South Indian cusine in your mind or if your tast buds tempts for south indian cusine i guess Dakshinayan could be your best stop. I heard of this restaurant way back but visited recently. The location is quite accessable next to Gulmohar mall, Iscon char rasta and near Iscon BRTS Stop. The restaurant is fully Air conditioning. The ambiance is simple yet give you apeal of south indian culture. The staff wears an south attire with Black shirt and a black sarong.
Talking about my food experience, i visited wing my wife and toddler. We ordered murgapudi nei idli(idli seasoned with pudi & ghee) sambhar vadai(mendu vadai soaked in sambhar) & rava masala dosa.
The taste is quite promising i could say its one of the good ones that i have tested. I was satisfied with the dish i ordered, especially i loved the sambhar. I would like to try other few items from their menu.
Over all if you are looking for south Indian cusine, Dakshinayan is worth a try. Please let me know what's your review.

The food here, especially the different varieties of masala dosas are just authentic and awesome. The coconut chutney which they provide along with dosas is my personal favourite, I keep asking them for more and more of it, lol. Haven't tried the uttapams yet, is definitely on the wishlist for next time.
There is always a rush here on weekend evenings so try to reach as soon as possible to avoid the waitlist.
Finite menu does justice to what is being offered. A cozy place offering good south Indian food in Ahmadabad. Good filter coffee too.

Amazing food as always before. I have been eating here since 4 years and the best thing is taste which is really great it is still as it was. And it will be. I had tried many dishes and i really liked all of them. I will recommend this to all south indian food lovers.
This place is located at opp.Ramdev nagar pice station, near iscon cross road, This is purely South Indian cousins, decent very simple interior but still good place I can say , 8 to 10 steps to enter u can say first floor , and parking available at door step for four wheel and two wheelers, not seen from main road, but famous for its taste and quality, we come for dinner almost all table full at a time fifty persons can sit here, more than twelve table available, fast delivery hot serve here , appart from Idali and Dosa, his main item Paniyaram and Uttapam is really taste so good, red chutney also good, overall good taste must visit it. The washroom are well maintained, clean hygienic. Staff are cooperative.
One of the finest restaurants to relish South Indian delicacies in Ahmedabad. Famous for preparations in authentic style and consistent quality. Worth trying Rasam, Idli Vada and Rava Masala Dosa. Ulundu also worth mentioning. Rava Kesari being my favourite. Must visit while in Ahmedabad.
