Review Vaisakhi - Visakhapatnam

Kumaraswamy Gorla
The function hall is okay. Doesn't deserve five stars. The dining area( terrace top) is not much appreciable.

It's a nice place, taste is very good, especially butter masala dosa, it's a mouth watering dish. I can't believe that taste. It's really amazing. I also had puri, it's taste is average, overall it's a nice and decent hotel, you can visit with your family. Service is good. And they are following covid measures. Pricing is okay. Have a great day 😊

the food is totally not up to the mark. You get better food even on the streets. I was served cold thali after waiting for one hour. And the contents of it were just palatable. I am just saying that there other ways to spoil your Sundays.

Vaisakhi is not the same as it was earlier.
The staff are not at all caring. They are out of the site once the dish is on the table, same thing with the water. I had to beg for chutney though 😅
Quality of food is just ok. I really miss the old vaisakhi.

Food is good. But they should focus on guest order. I have been here with my family i waited like 15 mins to take my order, the staffs are not attentive actually, after the order they brought the food late... they didn't even fill the water... bit disappointed
Goutam Bibhuprasad Sahu
Worst place to go. Even if there was a zero i would have rated dad. Even the dogs wont eat them. They don't even agree that they serve such horrible food.

We ordered food to our office from Vaisakhi. We ordered veg manchuria, shahi paneer curry and parathas. The shahi paneer was very creamy and paneer was very soft. It was not at all chewy. However the parathas could have been better. The veg manchria was very dry and didn't have enough vegetables. We didn'tlike it. But the overall experience was good. The quantity served could suffice three people easily. Besides that nothing impressed us.

This was my first visit to this restaurant and boy oh boy was I impressed! It's tucked away in a corner beside the other veg restaurant Dharani, which by the way I am yet to explore.
We ordered the special veg thali which I found most of the people ordering as well. Seems to be the mainstay here. Anyways I had quite made up my mind on this one even before we ventured out of the house. Soup was served first and you can choose between sweet corn and tomato. We opted for sweet corn which was pretty decent. Then came the main course which contained a lot many items. South Indian dal, North Indian dal, paneer, aloo matar, okra and peanuts fry, beans, sambar, rasam, dahi vada, curd and a singular jalebi for dessert. Puris, flavored rice and white rice completed the combo. Everything is unlimited save a few and all the items I must say were delectable. Also at the end, you'll be given a scoop of ice cream and paan.
To top it all, the service too was exemplary which I've gotten used to in all the restaurants I have visited so far in this hotel. It's an amazing place for some good family or just me time accompanied by great food and fantastic service. Will certainly return to try out other items on the menu. Need I say more? Oh wait, Bon Appetit!
Vaisakhi is a veg restaurant located inside hotel daspalla. Today we went to this restaurant and ordered one executive thali, veg dum biryani.I loved executive thali whereas veg dum biryani was okay. Ambience and service was great.

Had been there yesterday on my week off from work...It's one of the restaurant of Daspalla hotels.. good ambiance, good seating area, but ya had to wait for the table for a while. The management was lil lagging in terms of managing the ppl waiting for the table..confusions...
So we did get a table after around 10-12 mins..We were seated. We ordered the special thali with hara-bhara kebab for starters. Then we waited with growling stomach.
Well we waited for a while..The service was quite slow. After a while we were served the sweet corn soup..It was good.. Soothingly warm n yummy..A pinch of pepper n salt to it..It got better..Then we got our starter n thali. Starter was as named..8 in numbers..It was good, hot, severed with pudina chutney n garnished veggies..
Then was the special thali. It was a big thali with lot of bowls with both north Indian n south Indian curries..panneer n green peas curry for north Indian curries..Also had what I figured was the mangalore bajji with stuffed gulab jamun..It was different.. also had thick curd, pooris n puliogre..It was a good tummy filling meal..After the thali, we were served a scope of ice cream as part of the thali..
AMBIANCE: 4/5
FOOD TASTE: 3.5/5
FOOD PRESENTATION: 3.5/5
SERVICE: 2.5/5
PRICE: 3.5/5

All in all a lil above satisfactory experience..It was good.. Could have been better..

Fantastic South Indian dishes.. especially idly sambar was mouth watering. Tomato chutney at it's best. Just loved it. The server Rama rao has so much of passion in serving and was so kind and enthusiastic. If u r in vizag and a veggie you would love this place

This is my one of the all favourite resturant from my childhood. Whenever I go there I recall my old memories after seeing the interiors and seating. But they disappointed me by changing the interiors. The look was completed changed.

Come to food, absolutely tasty and superb. Whatever you order everything is perfect. Have Andhra tiffins and coffee here without fail.

Ambience is perfect and staff are pleasant. Abundant parking space and wallet parking facility available.

This is one of the few restaurants with a separate vegetarian kitchen and serves pure vegetrain.

Don't miss and can repeatable.
Good food is served for the price.
The menu shows a variety of continental dishes but they do not live upto the expectations. Indian food is better.

Homely food coupled with contemporary ambience is Vaisakhi. Usually do Saturday family tiffins nights here but continental food during anytime of the week is just as good.

Good place for family dinners.!
Delicious food and good service.
It is spacious and neatly arranged..
Overall, this place is worth giving a shot at.!
Rama Teja Maddala
The restaurant seems to emphasize on controlling expenses than committing to quality, of late. First, the serving was very slow. Next, there were no tissues. Tissues were placed only after asking for it at the end of meal. Even the finger bowl had very lukewarm water that can't kill germs. Finally, they just used the stain remover spray to clean the table for next customer(we). No antibacterial liquid was used. And, the wiping cloth had that stink of an old tainted kitchen cloth. The table caught that smell upon cleaning with the cloth. The AC perfume covered the smell within a minute, but that would only be a facade, not true sanitation.

Dinner at Daspalla!

Decent ambiance with not much of bustling activity. Ample space and neatly arranged!

Had Idlies, pooris and vegetable fried rice! Surprised that there were no Dosas!

Pooris were good and then traditional alu curry served with the pooris was tasty.
Coconut chutney & allam chutneys went very well with the idlys.

Vegetable fried rice was bland.

Overall taste was good.

Must visit to try various south Indian dishes!

The most pathetic restaurants I have ever been to. One manager handles the entire hotel and it took us about 2 hours to finish our entire course.

The food delivered to us was first late than what we expected and to add to it, it wasn't hot. I was waiting for my food to come on one side and I was waiting for finger bowl to come on time and I was waiting even for my bill to come on time. Wait it doesn't end there, I was even waiting for the waiter to come and take my card for payment. The waiter comes and disappears saying I need to bring the machine. Now I get up, go to the counter politely ask him if he can take the payment or I'll walk away and then, magically the waiter comes with the machine and takes the payment. So much for one payment. Not sure how they are running this place. Its expensive and also honestly the food wasn't worth so much pain and waiting. Never ever going back here when I am in vizag.

Experience 1 :-
Been here with my parents a long back,we arrived here at around 8:00pm and ordered our required items mentioned in the menu.Half an hour has passed by then (8:30pm) we didn't received a single item,we've asked the person who took our menu that it's getting late,he went on saying that the food is getting ready and will be there on our table in few minutes, understanding the situation we didn't argue with him and the time has passed a 15 more minutes,To our astonishment he approached us with a sorry note that he has forgot to give the order to chef over there, disgusted by the explanation my father rebuked him for the thing he has done, thereafer the food we ordered at 8:00pm was served in our plates at around 9:15pm!!!!!
Experience 2 :-
After a brief hiatus we along with other family members visited this restaurant again in april 2015 the table we were allotted has a tv straight on our top where ipl match is being telecasted as the volume is high we complained to the server to mute the volume or reduce it a bit,the server came with a disgusting solution that it can't be possible since the remote is not available them but person who is sitting below the tv can swap their place with person of our group who has no disturbance with sound
Finally, what i say is hospitality is worst apart from that food is good
