj nights are good and the drinks are awesome

Ming garden is one of my favourite restaurants in Vizag. They have one of the best Indo-chinese cruises. I celebrated my birthday here by reserving a table. If you are someone with a low tolerance for spice you should mention the same. I would specifically like to thank Mr. Nayak for his excellent service and making my day memorable, despite the last minute request for a cake. I have been a regular customer of the restaurant for years and throughout these years Mr. Nayak's service has been nothing but outstanding.
