I got confused seeing three hotels named Adi Shankar in one place. Later I had lunch at Adi Shankar Hotel located between the three. Food was good. Although the amount of mutton curry seems low to me for the price.
Very good food. Top class Bengali food available. Excellent Hisha fish (vapa, fry, masala curry with mustard sauce available. Other varieties of fishes and different Bengali style vegetarian preparation available. Excellent mutton curry available.
Food is little costly compared to other restaurants / outside.
Behaviour of staffs and front desk personnel is good.
Price is a bit higher but the food quality and taste will satisfy ones taste buds.
One of the best restaurants in agartala. You get hilsa fish here and the kind of hygiene they maintain is worth mentioning. However food is really expensive here. Hence it is advisable to ask for the rate before you order your food. For example a plate of fried hilsa cost 720 rupees per plate.

Great place to eat authentic Bengali food. It is not air conditioned. There are several restaurants of the same name in this line...I tried the second one. Food was very nice and staff was very cordial. All the Bengali items were served in good quantity. Price is little high but so are at most places in Agartala.

Good Hotel...must try Elish in here. Probably the best in Agartala. Though a bit pricey, it's worth it definitely.

There are 3 hotels with similar names at the same place. I went to Hotel Sankar. Others are Adi Sankar and Sankar Hotel. The quality of Bengali food served here is top class. I took Bhapa ilish which was of very good quality. Preparation was also good. The price is slightly on the higher side but it is worth the price. However, I gave it a 4 star because the quality of service as well as the logistics are not up to the mark which needs improvement.
